• AS3: How to dispatch from the document class?

  I have a pretty good handle on dispatching from classes other than the Document Class, but what happens when I want to dispatch an event from the Document class and have other classes listen to the document class broadcast? It seems like there are several ways to approach this (i.e using a Singleton, using composition, using MovieClip(root)) I was just wondering what people find is the "best practice" way to do this?

• MacPorts / Terminal: `Unrecognized action "sudo"`

  I'm trying to install Image Magick on MAMP. And I'm seriously out of my depth. I've installed MacPorts, and opened the terminal. I've typed in sudo port -v selfupdate per the instructions on http://www.macports.org/install.php#pkg But the response I get from the Terminal is Unrecognized action "sudo" I've googled and googled, but can't find anything that makes a slab of sense. Any clever people feeling generous?

• Subversion Proxy for working offline?

  What is the best approach for working at a customers site (with several people) where there maybe not internet access the whole time and using a subversion repository? (Migrating to Git or Mecurial is out of the question at the moment) But wouldn't it be possible to leverage something like, for instance the Git SVN Integration, to create a proxy which acts like a subversion repository for the clients and may be used at the end to synchronize the changes back to subversion? • Do I need to create icons other than RGBA for my Windows app?

  I'm curious if anyone still creates icons other than RGB/A (or 32-bit with alpha-channel) for your Windows apps? PS. I know that suggested model is to create 256-color versions of icons, but I always struggle with those. If I automatically convert them in an icon editor they totally decimate the look of my original icons with jagged edges and circa-Windows95 look. So if those are still required, does anyone know the stats on how many people are still using color settings other then 32-bit TrueColor?

  I cloned Cocos2d-x repo from github, everything works fine but I can't find how to install the Cocos2d templates into XCode. I saw that people were used to use this file, located at the root of the repo: ./install-templates-xcode.sh -f -u but it looks like this script file has been removed, any help appreciated. edit: Still no answer to this problem, even the slightest clues could help me. Are there still templates for XCode? Couldn't get answers from #cocos2d-x irc
