  • css3 rotate alternative

    I am using the CSS3 rule, "rotate" to rotate a div containing text. You can see the page here: http://vitaminjdesign.com/v2/socialmedia.html. I am looking for cross browser support for rotating the div; however, this CS3 rule won't work on IE. Is there a jquery option or another javascript solution that will yield the same result, with cross browser compatibility?

    If I have 2 tables: <table id="Table1"> <tr> <td></td><td></td><td></td> </tr> </table> <table id="Table2"> <tr> <td></td><td></td><td></td><td></td> </tr> </table> The first has 3 columns, the second has 4 columns. How can I define a style to represent both tables when I want Table1's cell width to be 1/3 the width of the full table, and Table2's cells are 1/4 the width of the table?

  • IE7 Animated GIF Appears as a Static Image?

    Hello all, After a button is clicked to start a process on my web app, I show a small loading gif (animated) that rotates to indicate to the user something is happening. I put the gif img in place of the button like this using JQuery: $('#btn_holder').html('<img src="images/loading2.gif" style="margin-left:40px; margin-top:7px;" />'); This works great in all browsers (Firefox, IE8, Chrome) except IE7 on a windows server 2003. In IE, the gif appears but it is not animated. What's going on with IE7? How can I test what the problem is? Thanks all

  • How does one target all divs of any webpage but differentiate them in javascript?

    So I am trying to create an extension in Chrome (a prototype for a project that I am doing) that targets all of the <div> tags of any web page, hides them or rather doesn't display them until the user clicks the mouse (further explained below). So typing a url into the browser yields a white page. The person clicks, and the first <div> appears (probably the mast head or menu). The user clicks again and the second <div> appears. I have gotten to the point where I can hide or show all <div>'s (the obvious easy part) but I am not sure how to go about targeting each since every website has different id's for them while still using the <div> tag. This is what I need the most help with. This is part of a grander operation called the Web Crank. It's just a physical crank that controls the speed by which a web page loads. Each time you make one full rotation of the crank, one section (the first <div>) of the web page loads. The faster you go, the quicker the page loads. I hope this is clear enough. I am a newbie when it comes to this, but I have done some minor coding in the past and it's not such a big deal. Thanks for your help!

  • Menu glitchy on top of slideshow

    I have implemented the following set up (after being requested): slideshow of images changing, after the user mouse over, the menu would appear in the top right corner, it would disappear on mouse out. The problem is that the menu it glitchy in both IE6/7 and FF 3.5. I have tried Jquery hover, mouseenter, mouseleave, all with the same result. http://www.codecookery.com/test/index.html is it possible to make it not glitchy at all?

  • AjaxStart issue

    Hi All I am trying to build a shopping website with ajax. When a user clicks the "add to cart" image. The little loading image will show next to the Add To Cart Image. The first click works fine and the image showed as I expected. However, the second and the following clicks appends more images on the first loading image(2nd:add two loading images, 3rd: add three images..6 total images after 3 clicks). I did use ajaxStop and remove the first image...Not sure what's going on...Could use a help. Thanks a lot.   • Issues after customizing the Superfish drop-down menu

    I've been tinkering around with the excellent Superfish drop-down menu to fit my needs. Here's the result. Still, there are two oddities I need to fix. Since I changed the font family and font size used for the items in the menu bar, the drop-down menus are aligned incorrectly a few pixels lower than where they should be. Secondly, when I hover over a menu item that has a submenu, an arrow to the right is displayed but it's not as visible as it should be due to the light background color. Can I change this quickly without making a new arrow image?

    This is a follow up of this question: Remove accents from a JSON response. The accepted answer there works for a single item/string of a raw JSON content. But I would like to run a full transformation over the entire raw content of the JSON without parsing each object/array/item. What I've tried is this function removeAccents($jsoncontent) { $obj=json_decode($jsoncontent); // use decode to transform the unicode chars to utf $content=serialize($obj); // serialize into string, so the whole obj structure can be used string as a whole $a = 'ÀÁÂÃÄÅÆÇÈÉÊËÌÍÎÏÐÑÒÓÔÕÖØÙÚÛÜÝÞßàáâãäåæçèéêëìíîïðñòóôõöøùúûýýþÿRr'; $b = 'aaaaaaaceeeeiiiidnoooooouuuuybsaaaaaaaceeeeiiiidnoooooouuuyybyRr'; $content=utf8_decode($content); $jsoncontent = strtr($content, $a, $b); // at this point the accents are removed, and everything is good echo $jsoncontent; $obj=unserialize($jsoncontent); // this unserialization is returning false, probably because we messed up with the serialized string return json_encode($obj); } As you see after I decoded JSON content, I serialized the object to have a string of it, than I remove the accents from that string, but this way I have problem building back the object, as the unserialize stuff returns false. I have written a jQuery Popup window that I've packaged up as a WebControl and IScriptControl. The last step is to be able to write the markup within the tags of my control. I've used the InnerProperty attribute a few times, but only for including lists of strongly typed classes.     I am working on a CMS platform with limited access to the template files and want to try and control some of the layout with pseudo class but no luck yet. Can anyone see what is wrong with this structure and why my pseudo class is being ignored? <div id="main"> <div class="someRandomDiv"></div> <div class="block"> stuff </div> <div class="block"> more stuff </div> </div> and i am trying something like this #main .block {border: 1px solid blue} #main .block:first-child {border: 1px solid red} so with this example I would think the stuff block would have a red border and more stuff would have a blue but it is all just blue.
