  • Where to place web.xml outside WAR file for secure redirect?

    - by Silverhalide
    I am running Tomcat 7 and am deploying a bunch of applications delivered to me by a third party as WAR files. I'd like to force some of those apps to always use SSL. (All the "SSL" apps are in one service; other apps outside this discussion are in another service.) I've figured out how to use conf\web.xml to redirect apps from HTTP to HTTPS, but that applies to all applications hosted by Tomcat. I've also figured out how to put web.xml in an unpacked app's web-inf directory; that does the trick for that specific app, but runs the risk of being overwritten if our vendor gives us a new war file to deploy. I've also tried placing the web.xml file in various places under conf\service\host, or under appbase, but none seem to work. Is it possible to redirect some apps to SSL without forcing all apps to redirect, or to put the web.xml file inside the extracted WAR file? Here's my server.xml: <Service name="secure"> <Connector port="80" connectionTimeout="20000" redirectPort="443" URIEncoding="UTF-8" enableLookups="false" compression="on" protocol="org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11Protocol" compressableMimeType="text/html,text/xml,text/plain,text/javascript,application/json,text/css"/> <Connector port="443" URIEncoding="UTF-8" enableLookups="false" compression="on" protocol="org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11Protocol" compressableMimeType="text/html,text/xml,text/plain,text/javascript,application/json,text/css" scheme="https" secure="true" SSLEnabled="true" sslProtocol="TLS" keystoreFile="..." keystorePass="..." keystoreType="PKCS12" truststoreFile="..." truststorePass="..." truststoreType="JKS" clientAuth="false" ciphers="SSL_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_MD5,SSL_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA,TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_DHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,SSL_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA"/> <Engine name="secure" defaultHost="localhost"> <Realm className="org.apache.catalina.realm.UserDatabaseRealm" resourceName="UserDatabase"/> <Host name="localhost" appBase="webapps" unpackWARs="false" autoDeploy="true" xmlValidation="false" xmlNamespaceAware="false"> </Host> </Engine> </Service> <Service name="mutual-secure"> ... </Service> The content of the web.xml files I'm playing with is: <web-app xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_3_0.xsd" version="3.0" metadata-complete="true"> <security-constraint> <web-resource-collection> <web-resource-name>All applications</web-resource-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </web-resource-collection> <user-data-constraint> <description>Redirect all requests to HTTPS</description> <transport-guarantee>CONFIDENTIAL</transport-guarantee> </user-data-constraint> </security-constraint> </web-app> (For conf\web.xml the security-constraint is added just before the end of the existing file, rather than create a new file.) My webapps directory (currently) contains only the WAR files.

  • 403 error after adding javascript to masterpage for sharepoint.

    - by Jeremy
    I am attempting to add highslide-with-html.js from http://highslide.com/ to my masterpage. I am receiving a 403 forbidden error when I use the provided masterpage. I have placed it in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\1033. Test javascript files such as pirate.js which consists solely of alert("Arr!"); have loaded from the same directory. I have provided the code for the masterpage. When I do not reference the problem javascript file there is no 403 error. <%@ Master language="C#" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> <%@ Import Namespace="Microsoft.SharePoint" %> <%@ Register Tagprefix="SPSWC" Namespace="Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal.WebControls" Assembly="Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" %> <%@ Register Tagprefix="SharePoint" Namespace="Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls" Assembly="Microsoft.SharePoint, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" %> <%@ Register Tagprefix="WebPartPages" Namespace="Microsoft.SharePoint.WebPartPages" Assembly="Microsoft.SharePoint, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" %> <%@ Register Tagprefix="PublishingWebControls" Namespace="Microsoft.SharePoint.Publishing.WebControls" Assembly="Microsoft.SharePoint.Publishing, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" %> <%@ Register Tagprefix="PublishingNavigation" Namespace="Microsoft.SharePoint.Publishing.Navigation" Assembly="Microsoft.SharePoint.Publishing, Version=12.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c" %> <%@ Register TagPrefix="wssuc" TagName="Welcome" src="~/_controltemplates/Welcome.ascx" %> <%@ Register TagPrefix="wssuc" TagName="DesignModeConsole" src="~/_controltemplates/DesignModeConsole.ascx" %> <%@ Register TagPrefix="PublishingVariations" TagName="VariationsLabelMenu" src="~/_controltemplates/VariationsLabelMenu.ascx" %> <%@ Register Tagprefix="PublishingConsole" TagName="Console" src="~/_controltemplates/PublishingConsole.ascx" %> <%@ Register TagPrefix="PublishingSiteAction" TagName="SiteActionMenu" src="~/_controltemplates/PublishingActionMenu.ascx" %> <html dir="<%$Resources:wss, multipages_direction_dir_value %>" runat="server" __expr-val-dir="ltr"> <head runat="server"> <meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft SharePoint"> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;   • access an IP restricted service from a dynamic IP (Broadband modem) on a windows machine

    - by Joel Alenchery
    Hi, I dont know if this is the correct place to ask this question but here goes .. (please note that I am pretty much a newbie in terms of networking and I work primarily on the windows platform) I have been working on accessing and consuming some web services in C#/ASP.Net, these web services that I consume are IP restricted. Currently they allow access only from my work network (we have a static ip set up through which all our internet requests are routed). Every now and then we have people who go out and about and are stuck with using a usb dongle based internet connection and hence are not able to now access these web services that they are working on. What I would like to do is to provide some way for these remote workers to access the IP restricted web services using the static ip at our office. For example when the remote worker tries to access a service say http://exampleService.com .. the request gets routed to some box at our office and then out to the actual service. That way the service always sees the static ip of the office and not the dynamic ip that the remote user is actually using. I have done a fair bit of googling and its difficult to search for it as most of the results come back for dynamic DNS which is not really what I am looking for. I have also looked at a couple of posts on here namely Accessing IP restricted server from dynamic IP which does provide some insight but the fellow seems to have access to the source that does the ip restriction and is able to change the restrictions. In my case i dont have that access. another one that looked interesting was Static IP for dynamic IP the first answer seems exactly what I need but I dont know how I would go about doing the same on a windows machine. any help would be really appreciated. (am sorry about being soo noob-ish) PS: Right now everyone is using RDC/LogMeIn to access an internet connected machine in the office to manually check the webservice and getting work done. Which is a very tedious process.

  • Openldap, groups, admin groups, etc

    - by Juan Diego
    We have a samba server as PDC with OpenLDAP. So far everything is working, even windows 7 can log on to the Domain. Here is the tricky part. We have many departments, each department has it's own IT guys, and these IT guy should be able to create users in their department and change any info of the users in their department. My Idea was to create 2 groups for each department, For example: Department1 and Admins Department1. Admins Deparment1 has "write" priviledges for members of group Department dn: ou=People,dc=mydomain,dc=com,dc=ec objectClass: top objectClass: organizationalUnit ou: People dn: cn=Admins,ou=Group,dc=mydomain,dc=com,dc=ec objectClass: groupOfNames objectClass: top cn: Admins dn: cn=Admins Department1,cn=Admins,ou=Group,dc=mydomain,dc=com,dc=ec objectClass: groupOfNames objectClass: top cn: Admins Department1 member: uid=jdc,ou=People,dc=mydomain,dc=com,dc=ec structuralObjectClass: groupOfNames I dont know if you should make Department1 as part of Domain Users dn: cn=Deparment1,cn=Domain Users,ou=Group,dc=mydomain,dc=com,dc=ec objectClass: groupOfNames objectClass: top cn: Deparment1 member: uid=user1,ou=People,dc=mydomain,dc=com,dc=ec Or just create the deparments like this. dn: cn=Deparment1,ou=Group,dc=mydomain,dc=com,dc=ec objectClass: groupOfNames objectClass: top cn: Deparment1 member: uid=user1,ou=People,dc=mydomain,dc=com,dc=ec I seems that when you use smbldap tools bydefault the users are part of Domain Users even if you dont have them as part of Domain Users in the memberUid attribute, when I use finger they showup as part of the Domain Users group. I dont want the Departments Admins to be Domain Admins because they have power over all the users, unless I am mistaken. I also have trouble with the ACLs. I was trying to create an acl for members of this Admins group, I was trying with this search, but didnt work ldapsearch -x "(&(objectClass=organizationalPerson)(member=cn=Admins Department1,ou=Group,dc=mydomain,dc=com,dc=ec))" I am open to suggestions.

  • APACHE - PHP - Bounce emails

    - by user1179459
    I want to improve our mail server lists by handling all the bounces we get in our websites. I have a website which has over 8000+ users and another website which as over 1500+ users, they are emailed various notifications every second, ie. job alerts, email alerts, I am using POP connections with EXIM on APACHE server, most scripts are based on PHP language generates email on the fly. Problems i have But some users has registered long time ago and now quite few has bounce email address Some users register with dummy emails like [email protected] which never existed but a valid email address, any chance of stopping this without asking them login to the email account and clicking links which dont work most times.. (too annoying to the end user) Server is sending unnecessary emails can be avoided if i know they dont exists ? Solutions i need to have Is there a way i can download the bounce email list somewhere (WHM/Cpanel), i know exim mail has it but its not readable (i need a file like CSV or something similar to scan them over and write a php script to delete the users from the database ?) I need to know if there is any function in the PHP that can check the existence of the email address on the fly ? so that i can set the email send function in the mailer class to check before it sends out. On the server will bouncing emails are going to eatup lots of server resources ? like memory/cpu on processing them ? or are they are minimal where we dont have to worry about this at all ? May be a opensoruce or linux software to capture them and view them in a report basis and cleaning them up ? I am not a linux expert or server admin but i do lot of PHP coding, so please be descriptive of the solutions specially if they are linux commands Thank you!

  • Server 2003 PDC DNS not working..Failover server is...

    - by Seth
    In the midst of trying to utilize proc power, i create a fault tolerant DNS server a while ago. Since, Ive been trying to add another controller for exchange. So I thought I would revert back to a single primary DNS for the meantime and now Im balancing on a thread. The server i thought I uninstalled DNS, is still acting as DNS. And now the PDC does not resolve. Can anybody walk me through, Im overwhelmed and cant think straight... Im afraid if anyone restarts their machine they wont have internet. Update Ok so from the beginning. I was configuring Exchange on a new server 2008. How it happened I dont know, but it started to not resolve DNS. (exclamation mark on NIC) even though everything was static. So ultimately I decided to remove the server from the problem, because I noticed DNS was in disarray if I used the DNS IP of the first server. This is when I tested with nslookup on each DNS server. I had uninstalled DNS from the second server, but nslookup was still resolving with that IPaddress, which has me all wound up cause I dont understand. So, since the first DNS server isn't resolving, Im assuming if the second one isnt configured right I'll loose internet. Im just confused and dont know where to start troubleshooting...

  • Is this DVD drive broken? Brand new, i need help convincing

    - by acidzombie24
    I am asking bc i know dell is going to give me a problem. How do i know if my DVD is broken on my laptop? i burnt 4 DL disc and they ALL failed, i called and dell suggested roxio. I used it and burnt 1 disc without error and the 2nd disc with an error. With both apps there were no 'problems' during the burning process only failed on the verification process. Some of these bad disc dont work on other PCs and one locks up windows when i click a specific file. Does that sound like a broken burner to you guys? when i called dell they told me since it can read disc properly 100% of the time and software doesnt fail in the burning process its not a broken drive _. They forward me to software support who demand a fee (i think $100) to help me fix my software. I am annoyed bc i dont want to be on the phone for them to watch me burn a dvd and since i burned it once correctly i dont want to happen to burn correctly again to have them say they solved my problem (doing nothing) and charge me refusing to refund. -edit- The errors i got were 1) the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error 2) Windows locking up when opening 1 specific file 3) Cannot copy : Data error (crc) NOTE: the file that causes the problems are random every disc

  • Use MTOM/streaming from C# calling a webservice in java exposed via jaxws

    - by raticulin
    We have this webservice created with jax-ws @WebService(name = "Mywebser", targetNamespace = "http://namespace") @MTOM(threshold = 2048) @SOAPBinding(style = SOAPBinding.Style.DOCUMENT, use = SOAPBinding.Use.LITERAL, parameterStyle = SOAPBinding.ParameterStyle.WRAPPED) public class Mywebser { @WebMethod(operationName = "doStreaming", action = "urn:doStreaming") @WebResult(name = "return") public ResultInfo doStreaming(String username, String pwd, @XmlMimeType("application/octet-stream") DataHandler data, boolean overw){ ... } } The generated client side looks like this: @WebMethod(action = "urn:doStreaming") @WebResult(targetNamespace = "") @RequestWrapper(localName = "doStreaming", targetNamespace = "http://namespace", className = "com.mypack.client.doStreaming") @ResponseWrapper(localName = "doStreamingResponse", targetNamespace = "http://namespace", className = "com.mypack.client.doStreamingResponse") public ResultInfo doStreaming( @WebParam(name = "arg0", targetNamespace = "") String arg0, @WebParam(name = "arg1", targetNamespace = "") String arg1, @WebParam(name = "arg2", targetNamespace = "") DataHandler arg2, @WebParam(name = "arg3", targetNamespace = "") boolean arg3); By using it this way it uses streaming properly (verified we can pass an argument of 80mb when the jvm had less allowed. MywebserService serv = ...; Mywebser wso = serv.getMywebserPort(new MTOMFeature()); Map<String, Object> ctxt = ((BindingProvider) wso).getRequestContext(); ctxt.put(JAXWSProperties.HTTP_CLIENT_STREAMING_CHUNK_SIZE, 8192); DataHandler dataHandler = new DataHandler(new FileDataSource("c:\\temp\\A.dat")); arcres = wso.doStreaming("a", "b", dataHandler, true); We generate a clienet for .net, with VS2008, using "Add Web Reference", we get this C# code: [System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapDocumentMethodAttribute("urn:doStreaming",RequestNamespace="http://namespace",ResponseNamespace="http://namespace",Use=System.Web.Services.Description.SoapBindingUse.Literal,ParameterStyle=System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapParameterStyle.Wrapped)] [return: System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute("return",Form=System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaForm.Unqualified)] public ResultInfo doStreaming( [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute(Form=System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaForm.Unqualified)] string arg0, [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute(Form=System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaForm.Unqualified)] string arg1, [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute(Form=System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaForm.Unqualified,DataType="base64Binary")] byte[] arg2, [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute(Form=System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaForm.Unqualified)] bool arg3) Apparently this is not using streaming? The type base64Binary of arg2 seems not the right one? In java it's a DataHandler. By testing it with low memory on the java side we can see it is not using streaming as it fails with OOM. Does someone knows if this is possible, and if so how? Our environment: server: jdk1.6, jaxws 2.1.7 client: C# 2.0, visual studio 2008

  • Hibernate + PostgreSQL : relation does not exist - SQL Error: 0, SQLState: 42P01

    - by tommy599
    Hello, I am having some problems trying to work with PostgreSQL and Hibernate, more specifically, the issue mentioned in the title. I've been searching the net for a few hours now but none of the found solutions worked for me. I am using Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers. Build id: 20090920-1017 with HibernateTools, Hibernate 3, PostgreSQL 8.4.3 on Ubuntu 9.10. Here are the relevant files: Message.class package hello; public class Message { private Long id; private String text; public Message() { } public Long getId() { return id; } public void setId(Long id) { this.id = id; } public String getText() { return text; } public void setText(String text) { this.text = text; } } Message.hbm.xml <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE hibernate-mapping PUBLIC "-//Hibernate/Hibernate Mapping DTD 3.0//EN" "http://hibernate.sourceforge.net/hibernate-mapping-3.0.dtd"> <hibernate-mapping package="hello"> <class name="Message" table="public.messages"> <id name="id" column="id"> <generator class="assigned"/> </id> <property name="text" column="messagetext"/> </class> </hibernate-mapping> hibernate.cfg.xml <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE hibernate-configuration PUBLIC "-//Hibernate/Hibernate Configuration DTD 3.0//EN" "http://hibernate.sourceforge.net/hibernate-configuration-3.0.dtd"> <hibernate-configuration> <session-factory> <property name="hibernate.connection.driver_class">org.postgresql.Driver</property> <property name="hibernate.connection.password">bar</property> <property name="hibernate.connection.url">jdbc:postgresql:postgres/tommy</property> <property name="hibernate.connection.username">foo</property> <property name="hibernate.dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.PostgreSQLDialect</property> <property name="show_sql">true</property> <property name="log4j.logger.org.hibernate.type">DEBUG</property> <mapping resource="hello/Message.hbm.xml"/> </session-factory> </hibernate-configuration> Main package hello; import org.hibernate.Session; import org.hibernate.SessionFactory; import org.hibernate.Transaction; import org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration; public class App { public static void main(String[] args) { SessionFactory sessionFactory = new Configuration().configure() .buildSessionFactory(); Message message = new Message(); message.setText("Hello Cruel World"); message.setId(2L); Session session = null; Transaction transaction = null; try { session = sessionFactory.openSession(); transaction = session.beginTransaction(); session.save(message); } catch (Exception e) { System.out.println("Exception attemtping to Add message: " + e.getMessage()); } finally { if (session != null && session.isOpen()) { if (transaction != null) transaction.commit(); session.flush(); session.close(); } } } } Table structure: foo=# \d messages Table "public.messages" Column | Type | Modifiers -------------+---------+----------- id | integer | messagetext | text | Eclipse console output when I run it Apr 28, 2010 11:13:53 PM org.hibernate.cfg.Environment <clinit> INFO: Hibernate 3.5.1-Final Apr 28, 2010 11:13:53 PM org.hibernate.cfg.Environment <clinit> INFO: hibernate.properties not found Apr 28, 2010 11:13:53 PM org.hibernate.cfg.Environment buildBytecodeProvider INFO: Bytecode provider name : javassist Apr 28, 2010 11:13:53 PM org.hibernate.cfg.Environment <clinit> INFO: using JDK 1.4 java.sql.Timestamp handling Apr 28, 2010 11:13:53 PM org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration configure INFO: configuring from resource: /hibernate.cfg.xml Apr 28, 2010 11:13:53 PM org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration getConfigurationInputStream INFO: Configuration resource: /hibernate.cfg.xml Apr 28, 2010 11:13:53 PM org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration addResource INFO: Reading mappings from resource : hello/Message.hbm.xml Apr 28, 2010 11:13:54 PM org.hibernate.cfg.HbmBinder bindRootPersistentClassCommonValues INFO: Mapping class: hello.Message -> public.messages Apr 28, 2010 11:13:54 PM org.hibernate.cfg.Configuration doConfigure INFO: Configured SessionFactory: null Apr 28, 2010 11:13:54 PM org.hibernate.connection.DriverManagerConnectionProvider configure INFO: Using Hibernate built-in connection pool (not for production use!) In Eclipse Datasource Explorer, I can ping the DB and it succeeds. Weird thing is that I can't see the tables from there either. It expands the public schema but it doesn't expand the tables. Could it be some permission issue? Thanks!

  • JQgrid - Get Row Number instead of ID

    - by mariojjsimoes
    Hello, all, I am creating a JQGrid from a database table that does not contain a single field primary key. Therefore, the field i am supplying as id is not unique and the same one exists in several rows. Because of this, when passing a reference to the data with ondblClickRow to a function external to the grid i need to use the rownumber and not the id. To test, I'm using ondblClickRow: function(id){alert($("#grid1").getInd('rowid'));}, , and i should be getting and alert with the row number, except that it isn't working. I've been over the documentation and can't understand what i am doing wrong... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Mario. Bellow is my full grid: jQuery(document).ready(function(){ var mygrid = jQuery("#grid1").jqGrid({ datatype: 'xmlstring', datastr : grid1RsXML, width: 1024, height: 500, colNames:['DEVICE_ID','JOB_SIZE_IN_BYTES', 'USER_NAME','HOST_NAME','DAY_OF_WEEK','JOB_ID'], colModel:[ {name:'DEVICE_ID',index:'DEVICE_ID', width:55, sortable:true}, {name:'JOB_SIZE_IN_BYTES',index:'JOB_SIZE_IN_BYTES', width:40, sortable:true}, {name:'USER_NAME',index:'USER_NAME', width:60, sortable:true}, {name:'HOST_NAME',index:'HOST_NAME', width:50,align:"right", sortable:true}, {name:'DAY_OF_WEEK',index:'DAY_OF_WEEK', width:10, sortable:true}, {name:'JOB_ID',index:'JOB_ID', width:30, sortable:true} ], rowNum:1000, autowidth: true, //rowList:[10,20,30], rowList:[1], pager: '#grid1Pager', sortname: 'DEVICE_ID', viewrecords: true, rownumbers: true, sortorder: "desc", sortable: true, gridview : true, xmlReader: { root : "recordset", row: "record", repeatitems: false, id: "DEVICE_ID" }, caption:"All Jobs - Double Click for detailed history", ondblClickRow: function(id){alert($("#grid1").getInd('rowid'));}, toolbar: [true,"top"], url: grid1RsXML });

  • Manual (Dynamic) LINQ subquery using IN clause

    - by immortalali-msn-com
    Hi Everyone, I want to query the DB through LINQ writing manual SQL, my linq method is: var q = db.TableView.Where(sqlAfterWhere); returnValue = q.Count(); this method queries well if the value passed to variable "sqlAfterWhere" is: (this variable is String type) it.Name = 'xyz' but what if i want to use IN clause, using a sub query. (i need to use 'it' before every column name in the above query to work), i cant use 'it' before the sub query columns as its a separate query, so what should i do, if i dont use any thing, and use column names directly it gives error saying " could not be resolved" where is my column names with out 'it' at the begining. So the query not working is: (this is a string passed to the variable above): it.Name IN (SELECT Name FROM TableName WHERE Address LIKE '%SomeAddress%') the errors come out as: Name could not be resolved Address could not be resolved The exact error is: "'Name' could not be resolved in the current scope or context. Make sure that all referenced variables are in scope, that required schemas are loaded, and that namespaces are referenced correctly., near simple identifier, line 6, column 25." Same error for "Address as well if i use 'it.' before these columns it gives error as: "The element type 'Edm.Int32' and the CollectionType 'Transient.collection[Transient.rowtype(GroupID,Edm.Int32(Nullable=True,DefaultValue=))]' are not compatible. The IN expression only supports entity, primitive, and reference types. , near WHERE predicate, line 6, column 14." Thanks for the help

  • Autocompletebox text in Silverlight

    - by Ciaran
    I'm having trouble getting the autocomplete box in System.Windows.Controls.Input working as I wish. When I start typing the dropdown section that displays the filtered list doesn't show the property that I'm binding to, it shows the class name instead. So in the example below, when I type in my - instead of showing 'My Name' it shows MyNamespace.Person. However, when I select the item from the autocomplete list, it displays the FullName property in the textbox. I'm sure I'm just missing a simple autocomplete box property somewhere but I can't see it. Example code: public class Person { public string FirstName { get; set; } public string LastName { get; set; } public string FullName { get { return string.Format("{0} {1}", FirstName, LastName); } } } In my xaml code behind I create some Person objects and store them in a list and bind that list to an autocomplete box List<Person> people = new List<Person>(); people.Add(new Person { FirstName = "My", LastName = "Name" }); people.Add(new Person { FirstName = "Fernando", LastName = "Torres" }); acbNames.ItemsSource = people; My xaml: <my:AutoCompleteBox Name="acbNames" ValueMemberPath="FullName" /> /* after entering 'my', auto complete displays 'MyNamespace.Person' instead of 'My Name', but displays 'My Name' after selecting the item from the list */

I've come this far. So my question is how do I get hold of the textbox and how do I update the listbox? Here is my click event private void ButtonAddNewTask_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { Button button = (Button)sender; Project proj = button.DataContext as Project; if(proj.Tasks == null) proj.Tasks = new List<Task>(); proj.Tasks.Add(new Task("Added Task")); } Thanx

  • Websphere 7 simple realm (like tomcat-users.xml)

    - by Heavy Bytes
    I am trying to port a J2EE app from Tomcat to Websphere and I'm not too familiar with Websphere. The only problem I am having is authorization (I use basic-authentication in my web.xml). In Tomcat I use the tomcat-users.xml file to define my users/passwords and to what roles they belong. How do I do this "simply" in Websphere? When deploying the EAR to Websphere it also asks me to map my role from web.xml to a user or group. Do I have to set up some sort of realm? Custom user registry? Thanks. UPDATE: I configured a Standalone custom registry, however I can't get a log-in prompt for username/password. It works just fine in Tomcat, and it doesn't in Websphere. Code from web.xml <security-constraint> <web-resource-collection> <web-resource-name>basic-auth security</web-resource-name> <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern> </web-resource-collection> <auth-constraint> <role-name>HELLO_USER</role-name> </auth-constraint> <user-data-constraint>NONE</user-data-constraint> </security-constraint> <login-config> <auth-method>BASIC</auth-method> </login-config> <security-role> <role-name>HELLO_USER</role-name> </security-role>
