  • Custom Collection Implementing IEnumerable

    - by Burnzy
I know that technically, an Interface is used for reading and not writting or editing however, I want to add an add and addrange function to the following class, here is what I currently have which is not working public class HrefCollection : IEnumerable<Href> { private IEnumerable<Href> hrefs; public IEnumerable<Href> Add( Href href ) { yield return href; } public IEnumerable<Href> AddRange( List<Href> hrefs ) { foreach( Href href in hrefs ) { yield return href; } } public IEnumerator<Href> GetEnumerator() { return hrefs.GetEnumerator(); } System.Collections.IEnumerator System.Collections.IEnumerable.GetEnumerator() { return hrefs.GetEnumerator(); } } I'm not quite sure how to associate the yield return with the private list. Thanks for your help!

  • Custom class object in Initialization list

    - by Michael
I have a class Bar: class Bar { public: Bar(void); ~Bar(void); }; And a class Foo that gets a reference to Bar object as a constructor parameter and needs to save it in a private member bar_ : class Foo { private: Bar& bar_; public: Foo(Bar& bar) : bar_(bar) {} ~Foo(void) {} }; This doesn't compile : overloaded member function not found in 'Parser' missing type specifier - int assumed. Note: C++ does not support default-int Now i suspect couple of things that i need to assure, the second error is for Bar& bar_; declaration in Foo. Do i need to use an explicit constructor when declaring bar_ ? I am interested in learning how the compiler works regarding this matter, so a detailed explanation would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

  • How to modify PropertyGrid at runtime (add/remove property and dynamic types/enums)

    - by salle55
How do you modify a propertygrid at runtime in every way? I want to be able to add and remove properties and add "dynamic types", what I mean with that is a type that result in a runtime generated dropdown in the propertygrid using a TypeConverter. I have actually been able to do both those things (add/remove properties and add dynamic type) but only separately not at the same time. To implement the support to add and remove properties at runtime I used this codeproject article and modified the code a bit to support different types (not just strings). private System.Windows.Forms.PropertyGrid propertyGrid1; private CustomClass myProperties = new CustomClass(); public Form1() { InitializeComponent(); myProperties.Add(new CustomProperty("Name", "Sven", typeof(string), false, true)); myProperties.Add(new CustomProperty("MyBool", "True", typeof(bool), false, true)); myProperties.Add(new CustomProperty("CaptionPosition", "Top", typeof(CaptionPosition), false, true)); myProperties.Add(new CustomProperty("Custom", "", typeof(StatesList), false, true)); //<-- doesn't work } /// <summary> /// CustomClass (Which is binding to property grid) /// </summary> public class CustomClass: CollectionBase,ICustomTypeDescriptor { /// <summary> /// Add CustomProperty to Collectionbase List /// </summary> /// <param name="Value"></param> public void Add(CustomProperty Value) { base.List.Add(Value); } /// <summary> /// Remove item from List /// </summary> /// <param name="Name"></param> public void Remove(string Name) { foreach(CustomProperty prop in base.List) { if(prop.Name == Name) { base.List.Remove(prop); return; } } } etc... public enum CaptionPosition { Top, Left } My complete solution can be downloaded here. It works fine when I add strings, bools or enums, but when I try to add a "dynamic type" like StatesList it doesn't work. Does anyone know why and can help me to solve it? public class StatesList : System.ComponentModel.StringConverter { private string[] _States = { "Alabama", "Alaska", "Arizona", "Arkansas" }; public override System.ComponentModel.TypeConverter.StandardValuesCollection GetStandardValues(ITypeDescriptorContext context) { return new StandardValuesCollection(_States); } public override bool GetStandardValuesSupported(ITypeDescriptorContext context) { return true; } public override bool GetStandardValuesExclusive(ITypeDescriptorContext context) { return true; } } The method of using a TypeConverter works fine when you don't try to add the property at runtime, for example this code works without any problem, but I want to be able to do both. Please take a look at my project. Thanks!

  • First try StructureMap and MVC3 via NuGet

    - by Angel Escobedo
Hello Guys, I'm trying to figure how to config StructureMap for ASP.NET MVC3 I've already using NuGet and I notice that it creates App_Start Folder with a cs file named as StructuremapMVC, so I check it and notice that is the same code but simplified that will be written manually on App_Start section placed on Global.asax... My Question is when I inject some IoC on my Controllers as the follow (I use this pattern : Entity Framework 4 CTP 4 / CTP 5 Generic Repository Pattern and Unit Testable) : private readonly IAsambleaRepository _aRep; private readonly IUnitOfWork _uOw; public AsambleaController(IAsambleaRepository aRep, IUnitOfWork uOw) { _aRep = aRep; this._uOw = uOw; } public ActionResult List(string period) { var rs = _aRep.ByPeriodo(period).ToList<Asamblea>(); return View(); } I got an Exception Exception Details: System.MissingMethodException: No parameterless constructor defined for this object.

  • C++ Class Static variable problem - C programmer new to C++

    - by Microkernel
Hi guys, I am a C programmer, but had learnt C++ @school longtime back. Now I am trying to write code in C++ but getting compiler error. Please check and tell me whats wrong with my code. typedef class _filter_session { private: static int session_count; /* Number of sessions count -- Static */ public: _filter_session(); /* Constructor */ ~_filter_session(); /* Destructor */ }FILTER_SESSION; _filter_session::_filter_session(void) { (this->session_count)++; return; } _filter_session::~_filter_session(void) { (this->session_count)--; return; } The error that I am getting is "error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol "private: static int _filter_session::session_count" (?session_count@_filter_session@@0HA)" I am using Visual Studio 2005 by the way. • Creating own LiveWallpaperPreview?

    - by Nick
Hi, I would like to create my own LiveWallpaperPreview, i.e. to show the user a fullscreen preview of what the selected Live Wallpaper looks like (without the "Set Wallpaper" and "Settings" button that the built-in preview has). Rebuilding the LivePicker-Class from 2.1 (android.git.kernel.org) works fine, so I am able to select a wallpaper to be previewed, but the actual LiveWallpaperPreview-Class tries to import the following private Interfaces/Classes: import android.service.wallpaper.IWallpaperConnection; import android.service.wallpaper.IWallpaperService; import android.service.wallpaper.IWallpaperEngine; import android.service.wallpaper.WallpaperSettingsActivity; Is there any way to display a LiveWallpaper in my app without resorting to using the private APIs (which I obviously don't want to do)? Thanks! Nick

  • Datagrid selects the wrong custom cell in my datagrid...

    - by Markus
Hi everybody, I am working on a problem since a week soon, but I still couldn't make it work as expected. I have a DataGrid which has HBox with a CheckBox an a Label as itemRenderer (see Code below). When I tap in to the Cell the standard itemEditor pops up and lets you enter the content of the label. Thats the standard behavior. I works fine except for 2 problems: If I enter to much text, the horizontal srollbar pops up, and the cell is filled with that scrollbar. As you see I tried to set the horizontalScrollPolicy to off, but that doesnt work at all... I tried to do that for all the different elements, but the failure is still existent. When I have filled more than one row, there is an other mistake happening. If I tap on a row, the datagrid selects the one below that row. That's only if one line is already selected. If I tap outside the datagrid and then, tap at any row the itemEditor of the right row will show up... Is there anything now wright in the setup of my set data method? __ package components { import mx.containers.HBox; import mx.controls.CheckBox; import mx.controls.Label; public class ChoiceRenderer extends HBox { private var correctAnswer:CheckBox; private var choiceLabel:Label; public function ChoiceRenderer() { super(); paint(); } private function paint():void{ percentHeight = 100; percentWidth = 100; setStyle("horizontalScrollPolicy", "off"); super.setStyle("horizontalScrollPolicy", "off"); correctAnswer = new CheckBox; correctAnswer.setStyle("horizontalScrollPolicy", "off"); addChild(correctAnswer); choiceLabel = new Label; choiceLabel.setStyle("horizontalScrollPolicy", "off"); addChild(choiceLabel); } override public function set data(xmldata:Object):void{ if(xmldata.name() == "BackSide"){ var xmlText:Object = xmldata.TextElements.TextElement.(@position == position)[0]; super.data = xmlText; choiceLabel.text = xmlText.toString(); correctAnswer.selected = xmlText.@correct_answer; } } } Thanks in advance! I have that configuration working just fine: # config/initializers/action_mailer.rb: ActionMailer::Base.smtp_settings = { :tls => true, :address => "smtp.gmail.com", :port => "587", :domain => "www.example.org", :authentication => :login, :user_name => "[email protected]", :password => "it's a secret" } I also have a public/private RSA key pair in config/ssl/rsa.public and config/ssl/rsa.private. What do I do to sign the emails before shipping them off to GMail's SMTP server?

And then calculate the time difference and the result will show on third edittext field in same format. • Programatically get own Phone Number in iPhone OS 4.0

    - by sandy
I am developing an iPhone application for jail broken phones and in this application I would like to fetch user's phone number. I have gone through the entire stackoverflow.com and found some relevant answers but all of them are obsolete and doesn't work with iOS 4.0 anymore. The most famous solution for this problem is NSString *num = [[NSUserDefaults standardUserDefaults] stringForKey:@"SBFormattedPhoneNumber"]; but as I mentioned this solution no more works with iOS 4.0 As my application is intended towards the jail broken phones and not intended the Apple app store so I am not worried about my app rejection, hence any private API will also work for me. Also please let me know if we can fetch IMSI number from SIM using any private APIs of iPhone

  • Is this a valid pattern for raising events in C#?

    - by Will Vousden
    Update: For the benefit of anyone reading this, since .NET 4, the lock is unnecessary due to changes in synchronization of auto-generated events, so I just use this now: public static void Raise<T>(this EventHandler<T> handler, object sender, T e) where T : EventArgs { if (handler != null) { handlerCopy(sender, e); } } And to raise it: SomeEvent.Raise(this, new FooEventArgs()); Having been reading one of Jon Skeet's articles on multithreading, I've tried to encapsulate the approach he advocates to raising an event in an extension method like so (with a similar generic version): public static void Raise(this EventHandler handler, object @lock, object sender, EventArgs e) { EventHandler handlerCopy; lock (@lock) { handlerCopy = handler; } if (handlerCopy != null) { handlerCopy(sender, e); } } This can then be called like so: protected virtual void OnSomeEvent(EventArgs e) { this.someEvent.Raise(this.eventLock, this, e); } Are there any problems with doing this? Also, I'm a little confused about the necessity of the lock in the first place. As I understand it, the delegate is copied in the example in the article to avoid the possibility of it changing (and becoming null) between the null check and the delegate call. However, I was under the impression that access/assignment of this kind is atomic, so why is the lock necessary? Update: With regards to Mark Simpson's comment below, I threw together a test: static class Program { private static Action foo; private static Action bar; private static Action test; static void Main(string[] args) { foo = () => Console.WriteLine("Foo"); bar = () => Console.WriteLine("Bar"); test += foo; test += bar; test.Test(); Console.ReadKey(true); } public static void Test(this Action action) { action(); test -= foo; Console.WriteLine(); action(); } } This outputs: Foo Bar Foo Bar This illustrates that the delegate parameter to the method (action) does not mirror the argument that was passed into it (test), which is kind of expected, I guess. My question is will this affect the validity of the lock in the context of my Raise extension method? Update: Here is the code I'm now using. It's not quite as elegant as I'd have liked, but it seems to work: public static void Raise<T>(this object sender, ref EventHandler<T> handler, object eventLock, T e) where T : EventArgs { EventHandler<T> copy; lock (eventLock) { copy = handler; } if (copy != null) { copy(sender, e); } }

  • User not being saved, SharedPreferences

    - by Lars
Hi i have a inlogscreen (inlogdialog.xml), which includes 2 EditText (username, passwd) and i have a CheckBox (saveuser) with which the user can decide weather to save the username or not. On the mainform (main.xml) i have a listner for these 3 values: private class OnReadyListener implements MyCustomForm.ReadyListener { public void ready(String user, String pass, boolean save) { username = user; password = pass; } } Now i first want to save the username through SharedPreferences but it doesn`t get saved, can someone help me please? If i check with system.out.println, the username is present in String username. • How to handle ordering of @Rule's when they are dependant on eachother

    - by Lennart Schedin
I use embedded servers that run inside Junit test cases. Sometimes these servers require a working directory (for example the Apache Directory server). The new @Rule in Junit 4.7 can handle these cases. The TemporaryFolder-Rule can create a temporary directory. A custom ExternalResource-Rule can be created for server. But how do I handle if I want to pass the result from one rule into another: import static org.junit.Assert.assertEquals; import java.io.*; import org.junit.*; import org.junit.rules.*; public class FolderRuleOrderingTest { @Rule public TemporaryFolder folder = new TemporaryFolder(); @Rule public MyNumberServer server = new MyNumberServer(folder); @Test public void testMyNumberServer() throws IOException { server.storeNumber(10); assertEquals(10, server.getNumber()); } /** Simple server that can store one number */ private static class MyNumberServer extends ExternalResource { private TemporaryFolder folder; /** The actual datafile where the number are stored */ private File dataFile; public MyNumberServer(TemporaryFolder folder) { this.folder = folder; } @Override protected void before() throws Throwable { if (folder.getRoot() == null) { throw new RuntimeException("TemporaryFolder not properly initialized"); } //All server data are stored to a working folder File workingFolder = folder.newFolder("my-work-folder"); dataFile = new File(workingFolder, "datafile"); } public void storeNumber(int number) throws IOException { dataFile.createNewFile(); DataOutputStream out = new DataOutputStream(new FileOutputStream(dataFile)); out.writeInt(number); } public int getNumber() throws IOException { DataInputStream in = new DataInputStream(new FileInputStream(dataFile)); return in.readInt(); } } } In this code the folder is sent as a parameter into the server so that the server can create a working directory to store data. However this does not work because Junit processes the rules in reverse order as they are defined in the file. The TemporaryFolder Rule will not be executed before the server Rule. Thus the root-folder in TempraryFolder will be null, resulting that any files are created relative to the current working directory. If I reverse the order of the attributes in my class I get a compile error because I cannot reference a variable before it is defined. I'm using Junit 4.8.1 (because the ordering of rules was fixed a bit from the 4.7 release)

  • ActionScript: Determine wether superclass implements a particular interface?

    - by David Wolever
Is there any non-hacky way to determine wether a class' superclass implements a particular interface? For example, assume I've got: class A extends EventDispatcher implements StuffHolder { private var myStuff = someKindOfStuff; public function getStuff():Array { if (super is StuffHolder) // <<< this doesn't work return super['getStuff']().concat([myStuf]); return [myStuff]; } class B extends A { private var myStuff = anotherKindOfStuff; } How could I perform that super is StuffHolder test in a way that, well, works? In this case, it always returns true.

  • got a question about Linked-List in java code.

    - by glacier89
Linked-List: Mirror Consider the following private class for a node of a singly-linked list of integers: private class Node{ public int value; public Node next; } A wrapper-class, called, ListImpl, contains a pointer, called start to the first node of a linked list of Node. Write an instance-method for ListImpl with the signature: public void mirror(); That makes a reversed copy of the linked-list pointed to by start and appends that copy to the end of the list. So, for example the list: start 1 2 3 after a call to mirror, becomes: start 1 2 3 3 2 1 Note: in your answer you do not need to dene the rest of the class for ListImpl just the mirror method.

  • Is it good to subclass a class only to separate some functional parts?

    - by prostynick
Suppose we have abstract class A (all examples in C#) public abstract class A { private Foo foo; public A() { } public void DoSomethingUsingFoo() { //stuff } public void DoSomethingElseUsingFoo() { //stuff } //a lot of other stuff... } But we are able to split it into two classes A and B: public abstract class A { public A() { } //a lot of stuff... } public abstract class B : A { private Foo foo; public B() : base() { } public void DoSomethingUsingFoo() { //stuff } public void DoSomethingElseUsingFoo() { //stuff } //nothing else or just some overrides of A stuff } That's good, but we are 99.99% sure, that no one will ever subclass A, because functionality in B is very important. Is it still good to have two separate classes only to split some code into two parts and to separate functional elements?

  • PowerPoint.Application not raising events in C#

    - by AdmSteck
I have a simple application written in C# and .Net 2.0 that displays several PowerPoint 2003 files in a loop. (It is going to be used for a information board in our cafeteria) The application works fine on my development machine but when I deploy it to another machine the events I have registered for SlideShowNextSlide and PresentationClose are never fired. I have tried registering the events with this method. private void InitPPT() { app.SlideShowNextSlide += new Microsoft.Office.Interop.PowerPoint.EApplication_SlideShowNextSlideEventHandler(app_SlideShowNextSlide); app.PresentationClose += new Microsoft.Office.Interop.PowerPoint.EApplication_PresentationCloseEventHandler(app_PresentationClose); app.SlideShowEnd += new Microsoft.Office.Interop.PowerPoint.EApplication_SlideShowEndEventHandler(app_PresentationClose); } And with this method that I found here: private void InitPPT() { IConnectionPointContainer oConnPointContainer = (IConnectionPointContainer)app; Guid guid = typeof(Microsoft.Office.Interop.PowerPoint.EApplication).GUID; oConnPointContainer.FindConnectionPoint(ref guid, out m_oConnectionPoint); m_oConnectionPoint.Advise(this, out m_Cookie); } Do I need to register some dll's on the client machine or am I missing something.

  • Is this a legitimate implementation of a 'remember me' function for my web app?

    - by user246114
Hi, I'm trying to add a "remember me" feature to my web app to let a user stay logged in between browser restarts. I think I got the bulk of it. I'm using google app engine for the backend which lets me use java servlets. Here is some pseudo-code to demo: public class MyServlet { public void handleRequest() { if (getThreadLocalRequest().getSession().getAttribute("user") != null) { // User already has session running for them. } else { // No session, but check if they chose 'remember me' during // their initial login, if so we can have them 'auto log in' // now. Cookie[] cookies = getThreadLocalRequest().getCookies(); if (cookies.find("rememberMePlz").exists()) { // The value of this cookie is the cookie id, which is a // unique string that is in no way based upon the user's // name/email/id, and is hard to randomly generate. String cookieid = cookies.find("rememberMePlz").value(); // Get the user object associated with this cookie id from // the data store, would probably be a two-step process like: // // select * from cookies where cookieid = 'cookieid'; // select * from users where userid = 'userid fetched from above select'; User user = DataStore.getUserByCookieId(cookieid); if (user != null) { // Start session for them. getThreadLocalRequest().getSession() .setAttribute("user", user); } else { // Either couldn't find a matching cookie with the // supplied id, or maybe we expired the cookie on // our side or blocked it. } } } } } // On first login, if user wanted us to remember them, we'd generate // an instance of this object for them in the data store. We send the // cookieid value down to the client and they persist it on their side // in the "rememberMePlz" cookie. public class CookieLong { private String mCookieId; private String mUserId; private long mExpirationDate; } Alright, this all makes sense. The only frightening thing is what happens if someone finds out the value of the cookie? A malicious individual could set that cookie in their browser and access my site, and essentially be logged in as the user associated with it! On the same note, I guess this is why the cookie ids must be difficult to randomly generate, because a malicious user doesn't have to steal someone's cookie - they could just randomly assign cookie values and start logging in as whichever user happens to be associated with that cookie, if any, right? Scary stuff, I feel like I should at least include the username in the client cookie such that when it presents itself to the server, I won't auto-login unless the username+cookieid match in the DataStore. Any comments would be great, I'm new to this and trying to figure out a best practice. I'm not writing a site which contains any sensitive personal information, but I'd like to minimize any potential for abuse all the same, Thanks

  • Any homologue of InternalsVisibleToAttribute, but for internal classes?

    - by Will Marcouiller
In my most recent question: Unit Testing Best Practice? / C# InternalsVisibleTo() attribute for VBNET 2.0 while testing?, I was asking about InternalsVisibleToAttribute. I have read the documentation on how to use it, and everything is fine and understood. However, I can't instantiate my class Groupe from my Testing project. I want to be able to instantiate my internal class in my wrapper assembly, from my testing assembly. Any help is appreciated! EDIT Here's the compile-time error I get when I do try to instantiate my type: Erreur 2 'Carra.Exemples.Blocs.ActiveDirectory.Groupe' n'est pas accessible dans ce contexte, car il est 'Private'. C:\Open\Projects\Exemples\Src\Carra.Exemples.Blocs.ActiveDirectory\Carra.Exemples.Blocs.ActiveDirectory.Tests\GroupeTests.vb 9 18 Carra.Exemples.Blocs.ActiveDirectory.Tests (This says that my type is not accessible in this context, because it is private.) But it's Friend (internal)!

I did some digging in Android code, and saw the use of in the indeterminate progress bar. after trying to create my own drawable with this tag: <animated-rotate xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:drawable="@drawable/spinner_pia" android:pivotX="50%" android:pivotY="50%" android:framesCount="12" android:frameDuration="100" /> I get an error: "No resource identifier found for attribute 'frameDuration' in package 'android'" - which means that frameDuration is a private attribute. Is there a way to use this "animate-rotate" feature? My task is to replace the system's default indeterminate progress bar. I'd like to do it with as little code as possible (just change few attributes if possible). Using the ProgressBar view, setting: android:indeterminateOnly="true" android:indeterminateBehavior="cycle" android:indeterminateDuration="3500" android:indeterminateDrawable="@drawable/pia_sivuvator" and point "@drawable/pia_sivuvator" to that object would've make my task as elegant as they come but I'm stuck on those private attributes. help?
