The problem I am running into is dynamically launching the executable based on the path where it was just built to, including the configuration(x86, x64). Is there any way to get the path to an executable in a referenced project so that I can launch the application dynamically from my test project?

    I have a wxPython application I'm bundling into an exe using py2exe. I've defined an icon in the setup.py file using the following: setup( windows=[ { 'script': 'myapp.py', 'icon_resources': [(1, 'myicon.ico')] }, ], ) This works, but I'd like to be able to access that icon from my wxPython application and use it as the window icon that appears in the top right. Currently I'm using the following to load the icon from the file system: icon = wx.Icon('myicon.ico', wx.BITMAP_TYPE_ICO, 16, 16) self.SetIcon(icon) Which works, but requires that the icon sit beside the EXE, rather than bundled inside it.

    Hello, I'm trying to build a .Net application to interrogate Active Directory. From my research, Windows 2008 R2 has Active Directory Web Services (ADWS) built in. I can't find any details or examples anywhere on the web which tell me whether I should be able to use ADWS in a .Net application to read/write AD information.     What are the advantages/disadvantages in placing a lengthy network access code in a thread in an activity or a thread in a service? How would it affect the application? The name that I wrote to "Display bundle name" in info.plist is shown both on iTunes and iPhone, is there any way to separate them? My second question is: how can I change the genre of my application? Now it's "Unknown Genre".

I would like visitors to the sub directory (the virtual application) to be promtped for credentials using the same Forms autheentication set up on the main parent site Have tried all sorts of things but can't get it to work including Removing all ,, and sections from the virtual-app web.config Copying the same ,, and sections from the parent to the virtual-app web.config Using a virtual directory instead of virtual application But I never get promted for credentials Anyone know how to get this setup? thanks

  • Strange threads in application in Win7 WOW64

    We are observing 4-6 threads on Windows 7 x64 in the application which have 3 threads and behaves normally on any Windows (either 32 or 64 bit) prior Windows 7. Process Explorer shows the following "unknown" thread: ntdll.dll!EtwDeliverDataBlock+offset after random interval the following threads appear: ntdll.dll!TpCallbackIndependent+offset ntdll.dll!TpCallbackIndependent+offset after that application can't create thread (error code 8, hot enough space ...). It seems to me that some system DLL creates ETW threads or something. Does anyone know what these threads for and how to manage them?

    Hi guys, I've a doubt. How can I configure my application to use www.mysite.com/myfolder instead of www.mysite.com/myfile.php? I need to a create a profile page for every user registered to my PHP application but it's not so clear how can I do that.
