• How can I get the real Emailaddress of a recipient?

  a user in out Company has 2 mail-addresses on one Exchange-Mailbox. e.g test@... and test1@... the Primary SMTP-address off the Mailbox is test@. If I send a message to test1@, load it using EWS and parse through the TORecipients-Collection there is exactly one emailadress. But the mailaddress EWS gives to me is test@... and not test1@... where I sent the mail. My problem is, that all mails sent to test@ should be imported in our CRM using my program. All mails sent to test1@... must not be imported. In real life both mailaddresses are from my Boss. One is used for normal purposes the other one is for confidential e.g. from his lawyer. Does anyone know how I can get the real-emailaddress the message was sent to?

• How to use AND/OR Building Block content in a Word 2007 template

  I am creating a Schedule of Work template and am successfully using Developer Tab and Quick Parts to allow user to choose content on an "either/or" basis: either A; OR B; OR C; etc., essentially choose one option from many. One Building Block control, one paragraph, nice and clean. Now what I need to do but cannot seem to figure out, is how to allow user to choose content on an "and/or" basis: either A AND B; A OR B AND C; B AND D AND E OR F; etc., essentially choose several options from many on a variable basis. One Building Block control, maybe one paragraph, maybe three or more paragraphs. Not so clean. I thought of building choice options for all possible paragraph combinations, but I can have as many as 7 or 8 different paragraphs, and that solution quickly becomes unworkable. Multiple controls--some of which will be left unused doesn't work either, since I cannot find an easy way to have a "Choose or Delete" control that actually deletes if "Delete" is chosen. Recommendations are most welcome.

• VMWare Setup with 2 Servers and a DAS (DELL MD3220)

  I am planning to use a VMWare based setup consisting of two VMWare servers (2 CPU, 256GB Memory) and a DAS (DELL MD3220 with 24x900GB disks). The virtual machines will be half running MS SQL databases (Application, Sharepoint, BI) and the other half of the VM will be file services, IIS. To enhance the capacity of the storage, we'll be adding a MD1220 enclosure with another 24x900GB to the MD3220. Both DAS will have 2 controllers. Our current measured IOPS is 1000 IOPS average, 7000 IOPS peak (those happen maybe twice per hour). We are in the planning phase now and are looking at the proper setup of the disks. The intention is to setup up both DAS one of the DAS with RAID 10 only and the other DAS with RAID 5. That will allow us to put the applications on the DAS that supports the application performance needs best. Question is how best to partition the two DASs to get best possible IOPS/MBps, each DAS will have to have 2 hot spares? For the RAID 5 Setup: Generally speaking, would it be better to have one single disk group across all 22 disks (24 - 2 hot spares) with both controllers assigned to the one disk group or is it better to have 2 disk groups each 11 disks, assigned to one of the two controllers? Same question for the RAID 10 setup: The plan is: 2 disks for logs (Raid 1), 2 Hotspare and 20 disks for RAID 10. Option 1: 5 * 4 disks (RAID 10), with two groups assigned to 1 controller and 3 groups to the other controller Option 2: One large RAID 10 across all the disks and have both controllers assigned to the same group? I would assume that there is no right or wrong, but it all depends very much on the specific application behaviour, so I am looking for some general ideas what the pros and cons are of the different options. IF there are other meaningful options, feel free to propose them.

  The setup: SharePoint 2007 (MOSS Enterprise) on WINSVR03/IIS6 One site collection, with one access mapping (http://mainsite) currently I'm moving the main SharePoint site, in our one site collection, to be a subsite in a new site collection. I'm using SharePoint Content Deployment Wizard to complete this task (http://spdeploymentwizard.codeplex.com/). The Question So the main site http://mainsite being moved has many subsites, etc. I want to be sure that urls like this: http://mainsite/subsite/doclib/doc1.docx map to and redirect to the new url: http://newsite/mainsite/subsite/doclib/doc1.docx ? And furthermore: I'm aware of this - http://rdacollaboration.codeplex.com/releases/view/28073 , however is it IIS7 only? That'd wouldn't work for me. Looking at this question - http://serverfault.com/questions/107537/dealing-with-moved-documents-and-sites-in-sharepoint is the only one I see that is similar. Would an IIS redirect of http://mainsite to http://newsite/mainsite work only for the root url?

• Google Apps For Business, SSO, AD FS 2.0 and AD

  We are a small company with 22 people in the office. We had a lot of problems with e-mail in the past so I decided to change over to Google Apps for Business. It is the perfect solution for us, except for one thing: I need to be able to control the access to the mailboxes. Only users inside the office, authenticated to AD, or users authenticated to our VPN can connect to gmail. From what I've read it is possible using the SSO (Single Sign On) solution provided by Google - but i am having some trouble finding consistent information about it. First of all, our infrastructure: Windows Server 2008 R2 Active Directory, one domain only. Kerio Control for QoS and VPN. That's about it on our side. On Google Apps' side, I have one account, and 03 domains that my users use to log in. The main domain has most of the users, but the are a couple of people that login using one of the subdomains. I have a 03 domains because I run mail for 03 companies and wanted all to be in within the same control panel. Well, I found some guides on the internet but none of them cover the AD FS installation part. I've read somewhere that I needed to download AD FS 2.0 directly from Microsoft.com, because the one that came with Windows Server was a old version. I downloaded it (adfsSetup.exe) and tried to install but got an error, saying that I needed a Windows Server 2008 Sp2 for that program. My Windows Server 2008 is R2. I really need some help here, this is very importand, I dont want to have to pay $1000 for a SSO solution when i have an AD set up. Can someone please point me out to the right direction? Where can I find an AD FS 2.0 setup compatible with R2 would be a good start, or the one that came with r2 is already the 2.0 version. After the initial setup, there are some guides on the internet about the Google Apps part. It seems to be really easy. I also tried adding AD FS role, but there are a bunch of options wich I have no idea what means, and I coudn't find any guide covering that on the internet. I dont have a lot of experience with Windows Server, but I have a company wich is certificated and provide us with support. I can ask for their help in the later setup, but I dont think ADFS is a very common thing to deal with.

• Using TrueCrypt with File Replication on Windows Server

  We have a few folders that are set to replicate to a DR file server off-site. One of these folders contains a file that is a TrueCrypt volume container. When this file is mounted in TrueCrypt, the file won't replicate (fair enough!). I'm looking at alternatives to improve this situation. One solution I currently have is to have a scheduled task to unmount the volume and then every morning as the volume is needed, have someone mount it. This is a pain slightly because the password is known by a few people (I'm not one and neither are my colleagues who would be performing the mounting operation) so we'd need to continually get them to come over and type it in. The other I had was to have one TrueCrypt container on each server and replicate the contents when they are mounted. I wasn't able to get TrueCrypt to see the mounted volume so I guess this is a no go. Any other solutions I have missed or a fix for the above?

• Problems using InfraRecorder to back up ISOs of certain CDs

  I've gotten into the habit of backing up my CDs as ISO files, just in case the discs should be damanged, lost, or destroyed. Using InfraRecorder, the process is pretty painless. Unfortunately, I have run into at least two discs that don't back up. I get the error message: Can't read source disc. Retrying from sector 252270 Sometimes this will appear repeatedly. One of the discs is my retail copy of Star Trek: Armada II; the other is disc one of DOOM 3. Both discs run flawlessly when I put them in the drive and let Windows AutoPlay them. Armada II appears as two tracks (one data, one audio) in InfraRecorder, and the error happens at the approximate track boundary. DOOM 3's first disc, however, fails much sooner (around sector 990) and appears as one solid data track. Am I simply using the wrong tools for this job? InfraRecorder is a nice free tool that I can run from my flash drive and use for most tasks of this type, but it does seem to have trouble with certain things. Ideally I'd like to hear about any workarounds people have found for this issue, but if I must switch tools I'm open to it (preferably other free tools).

  Is this some new "feature" for thunderbird 8? When I start thunderbird it starts by opening thunderbird. Once it is loading thunderbird it loads another 6 thunderbirds. The windows are called Mozilla Thunderbird Inbox - [email protected] - Mozilla Thuderbird Inbox - [email protected] - Mozilla Thuderbird Inbox - [email protected] - Mozilla Thuderbird Inbox - [email protected] - Mozilla Thuderbird (yes it repeats the same one a few times) Inbox - [email protected] - Mozilla Thuderbird I have 7 email accounts but for whatever reason it only made 3 windows. What happened to the one window? When I minimize to tray I got 4 of thunderbird icons. When closing one of them all of the close. My other windows 7(32 bit not 64 bit) only have one instance.

• Windows 7 - Remote Desktop - multiple credentials

  My home network consists of a couple Windows XP machines and a Windows 7 box. One of the Windows XP boxes is like a shared server accessed via Remote Desktop. I have an account on there and my gf has another. Previously I was able to save RDC shortcuts to this shared server including credentials. So in order to access the server from a computer on the network, I just needed to open the shortcut. I thus would have two shortcuts, one for my account and one for my gf's. In Windows 7, it seems to store credentials for a box based on machine name. I.e. I can only store one set of credentials per machine name. This seems incredibly stupid so my question is: In Windows 7, is there some way to have RDC shortcuts that use different credentials to login to the same target box?

• Can I force a workstation to use a specific domain controller?

  I'm on a domain that I can't control the domain controllers on, but I can control my systems. All the domain controllers are part of one site, and that cannot change. However, one of the domain controllers is not working correctly and the admins in charge of it are taking forever to resolve the issue. There are 6 total domain controllers... for some reason my workstations/servers are still attempting to use the bad one to authenticate my users. Is there a way to force a workstation to use specific domain controllers? or, better yet, force it to NOT use the bad one? Thanks in advance!

• OpenSSH SFTP server with chroot() + File Permissions

  I am currently setting up an SFTP server but there is one detail I can't seem to figure out. When I add a user, I would like him to connect using his client and be able to write in his "root dir" right away. My Match case for the SFTP-users group currently has ChrootDirectory set as "/home/%u", and inside that directory I have to have a subdirectory owned by the user, while /home/%u itself is owned by root. Next to that, the "root dir" also has a couple files, .bashrc to name one. Is it possible to put these files somewhere else, remove them, or at least make them invisible to the user? Thanks EDIT: One more little thing I'd like to implement is for one account to have read (or rw, not sure yet) access to all other users' home directories. What is the easiest way to implement this?

  Hello, I own Sony Vaio Z laptop with two external USB ports. It's quite new and has USB 2.0 support. I'm using Vista x64 on it. I also have two external usb hard drives, Iomega 500GB and WD for 1TB. Every hard drive has USB 2.0 support. I connect two devices to my laptop and trying to copy date from one hard drive to another. But it takes a lot of time! The speed is about 15 Megabytes per second. I have to wait toooooo long to copy all the information from one hard drive to another. When I try to copy information from my internal (SSD) hard drive, it works fine for both external drives. The speed is very high and it shows me something about 100 Megabytes per second. It makes me feel that USB 2.0 is OK on both drives. But when I'm trying to copy from one external drive to another external, I still get very low speed. I checked out Device Manager and here is the settings I have: (sorry, can't upload image because of my rating, check this url: http://picbite.com/image/122073daljo/ ) I think it's because two of my external drives use the same USB 2.0 controller. Is there any way to make it work faster? Is it possible to move one of my USB ports to other USB 2.0 controller? • Replacing sick NTP server source and re-synching (with internal time currently 2 minutes late)

  One of the external NTP servers (the primary one--currently) we're using as source seems to not be responding to NTP calls. Unfortunately, on our core router (Cisco 6509), the NTP functionality hasn't switched to the secondary NTP external server as it was expected. As a result, our core router which is pretty much our main internal NTP source is 2 minutes late. I'm planning to fix the external router issue by making the external NTP source be the one currently working. I'm wondering, how much will a 2 minute change affect my users and services? Specially since these days, we're heavily relying on certificate-based authentication. We're a Windows/Cisco shop.   I use Banshee to organise my music, I particularly like its scoring system and I have smart playlists based on it. However, I have two versions of my music library, one on each of my computers. As one of the computers is small I only have a favourite set of songs on that computer rather than my whole collection. The computers are not on a local network, but I do use Ubuntu One for file sharing between them. Is there any way I can synchronise song data (play count, score, skip count ...) and playlist data (including smart playlists that include songs based on this data) between the two computers? This would only be relevant of course for the songs that exist on both computers, the songs that exist on only one would need to be ignored. I did consider putting the library data file (I think it is .xml but I'm not sure) into the shared file and creating a symbolic link to it, but then I wouldn't be able to have a different set of songs on each computer.   I'm trying to block a certain element on a site using AdBlock Plus's element hiding feature. However the problem is that there are two elements with the same exact name and type that I'm trying to hide so there's no way to tell the filter which one to keep and which one not to keep. So I figure there might be a way to hide only the second element by telling it to only hide the second occurrence of an element that matches the filter. Like skip the first one and hide the second occurrence. Or alternatively maybe hide the one that also has a certain other element in front of it. Is there any way to do this? Like regular expressions or something?

  Hi All We have a very simple set up, looking for a very simple (reliable) solution: Setup: One Dell box with redundant power supplies running Windows 2003, plugged into two separate APC SmartUPS 1500 units (USB, no smart cards) on two separate circuits. Solution required: IF (UPS1 = Low) AND (UPS2 = Low) THEN: Shutdown gracefully ELSE: DO NOTHING!! APCUPSD only allowes for one instance (and therefore one UPS) in a windows environment. PowerChute can't do this without using APC Smart Cards which means utilizing our switch, but the switch does not have redundant power supplies, so it will only live for as long as one of the two UPS units. And no, i don't have the budget to buy two smart cards pluse a switch with redundancy ;) Thanks

Our problem is one person can start downloading something and kill the network and every hour we download logs into our cluster but it floods the network unless we rate limit it. Ideally we want to be able to say: total: 35 mbps Hadoop Cluster (15 mbps) Phones (1 mbps) Office(25 people) (19mbps but no one machine can have more than 5mbps)
