    Hi As i know, all the threads share memory location. For example a global variable changes in one thread will reflect in another thread. Since each thread has its own stack, the local variables that are created inside the thread is unique. In this case, why do we need to go for thread specific data mechanism?. Can't it be achieved by auto storage varibles inside the thread function ? Kindly clarify!!!. BR Rj

    I'm building an app which will allow a user to scan the barcode on a 'shelf', 'box' or 'product' which will then bring up that particular item or all the associated items. As these are all separate models with their own ID's, I need a global ID table. I was thinking of a polymorphic table called 'barcodes' barcodes id barcode_number barcodable Is there an easy way to do this? Or is polymorphic the best way?

A few other requirements supports blocking (I can't use non-blocking/nio) isn't set as an environment or some other global scope property (there are multiple threads accessing) I was looking into HttpCore components but I did not see any support for blocking https.

    Hello I'd like my dates in the mm/dd/year format in text fields. However, they currently displays as 2010-03-26. Is there a global setting I can set to change this?   • Where do I find scripts generated by SharePoint MCMS Migration Profiles

    I am attempting to migrate data from an Microsoft Content Management Server (MCMS) 2002 instance into a new Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server (MOSS) 2007 installation using the Manage Microsoft Content Management Server Migration Profiles tool in the Operations space of MOSS Central Administration. When analyzing the profile, I receive 4 warnings, all of which may be safely ignored, but when I actually execute the migration profile, I get the same warnings and an additional error with a description of: Line 6: Incorrect syntax near ';'. I have seen this error numerous times when mucking about in SQL Server and recognize it as a Transact SQL error message, but can't find the actual SQL statement that is being executed so that I may determine the source of the error. EDIT: After enabling verbose logging on the MCMS 2002 Migration category, and poring through the Unified Logging Service (ULS) logs, I received a more complete stack trace at the point of the error, and a couple more anomalies listed below.     I'd like to use eventcreate from a batch file to log the results of a file copy job (robocopy). What I'd really like to do is use the output of the file copy job as the description of the event (/D of createevent). The trouble is, there are multiple lines in the file copy output, and I've only been able to get one line into a local variable or a pipe command. I've tried reading a local variable in from file, like set /P myVar=<temp.txt but it only gets the first line. How can I write multiple lines to the description of an event from a batch file?

  • Unable to execute file in the temporary directory

    I am using Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit. I see this error, almost everytime I launch an executable file (to install it) but not for all of them. I don't see the error when I use Run as Administrator. I looked around, and found a solution: I needed to give permissions to the current user for the temp file as shown in the picture below: The problem here is solved temporarily, but it goes back to give me the same problem after restarting the PC. What can I do to prevent such a thing? I don't really want to use the built in Administrator account all the time. Update: The problem is caused by the cracked version of Adobe Acrobat.   • Server 2003 on domain wont let domain user have local profile

    I have a few servers that are acting in this behavior, you log in and always get put into a temporary profile. The server is licensed for TS. The user I am testing with has local admin rights so it doesn't seem to be a permission issue on the server. I'll first get a message that the users roaming profile cannot be found, even though we dont use roaming profiles. I then get another message immediately after saying a local profile could not be loaded, so it will only use a temp profile. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I usually add the count field and display it as a "% of row", and then create a pivot chart. However, if I want to sort one of the columns, say "Yes", Excel sorts by the underlying count, not the calculated percentage. Any way around this?

    We're running a nginx reverse proxy cluster, forwarding traffic to our main website, this enables us to filter out unwanted traffic/users etc, and send them off else where, now we have a few issues with SYN floods where the requests a second is overflowing the proxy + the main server causing them to become unavailable. Is there any ip tables magic that can A) Rate limit SYN packets / connections to HTTP B) Block it all together if packets a second is malicious or any advice how to use limit_rate_zone in nginx, I've googled and tried to apply a few new results and none of them work and the websites are still unavailable.
