• What is the best tool to achieve this API design?

  Our web app offers a service that allows a "Publisher" to create a website (we give them a CMS system) that is ready to provide this service to "Members" (think Shopify). We have some possible clients that wish to become "Publishers" but they already have existing websites (vbulletin, word press blog, etc) with their own user base. We wish to develop an API that would allow these "Publishers" to keep using their own websites, and embed our services into them. Our main business requirement is that once "Members" are logged into the "Publishers" existing system, they should be able to also access our website without having to log-in again OR have to create another account there. The process should be seamless to the "Member" and "Publishers" should not have to sync their user base with our system. We also want to use an existing API authentication/authorization system instead of creating our own (OAuth, OpenID, etc) What would be the best way to use OAuth to achieve this sigle-sign on design? If OAuth is not the best tool, is there any other one out there that fits our requirements?

• Redirecting user from an old web to another in Sharepoint

  Hi all: I want to add the ability to redirect users when they visit certain old sites. The URL of the old sites are unknown, but the server name is the same, e.g. Old site url: http://sharepoint/mySite/default.aspx New site url: http://sharepoint/myNewSite/... There are a lot of other pages within mySite, most of which must be redirected to the new site, but there are exceptions (e.g. user can still view the documents within the site). I thought I have to do this programmatically by somehow capturing the http request and read the url myself. Being no sharepoint guru, I had a quick google, and found that writing a web part is prehaps the best alternative for my situation. But I'm just wondering, given my situation and needs, is writing a web part, or something programmatically, really the ideal solution? Or is there a faster and quicker way to achieve what I want using Sharepoint? Thanks.

  Guys; Hope you are fine. I have to make a Web Project (very simple) I will have a DB with 2 tables. One table has 2 fields. From the WebPage I need a Google like search query, for example I have Movie Title and Movie Review on the Table. I need to be able to search those 2 fields like this: "Best Movie" + Action I will need to make a query to the DB to search for the "Best Movie" string togheter plus optional ACTION word on 2 fields of the table. Am I clear??? :) Does somebody know if this has already been made, and if it´s public and free and where to get it :) Thanks in advanced EDIT: My concern is to translate the Google like Symbols ("", +, -, ~) to build a valid query.

• How to prevent Spell checking code in MS Office?

  We use MS Office. Outlook for emails, Word for some documentation and I use OneNote a lot for my own note taking. What bugs me is when I drop some code or use key words or even camel case into these apps the spell checking picks them up and I have red squiggles everywhere. Ignore is pretty much useless, so either I have to turn off Spell Check altogether start adding these to the custom dictionary. What would be good is if I can use the Set Language function to mark a whole block of text to just not be spell checked. Has anyone found a nice solution to this or do you know of a blank dictionary is best to use? I found using "Mohawk" kind of does that... might just use that for now. Maybe create a macro to switch between them.

• Full text search for irregular rapper names with Solr

  I'm implementing full text search functionality on my rap website, and I'm running into some issues with rapper and song names. For example, someone might want to search for the rapper "Cam'ron" using the query "camron" (leaving out the mid-word apostrophe). Likewise, someone might search for the song "3 Peat" using the query "3peat". "The Notorious B.I.G." is a bit of a weird case: both "The Notorious BIG" and "The Notorious B.I.G." both work (I guess because the solr.StandardFilterFactory removes dots from acronyms?), but "The Notorious B.I.G" (i.e., minus the trailing dot) doesn't. Ideally all reasonable variations of these names should work. I'm guessing the answer has something to do with the solr.WordDelimiterFilterFactory, but I'm not sure. Also, I'm using Sunspot with Rails if that's relevant.

If I enter a string James Bond then I want that to be stored in array a. But the problem is because of presence of a blank space in between only James word is stored. So how can I solve this one. UPDATE After the replies given below I understand fgets() would be a better choice. I want to know internal working of fgets as why is it able to store the string with space where as scanf is not able to do the same.

  I have been banging my head with this one more the two weeks, and still don't know what the problem is ( I can't narrow it down). The problem is the following. I have a solution with 3 project in it all written in c# and I with LINQ. One project is the main web site, the other is the data layer (communication with the database) and the third one is a custom little CMS. The problem is the following: On a hosting provider when I publish the site it all works perfectly, but this site was needed to be hosted on the client server so I needed to do that. But the problem is that I also needed to configure the client server, because they don't have an Administrator employed (I know, I know ;) ). For the first time I some how managed, to set it up but a problem appear. My main web site is working just as it suppose to be - it reads (communicates with) the database, but My CMS is not. While searching a text inside a Listbox if that matching string is found anywhere in the list it should show in Green color with Bold. eg. I have string collection like "Dependency Property, Custom Property, Normal Property". If I type in the Search Text box "prop" all the Three with "prop" (only the word Prop) should be in Bold and its color should be in green. Any idea how it can be done?. • Mapping words to numbers with respect to definition

  As part of a larger project, I need to read in text and represent each word as a number. For example, if the program reads in "Every good boy deserves fruit", then I would get a table that converts 'every' to '1742', 'good' to '977513', etc. Now, obviously I can just use a hashing algorithm to get these numbers. However, it would be more useful if words with similar meanings had numerical values close to each other, so that 'good' becomes '6827' and 'great' becomes '6835', etc. As another option, instead of a simple integer representing each number, it would be even better to have a vector made up of multiple numbers, eg (lexical_category, tense, classification, specific_word) where lexical_category is noun/verb/adjective/etc, tense is future/past/present, classification defines a wide set of general topics and specific_word is much the same as described in the previous paragraph. Does any such an algorithm exist? If not, can you give me any tips on how to get started on developing one myself? I code in C++.

• Create a Stream without having a physical file to create from.

  I'm needing to create a zip file containing documents that exist on the server. I am using the .Net Package class to do so, and to create a new Package (which is the zip file) I have to have either a path to a physical file or a stream. I am trying to not create an actual file that would be the zip file, instead just create a stream that would exist in memory or something. My question is how do you instantiate a new Stream (i.e. FileStream, MemoryStream, etc) without having a physical file to instantiate from.

I am very confused by this, I thought that the output of the flashlog.txt file should be the same as that of the consul of FlashBuilder.And I don't think I have added such a stupid trace in my code. The question is how can I find out where these "normal" trace come from and how to remove it. This problem is resolved by restarting the computer as suggested.

• Determine if a specific activity in an application can be launched...

  Applications can have any number of launchable activities. I know how to get the list of these activities via PackageManager. Is there a way to determine which activities can be launched via startActivity? For example, the Documents To Go app has different activities that will start Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF, etc... I am able to launch all o these just fine. However, it also contains some activities that I am not able to launch with startActivity... If I attempt to do this I get a SecurityException. I want to be able to determine which activities I can safely launch and which I cannot so I only present the user with a list of activities that I can safely launch from within my application... Is this possible?

  I'm trying to set the scroll vertical position of a spark dataGrid to show the items as I add them to the grid. I know you can set the scroll position like this: dataGrid.scroller.viewport.verticalScrollPosition = itemPosition*rowHeight; The problem is that the dataGrid have variableRowHeight, as each row word wraps their name labels, and I don't know how to get each row height. I though of getting the itemRenderer associated with every item as I add it to the grid, and keep the total row height value in a variable, but don't know how to achieve that. Is there any way to set the scroll position of a dataGrid with variableRowHeight to show the last added item?

  If I do the following: int c0 = CHAR_MAX; //8 bit int c1 = CHAR_MAX; //8-bit int i = c0*c1; //store in 32-bit variable printf("%d\n", i); //prints 16129 We can see that there is no problem with to 8-bit numbers being multiplied together, and producing a 32-bit output. However, if I do int i0 = INT_MAX; //32-bit int i1 = INT_MAX; //32 bit variable long long int ll = i0*i1; //store in 64-bit variable printf("%lld\n", ll); //prints 1..overflow!! In this case, two 32-bit variables were multiplied together, overflowed, and then were assigned to the 64-bit variable. So why did this overflow happen when multiplying the ints, but not the chars? Is it dependent on the default word-size of my machine? (32-bits)

  Imagine a "search box" on the right top side of the UI Windows Application. When user types a desired action, a matching functionality is executed. Screen gets opened, or action gets performed. For example: user types "create" and intellisence offered next word options "client"/"product", user picks "client", and "Create New Client" screen opens up. So what I am looking for if there is a framework support for this. I assume that framework shall bind together text commands names, commands and show in intellisense. Same framework possibly could have been used in alternative "Command Line interface". I recall Microsoft had some recent framework that helps to setup "command Line Interface" environmental. It is hard to search on web for this keywords, so relying on intelligent help from you guys. Thanks in advance.

  So what I am trying to do is post an image that has been created by a user on an iphone into that users newsfeed. The functionality I am having a hard time understanding if it is possible: Can I pass a local NSURL (or URL?)(to a png file that lives in the documents folder) through a JSON string and onto Facebook? i want to mimic the action of a user going to his/her facebook page, clicking into the textfield for their newsfeeld, uploading an image by clicking the "photos" icon and selecting an image from a local disk and uploading it. I would also like to add some text into the post optionally.   We have a .Net application that is used for editing/rendering customized HTML documents. It is hosted in IE using the AxSHDocVw.AxWebBrowser controls. We proceed with navigating to "about:blank" page initially then we change the Document by writing our custom values into it. The problem we are facing is the call to IHTMLTxtRange.execCommand("Copy",false,null) is failing if we don't enable the IE Security Settings in the Internet Security zone (Scripting-Allow Programmatic Access to Clipboard ). In order to bypass the security setting ,I tried to point to a local html file initially while navigating. But this fails as soon as I modify the Document. I want to use the IHTMLTxtRange.execCommand("Copy",false,null) command so that I can customize our Copy/Paste operations. Is there any other way I can do this. Please share your ideas inorder to overcome this situation. Thanks. Sriram

  I have a third-party (Win32) DLL, written in C, that exposes the following interface: DLL_EXPORT typedef enum { DEVICE_PCI = 1, DEVICE_USB = 2 } DeviceType; DLL_EXPORT int DeviceStatus(DeviceType kind); I wish to call it from Delphi. How do I get access to the DeviceType constants in my Delphi code? Or, if I should just use the values 1 and 2 directly, what Delphi type should I use for the "DeviceType kind" parameters? Integer? Word?

• [Android SDK] Text-To-Speech addSpeech not working properly

  Hi, I'm trying to get my Android app to play a .wav file recording of the word "Spinach Salad" whenever it sees that phrase being spoken by TTS. Here's the relevant code: spinach_salad.wav is located in /res/raw prodName = "Spinach Salad" mTts.addSpeech(prodName, "com.example.textextractor", R.raw.spinach_salad); ...and later in the code: mTts.speak("blah blah blah " + prodName, TextToSpeech.QUEUE_ADD, null); I've also tried: mTts.speak("blah blah blah Spinach Salad", TextToSpeech.QUEUE_ADD, null); and mTts.speak("blah blah blah", TextToSpeech.QUEUE_ADD, null); mTts.speak(productName_str, TextToSpeech.QUEUE_ADD, null); In both cases, I'm just hearing the TTS synthesized audio, rather than my custom .wav file. (On a related note, the last chunk of code sometimes speaks out of order, saying the second line before the first).

  I'm not sure whether this topics has been disscussed before or not, but I'm not sure the exact word to search for it. What method/class should I use? The program has 3 buttons: 1) for folder browsing, 2) scan for the selected folder content, and 3) open the file. When user browse the selected folder*(1), user click scan button to scan from the first file until the last available files and listed it text box(2)* and from that user can decide whether to open the files or not*(3)*.
