  Hi! I have a js function that is named getID which is basically return document.getElementById(id) I want to make another function, getTag that would return getElementsByTagName. The part that I can't seem to manage is that I want to be able to call them like this: getID('myid').getTag('input') = so this would return all the input elements inside the element with the id myid Thanks! ps: getTag would also have to work if it's called by it's own, but then it would just return document.getElementsByTagName

• Cross-Domain iframe communication

  I have an iframe being created on a page, and the page's domain is being explicitly set to 'xyz.com' but the iframe's domain is defaulting to 'dev.xyz.com', which is the actual domain i'm developing for. The problem is, when I try to access that iframe via iframe.contentWindow.document, it fails due to the difference in domain. I've tried setting the iframe's src to a file with document.domain = 'xyz.com' but that doesn't seem to be doing the trick... Any ideas?

The closest thing I have found to a document on how to do this is: http://www.agilejournal.com/pdf/Finding-ROI-in-Build-Automation.pdf There are formulas in this document, but I can't really tell if they are just alot of marketing or if they are accurate formulas on how to calculate ROI. I'm not really trying to calculate the ROI of the build tool in the above paper, I was just trying to calculate the ROI of a simple build tool like ANT.

  this website here: http://www.offpricecars.com/inventory2.html?F=C when you select a dropdown the record based on your selection is displayed. ive tried copying it to localhost and it wont work. ive also tryed reading its headers and cant seem to figure out how javascript is making the records display on selection. i do understand that its extension isnt really html and might be another but based on how its operating as a html file i cant seem to find anywhere on how its sending the string to show the records. thanks

  Just wondering if there was a nice (already implemented/documented) algorithm to do the following Given any shape (without crossing edges) and two points inside that shape, compute all the paths between the two points such that all reflections are perfect reflections. The path lengths should be limited to a certain length otherwise there are infinite solutions. I'm not interested in just shooting out rays to try to guess how close I can get, I'm interested in algorithms that can do it perfectly. Search based, not guess/improvement based.

  How can I get an HtmlElement if the source code doesn't have the "id=''", but only has the "name=''". Document.GetElementById() doesn't work, and Document.All[""] doesn't work (obviously, because there is no ID. How can I simulate a form post? So, for instance, you have an enum Fruit{Apple,Orange,Banana,Pear, ... } NetworkConnectionType{LAN,Data_3g,Data_4g, ... } I am opposed to naming it: FruitEnum NetworkConnectionTypeEnum I understand it is easy to pick off which files are enums, but then you would also have: NetworkConnectionClass FruitClass Also, is there a good document describing the same for constants, where to declare them, etc.? The ScatterViewItems are added programatically to the ScatterView based on info looked up in a DB The Scatterview does a good job of displaying this info However, I would like them to be evenly distributed across the table and not have any items overlapping Any ideas how to do that?
