• java 7 upgrade and hibernate annotation processor error

  I am getting the following warning, which seems to be triggering a subsequent warning and an error. I have been googling like mad, though have not found anything that makes it clear what it is I should do to resolve this. This issue occurs when I execute an Ant build. I am trying to migrate our project to Java 7. I have changed all the source='1.6' and target="1.6" to 1.7. I did find this related article: Forward compatible Java 6 annotation processor and SupportedSourceVersion It seems to indicate that I should build the Hibernate annotation processor jar myself, compiling it with with 1.7. It does not seem I should be required to do so. The latest version of the class in question (in hibernate-validator-annotation-processor-5.0.1.Final.jar) has been compiled with 1.6. Since the code in said class refers to SourceVersion.latestSupported(), and the 1.6 of that returns only RELEASE_6, there does not seem to be a generally available solution. • Mac - Flash file not loaded in independent flash player

  Hi, I am working on an independent application to play flash files on Mac. I have already done the same for Linux, and it works flawlessly but on mac for some reason flash is not drawing to my window. It is not throwing any kind of error too. I am using Flash player 10, that would mean that I am using the Core Graphics drawing model. I am able to send mouse events to flash and wrote a sample plugin to check if there was a problem in the context that I was sending, but my sample plugin draws properly to the window. I am getting a call for NPN_InvalidateRect twice and as a response I send an update Event back to flash. I drew a dummy rectangle to check that my context is correct. I have flipped the context to make the origin as top left corner. On doing right click on the debug version of the flash player it shows the following message: "Movie not loaded..." Can anyone give me any idea why is the content not being drawn? I would really appreciate the help, as I have been struggling with it for more than a month now. • How to add Silverlight 4 ContextMenu to DataGrid row or column?

  Silverlight 4 has a new ContextMenu control in the latest toolkit. I can't find ANY examples anywhere on how to reliably use this ContextMenu on a DataGrid. Theres a tonne of context menus out there but I want to use the new version from the toolkit. I'd like to be able to set context menus for rows and cells. Everything I've tries ends up being bound to the wrong item in the grid after scrolling.

• Problem using ‘useLegacyV2RuntimeActivationPolicy’ & supportedRuntime in an application

  Hello, I've modified a couple of different applications' .config file like this: <startup useLegacyV2RuntimeActivationPolicy="true"> <supportedRuntime version="v4.0"/> </startup> When I did this for devenv.exe.config (VS 2005 - don't ask :) ), things work great - most of the Visual Studio used .NET 2.0 but I was able to make use of an assembly targeting .NET 4.0 framework. I tried to do the same thing for a custom .exe, which happens to be based on MS CAB (slightly modified) and has a hybrid mix of WPF and WinForms content. As soon as I modified this application's app config file, I started getting this exception, sometime during application startup: The Undo operation encountered a context that is different from what was applied in the corresponding Set operation. The possible cause is that a context was Set on the thread and not reverted(undone). System.InvalidOperationException: The Undo operation encountered a context that is different from what was applied in the corresponding Set operation. There's a big long stack trace that doesn't show anything in my application code directly (just a bunch of MS assemblies). If I modify the application's .config file to this: <startup useLegacyV2RuntimeActivationPolicy="true"> </startup> i.e.I remove the supportedRuntime element, then the application doesn't throw this exception. But when I go to the point in my code where I try to load my .NET 4 assembly, if fails with this: System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly '' or one of its dependencies. This assembly is built by a runtime newer than the currently loaded runtime and cannot be loaded. I guess this is expected. I have two questions: 1) Any idea why I'm getting the System.InvalidOperationException exception when I modify this application's configuration file to include the supportedRuntime element, adding .NET 4 support and any suggestions on what I can do about it? 2) If the answer is "no idea why/don't know what you can do about it", then is possible for my .NET 3.5 SP1 code (C#) to provide more fine grain support for conditionally adding .NET 4 runtime support for a certain assembly(ies) without converting my entire application to target .NET 4, or without using the declarative config file approach? At some point I would convert the entire application to target .NET 4, but for the short term this is daunting task and I'm hope for some short term solution/hack.   I have migrated a VS2008 ASP.NET MVC solution to VS2010/MVC2/.NET 4.0 The solution builds locally and all unit tests pass. Our TFS server is still TFS2008 and I am having problems getting the CI build to pass. The projects all build successfully, the unit tests all run and pass but the Running Tests item fails. I followed this blog post on how to get the build working and I'm almost there. Combing the log file for failures I have found the following: Test Run Completed.   I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 new clean install , not a VM, that I have added to a Windows Server 2003 based domain using my account which has domain admin rights. The domain functional level is 2003. I performed a clean install of SQL Server 2008 R2 using my account which has domain admin rights. The installation completed without any errors. I logged into SSMS locally and attempted to add another domain account by clicking Search, Advanced and finding the user in the domain. When I return to the "Dialog - New" window and click OK I receive the following error: Create failed for Login 'Domain\User'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo) An exception occurred while executing a Transact-SQL statement or batch. (Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo) Windows NT user or group 'Domain\User' not found. Check the name again. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 15401) I have verified that the firewall is off, tried adding a different domain user, tried using SA to add a user, installed the hotfix for KB 976494 and verified that the Local Security Policy for Domain Member: Digitally encrypt or sign secure channel Domain Member: Digitally encrypt secure channel Domain Member: Digitally sign secure channel are disabled none of which have made a difference. I can RDP to a Server 2003 server running SQL 2008 and add the same domain user without issue. Also if I try to connect with SSMS to the sql server from another system on the domain using my account I get the following error: Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 18452) and on the database server I see the following in the security event log: An account failed to log on.   Hi, I'm new at this (java and opengl) so please bear with me if the answer to the question is simple. :) I'm trying to get a camera preview screen with the ability to display 3d objects simultaneously. Having gone through the samples at the api demos, I thought combining the code for the the examples at the api demo would suffice. But somehow its not working. The forces me to shut down upon startup and the error is mentioned as null pointer exception. Could someone share with me where did I go wrong and how to proceed from there.   I recently upgraded my Android app to support multiple resolutions. Previously, my Android.manifest file had a line: To support multiple density and resolution devices, I changed this to: <supports-screens android:smallScreens="false" android:normalScreens="true" android:largeScreens="true" android:anyDensity="true" /> <uses-sdk android:minSdkVersion="3" android:targetSdkVersion="4" /> I then added a couple of new directories, like drawable-hdpi-v4 and drawable-long-hdpi-v4 that includes the high-res versions of the graphics. That's about it. Ever since releasing this update, there have been a decent number of users complaining about various problems: - the app icon doesn't appear (I did not create a high res version of the icon) - the home screen widget no longer works, even if they delete and re-add it (this code did not change with the update).   I'm trying to figure out how to, using m2crypto, validate the chain of trust from a public key version of a X509 certificate back to one of a set of known root CA's when the chain may be arbitrarily long. The SSL.Context module looks promising except that I'm not doing this in the context of a SSL connection and I can't see how the information passed to load_verify_locations is used. Essentially, I'm looking for the interface that's equivalent to: openssl verify pub_key_x509_cert Is there something like that in m2crypto? Thanks.

  I have an app based on the CoreDataBooks example that uses an addingManagedObjectContext to add an Ingredient to a Cocktail in order to undo the entire add. The CocktailsDetailViewController in turn calls a BrandPickerViewController to (optionally) set a brand name for a given ingredient. Cocktail, Ingredient and Brand are all NSManagedObjects. Cocktail requires at least one Ingredient (baseLiquor) to be set, so I create it when the Cocktail is created. If I add the Cocktail in CocktailsAddViewController : CocktailsDetailViewController (merging into the Cocktail managed object context on save) without setting baseLiquor.brand, then it works to set the Brand from a picker (also stored in the Cocktails managed context) later from the CocktailsDetailViewController. However, if I try to set baseLiquor.brand in CocktailsAddViewController, I get: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: 'Illegal attempt to establish a relationship 'brand' between objects in different contexts' From this question I understand that the issue is that Brand is stored in the app's managedObjectContext and the newly added Ingredient and Cocktail are stored in addingManagedObjectContext, and that passing the ObjectID instead would avoid the crash. What I don't get is how to implement the picker generically so that all of the Ingredients (baseLiquor, mixer, garnish, etc.) can be set during the add, as well as one-by-one from the CocktailsDetailViewController after the Cocktail has been created.   I'm trying to use a reloadable spring resource bundle but spring cannot find the file. I've tried tons of different paths, but can't get it to work anywhere. In the code below you'll see that i load both the spring bundle and the regular one from the same path variable but only one works. I've been banging my head against this for far too long. • Get from Android BroadcastReciever to a UI

  I have a reciever that works well, but I can't seem to show a proper UI, although the toast appears correctly. As far as I can tell, this is caused by Android requiring the class to extend Activity, however, the class already extends BroadcastReciever, so I can't do this. So, I tried to do an Intent, but this failed too. There are no errors, but the screen doesn't show. Source code is below, and any help would be most appreciated.   Hi, I am adding dynamic number of buttons in a Blackberry application and trying to get different events on each button click. I am not able to apply the setchangelistener() for these array of buttons as once the loop finishes after adding all the buttons, the events gets generated only for the last indexed button. If I make us of getIndex(), it runs fine only if I am not adding any other fields on my screen, but if I add other fields along with these array of buttons, the getIndex() function count them in the indexing as well. Can anyone please help me out in setting FieldChangeListener to array of ButtonField? Here is a sample code of the way I am using the array of ButtonField. • ExpandableListView child items don't get focus when touched...

  Ok, so I wrote an ExpandableListView and subclassed BaseExpandableListAdapter... Everything works fine except I cannot get the child views to take focus when clicked. If I use the trackball everything works fine. But if I try to click on a child I get no feedback whatsoever. I have tried setting android:focusable, android:focusableInTouchMode, and android:clickable (and I have also tried setting this via code) but I can't get anything to work. Any ideas?
