  • Parsing pipe delimited string into columns?

    Hello, I have a column with pipe separated values such as: '23|12.1| 450|30|9|78|82.5|92.1|120|185|52|11' I want to parse this column to fill a table with 12 corresponding columns: month1, month2, month3...month12. So month1 will have the value 23, month2 the value 12.1 etc... Is there a way to parse it by a loop or delimeter instead of having to separate one value at a time using substr? Thanks.

According to the documentation: When an object’s remote proxy is deallocated, a message is sent back to the receiver to notify it that the local object is no longer shared over the connection. I would therefore expect that as each DOTarget goes out of scope (each time around the loop) it's remote counterpart would be dellocated, since there is no other reference to it being held on the remote side of the connection. In reality this does not happen: the temporary objects are only deallocate when the client application quits, or more accurately, when the connection is invalidated. I can force the temporary objects on the remote side to be deallocated by explicitly invalidating the NSConnection object I'm using each time around the loop and creating a new one but somehow this just feels wrong. Is this the correct behaviour from DO? Should all temporary objects live as long as the connection that created them? Are connections therefore to be treated as temporary objects which should be opened and closed with each series of requests against the server? Any insights would be appreciated.

    I have a result set that will never exceed 500; the results that come back from the web-service are assigned to a search results object. The data from the webservice is about 2mb; the bit I want to use is about a third of each record, so this allows me to cache and quickly manipulate it. I want to be able to sort and filter the results with the least amount of overhead and as fast as possible so I used the VCSKICKS timing class to measure their performance Average Total (10,000) Type Create Sort Create Sort HashSet 0.1579 0.0003 1579 3 IList 0.0633 0.0002 633 2 IQueryable 0.0072 0.0432 72 432 Measured in Seconds using http://www.vcskicks.com/algorithm-performance.php I created the hashset through a for loop over the web-service response (adding to the hashset). The List & IQueryable were created using LINQ. Question I can understand why HashSet takes longer to create (the foreach loop vs linq); but why would IQueryable take longer to sort than the other two; and finally is there a better way to assign the HashSet.   • Snake game, can't add new rectangles?

    I had seen some problem on other forum, and i tried to solve them but unsuccesfully, now is too intersting for me and i just need to solve this for my ego... lol Main problem is when snake eat first food, snake added one rectangle, when snake eat second food nothings changed? When snake head position and food position are same, then i try to add another rectangle, i have list where i stored rectangles coordinates x and y. What do you think, how i can to solve this problem?     What I'm trying to do is to update my database after a period of time. So I'm using java scheduler and connection pooling. I don't know why but my code only working once.   • How can I display the clicked products by user on a list in another view?

    I am using MVC3 Viewmodel pattern with Entity Framework on my webbapplication. My Index View is list of products with image, price and description and etc. Products with the information I mentioned above is in div boxes with a button that says "buy". I will be working with 2 views one that is the Index View that will display all the products and the other view that will display the products that got clicked by the buy button. What I am trying to achieve is when a user click on buy button the products should get stored in the other view that is cart view and be displayed. I have problems on how to begin the coding for that part. The index View with products is done and now its the buy button function left to do but I have no idea how to start. But I still I have no idea how I can do that so when somebody click on the buy button I store the ID where? and how do I use it so I can achieve what I want to do? So when someone press on the temp "x" Actionlink I will recieve the product. All I know is that something like that is needed to achieve what im trying to do but after that I have no idea what to do and in what kind of structure I should do it. Any kind of help is appreciated alot! Short Scenario: looking at the Index I see 5 products, I choose to buy 3 products so I click on three "Buy" buttons. Now I click on the "Cart" that is located on the nav menu. New View pops up and I see the three products that I clicked to buy.

    I'm trying to play music through Ventrilo and currently I use Virtual Audio Cable. The way it works is that in foobar2000 (a music playing program) I set the output device in preferences to Virtual Audio Cable. Then in Ventrilo I log in to another name and set the input device to Virtual Audio Cable. This routes the music through the Virtual Audio Cable and allows me to play the music through Ventrilo. However, I would also like to change the output device for Firefox (or any other browser) or "Plugin Container for Firefix" to Virtual Audio Cable so that I could play music from Pandora or YouTube on to Ventrilo. Unfortunately I could not find an option for this anywhere.

    I have a web service that uses a self-signed certificate, so I need to install the certificate as a Trusted Root so that I can avoid all the security errors that having a self-signed certificate brings with it. Using Windows 7, I'm going to: Start > Internet Explorer > Run as Administrator > Tools > Internet Options > Content > Certificates > Trusted Root Certification Authorities > Import > (select file) > Next > OK, and Windows reports Import Successful However, the import is NOT successful. The certificate does not show in the list of trusted roots, and certificate errors still show up. If I import the certificate into the Trusted Publishers container, it imports correctly, but this does not solve my security errors. Any ideas?

    JI have written a .NET C# Windows Form app in Visual Studio 2008 that uses a Semaphore to run multiple jobs as threads when the Start button is pressed. It’s experiencing an issue where the Form goes into a comma after being run for 40 minutes or more. The log files indicate that the current jobs complete, it picks a new job from the list, and there it hangs. I have noticed that the Windows Form becomes unresponsive when this happens. The form is running in its own thread.   • Terminology: opposite of "zero copy"?

    We're benchmarking some code that we've converted to use sendfile(), the linux zero-copy system call. What's the term for the traditional read()/write() loop that sendfile() replaces? I.e., in our report I want to say "zerocopy is X millisecs, and ??? is Y millisecs." What word/phrase should I use?

  • msys+mingw - is there installer or at least .tar.lzma/.zip?

    I try to install n'th time the msys+mingw - however with little success. I need the minimal developer system (standard tools such as sed/awk+autotools+gcc) however each time something is not working (for example currently when I try to run autotools m4 goes into some error loop on AC_INIT). I know they stopped providing installer 'for easy update of components' and they are working on something but maybe there is something unofficial.

  • Use component id in Castle Windsor generic object configuration

    2 questions in one, but very much related. Is it possible with Castle Windsor to resolve a configuration entry such as - Assembly.Namespace.Object1`2[[${ComponentId1}],[${ComponentId2}]], Assembly Where ComponentId1 and ComponentId2 are defined as components. Castle Windsor doesn't seem to be resolving the ComponentId, it is just looking for ComponentId1 in the Castle.Windsor assembly. The second question comes in to play if you can't do the first question. Wrapper1 is waiting for the following dependencies: Services: - CastleWindsorPlay.Collector1 which was not registered. - CastleWindsorPlay.Processor3 which was not registered. The curious part about this is that I can get it to resolve Collector1 and Processor3 individually before the call to the wrapper, but the wrapper still can't see them. This is a basic example, the next thing I'd like to be able to do is when instantiating the Wrapper, set a property on the collector and/or processor. So it could be something like Collector.Id = 10, but set in the config where the wrapper is defined. Setting against the Collector component definition wouldn't work as I'd want to be able to instantiate multiple copies of each Collector, using different Id's Update 2 What I'm actually trying to do is have - <components> <component id="Wrapper1" type="CastleWindsorPlay.Wrapper`2[${Collector1}(id=1)],[${Processor3}]], CastleWindsorPlay" /> <component id="Wrapper2" type="CastleWindsorPlay.Wrapper`2[${Collector1}(id=3)],[${Processor3}]], CastleWindsorPlay" /> </components> Then have another object defined as <component id="Manager" type="CastleWindsorPlay.Manager,CastleWindsorPlay"> <parameters> <wrappers> <array> <item>${Wrapper1}</item> <item>${Wrapper2}</item> </array> </wrappers> </parameters> Then finally in code just be able to call - var manager = (Manager)container.Resolve("Manager"); This should return the manager object, with an array of wrappers populated and the wrappers configured with the correct Collector and Convertor. I know there are errors in the Castle config here, that's why I'm asking the question, I don't know how to set the config up to do what I'm after, or even if it's possible to do it in Castle Windsor

  • Firewall GPO not applying despite being enumerated by gpresult

    I have a need to open up the admin$ share on all of my domain's client PC's and I am trying to do so using group policy. I defined computer policy for Windows Firewall with Advanced Security in a policy object linked to the appropriate container and added the appropriate rules. However, they are not being applied! I feel like I have tried all of the obvious steps: I've checked gpresult and the resulting set of policy is the way that I would expect it to look. I've gpupdate /force and gpupdate /sync on a few client computers, but no matter what I do they don't seem to respond to my changes. I know that other computer policies in the GPO are being applied so it is strange that these are not. I have also disabled exceptions on clients in the firewall GPO, but that doesn't seem to be applying either. Here is a screenshot of the firewall.cpl from a client: Basically, although other options in the same GPO ARE applied for computer policy, the firewall settings seem to be ignored.
