    With one read() or write() at a time, can we increase the bulk data size over USB interface? For example, I want to transfer chunk of 1024 (1K) bytes data and if the device has limitations of only 64bytes, is there any way I can increase the packet size for read() and write() system call over USB? Is there any limitation on size of data transfer over USB in a host-device environment?

  • RDC and black screen mystery

    The following are all Windows 7 64 bit Business edition computers. I have a PC (lets call it "PC1") that I remotely access now and again using Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) on my laptop downstairs. Sometimes when I physically go back to sit at PC1, the screen is black and there is no way for me to wake it into life, no login screen or anything - the PC is still on and I am always forced to do a hard reboot. What can I do to stop this happening, it's really annoying.

    i just realized that the rpm version of php that i have installed on the server don't have sqlite support (well it have the PDO support but for some reason don't work) so i installed as a PECL extension, and now it show the support on the phpinfo() but still the open inviter script give me the error of: Call to undefined function sqlite_open() and i already restarted httpd also any hint where i can find a solution or guide?

    I have two 48 port gigabit netgear switches with 2 SFP ports each (i also have two Mini-GBIC copper transceiver modules) Is it best to set the ports up by using the built in ports (ie plug port 1 of switchB into port 48 of switchA and port1 of switchA into the router) or is there an advantage to using the mini-gbic?   • Has the hardware in my modem gone bad?

    I contacted CenturyLink about my modem recently and received useless and unrelated information. The problem seems to be that the modem will no longer save settings, the web interface is unusable except in internet explorer for some reason, and the modem keeps resetting. CenturyLink claimed it had to do with signal strength but I checked and it is currently between good and outstanding according to this. All of the lights remain green even when it starts acting up and I lose internet and shortly before it crashes and reboots. Does anyone have any idea what is going on or what I can do to fix it? (Asking CenturyLink again is obviously not going to help.) Update 1: Accessing the syslog from the web interface causes a crash.     How do you replace the Passenger Application failed to load error messages. They are lovely, but I'd rather not display them when we move our application to production. It'd be better to just show them on the dev box and maintenance page on the live site. For clarification, this is the call stack page passenger displays when your rails app fails to load. I'd rather not modify the passenger template files directly. Passenger doesn't seem to be respecting: ErrorDocument 500 /500.html

Is there a similar command to delete *.pyc files. As of now, I've only been able to accomplish this locally after using ssh with: find . -name "*.pyc" -exec rm -rf {} \; I'm looking for some kind of command to call remotely that would be equivalent.

It seems Java process do something and began to slowly eat all the resources of the server. I don't know exactly if this could be the root cause.
