• Extjs Tooltips, IFrames and IE => Problems

  I have an application using OpenLayers, Extjs and GeoExt. My application runs fine, but I need it to be placed inside an IFrame in another page. When doing this, my toolbar becomes responseless in Internet Explorer. The cause is Ext.QuickTips.init();. Comment out this line and everything works fine - except the quick tips ofcourse =) But why is it causing problems? Is it because I'm using it wrong, placing it wrong or just because it doesn't like IE and IFrames? • Problems with Google Maps API v3 + jQuery UI Tabs

  There are a number of problems, which seem to be fairly well-known, when using the Google Maps API to render a map within a jQuery UI tab. I've seen SO questions posted about similar issues (here and here, for example) but the solutions there only seem to work for v2 of the Maps API. Other references I checked out are here and here, along with pretty much everything I could dig up through Googling. I've been trying to stuff a map (using v3 of the API) into a jQuery tab with mixed results. I'm using the latest versions of everything (currently jQuery 1.3.2, jQuery UI 1.7.2, don't know about Maps). In fact, the best-functioning code uses the CSS .ui-tabs .ui-tabs-hide { display: none; } instead. The only way to get a map to display in a tab at all is to set the CSS width and height of #map_canvas to be absolute values. Changing the width and height to auto or 100% causes the map to not display at all, even if it's already been successfully rendered (using absolute width and height). I couldn't find it documented anywhere outside of the Maps API, but map.checkResize() won't work anymore. Instead, you have to fire a resize event by calling google.maps.event.trigger(map, 'resize'). If the map is not initialized inside of a function bound to a tabsshow event, the map itself is rendered correctly but the controls are not - most are just plain missing. So, here are my questions: Does anyone else have experience accomplishing this same feat? If so, how did you figure out what would actually work, since the documented tricks don't work for Maps API v3? What about loading tab content using Ajax as per the jQuery UI docs? I haven't had a chance to play around with it but my guess is that it's going to break Maps even more. What are the chances of getting it to work (or is it not worth trying)? How do I make the map fill the largest possible area? I'd like it to fill the tab and adapt to page resizes, much in the way that it's done over at maps.google.com. But, as I said, I appear to be stuck with applying only absolute width and height CSS to the map div. Sorry if this was long-winded but this might be the only documentation for Maps API v3 + jQuery tabs. Cheers!

• Why do I get this error when I try to push my SQLite3 to Postgresql (via Taps) on Cedar Stack?

  I've done quite a bit of research on Heroku Dev Center and I am now looking to the community for help. Here is my problem. I can not push my db to Heroku Cedar Stack. I am trying to migrate a sqlite database to postgresql via Taps gem. When I am ready to deploy I run: bundle install --without production heroku run db:push I get the following result: Running db:seed attached to terminal... up, run.17 sh: db:seed: not found heroku run rake db:migrate And when I run the migration: heroku run rake db:migrate I get the following: Running rake db:migrate attached to terminal... up, run.18 rake aborted! • Am I going about this the right way?

  Hey Guys, I'm starting a WPF project, and just finished the base of the UI, it seems very convoluted though, so I'm not sure if I've gone around laying it out in the right way. I don't want to get to start developing the back-end and realise that I've done the front wrong, and make life harder for myself. Coming from a background of <DIV's and CSS to style this is a lot different, and really want to get it right from the start. Essentially it's a one week calendar (7 days, Mon-Sunday, defaulting to the current week.) Which will eventually link up to a DB and if I have an appointment for something on this day it will show it in the relevant day. I've opted for a Grid rather than ListView because of the way it will work I will not be binding the results to a collection or anything along those lines. Rather I will be filling out a Combo box within the canvas for each day (yet to be placed in the code) for each event and on selection it will show me further details. • Looking for a workaround for IE 6/7 "Unspecified Error" bug when accessing offsetParent; using ASP.N

  I'm using jQuery UI's draggable and droppable libraries in a simple ASP.NET proof of concept application. This page uses the ASP.NET AJAX UpdatePanel to do partial page updates. The page allows a user to drop an item into a trashcan div, which will invoke a postback that deletes a record from the database, then rebinds the list (and other controls) that the item was drug from. All of these elements (the draggable items and the trashcan div) are inside an ASP.NET UpdatePanel. • mfc tab control switch tabs

  I created a simple tab control that has 2 tabs (each tab is a different dialog). The thing is that i don't have any idea how to switch between tabs (when the user presses Titlu Tab1 to show the dialog i made for the first tab, and when it presses Titlu Tab2 to show my other dialog). I added a handler for changing items, but i don't know how should i acces some kind of index or child for tabs. • DataGrid rendering fails

  I have DataGrid with groups of data. The problem is that after binding data I have strange effect (text was blured by me; the problem are cells' paddings/margins). This effect can be easily 'fixed' by user because after one click on top expander data hides and after second click on the expander, rows in DataGrid are displayed correctly. • Why my button can trigger the UI to scroll and my TimerTask inside the activity can't?

  Long Story Short: a method of my activity updates and scrolls the ListView through an ArrayAdapter like it should, but a method of an internal TimerTask for polling messages (which are displayed in the ListView) updates the ListView, but don't scroll it. Why?   I'm trying to build my first website from scratch. I mocked up the design in Photoshop, and have been trying to convert into code for a few hours. But I haven't got far. In fact, I'm stuck on the header's navigation bar. It looks right, but it doesn't work. I'm using an unordered-inline list, and trying to link different rectangles in the header. I can't click on anything in the header, though. The code for the html and css files, and a mockup of the header, are below. Any advice on why the header bar isn't working would be much appreciated.   I'm receiving this error on a page that previously worked fine, in fact the only change I've made to the page recently was to add another asp:TextBox and asp:RequiredFieldValidator control.
