  • Can an applet communicate with an instance of a servlet

    Hello everyone, I have an applet that communicates with a servlet using Http (Not sockets). Currently, each instance of the applet (i.e. when each applet is run by a different client on a different computer), all the instances communicate with the same servlet. What I want is that each instance of the applet communicate with different instances of the same servlet. Is this possible?

    Hello Railers, I have a simple yield use case and for some unknown reason the default case is never shown: In my super_admin layout I have: <%= yield :body_id || 'super_admin_main' %> My controller class Superadmin::GolfsController < ApplicationController layout "super_admin" def show end end My show view With or without <% content_for(:body_id) do %sadmin_golfs<% end % With: sadmin_golfs is shown. without: empty string is shown instead of super_admin_main Can anyone reproduce the same behavior ?     Hello. I faced the following problem: there's a user who has to execute a stored porcedure (spTest). In spTest's body sp_trace_generateevent is called. sp_trace_generateevent requires alter trace permissions and I don't want user to have it. So I would like user to be able to execute spTest.     Hello all, I have an instance of a FlowCoverView (a great library that emulates cover flow on the iPhone). And it works great, with the exception of an update. When I update my table behind the scenes, I have no way of telling this control (that is defined in IB) that it has been updated, and to reload. (much like you can with a table using reloadData) To the question, is there a way to replace a control that is on the screen with another control to force the reload?

    Hello Iam working in a global int in which a variable will be used later. I've made the global variable like this: class Foo { public static int stream = Bass.BASS_StreamCreateFile(path1.Text, 0, 0, BASSFlag.BASS_DEFAULT); } which will be later called like this: Foo.stream and it can also contain more then 1 stream for example stream20,30,etc... The problem here is that it returns me this error: "An object reference is required for the non-static field, method, or property" where I call the text in path1.Text How do I fix this?
