  • Find actual Centos6 path for %{_includedir} in spec file?

    - by Dayo
I am trying to find out which path actually resolves to %{_includedir} in a Centos6 installation. I understand that this is normally "/usr/include" but where can I find where it is actually set or somehow "echo" it? Basically, a spec I am using has "%dir %{_includedir}/someFolder/someFile". Everything runs fine but I can't find "/usr/include/someFolder". I assume it has been created somewhere else and I am trying to find out where that is.

  • ruby on rails gitorious setup on ubuntu

    - by dogmatic69
Ive been trying to install gitorious for a while now which required ruby and rails etc. Ive finally got rails pages serving but cant finish the installation of gitorious because the gem version is too new. the error logs say please run 'rake ultrasphinx:configure' and that gives rake ultrasphinx:configure (in /var/www/apps/gitorious) rake aborted! uninitialized constant ActiveSupport::Dependencies::Mutex /var/www/apps/gitorious/Rakefile:10:in `require' (See full trace by running task with --trace) From searching google this is beacuse of the wrong gem verison. Cant find a way to down grade it. apparently sudo gem update --system 1.4.2 should do the trick but ubuntu 10.10 does not like this. ERROR: While executing gem ... (RuntimeError) gem update --system is disabled on Debian, because it will overwrite the content of the rubygems Debian package, and might break your Debian system in subtle ways. The Debian-supported way to update rubygems is through apt-get, using Debian official repositories. If you really know what you are doing, you can still update rubygems by setting the REALLY_GEM_UPDATE_SYSTEM environment variable, but please remember that this is completely unsupported by Debian. So i added export REALLY_GEM_UPDATE_SYSTEM=1 to .bashrc and reloaded it with . ~/.bashrc and still the same. ive tried various forms of setting this environmental variable with no luck. Ive also been told on #gitorious irc channel to add the file config/initializers/rubygems.rb with the line require "thread" to it. This has done nothing. EDIT: Just found another way which was rvm install rubygems 1.4.2 and it gave: Removing old Rubygems files... Installing rubygems dedicated to ruby-1.8.7-p334... - by Justin Love
After uninstalling Symantec Enpoint Protection (manually) one computer (Windows XP) has an inoperative NIC; it shows up in device manager as conflicted. • Redirect visitors to a "site in maintenance" page?

    - by serhio
My site is in maintenance(construction). How to redirect visitors to a "site in maintenance" single page? I heard something about app_offline.htm for ASP.NET. Is there something similar for PHP? I want that every page from "mysite.com" be redirected to "mysite.com/maintenance.php"; I don't want to do the minimum modification in the existing site pages, ideally no one. Apache version 2.2.15 PHP version 5.2.13

  • openvz graphing user_beancounters

    - by Jona
Hi there, We run a cluster of openvz servers and are looking for a way to automatically graph the content of user_beancounters for all ves. We currently have a fairly rudimentary cron which alerts us when limits are hit but we could like a graphing solution to show us history. Obviously we could roll our own using some fancy bash/php/perl and rrdtool but we're wondering if there are any existing solutions before we go down this path. We current run a cacti/snmp based graphing infrastructure.

  • What tool to use to check newly built PC before installing Windows?

    - by Borek
There is a similar question: http://superuser.com/questions/31786/what-tools-to-test-the-reliability-and-stability-of-a-newly-built-pc but I'm interested in some tool / bootable CD that would check the PC (CPU, RAM, GPU) before I install Windows. Reason: I'm just installing Win7 64b on a machine with Core i7 and SSD and it's suspiciously slow (after 15 minutes, it's just began expanding installation files) so I'm seeking tools that would help troubleshoot it.

  • how to update a symbolic link target (ln -f -s not working)

    - by solid
I'm using ln -f -s /var/www/html/releases/build1390 app-current to update symbolic link "app-current" with a new destination. However, this doesn't work, the link "app-current" keeps it original destination, however, I don't get any errors... I'd rather not remove the link and recreate it, just update the target of an existing link. Is that possible?

  • Simple, free Mac OS X paint program with transparency

    - by Margret
What FREE software (included with Mac OS X, or public domain) would be a good, simple way to take some existing PNG clipart files and do some simple editing? I really only need to do 3 things: Rotate the image. Clip the image. Set a "transparent" color. I don't need anything that takes weeks to learn or is super-powerful or super expensive.

    - by zengr
The question describes everything, how does allmyapps work? With a single click (like iPhone app store), you click on install and my system asks me "DO you want to install?" In contrast to regular installation, we 1st download the .exe or .deb and install it. So, how is it possible via web? I think, I am missing out on something very basic, but can some one please explain.

  • Need to run Domain Prep after adding new domain in Forest where OCS 2007R2 already deployed + active

    - by Cybersylum
Hello, We have just added a new domain in our forest. We have had OCS 2007 R2 (standard) up and running in our forest for some time. However those domains were already present when we did all of the prep work (schema, forest, & domain) We will not be adding a new OCS Server in the new domain (just pointing users to the existing box). Do I need to run the domain prep again for the new domain? Thanks.

  • jenkins 1.417 versus Active Directory

    - by bmargulies
I have a brand new installation of Jenkins 1.417 on Ubuntu 11.6, trying to talk to an active directory. I have the Active Directory plugin installed. If I leave off the base DN and password, the 'test' button claims success, while actual authentication fails. If I put in a user name and password on the domain, the test button fails (just as above). Is there some tweak required to the AD configuration to allow something like Jenkins to talk to it?
