    A classes Type metadata can be obtained in several ways. Two of them are: var typeInfo = Type.GetType("MyClass") and var typeInfo = typeof(MyClass) The advantage of the second way is that typos will be caught by the compiler, and the IDE can understand what I'm talking about (allowing features like refactoring to work without silently breaking the code) Does there exist an equivalent way of strongly referencing members/properties/methods for metadata and reflection? Can I replace: var propertyInfo = typeof(MyClass).GetProperty("MyProperty") with something like: var propertyInfo = property(MyClass.MyProperty)

    [Example] <1 2 3 4 = <3 1 2 4 <1 2 3 4 != <3 4 1 1 and ummm it is in java. cant use hashmap table or anything just pure without library. I know there are two ways. 1. sort them and compare the array index by index 2. use two for loops and compare the outer index with the inner index.   • Windows Service Fails on Launch

    I'm trying to write a windows service. It installs fine, but fails when I run it with the following exception. I've searched for the string "MyNewProgramService", but I can't find any conversions that would throw this error. I've also added try/catch blocks to a bunch of code with custom exception handling without finding where this exception is occuring. I'm thinking it's somewhere in the auto-generated configuartion/setup code. Any ideas?   • Sharepoint lockout

    Recently a guy from our 3rd line team thought it would be funny to delete my account from AD. This has now been re-added. Everything is back to normal apart from my Access to Sharepoint sites. I am getting "The file exists. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070050)" Error on all sites. After some googleing I came across a guy with the same issue and it was an issue with the SID being different from my old account. Since this I deleted my account from Site Administrators and re-added. This would refresh the SID with the new one. I also check on the Content database that the site ID matched using the following transactions and the SIDs match. select s.Id, w.FullUrl from Sites s inner join Webs w on s.RootWebId = w.Id select * from UserInfo where tp_Login='domain\username' and tp_SiteID='' I am now a bit clueless.

  • disable mystery programs running at startup

    Hi and sorry for the ambiguous title... I have a few programs that should run at startup which are 'properly' configured to do so via adding shortcuts to the startup directory: C:\Users\[me]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup However I have (at least) 4 programs which are also starting up, which I can't find where they are configured or how to disable them. I have tried to find them in the above folder, as well as in the 'startup' section of 'msconfig'. The programs include: Skype (for which I have disabled 'start when windows starts' in its options) Thunderbird (for which I cannot find any option to run-at-startup) Task manager (as above) and some anonymous call to javaw (can't find any more details but it fails anyway) The other strange thing is that it seems like these (at least skype and thunderbird) are running 'as administrator' ... i have deduced this because I am unable to use the file-drag-and-drop feature in both (which is a known problem when running 'as administrator'). If someone could guide me to where these extra programs are configured to run-at-startup I would be very greatful! ps. my user account has the administrator role. EDIT: preferrably without another 3rd party tool...

The following are the restrictions: The classes SURFACE and CURVE are from 3rd party libraries and hence unmodifiable. (If it helps they are both derived from IDispatch) There are even more similar classes (e.g. FACE) that could fit into this "template" (not C++ template, just the flow of lines of code) I know the following could (possibly?) be implemented as solutions but am really hoping there is a better solution: I could add a 3rd parameter to the 2 methods - e.g. an enum - that identifies the 1st parameter (e.g. enum::input_type_surface, enum::input_type_curve) I could pass in an IDispatch and try dynamic_cast< and test which cast is NON_NULL and do an if-else to call the right method (e.g. getPlaneParams() vs. get_LineParams()) The following is not a restriction but would be a requirement because of my teammates resistance: Not implement a new class that inherits from SURFACE/CURVE etc. (They would much prefer to solve it using the enum solution I stated above)

I made a new iphone library project and copied over some of my classes there, but the project can't build because it doesn't know about stuff like UIView or CGRect. I added in the UIKit, CoreGraphics, and QuartzCore frameworks, but still no go. What am I missing?

    Hello, I have got four classes A, B, C and D. Class A has a member b of class B. Class B has a member c of class C. A has a member D* dpointer; This hierarchy has to be preserved (in fact this is a GUI with app, window, panel as A, B and C). Now B and C must use a method from *dpointer. Is there something more elegant than giving dpointer as a member of B and C ? Is it bad ?

I have an object that has a composite id including a long and a date and I am trying to save an instance of the object from the update method of another classes controller, and using (object).save() isn't working.   • Doxygen with C# internal access modifier

    I am using Doxygen to generate some API docs for a C# project I am working on. I have quite a bit of "internal" functionality in this project and don't want Doxygen producing these signatures in the generated html it produces. I have tried enabling HIDE_FRIEND_COMPOUNDS but this still results in my internal classes being exposed in the generated documentation. Does anyone know how to do this?

    In my app, users can create galleries that their work may or may not be in. Users have and belong to many Galleries, and each gallery has a 'creator' that is designated by the gallery's user_id field. So to get the 5 latest galleries a user is in, I can do something like: included_in = @user.galleries.order('created_at DESC').uniq.first(5) # SELECT DISTINCT "galleries".* FROM "galleries" INNER JOIN "galleries_users" ON "galleries"."id" = "galleries_users"."gallery_id" WHERE "galleries_users"."user_id" = 10 ORDER BY created_at DESC LIMIT 5 and to get the 5 latest galleries they've created, I can do: created = Gallery.where(user_id: id).order('created_at DESC').uniq.first(5) # SELECT DISTINCT "galleries".* FROM "galleries" WHERE "galleries"."user_id" = 10 ORDER BY created_at DESC LIMIT 5 I want to display these two together, so that it's the 5 latest galleries that they've created OR they're in. Something like the equivalent of: (included_in + created).order('created_at DESC').uniq.first(5) Does anyone know how to construct an efficient query or post-query loop that does this?

  • How can I link two Java serialised objects back together?

    Sometimes (quite a lot, actually) we get a situation in Java where two objects are pointing to the same thing. Now if we serialise these separately it is quite appropriate that the serialised forms have separate copies of the object as it should be possible to open one without the other. However if we now deserialise them both, we find that they are still separated. Is there any way to link them back together? Anyways, I'd like to have everyone using the same convention in all classes (with the predefined order of all regions) like: Private Fields Constructors Class Properties Event Handlers etc...
