  • IIS 6 nested virtual directory redirection

    We're running IIS 6 on a WinServer2k3 box and we're having some trouble with the following problem: E-mails were sent out to users asking them to go to the following URL: alias.contoso.com/directory2/view.aspx?queryparam1=no&queryparam2=blue However, the URLS are actually supposed to be: server.contoso.com/directory2/view.aspx?queryparam1=no&queryparam2=blue It's too late to recall all of the e-mails, and we'd like to redirect traffic to make this as seamless as possible for our users. The real problem here is that the server (server.contoso.com) is hosting the alias (alias.contoso.com) as a redirect thusly, and the existing redirect we need to keep functional: Default Web Site (server.contoso.com) --Directory1 --Directory2 --Directory3 Redirection to Directory3 (alias.contoso.com) --Essentially alias.contoso.com will take the user to server.contoso.com/Directory3 Is there any way to host a separate redirect inside of the existing redirect? We need to keep alias.contoso.com taking the user to server.contoso.com/Directory3 but also make alias.contoso.com/directory2/view.aspx?queryparam1=no&queryparam2=blue point to server.contoso.com/directory2/view.aspx?queryparam1=no&queryparam2=blue Any tips? Is this even possible?

    Does anyone know of a Windows Mobile 7 device aimed at business use? I’m looking for something with bar code scanning capability. Psion, hand held, and honeywell only offer 6.5 at the moment. Granted, Windows Mobile 7 just barely came out and these sorts of devices usually lag a bit behind consumer toys...but hopefully someone can help.

I tried it with the rewrite rules, but I can't get it working, because I don't know how to get the part xxx from the SERVER_NAME into my RewriteRule. I tryed to create an Ad-hoc Wifi network on linux but the Android cannot find the Wifi network..How can I proceed..Should I buy a wifi hotspot or something like that ?   • Virtual Hard Drive not booting - VMWare

    I have a .vmdk (VMWare hard disk) file that I cannot use as the lone disk in a new virtual machine. If I attach it to an existing virtual machine then it works fine. It has Windows Server 2003 on it. When I attempt to boot the new VM it attempts a network boot. EDIT: VMWare Workstation 6.5 I could not find a PXE option in the settings, and I did look in the VM config file for "PXE" but did not find one.

  • Trying to setup virtual hosts on unix PHP on nginx

    I have tried to install php5-fpm and Nginx on Ubuntu machine, but I got a problem. When I have only one virtual host on a unix port it is all fine but when I try to add another virtual host Nginx goes to default web page "Welcome to Nginx!" but when I run it on a tcp port example port 9000 it work fine with multisites. It is a fresh install of ubuntu 11.10, Nginx 1.2.3 with php5-fpm installed. It also has extra php installs such as php-apc. I can only give the links to the virtual hosts because I am doing it from a mobile phone.   • Easy way to switch default sound output device

    I want an easier way to change my default sound device from my sound card to my usb headset. Currently it takes a very precise right click, a left click, another right click, and two more left clicks. Ideally i could just have it swap with a shortcut key. (it was a little easier in XP but not by much.) A software solution is preferred, but I am open to suggestions that use hardware. I am running Windows 7 currently.

  • What are the app file size limitations for different smartphone OSes & carriers?

    I know the iPhone App Store limits how large an app can be in general and there are also limitations with AT&T over the size it can be to transmit over a data plan vs WiFi. I have no idea what, if any, these limits are for Android apps and what I'm finding online is a mix of different numbers. Does anyone know these numbers definitively? The Android game I'm porting is in the 20-30MB range and we'd like to know if we need to further reduce its size.
