• Git checking out problem [fatal: early EOFs]

  Dear all, I'm running a Ubuntu (9.10) server with Git (latest from Ubuntu package manager) installed. Access to the Git is via SSH. On windows machines, I'm using Cygwin to push/pull code. I can push my project code onto the server but when I do a clone or pull, it returns a [fatal: early EOFs] error at about 75-80%. Upon further investigation, it seems like textual data has no issue when pulled/cloned but when the jar files and images are pulled from Git, the error will occur. Any suggestion/advice that can help to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance.

  We are integrating a third party SOAP web services in our application. The WSDL is used with SOAPUI tool, where sample requests and responses worked fine. When we try to integrate with apache Axis 1.3, where we tried WSDL2JAVA with the WSDL. • MIDL2003 Error in VC6 project

  While bug fixing I tracked a problem to an old vc6 compiled dll that hasn't been touched in nearly 3 years. After checking out the most recent source I am getting the following error when trying to compile. Processing C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT SDK\INCLUDE\msxml.idl msxml.idl .\ocidl.idl(1524) : error MIDL2003 : redefinition : IErrorLog .\ocidl.idl(1541) : error MIDL2003 : redefinition : IPropertyBag Google gives lots of suggestions regarding Visual Studio 2002 - 2003 errors but I can't find anything that relates to Visual Studio 6 or can be applied to my problem. I did find this page but following it's advice didn't fix my problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? (I am presuming that it did work once.) Other items of interest: I have the February 2003 Platform SDK installed, and looking at the add/remove program page I have Micrsoft XML Parser and SDK, MSXML 4.0 SP2 and MSXML 6.0 Parser too.

  I have a chart for which the data is provided asynchronously via a CallResponder (used with a RemoteObject). However, it does not seem possible to update the chart with the data after it has been initially drawn. I have tried: Firing a collection modified event after assigning it to chart.dataProvider calling invalidateDisplayList (tried with all components) binding the chart data provider to a variable, and doing the above. changing the view state on the last line of resultHandler. None of them worked. When I fetch the data and cache it locally, then use it to call init synchronously, the chart displays correctly. What am I missing here?

  Hi, I am trying to parse a XML File using NSXMLParser, I also have a Container class, in which I have a few instance variables. One of the elements that I am trying to parse in the XML is: <book sn="32.859669048339128" pn="-116.917800670489670"> I am trying to save the value of sn and pn in an instance variable of object Container: NSNumber *sn, NSNumber *pn. I want it so that when my parser get the attributeValues it can save it as a Double (or float) in those NSNumber pointers. Right now, all it does it just saves a string to the NSNumber. The Parser Code looks like this: if([elementName isEqualToString:@"book"]){ container = [[Container alloc] init]; container.sn=[attributeDict objectForKey:@"sn"]; container.pn=[attributeDict objectForKey:@"pn"]; } I want it so that the type of container.sn is initialized to a float or double. • Git repository is out of sync after rebase

  I have squashed 2 commits (A and B) into one new commit (C). The previous two commits (A and B) where removed. I pushed these commits from my development repo to a central(bare) repository. The git-log on both repos confirms that commits A and B have been removed. The problem is when I do a pull on a third repository which already had (A and B) it now has all three commits (A, B and C). I would have thought the pull would synchronise these changes. Do I need to checkout A~1 and then merge in the new changes? This seems like a hassle, especially in a production environment.

  How would you go about constructing a step by step form that uses AJAX through Drupal to pull the next form step? For example, Step 1: I like Baseball I don't like Baseball. When that person clicks on either Like or Don't Like, I want to use AJAX to recognize and pull the next part of the form, remove/hide the first section since its not needed, and present the next section. Example: Step 1: I like Baseball *click (fade out) Step 2: My favorite team is __________ The player I like most is __________ What is the best way to do this through Drupal Form API? I know how to build the forms and modules, but I have never used AJAX yet. • How to debug jQuery ajax POST to .NET webservice

  Hey all. I have a web service that I have published locally. I wrote an HTML page to test the web service. The webservice is expecting a string that will be XML. When I debug the web service from within VS everything works great. I can use FireBug and see that my web service is indeed being hit by they AJAX call. After deploying the web service locally to IIS it does not appear to be working. I need to know the best way to trouble shoot this problem. The problem is this: In FF the 'Success' function is always called yet the result is always 'NULL'. And the web method does not appear to have worked (no data saved). In IE the 'Error' function is called and the response is server error: 500. I think (believe it or not) IE is giving me a more accurate indication that something is wrong but I cannnot determine what the issue is. Can someone please suggest how I should expose the specific server error message? Thanks for the help!

I can only send route values either as an object or as an RouteValueDictionary. So currently I send object ID and type and pull the object out of the datastore again in the action to which I redirected (like Results). // redirect to confirm view return RedirectToAction("ChangeSuccess", "Redirect", new { slug = tabgroup.Slug, contentType = tabgroup.ContentType }); But I would like to send an object there because I already have it in my updating controller action so I don't need to pull it out again. Is that possible somehow?

• Jquery hasClass conditional not working

  Hey, I have my site going here: http://www.treethink.com I am trying to make it so when a navigation item is clicked, it retracts the news ticker on the right and then doesn't run any of the extracting/timer functions anymore. I got it to retract but it still extracts. How I am doing it is I am adding a "noTicker" class with the nav buttons and removing it with colorbox's close button. The function runs on the page initially and if there isn't a "noTicker" class it runs the news ticker as planned. When a nav or close button is clicked it runs the function again which checks again to see if it has that class. So if it has the class it should retract (which it is so that must mean it's adding the class properly) and then not run any of the timer functions, but it still runs the timer functions for some reason. • XMLBeans - xsi:type stripped using Axis2 and Tomcat?

  I’m new to XMLBeans and have been trying to use it to create an XML document as part of an axis2 web service. When I run my code as a standard Java application or as a standard servlet, the XML is correctly generated: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <c:BroadsoftDocument protocol="OCI" xmlns:c="C"> <sessionId>000000001</sessionId> <command xsi:type="AuthenticationRequest" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"> <userId>admin</userId></command> </c:BroadsoftDocument> However, when the exact same code is run under Axis2 & Tomcat in a servlet I get: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <c:BroadsoftDocument protocol="OCI" xmlns:c="C"> <sessionId>000000001</sessionId> <command> <userId>admin</userId></command> </c:BroadsoftDocument> This of course isn’t valid – the xsi:type of the “command” element is stripped when the code is run under Tomcat. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I could be doing wrong that would cause this type of issue only when running under Axis2? At first I thought it was a Tomcat issue, but after creating a generic servlet and running the exact same code I don't have any issues. I've tried playing with the XMLOptions for XMLBeans, but couldn't seem to resolve the problem. • Adding a header view to a UIWebView similar to Safari and Articles

  I'd like to add a header view to an UIWebView similar to the address/search bar in MobileSafari and the excellent Articles.app by Sophia Teutschler. More precisely, I'd like to create a "pull to fix orientation" view above a UIWebView, just like in Articles. Articles does use a UIWebView, so it seems to be possible. Is there a way to accomplish this without having to embed the UIWebView into a UIScrollView and updating its size all the time, as described in this article? Apparently, I do need the scrolling events to have the "pull to fix orientation" behave accordingly.

• How to create a Uri instance parsed with GenericUriParserOptions.DontCompressPath

  When the .NET System.Uri class parses strings it performs some normalization on the input, such as lower-casing the scheme and hostname. It also trims trailing periods from each path segment. This latter feature is fatal to OpenID applications because some OpenIDs (like those issued from Yahoo) include base64 encoded path segments which may end with a period. How can I disable this period-trimming behavior of the Uri class? Registering my own scheme using UriParser.Register with a parser initialized with GenericUriParserOptions.DontCompressPath avoids the period trimming, and some other operations that are also undesirable for OpenID. But I cannot register a new parser for existing schemes like HTTP and HTTPS, which I must do for OpenIDs. That's a problem when you pass this Uri instance to the HttpWebRequest to send a request to this address. Apparently it checks the Scheme property and doesn't recognize it as 'https' because it just sends plaintext to the 443 port instead of SSL. I'm happy for any solution that: Preserves trailing periods in path segments in Uri.Path Includes these periods in outgoing HTTP requests. Ideally works with under ASP.NET medium trust (but not absolutely necessary).

  I tried to install the Yahoo BOSS mashup framework, but am having trouble running the examples provided. Examples 1, 2, 5, and 6 work, but 3 & 4 give Expat errors. • ExpressionEngine: {exp:query} producing error

  Hi. I have this code in place to pull some relation data from the database based on a ID of another weblog entry. The relationship custom field would not work for my situation. I have tested the SQL with MySQL and get no errors. But I get an error when I pull up the page. {exp:query sql="SELECT entry_id,field_id_16,field_id_19 FROM exp_weblog_data WHERE field_id_15='2' AND weblog_id='6'"} Also, I want to populate the “field_id_15” from the url. I have tried using the “segment_*” tag, but nothing. Maybe it is something else. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Josh
