• WPF Toolkit Datagrid - how do you turn selection off?

  I have a datagrid in WPF that I am binding to an object. I have a DataGridCheckBoxColumn on there which I want the users to be able to go through and tick the ones they want. Problem is they have to click twice, once for selection then again to check/uncheck. How on earth do you turn this off, I've been searching for way to long to find the answer to this. The datagrid has SelectionMode and SelectionUnit properties - neither of which accept 'none' or 'go away' Any help is appreciated! • Github file size limit changed 6/18/13. Can't push now

  How does this change as of June 18, 2013 affect my existing repository with a file that exceeds that limit? I last pushed 2 months ago with a large file. I have a large file that I have removed locally but I can not push anything now. I get a "remote error" ... remote: error: File cron_log.log is 126.91 MB; this exceeds GitHub's file size limit of 100 MB I added the file to .gitignore after original push... • Problem with DOMPDF and Kohana 3

  I have used DOMPDF many times before successfully, however outside of the Kohana Framework. I created a module for DOMPDF and called it simply pdf. I have not touched anything in dompdf_config.inc.php except uncomment out the error reporting levels so they now read error_reporting(E_STRICT | E_ALL); PHP is not reporting any errors. • VS2010 compiles solution without errors, msbuild fails: "fatal error CS0002: Unable to load message string from resources"

  I'm having a lot of trouble trying to track down the cause of this error message. I have a large Visual Studio 2010 solution which compiles without error on my local machine but on the build server, msbuild fails on one of the projects with the error: fatal error CS0002: Unable to load message string from resources Here's the red error section at the end: Build FAILED. "C:\TeamCity\buildAgent\work\85eff164854b9e67\Libraries\Domainface.Proxy.Common\Domainface.Proxy.Common.csproj" (default target) (9) -> (CoreCompile target) -> CSC : fatal error CS0002: Unable to load message string from resources. [C:\TeamCity\buildAgent\work\85eff164854b9e67\Libraries\Domainface.Proxy.Common\Domainface.Proxy.Common.csproj] 0 Warning(s) 1 Error(s) The entire msbuild output from the build server is here: http://pastie.org/3660842 What does the error generally refer to, that would cause it to build locally but not on the build server? UPDATE I have just run msbuild /version on both machines and it turns out the .net framework versions are very slightly different. Local machine is 4.0.30319.488 and build server is 4.0.30319.1. I'm about to run windows update on the server to allow it to install some updates, as several seem to be .net framework-related, so I'll see if that makes a difference. UPDATE Installing the updates didn't help. Just remembered I copied up csc.exe from the async preview a little while ago in order to facilitate async compilation (the actual async preview had failed to install on the server due to visual studio not being there, but installing visual studio team viewer seems to have fixed that, so i've just run the proper async ctp3 installer to see if that makes a difference.

• WinForms and ShowDialog problem.

  I have a borderless WinForms app. The main window creates other forms (simple dialogs where I can click yes or no) with ShowDialog(). Every created dialog is not visible in the taskbar, my app has only one taskbar entry that focuses my app (and if a dialog is open that one is focused). If I use ALT+TAB to cycle to all open windows I only see one entry, too. However, If the dialog is created while my app doesn't have the focus (for example the user starts a long running task, starts to work on something else and while being in the background, my app shows a dialog "Task done...") and I want to go back to my app, things are getting strange. If I click on the taskbar to focus my app, the main window is focused (not the dialog). I can't use the main window (because there is still an open modal dialog). Windows 7 ALT-TAB preview shows the Dialog while taskbar mouseover preview shows the main window (In normal behavior both show the dialog in front of the main window). The only way to make my app usable again is to ALT-TAB to the entry and close the modal dialog. If I use ALT-TAB only the dialog is brought to the front and the main window is still in the background Is there a way to prevent that from happening? I know what to do, but most customers think the app crashed since the main window doesn't respond.

  How do I go about the [HandleError] filter in asp.net MVC Preview 5? I set the customErrors in my web.config file <customErrors mode="On" defaultRedirect="Error.aspx"> <error statusCode="403" redirect="NoAccess.htm"/> <error statusCode="404" redirect="FileNotFound.htm"/> </customErrors> and put [HandleError] above my Controller Class like this: [HandleError] public class DSWebsiteController: Controller{ [snip] public ActionResult CrashTest() { throw new Exception("Oh Noes!"); } } Then I let my controllers inherit from this class and call CrashTest() on them. Visual studio halts at the error and after pressing f5 to continue, I get rerouted to Error.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/sxi.mvc/CrashTest (where sxi is the name of the used controller. Off course the path cannot be found and I get "Server Error in '/' Application." 404. This site was ported from preview 3 to 5. Everything runs (wasn't that much work to port) except the error handling. When I create a complete new project the error handling seems to work. Ideas? --Note-- Since this question has over 3K views now, I thought it would be beneficial to put in what I'm currently (asp.net mvc 1.0) using. In the mvc contrib project there is a brilliant attribute called "RescueAttribute" You should probably check it out too ;)

• DirectShow Filter I wrote dies after 10-24 seconds in Skype video call

  I've written a DirectShow push filter for use with Skype using Delphi Pro 6 and the DSPACK DirectShow library. In preview mode, when you test a video input device in the Skype client Video Settings window, my filter works flawlessly. I can leave it up and running for many minutes without an error. However when I start a video call after 10 to 24 seconds, never longer, the video feed freezes. The call continues fine with the call duration counter clicking away the seconds, but the video feed is dead, stuck on whatever frame the freeze happened (although after a long while it turns black which I believe means Skype has given up on the filter). I tried attaching to the process from my debugger with a breakpoint literally set on every method call and none of them are hit once the freeze takes place. It's as if the thread that makes the DirectShow FillBuffer() call to my filter on behalf of Skype is dead or has been shutdown. I can't trace my filter in the debugger because during a Skype call I get weird int 1 and int 3 debugger hard interrupt calls when a Skype video call is in progress. This behavior happens even with my standard web cam input device selected and my DirectShow filter completely unregistered as a ActiveX server. I suspect it might be some "anti-debugging" code since it doesn't happen in video input preview mode. Either way, that is why I had to attach to the process after the fact to see if my FillBuffer() called was still being called and instead discovered that appears to be dead. Note, my plain vanilla USB web cam's DirectShow filter does not exhibit the freezing behavior and works fine for many minutes. There's something about my filter that Skype doesn't like. I've tried Sleep() statements of varying intervals, no Sleep statements, doing virtually nothing in the FillBuffer() call. Nothing helps. If anyone has any ideas on what might be the culprit here, I'd like to know. Thanks, Robert

• why is the <img> alt attribute not always properly displayed

  So I have this php script that output an html table with data about some files (like filename, filesize, etc...) I have this javascript function that displays the picture when you hover a tag belonging to the class "preview". For example, if a filename is: somePic.jpg, when you hover somePic.jpg in the table, the picture will appear next to your mouse. Now not all these files are pictures, some are .mp3, so of course when you hover them, the javascript cannot display the picture. To deal with this case, I added in the tag (generated by the javascript function), an alt attribute: alt='Preview not available for this type of content.' And here is my problem, sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn't! Sometimes you start hovering .mp3 links, and the alt attribute is displayed, then you hover a picture, the picture is displayed, then you hover an .mp3 again, and the alt isn't displayed anymore, but the "broken image" image (the little red cross) is displayed instead... Sure I could parse the filenames and detect when it's an mp3 and then deal with the case, but I thought the alt attribute was suppose to achieve this... but it's buggy... Any idea? Does anyone already faced this problem?

• Can't create new xib files in Xcode projects

  This one is a doozy... My buddy just downloaded the iPhone SDK on his Snow Leopard MacBook Pro. No matter what kind of project he creates (Window Based, View Based, etc...,) he can't create or use his own xib files. The project will compile and run fine until he adds a new xib file. Here are some symptoms: When he selects a pre-generated xib in Xcode (such as MainWindow.xib), no preview is shown on the right hand side. Double clicking on this file will open it in interface builder (This is correct behavior). When he selects his own custom xib, the preview pane displays the XML content of the xib. Double clicking on his custom xib opens up the XML file in Xcode - as if it were a standard code file (This is jacked up). Opening his custom xib from finder opens it in Interface Builder. When building the application, the build warning says something to the effect of "Warning: No rule to process file /path/to/CustomXib of type sourcecode.xib for architecture i386" At runtime he gets the error: Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '-[UIViewController _loadViewFromNibNamed:bundle:] was unable to load a nib named "MyCustomXib"' We've uninstalled Xcode from the command line and reinstalled. I've verified that it's the right version for his machine. I'm stumped!

• AMQP gem specifying a dead letter exchange

  I've specified a queue on the RabbitMQ server called MyQueue. It is durable and has x-dead-letter-exchange set to MyQueue.DLX. Any ideas?

• Asp.net web forms, Asp Identity - how to store claims from Facebook, Twitter, etc

  This request is based upon the new Visual Studio 2013 integration of Asp.net Identity stuff. I have seen some of the posts regarding this question for MVC, but for the life of me cannot get it to work for standard Web Forms. What I'm trying to do is populate the AspNetUserClaims table from the claims that I get back from Facebook (or other service). I actually can see the values coming back in the OnAuthenticated below, but cannot for the life of me figure out how to add these claims to the context of the currently logged in user? There are literally hundreds of MVC examples surrounding this, but alas no Web Forms examples. This should be completely straightforward, but for some reason I cannot match up the context of the currently logged in user to the claims and credentials coming back from Facebook. Currently after the OnAuthenticated fires, it obviously returns me to the page (RegisterExternalLogin.aspx) as the built-in example provides. However, the claims are gone, the context of the login to Facebook is gone, and I can't do anything else at this point. • How do I print an HTML document from a web service?

  I want to print HTML from a C# web service. The Web Browser control is overkill, and does not function well in a service-environment, nor does it function well on a system with very tight security constraints. Is there any sort of free .NET library that will support the printing of a basic HTML page?   I'm calling in a RSS feed to my website using PHP. Currently my code below is calling in the entire contents for pubDate: <pubDate>Thu, 12 Sep 2013 07:23:59 +0000</pubDate> How do I just display the day and month from the above example i.e. 12 Sep? EDIT I should clarify, the above line of code is an example output I currently get but as I'm calling the latest 3 posts from an RSS feed, this date and time will vary. I therefore need the code to be more dynamic (if that's the right term!) • latin1/unicode conversion problem with ajax request and special characters

  Server is PHP5 and HTML charset is latin1 (iso-8859-1). With regular form POST requests, there's no problem with "special" characters like the em dash (–) for example. Although I don't know for sure, it works. Probably because there exists a representable character for the browser at char code 150 (which is what I see in PHP on the server for a literal em dash with ord). Now our application also provides some kind of preview mechanism via ajax: the text is sent to the server and a complete HTML for a preview is sent back. However, the ordinary char code 150 em dash character when sent via ajax (tested with GET and POST) mutates into something more: %E2%80%93. I see this already in the apache log. According to various sources I found, e.g. http://www.tachyonsoft.com/uc0020.htm , this is the UTF8 byte representation of em dash and my current knowledge is that JavaScript handles everything in Unicode. However within my app, I need everything in latin1. Simply said: just like a regular POST request would have given me that em dash as char code 150, I would need that for the translated UTF8 representation too. That's were I'm failing, because with PHP on the server when I try to decode it with either utf8_decode(...) or iconv('UTF-8', 'iso-8859-1', ...) but in both cases I get a regular ? representing this character (and iconv also throws me a notice: Detected an illegal character in input string ). My goal is to find an automated solution, but maybe I'm trying to be überclever in this case? I've found other people simply doing manual replacing with a predefined input/output set; but that would always give me the feeling I could loose characters. The observant reader will note that I'm behind on understanding the full impact/complexity with things about Unicode and conversion of chars and I definitely prefer to understand the thing as a whole then a simply manual mapping. thanks

  I'm using the Net-SNMP bindings for python and I'm attempting to grab an ARP cache from a Brocade switch.   I'm hesitant to ask because I'm sure it's out there, but I just can't seem to come up with the keywords to find the answer. I'm stepping outside my boundaries by starting with subqueries (normally an Access user). In the past I would cheat and have a separate query that first gave me the TECH_ID and max SEQ_NUM, and then have a second query that use the original table and the first query in a join to get the rest. How can I do this in one query? Example: TECH_ID SEQ_NUM PELL 1 1 4000 1 2 4000 1 3 5000 Using just the max of the sequence number still returns: 1; 2; 4000 and 1; 3; 5000 when I'm only wanting the latter.

• image appears larger than bounding rectangle?

  Hello I'm implementing a custom print preview control. One of the objects it needs to display is an image which can be several pages high and wide. I've successfully divided the image into pages and displayed them in the correct order. Each "page" is drawn within the marginbounds. (That is, each page is sized to be the same as the marginBounds.) The problem I have is that the image the page represents exceeds the bottom margin. However if I draw a rectangle with the same dimensions as the image, at the same position as the image, the rectangle matches the marginbounds. Thus when drawn to the page (in print preview and printed page) the image is larger than a rectangle drawn based on the image dimensions. I.e. The image is drawn at the same size as e.MarignBounds and is drawn at e.MarginBounds.Location yet exceeds the bottom margin. How is this? • Grabbing rows from MySql where current date is in between start date and end date (Check if current date lies between start date and end date)

  I'm trying to select from the database to get the "campaigns" that dates fall into the month. So far i've been successful in grabbing rows that starts or ends inside the current month. What I need to do now is select rows that start in one month and ends a few months down the line ( EG: It's the 3rd month in the year, and there's a "campaign" that runs from the 1st month until the 5th. other example There is a "campaign" that runs from 2012 until 2013 ) I'm hoping there is some way to select via MySql all rows in which a capaign may run. If not should I grab all data in the database and only show the ones that run via the current month. I have already made a function that displays all the days inbetween each date inside an array, which is called "dateRange". I've also created another which shows how many days the campaign runs for called "runTime". • Can I add a portrait layout on top of a landscape Camera SurfaceView?

  My application should hold a camera preview surface. Now I need to have an overlay that holds a bunch of buttons. Due to usability, the user interface should be set to portrait view (or even better orientation aware). Is there a way to have a transparent layout (for buttons and other GUI elements) in portrait orientation?   From October 1st to March 31 the fee is $1 (season 1). From April 1st to September 30 the fee is $2 (season 2). How can I calculate the total fee of a given date range (user input) depending on how many days of this date range fall into season 1 and season 2? There must be a better solution than iterating if/else and comparing dates over and over again for the following conditions: Date range is completely within season 1 Date range starts in season 1 and ends in season 2 Date range starts in season 1, spans across season 2 and ends in the second part of season 1 ... and so forth with "Starts in season 2", etc
