Why is awstats reporting my static IP instead of Domain Name?

In AWStats under: "Links from an external page (other web sites except search engines)" it has generated a list of pages that had linked to my page. I see pages like: Bing, YouTube, HotFrog, etc.. However, there are many internal links within the pages. CD/DVD cataloging software?

I'm looking for freeware, or preferably open source CD/DVD cataloging applications. Right now I'm testing http://www.gentibus.com/us/Download.htm, anyone got any other suggestions? I'd like the software to be actively maintained and not released and left behind. I'm looking for software which allows me to catalog, sort, search my DVDs/CDs into databases. Like I've 1 group of 10 dvds only with Fonts etc. I want to read the content into a Database called "Fonts'". Another group of 5 DVD's with Stockimages, and I want to read all 5 DVDs into the Database "Stock Images". Then I want this software to be able to open Database "Stock Images", I want to be able to browse DVD 1 - 5 and to see DVD 1 - 5's contents without having the DVD's in the optical drive.

Hiera + Puppet classes

I'm trying to figure out Puppet (3.0) and how it relates to built-in Hiera. EDIT: I just left the office but a thought struck me: I should probably restart puppet master so it can see the new hiera.conf. I'll try that on Monday; in the meantime, if anyone figures out some not-it problem, I'd appreciate it :)

Obtaining list of files from php script?

Naenara/KCCKP offers a catalog of hundreds of mp3 files that can only be downloaded in small amounts at a time. Clicking on a song title invokes mp3player.php and downloads a plaintext link to the mp3 file: http://www.kcckp.net/mp3player.php?e+8 Going directly to mp3player.php will display Korean error messages and send you back 1 page in your history. Is there any way to parse/coax mp3player.php into dumping a full list of mp3 links? I am sorry if this is a painfully easy or impossible task, I have not even begun to delve into php. </newbiewhining>

Windows Server 2008 R2 Domain Controller DNS Reverse lookup zone needed?

When I create a new Domain Controller with dcpromo then the wizard will also add a DNS Role to the server because the first domain controller must be the global catalog server for the forest. After the install when I look at the DNS then I see the forward lookup zone for the newly created domain. However no zone is created for the Reverse lookup zone. So my question is: Is this an advisable endresult or not? In other words is it a good idea to add my domain to the reverse lookup zone as well? Just curious to hear how other people use this zone in the domain controller. Thanks

Does the password get sent in the clear when connecting to Sql-Server?

I was asked this today and I honestly did not know the answer. If you connect using a connection string without sspi to a server is there any way a 3rd party can intercept on the wire the password used to log in? "Data Source=MyServer;Initial Catalog=MyDatabase;User Id=sa;Password=CanThisBeSniffed;" I am not asking about MiTM attacks just someone listing on the same computer or on the same hub on the network with wireshark or something similar running. I fired up wireshark myself and did not see it in plain text but it could be a simple obfuscation or proper encryption, I just wanted to know which.

cannot at all find sql instance (while installing an asp.net app on IIS)

So I'm really not a DBA, I'm an app dev. I had to install my asp.net mvc3 app on my client's(a large company) IIS6 + Win2k3 machine, with absolutely no help from their sysadmins. The final problem now is SQL Server 2008 r2, after figuring out how to create a login from windows, my app and sqlcmd.exe always complains it cannot find a sql server instance!! I have all the sql services (in services.msc) running to Log On as the local system. I can login fine with SQL Server Management Studio with Windows Auth. I created my database, my asp.net app needs/uses windows auth. But for the love of God, whatever I do my app always complains it cannot find the instance. (Also tried running SQL CMD and it complains of the same thing too!) My data base connection string looks like this: Data Source=machinename\username;Initial Catalog=myDataStore;Integrated Security=True;MultipleActiveResultSets=True Machinename\user is the same thing that shows up on the sql server management studio login if I choose windows authentication right?

Can I connect my ipod's earphones to my computer?

My computer (recent model Dell z600) has 2 input devices on the front of the computer, 1 has an icon of headphones and the other is a Mic icon. When I plugin my earphones to the input device that has the headphones, and play some sound I don't hear anything from my earphones (sounds comes from built in speakers). I know when I plugin a USB headphone set, it switches over to those on but for some reason my earphones are not being picked up. Is it not compatible? Problem installing a w2k DC on Hyper-V?

Hi, We have a cluster with four node windows 2008 r2 and hyper-v installed. We would like to install 2 VM with role domain controller w2k (the domain is different from the domain of the hyper-v cluster). Do you know if there are any restriction on doing it? Some collegues say that we risk data corruption if we do live migrations. Others speak about the fact that Microsoft don't support w2k any more. And others have doubts because the global catalog server installed on these DC could have loss of performance. Any idea? Thanks Tony

How do I assign a MBP's Mission Control button (F3) for use in Windows 7?

I have a recent Mac Book Pro that I triple boot (OS X, Win7, BT5). I'd like to use the Mission Control button (F3) in Windows 7 on my MBP to call Dexpot's "Windows Catalog." Does anyone know of: 1) A setting in Windows (Registry adjustment, etc) that I could assign for this to work? 2) A setting in Dexpot that would configure this? 3) A piece of software that does this? My preference for the answer is in the order above. If I get multiple answers, the one that works, that is posted first, that does what 1) states, gets selected. If 1) won't work, I'll select from answers to 2), etc...

How to repair a Veritas tape that has been overwritten a bit?

I meant to restore some files, but I forgot that there was a monday backup job just waiting for tape loading. So veritas 10d started to write over my tape and that valuable data is now gone. The original data size was about 40 GB and that accidentally started job wrote about 30 MB to the begin of tape. What are my possibilities to recover some data from that tape? Update: Inventory and catalog doesn't help, media settings are overwrite, not append. It is a DLT drive.

I developed an app using C# and SQL Server Express 2012 with a local database, my connection string is"Data Source=localhost ; Initial Catalog = scalnet ; Integrated Security=SSPI; Trusted_Connection=Yes"; Everything worked ok till the time I made a setup and tried to install my app in another computer. My first question is: - What version of SQL should I install is this machine? it should be as ligth as possible. - I tried to install SQL exprees 2012 but it gives me an error when I execute my app "A network related or instance specific error occurred while establishing a ..... (provider:Named Pipes Provider, error:40 - Could not open a connection to SQL server." This probably should be a problem with the server configuration but I have no ideia how to solve this... Can anyone point me to the rigth direction ? ? Thanks

two shops network

okay so, I just opened up two shops in my hometown. The two stores is about 6 blocks apart, connecting them by wire is not really feasible in cost wise. What kind of network topology should I use for my small shops, there will be 5 computers, one is the sales computer ,another 4 as mentioned is the guest computer. I want the sales and guest computers network to be seperated. Both shops have same computers. The guest computers serves up simple website that has my shop catalog on it, I'm thinking of using a web server. So, how am i suppose to setup these networks, im planning to add in more computers in the future. Is it I need to station a single server at a shop, and all the computer connected to it? or is there any more effective methods? I'm no networking expert, would love to hear some advice.

Should I install an AV product on my domain controllers?

Should I run a server-specific antivirus, regular antivirus, or no antivirus at all on my servers, particularly my Domain Controllers? Here's some background about why I'm asking this question: I've never questioned that antivirus software should be running on all windows machines, period. Lately I've had some obscure Active Directory related issues that I have tracked down to antivirus software running on our domain controllers. The specific issue was that Symantec Endpoint Protection was running on all domain controllers. Occasionally, our Exchange server triggered a false-positive in Symantec's "Network Threat Protection" on each DC in sequence. After exhausting access to all DCs, Exchange began refusing requests, presumably because it could not communicate with any Global Catalog servers or perform any authentication. Outages would last about ten minutes at a time, and would occur once every few days. It took a long time to isolate the problem because it was not easily reproducible and generally investigation was done after the issue resolved itself.

During recovery Oracle writes the following error: RMAN-06054: media recovery requesting unknown log: thread 1 seq 9 lowscn 4034762 I have used in mount mode this command: change archivelog all crosscheck; delete expired archivelog all; Then restore and tried to recover again:But still RMAN-06054 error.Than I wrote: run{ SET UNTIL SEQUENCE 9 THREAD 1; RESTORE DATABASE; RECOVER DATABASE; } It helped me to recover database...But after that when I do the backup and then recover the same error occurs and solution is the same... I wonder to solve this problem without SET UNTIL SEQUENCE 9 THREAD 1; maybe I should unregister this archive log from control file(I am using control file not catalog) Can you tell me how?

I am trying to make sure a directory exists for a mount and then also update the permissions of that directory after the mount happens. JPA IndirectSet changes not reflected in Spring frontend

I'm having an issue with Spring JPA and IndirectSets. I have two entities, Parent and Child, defined below. I have a Spring form in which I'm trying to create a new Child and link it to an existing Parent, then have everything reflected in the database and in the web interface. What's happening is that it gets put into the database, but the UI doesn't seem to agree. I can persist new entities of these types and they'll appear when using the JPATemplate to do a find on, say, all Parents (getJpaTemplate().find("select p from Parent p")) or on individual entities by ID or another property. The problem I'm running into is that now, I'm trying to create a new Child linked to an existing Parent through a link from the Parent's page. What can I do to clear this up? I've tried to call extra merges, tried refreshes (which gave a transaction exception), everything short of just writing my own database access code. I've made sure that every class has an appropriate equals() and hashCode(), have full JPA debugging on to see that it's making appropriate SQL calls (it doesn't seem to make any new calls to the Child table) and stepped through in the debugger (it's all in IndirectSets, as expected, and between saving and displaying the Parent the object takes on a new memory address). What's my next step?

Primefaces tabview: set the active index on tab change

I've got a tab view that contains two tab. When I switch from tab 1 to tab 2, I'm calling some code that executes a validation and updates some values. Depending on the result of this validation, I would like to stay on tab 1, or go to tab 2, and refresh the tabs' content. My tabview: <h:form id="form"> <p:tabView id="tabview" activeIndex="#{ctrl.idx}" dynamic="true" cache="false"> <p:ajax event="tabChange" listener="#{ctrl.doStuff}" update=":form:tabview"/> <p:tab title="Tab 1" id="t1"> <h:panelGrid columns="1" cellpadding="10"> <h:outputText value="#{ctrl.s1}"/> </h:panelGrid> </p:tab> <p:tab title="Tab 2" id="t2"> <h:panelGrid columns="1" cellpadding="10"> <h:outputText value="#{ctrl.s2}"/> </h:panelGrid> </p:tab> </p:tabView> </h:form> My test code that simly changes the values: public void doStuff() { s1 = String.valueOf(Math.random()); s2 = String.valueOf(Math.random()); } I thought that changing the active tab index in my method would be enough, like that: public void doStuff() { // ... idx = 0; } On tabChange event, the method is called but the tabview components goes to the clicked tab, ignoring the idx new value. I thought adding an update attribute to p:ajax would render the whole tabview but only the tabs and/or the tabs' content is re rendered. And weirdest of all, if I change update=":form:tabview" to update=":form" or update="@form", I only receive the tab's content in the ajax response - the component disappears from the page! My bean is viewscoped, I'm using Primefaces 3.5, JSF 2.1 and Tomcat 7. Any idea? Thanks.

I have this code in a xml layout file: <reference name="left"> <block type="blog/blog" name="left.blog.menu" before="-"> <action method="setTemplate" ifconfig="blog/menu/left"> <template>aw_blog/menu.phtml</template> </action> <block type="blog/tags" name="blog_tags" /> </block> </reference> I want to add a cms static block to the blog pages using this code: <block type="cms/block" name="brand_list"> <action method="setBlockId"><block_id>brand_list</block_id></action> </block> If I add it in directly after this line: <reference name="left"> It works but it is then displayed on every page. How can I get it to show only on the blog pages? Thanks. I need you a TextWrapping in the WPF CheckBox. Please look at this two samples: <CheckBox> <TextBlock TextWrapping="Wrap" Text="_This is a long piece of text attached to a checkbox."/> </CheckBox> <CheckBox> <AccessText TextWrapping="Wrap" Text="_This is a long piece of text attached to a checkbox."/> </CheckBox> If I use a TextBlock in the Content of the CheckBox, the check element (vertical alignment is top) and the text displays properly, but not the accelerator. If I use an AccessText in the Content of the CheckBox, the check element displays wrong (vertical alignment is center). How to change the style of the elements to display this CheckBox correct?

Why?
