• Vertical mouse scrolling wheel not working in VS 2010 Ultimate

  The title says it all. I tried it with two different mice- both of which work perfectly fine in all other applications. The mouse is MS Intellimouse Optical. I even tried to speed up the vertical scroll through the mouse utility and still nothing. It barely moves the code a tiny bit and then it stops. I had no problems at all with VS 2008 which is concurrently installed in the same machine. Am I the only one having this???

So my understanding is (or what I could research on this) that, http://My_server TOP Level SIte or SPWEbApplication http://My_server/My_site Site Collection or SPSite Now a site under SPSite that will be referenced through SPWeb. So what are we getting when using SPWeb.Webs. What is a Subsite? Please let me know if I need to rephrase the question or more info is needed. Thanks. • Fire Fox 3.6 - location.href not working in JSP

  I have jsp page with method = POST and action='/mydir/mypage/nextpage' I have a button : < button title='Continue' onclick="this.form.perform.value='cancelButton'; javascript:doCloseWindow();" Continue < /button and java script method like: function doCloseWindow(){ location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; } It does not work in fire fox 3.6. On click of button; it redirects to the path I mentioned in form action. With Tamper data I find that the request goes to URL ( as in method ) with GET and then it re-directs to form's action URL. I added return false in the method call also.-- javascript:doCloseWindow();return false" I tired various combination like window.location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; window.document.location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; document.location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; But no success.

• OpenFileDialog.AutoUpgradeEnabled doesn't work under Vista or 7?

  If I specify OpenFileDialog.AutoUpgradeEnabled = true, my program still shows the old XP-style dialog. Any idea why this would happen? If you create this window in XAML, you can see that when you don't specify a width for the window, it wraps the text in a single column, one letter at a time. Is there something I'm missing?   I'm using Selenium and Firefox. I have a link on a page (say linkA) that opens a new page in a new tab. The new tab is displayed when linkA is clicked. I then want to interact with the new page. Here is my selenium script: click linkA pause 5000 selectWindow Title click linkB (note: linkB is on the new page) Selenium cannot identify the new tab. It reports: [warn] Link has target '_blank', which is not supported in Selenium! Randomizing target to be: selenium_blank24003 Is there any way to tell Selenium to interact with the displayed tab?

  I have a document with dynamic image and dynamic text and would like the text around the image. The image is right aligned on the landscape page. Sometimes it first crashes in the second time using the for-loop. What did I wrong?

  I have three objects; Action, Issue and Risk. These all contain a nunber of common variables/attributes (for example: Description, title, Due date, Raised by etc.) and some specific fields (risk has probability). The question is: Should I create 3 separate classes Action, Risk and Issue each containing the repeat fields. Create a parent class "Abstract_Item" containing these fields and operations on them and then have Action, Risk and Issue subclass Abstract_Item. This would adhere to DRY principal.

• DBD::Advantage and 64-bit Perl - Always 6060

  I realize that I am attempting to go beyond the "supported" behavior of the manf's released drivers for perl, after all they have only released it in package with x86 .so's. However, since I cannot use their package with x64 Perl on a RHEL 5.4 x86_64 box, and maintaining a seperate install of x86 perl just for this one package, I have made an attempt to get this puppy working thanks to released 64-bit .so's that accompany other driver packages for Advantage. What I have done to this point: download beta 10 DBI drivers, in 32 download beta 10 PHP extension (it contains 32 and x86_64) copy the required DLLs into the ads-lib location (eg /usr/local/ads/lib64) compile the Perl DBI driver with the path to the lib64's .so's Good compilation, good install, good use. The problem is that I always get : failed: [iAnywhere Solutions][Advantage SQL][ASA] Error 6060: Advantage Database Server not available on specified server. axServerConnect (SQL-HY000)(DBD: db_login/SQLConnect err=-1) Does anyone have any ideas? • SyndicationItem.Content is Null

  I'm trying to pull the contents of an RSS feed into an object that can be manipulated in code. It looks like the SyndicationFeed and SyndicationItem classes in .NET 3.5 will do what I need, except for one thing. Every time I've tried to read in the contents of an RSS feed using the SyndicationFeed class, the .Content element for each SyndicationItem is null. I've run my feed through FeedValidator and have tried this with feeds from several other sources, but to no avail. XmlReader xr = XmlReader.Create("http://shortordercode.com/feed/"); SyndicationFeed feed = SyndicationFeed.Load(xr); foreach (SyndicationItem item in feed.Items) { Console.WriteLine(item.Title.Text); Console.WriteLine(item.Content.ToString()); } Console.ReadLine(); I suspect I may just be missing a step somewhere, but I can't seem to find a good tutorial on how to consume RSS feeds using these classes.

• How can I pop a view from a UINavigationController and replace it with another in one operation?

  I have an application where I need to remove one view from the stack of a UINavigationController and replace it with another. The situation is that the first view creates an editable item and then replaces itself with an editor for the item. When I do the obvious solution within the first view: MyEditViewController *mevc = [[MYEditViewController alloc] initWithGizmo: gizmo]; [self retain]; [self.navigationController popViewControllerAnimated: NO]; [self.navigationController pushViewController: mevc animated: YES]; [self release]; I get very strange behavior. Usually the editor view will appear, but if I try to use the back button on the nav bar I get extra screens, some blank, and some just screwed up. The title becomes random too. It is like the nav stack is completely hosed. What would be a better approach to this problem? Thanks, Matt

I think it's a cool idea, but I have trouble thinking of things they can do besides make a class based on an object's attributes/database schema (as described in The Pragmatic Programmer). In the home view (index.haml), I list the Questions like this: - @questions.each do |q| %tr %td =link_to q.title, q Next to each of those, I want to add a link that will create a new Answer and pass the id of the Question in that row (continued from the above Haml code) : %td #{link_to 'answer me!', new_answer_path, pass q.id here somehow?} I don't know how to properly pass it and then access it in AnswersController. I tried #{link_to 'answer me!', new_answer_path, :question_id => q.id}, but that was just a guess, and I don't know how to access that in AnswersController. I read the Rails API docs, and I know you can add query, too, but I still don't know how to access the value in AnswersController.

• ASP.NET MVC The new ActionLink with MvcHtmlString and request URL generated

  This piece of code used to work in MVC 1 but it does not since I upgraded to MVC 2: <%=Html.ActionLink(Resources.Localize.Routes_WidgetsCreate, "Create" + "?modal=true", "Widget", null, new { rel = "shadowbox;height=600;width=700", title = Resources.Localize.Routes_WidgetsCreate })%> I am aware it has something to do with the way ActionLink encodes things, so the result that comes out is something like this: "http://localhost:53704/Widget/Create%3fmodal%3dtrue" The problem is, when clicked, the Shadowbox modal opens up and inside, where the request View should be rendered is this exception: Server Error in '/' Application. A potentially dangerous Request.Path value was detected from the client (?). What can I do to get past that? Do you recommend another way of sending params to the view besides in QueryString (in this case I need "modal" because in the view I select CSS styles based on whether we are rendering modal or not)?
