  • loading data from file into 2d array

    I am just starting with perl and would like some help with arrays please. I am reading lines from a data file and splitting the line into fields: open (INFILE, $infile); do { my $linedata = <INFILE>; my @data= split ',',$linedata; .... } until eof; I then want to store the individual field values (in @data) in and array so that the array looks like the input data file ie, the first "row" of the array contains the first line of data from INFILE etc. Each line of data from the infile contains 4 values, x,y,z and w and once the data are all in the array, I have to pass the array into another program which reads the x,y,z,w and displays the w value on a screen at the point determined by the x,y,z value. I can not pas the data to the other program on a row-by-row basis as the program expects the data to in a 2d matrtix format. Any help greatly appreciated. Chris

    I installed SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition on Windows 7 Ultimate from sadegh user. This account exists in administrators role. after a few days I removed sadegh user from Windows and now I am using administrator user. But I can't login to SQL Server database engine using Windows authentication method and I receive this error message: TITLE: Connect to Server Cannot connect to SADEGH-PC. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Login failed for user 'Sadegh-PC\Administrator'.   • Jboss logging issue - pl check this as its very urgent

    Actually my issue is , our application is deployed on jboos As 4.0x, we face some issues in jboss logging.. whenever the server is restarted, jboss stops logging , and there is no update in server.log. After that it is not updating the log file. then we do touch cmd on log4j.xml, so that it creates the log files again. Please help me in fixing the issue we cant do touch everytine. we face this issue in both the nodes. I could not figure where the problem is? If any other issues, we can check the log files. If log itself is not getting updated/logged, how can we move further in analysing the issues without the recent/updated logs.. please help me..

  • Can I align the text in a C# balloon tip ?

    Hello, I wrote a little C# program that displays text in a balloon tip from time to time. When the text is in English, there's no problem : Everything is aligned to the left and is readable, but sometimes I have some Hebrew text and a left alignment of a RTL language gets all screwy. I was wondering if there's a way to right-align the Hebrew text ? Google pointed me to articles that can help me change the balloon color and font, but none of them have an alignment argument. Is it even possible ? Any help will be appropriated. John

  • When to choose LAMP over ASP.NET?

    Hello. A friend wants to start a dating website, she wants me to help her. We still haven't discussed on what platform it'll be developed, but I'm thinking she'll suggest LAMP to save a buck (which is one reason already to chose over ASP.NET already). If the dating website does well, it'll potentially hold a large amount of data (I'm not sure if this would be another reason to consider either ASP.NET or LAMP). Anyway, I ask this from an ASP.NET developer point of view. I have very little, almost null experience with LAMP, and I don't like it very much either, so if she decides to go with PHP odds are I won't help her. So what would be some good points to bring up when deciding which platform to develop on? Please be objective, I don't want this to be argumentative or anything, try to stick to facts, not opinions alone. Thanks!

    Firstly, sorry for my english. I´m brazilian guy that is improving yet. I want create a helper tag called "collection_cascading_select". That helper is similar to "collection_select", but he has one more argument called "source". The "source" is the other collection in the view. Ever that other option is select in the "source", a javascript function needs run to gets his value. Then populate the "collection_cascading_select" collection agreed of that value. That gets confusing ?!? Sorry... But help me! I'm one week in this problem and my brazilian brothers don´t are help me. THANKS!

  • Problem in getting contents of formula based cell using JXL api in JAVA

    Hello, I am facing a problem while getting contents of cell using JXL api, if I am using formula in xls sheet. Right now I am using formula - IF($L10="","",+ROUND($L10*1.375,3)) in each cell but when the cell value is blank i am getting junk charactes when i call cell.getContents() method, the code snip is as follows - Workbook = Workbook.getWorkbook(p_sourceFile); excelsheet = workbook.getSheet(0); for (int row = 1; row < noOfRows; row++) { cell = excelsheet.getCell(col, row); content = cell.getContents(); System.out.println("content-" + content); //Is giving me junk character ? when the cell value is blank. ...   • eConnect timesheet entry multicurrency issue

    Hello, I'm trying to use econnect to insert TimeSheet Entry batches from an external system via "taPATimeSheetLineInsert". When using the fuctionnal currency everything works fine. The problem is that when I use another currency, the ACCRUED REVENUES are set to 0. I tried to enter the same entry manually in GP and the accrued revenues are OK. When you take a look at it in the UI everything is the same in both timesheet entryes. (I specifed the currency id which is different from the functionnal currency and I provide a PAUNITCOST as requested by eConnect.) If I look into the PA10001 TABLE, there are differences between the record inserted manually and the one inserted with eConnect as the value of "PA_Base_Billing_Rate" and "PAORIGBSBILLRTE" are set to 0. The ACCRUED REVENUE COLUMN is evidently different as well. There is no option in taPATimeSheetLineInsert that can help me so I don't know what to do to make it work! Please help!

    Hi. After spending SEVERAL frustrated hours on this I am asking for your help. I am trying to get the content of particular nodes from a SOAP response. (the second link has htp:// as a newbie here I cannot post more than one link) Even writing, $XmlArray = new SimpleXMLElement($XmlStr); echo "<br /><br /><pre>\n"; print_r($XmlArray); echo "<pre><br /><br />\n"; gives SimpleXMLElement Object ( ) which makes me wonder if the soap response ($XmlStr) is actually a valid input for SimpleXMLElement. It seems that the line $XmlArray = new SimpleXMLElement($XmlStr); is not doing what I expect it to. Any help on how to get the nodes from the XML above would be very welcome. Obviously getting it to work (having a working example) is what I need in the short term, but if someone could help me understand what I am doing wrong would be better in the long term. Cheers. Stu

However i tried ´output method="xml"´. but it doesnot help.. PHP returns always the data as text or html but not in XML.. what i am doing wrong. I only want to edit the XML with xslt and save back to XML (file). THanks for your help!

Who could help me so it also strips /** and the final slash /? Any help would be greatly appreciated! P.S: If, for instance, the commentlbock would contain something like /** * @foo Here's some slashes for ya: / and \ */ Then obviously the slashes after @foo may not be stripped. The reult would have to be: @foo Here's some slashes for ya: / and \ I hope there's a regex guru out there :-)

    Netbeans seems to say in several places that it supports a library to just host the "Netbeans editor" widget in some other program. It has some weird documentation that seems to say a lot, but doesn't really say much about how to use it: http://bits.netbeans.org/dev/javadoc/org-netbeans-modules-editor-lib2/architecture-summary.html I can't seem to find any download for the "Netbeans editor library" (1 or 2), and the documentation they provide says to download the entire mercurial repository, which doesn't really help me, since it doesn't tell me what is part of this "library" and what is not. If someone could point me to a download for this library, or some minimal documentation about how to use it, that would be great. I've already seen the blog post here, but it doesn't really help with getting the library, and it seems to be talking about classes which I can't find in the Netbeans sources I downloaded (Maybe a different version?)

  • REST, caching, and authorizing with multiple user roles

    We have a system with multiple different levels of access--sometimes even for the same user as they switch between multiple roles. We're beginning a discussion on moving over to a RESTful implementation of things. I'm just starting to get my feet wet with the whole REST thing. So how do I go about limiting access to the correct records when they access a resource, particularly when taking caching into consideration? If user A access example.com/employees they would receive a different response than user B; user A may even receive a different response as he switches to a different role. To help facilitate caching, should the id of the role be somehow incorporated into the uri? Maybe something like example.com/employees/123 (which violates the rules of REST), or as some sort of subordinate resource like example.com/employees/role/123 (which seems silly, since role/### is going to be appended to URIs all over the place). I can help but think I'm missing something here.
