Our system is written completely in PHP.
For various business reasons (which are a given) I need to build the reports of the system using JasperReports.
What architecture should I use? Should I put the Jasper as a stand alone server (if possible) and let the php query against it, should I have it generate the reports with a cron, and then let the PHP scoop up the files and send them to the web client/browser...
Last some days Google blocked my site in fire fox web browser. I passed all the test, but site files have no virus and other effected things. Please help me to solve the problem.
I want to make video/audio chat(both one-to-one and chatroom) available on my website through web browser, and no download required. What's the available solutions out there? And what are their pros and cons?

I have a Gridview that shows a list of files previously uploaded to the server with a HyperLink control to be able to download it, I need to force a download every time the user clicks on one of the provided links, so that the file does not open directly on the browser (they are usually images). Currently I have a side-server function that forces a download, but I do not know how to assign this function to each one of the links when the user clicks on it.
I want to save log out time when user close the Browser without clicking log out button using asp.net with C# and SQL server 2005.

[Participant Table [1994]] Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_CANNOTACQUIRECONNECTIONFROMCONNECTIONMANAGER. The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "I:\My Documents\Flamm Consulting\Migrations.accdb" failed with error code 0xC0209303. There may be error messages posted before this with more information on why the AcquireConnection method call failed.
Frankly, I'm confused about how SSIS should connect to Access 2007 - the UI just isn't very friendly - there's no file browser, for example. I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my install - missing drivers, etc.
before somebody screaming RTFM, let me clarify.
does system.totalMemory test the memory used in movie which invokes it, or used by all movies running on the browser/system?
I want to initiate garbage collaction for my app when it reaches a certain limit and i dont want the process to be initialized by the user watching funny cats youtube video.
When I look at gmail on my mobile web browser the password textbox hashes the characters as I type so I can see the actual input as I type before is hashed with an asterisk.
So as I enter it becomes, P -- *a -- **s etc..
How is this done? I presume its javascript? If somone can point me in the right direction that would be great.
Hii,
I have an 'Attach image button' in my web page, I don't want see the the file upload control in my page. On the click of the 'Attach image button' it will directly shows the browser's directory window and select the file from that and can directly uploads to the server. Does any body knows how it is possible
In HTML5 there is a new input type, 'search'.
On most browser it's just remain to a simple 'text' input, but for webkit based browsers, it adds a little cross to reset the input.
I'd like to be able to handle this, is there an event for that ?
I want to create a backend for my android app with Tapestry5 and this http://code.google.com/p/t5-restful-webservices/ plugin.
The app will communicate with the server by calling REST methods both for registered users (that would be easy to secure I guess) as well as unregistered users.
Now of course I don't want people to just call that webservice from a browser.
How can I make sure that only my app can make calls to this backend?
I have tried using iframe, javascript and image tag Ad tags in iPhone application, but none of them work. When a user clicks on an image, the browser is launched but then nothing happens (you get a blank page). Anyone know how to proceed?
is there any way to "wait for user action on popupmenu" after an element is clicked ?
for example:
person A clicks on link.
javascript menu popups asking what the user would like to do with this link.
user should not be allowed to click anywhere else but the popup menu.
after user clicks an action on the menu, the default browser action should happen (ie. link to the next page)
Is it possible for my python web app to provide an option the for user to automatically send jobs to the locally connected printer? Or will the user always have to use the browser to manually print out everything.
I have an entry in my hosts file that points somesite.com to 127.0.0.1 (localhost) so that I can test certain aspects of my web app (i goto http://somesite.com in a browser to test). Can someone suggest a way to debug a setup like this (in visual studio) that does not include using http://localhost?
I understand that this can most likely be done using remote debugger, if that is the best way can someone explain how thats setup (or a link to a good article).
I have a JQuery dialog box on a page that calls something like this:
$.post("/MyController/MyAction", { myKey: key} //...
And this successfully gets here:
[HttpPost]
public ActionResult MyAction(int myKey)
{
//do some stuff
return RedirectToAction("AnotherAction");
}
The problem is that the RedirectToAction has no effect on the webbrowser. I am guessing this is because the JQuery post is kinda on a different 'tread' so it doesn't know where to send the response? How do I get the browser to load the new response?
Based on http://mark.mymonster.nl/2009/02/28/integration-of-browsers-unloading-with-silverlight/ I know when the user closes a browser window containing Silverlight, by use of javascript. This basically creates a popup window, where the user can stay on the page(by clicking CANCEL), or exit the page (by clicking OK).
I am interested in how I can determine if the user wants to exit the page, or continue to stay on the page.
Not sure about you guys, but I detest working in CSS. Not that it is a bad language/markup, don't get me wrong. I just hate spending hours figuring out how to get 5 pixels to show on every browser, and getting fonts to look like a PSD counterpart.
So a question (or two) for programmers out there. How much time (%) do you spend on web markup? Do you tend to do this type of tweaking, or do your designers?
I'm in the process of creating a responsive site (currently only working on the main content.)
I've created two floated divs with percentage based widths. One contains an image which resizes with the browser resizing. The image has a min-width of 100px.
Can anyone tell me why when put into a mobile sized width it doesn't drop down? How can I make the image stack underneath the text?

Does the the Flash/flex development die because of the HTML5? flash is the main need to play the multimedia activities on the browser. HTML5 includes this video playing option just with the tag. Everybody knows flash content takes time to load initially.So what about the Future of Flash and Flex development people?
