• C# need help debugging socks5-connection attemp

  Hi, I've written the following code to (successfully) connect to a socks5 proxy. I send a user/pw auth and get an OK reply (0x00), but as soon as I tell the proxy to connect to whichever ip:port, it gives me 0x01 (general error). • Why does BeginReceiveFrom never time out?

  I am writing an asynchronous Ping using Raw Sockets in F#, to enable parallel requests using as few threads as possible ("System.Net.NetworkInformation.Ping" appears to use one thread per request, but have not tested this... also am interested in using F# async workflows). The synchronous version below correctly times out when the target host does not exist/respond, but the asynchronous version hangs. Both work when the host does respond... Any ideas? • How to create Large resumable download from a secured location .NET

But only one problem it doesn't allow for resume. I took the original code called it fetch.aspx and pass an orderNUM through the URL. fetch.aspx&ordernum=xxxxxxx It then reads the filename/location from the database occording to the ordernumber, and chunks it out from a secured location NOT under the webroot. I need a way to make this resumable, by the nature of the internet and large files people always get disconnected and would like to resume where they left off. But any resumable articles i've read, assume the file is within the webroot.. ie. http://www.devx.com/dotnet/Article/22533/1954 Great article and works well, but I need to stream from a secured location. I'm not a .NET coder at all, at best i can do a bit of coldfusion, if anyone could help me modify a handler to do this, i would really appreciate it. Requirements: I Have a working fetch.aspx script that functions well and uses the above code snippet as a base for the streamed downloading. Download files are large 600MB and are stored in a secured location outside of the webroot. Users click on the fetch.aspx to start the download, and would therefore be clicking it again if it was to fail. If the ext is a .ASPX and the file being sent is a AVI, clicking on it would completely bypass an IHTTP handler mapped to .AVI ext, so this confuses me From what I understand the browser will read and match etag value and file modified date to determine they are talking about the same file, then a subsequent accept-range is exchanged between the browser and IIS. Since this dialog happens with IIS, we need to use a handler to intercept and respond accordingly, but clicking on the link would send it to an ASPX file which the handeler needs to be on an AVI fiel.. Also confusing me. If there is a way to request the initial HTTP request header containing etag, accept-range into the normal .ASPX file, i could read those values and if the accept-range and etag exist, start chunking at that byte value somehow? but I couldn't find a way to transfer the http request headers since they seem to get lost at the IIS level. OrderNum which is passed in the URL string is unique and could be used as the ETag Response.AddHeader("ETag", request("ordernum")) Files need to be resumable and chunked out due to size. File extensions are .AVI so a handler could be written around it. IIS 6.0 Web Server Any help would really be appreciated, i've been reading and reading and downloading code, but none of the examples given meet my situation with the original file being streamed from outside of the webroot. Please help me get a handle on these httphandlers :)

I can't ensure that the user of the tool has write priveledges on the source file folder so I want to load the file into memory, compress it to an array of bytes and insert it into my database.   Hi I have read so many articles on the Internet about this problem but none seem to have a clear solution. Please could someone give me a definite answer as to why I am getting database timeouts. The app is a GWT app that is being hosted on a Tomcat 5.5 server. • drupal_get_form is not passing along node array

  I have not been able to get drupal_get_form to pass on the node data. Code snippets are below. The drupal_get_form documentation (api.drupal.org) states that it will pass on the extra parameters. I am basing the node data not being passed because (apparently) $node['language'] is not defined in hook_form which causes $form['qqq'] not to be created and thus the preview button shows up. My goal here is that the preview button show up using path "node/add/author" but doesn't show up for "milan/author/add". Any alternative methods for achieving this goal would be helpful but the question I want answered is in the preceding paragraph. Everything I've read indicates that it should work. • Using label tags in a validation summary error list?

  I was thinking about making use of <label> tags in my validation error summary on a failed form submit and I can't figure out if it is going to get me in trouble down the line. Can anyone think of a good reason to avoid this approach? Usability, functionality, design, or other issues are all helpful. I really like the idea of clicking a line item in the error list and being jumped to the offending input element, especially in a mobile HTML scenario where vertical orientation is more common and scrolling is a pain. So far the only problem I can find is that labels don't navigate for radio buttons or checkboxes without individual IDs (Clicking a label for a single ID-tagged radio/checkbox element alters its selection). It doesn't make it any worse than no label, though. • Injecting Entitymanager via XML and not annnotations.

  What I am trying to do is inject through XML almost the same way that is done through A @PersistenceContext annotation. I am in need of this because of the fact I have different entity managers I need to inject into the same DAO. The databases mirror one another and I would rather have 1 base class and for instances of that base class then create multiple classes just so I can use the @PersistenceContext annotation. Here is my example. • Deleting unreferenced child records with nhibernate

  Hi There I am working on a mvc app using nhibernate as the orm (ncommon framework) I have parent/child entities: Product, Vendor & ProductVendors and a one to many relationship between them with Product having a ProductVendors collection Product.ProductVendors. I currently am retrieving a Product object and eager loading the children and sending these down the wire to my asp.net mvc client. A user will then modify the list of Vendors and post the updated Product back. I am using a custom model binder to generate the modified Product entity. I am able to update the Product fine and insert new ProductVendors. My problem is that dereferenced ProductVendors are not cascade deleted when specifying Product.ProductVendors.Clear() and calling _productRepository.Save(product). The problem seems to be with attaching the detached instance.   I have a jqGrid multiple search dialog as below: (Note the first empty td in each row). What I want is a search grid like this (below), where: The first td is filled in with "and/or" accordingly. The corresponding search filters are also built that way. The empty td is there by default, so I assume that this is a standard jqGrid feature that I can turn on, but I can't seem to find it in the docs. Have a client server application where the client identifies its self with an RSA encrypted username & password. Unfortunately I'm getting a "bad padding exception: data must start with zero" when i try to decrypt with the public key on the client side. I'm fairly sure the key is correct as I have tested encrypting with public key then decrypting with private key on the client side with no problems at all. Just seems when I transfer it over the connection it messses it up somehow?! Using PrintWriter & BufferedReader on the sockets if thats of importance. On the client-side, I have a single HTML form where i can fill the person informations (like lastname and firstname). I also have a "switch" between "Person" and "Employee", and if the switch is on Employee I can fill the salary field. On the server-side, Servlets receive informations from the client and use the Hibernate framework to create/update data to/from the database. The mapping i'm using is a single table for persons and employee, with a discriminator. I don't know how to convert a Person in an Employee. I firstly tried to : load the Person p from the database create an empty Employee e object copy values from p into e set the salary value save e into the database But i couldn't, as I also copy the ID, and so Hibernate told me they where two instanciated ORM with the same id. And I can't cast a Person into an Employee directly, as Person is Employee's superclass. There seems to be a dirty way : delete the person, and create an employee with the same informations, but I don't really like it.. • How to implement dynamic binary search for search and insert operations of n element (C or C++)

  The idea is to use multiple arrays, each of length 2^k, to store n elements, according to binary representation of n.Each array is sorted and different arrays are not ordered in any way. In the above mentioned data structure, SEARCH is carried out by a sequence of binary search on each array. INSERT is carried out by a sequence of merge of arrays of the same length until an empty array is reached. More Detail: Lets suppose we have a vertical array of length 2^k and to each node of that array there attached horizontal array of length 2^k. That is, to the first node of vertical array, a horizontal array of length 2^0=1 is connected,to the second node of vertical array, a horizontal array of length 2^1= 2 is connected and so on. So the insert is first carried out in the first horizontal array, for the second insert the first array becomes empty and second horizontal array is full with 2 elements, for the third insert 1st and 2nd array horiz. array are filled and so on.
