• UITextField start at end of text

  I created an UITextField in my App. This text field display a long text. The problem is that when I first open the view containing the UITextField, it is automaticaly show the end of my text. But I want it to show the begining. I read the UITextFiled Class Reference on Apple dev center, but nothing seem to allow me to change it. How can I do?

• iPhone, special characters in JSON Response

  Writing an iphone app, and I'm getting my data from a REST API that returns JSON. My problem is, some of the data has special characters embedded and Im getting errors. Example: MartÌn Petite-RiviËre-Saint-FranÁois Here is my current code: NSString *jsonString = [[NSString alloc] initWithData:receivedData encoding:NSUTF8StringEncoding]; NSMutableArray *tempResults = [[[jsonString JSONValue] objectForKey:@"getRegionResortsLastUpdatedResponse"] objectForKey:@"return"]; Whenever the data has special characters in it "jsonString" return "(null)", otherwise everything works fine. Is this something I can handle on my end, or does the API need to be modified to output the character codes?

• ServeletException, Property <variable name> not found

  What i'm trying to do is add a new variable to this previously created Managed Bean Hello.java and use it in my xhtml file binding to a text field. But it seems that it is not being found when i run it on the server. So it throws a "ServeletException" and says that the "property 'lname'(my variable) is not found". How do i solve this and why is this happening?   Let's suppose that I have these tables: [ properties ] id (INT, PK) name (VARCHAR) [ properties_prices ] id (INT, PK) property_id (INT, FK) date_begin (DATE) date_end (DATE) price_per_day (DECIMAL) price_per_week (DECIMAL) price_per_month (DECIMAL) And my visitor runs a search like: List the first 10 (pagination) properties where the price per day (price_per_day field) is between 10 and 100 on the period for 1st may until 31 december I know thats a huge query, and I need to paginate the results, so I must do all the calculation and login in only one query... that's why i'm here! :)

  I am generating lots of images in java and saving them through the ImageIO.write method like this: final BufferedImage img = createSomeImage(); ImageIO.write( img, "png", new File( "/some/file.png" ); I was happy with the results until Google's firefox addon 'Page Speed' told me that i can save up to 60% of the size if i optimize the images. The images are QR codes, their size is around 900B each and the firefox-plugin optimized versions are around 300B. I'd like to save such optimized 300B Images directly from java. So here my question again: How to save optimized png images with java's ImageIO?

• Why can't you call a non-static method from a static method?

  Im using python to access a MySQL database and im getting a unknown column in field due to quotes not being around the variable. code below: cur = x.cnx.cursor() cur.execute('insert into tempPDBcode (PDBcode) values (%s);' % (s)) rows = cur.fetchall() How do i manually insert double or single quotes around the value of s? I've trying using str() and manually concatenating quotes around s but it still doesn't work. The sql statement works fine iv double and triple check my sql query.

  When auditing, sometimes the before value does not get audited, other times the after value does not get audited, other times both values do not get audited at all. After researching, I found out that only values from a specific codes table get audited. the code was: compareCodesTableInteger(audit, int, int, objectBefore, objectAfter, stringDescription, stringCodesTable); I then changed it to: compareCodesTableInteger(audit, int, int, objectBefore, objectAfter, stringDescription, booleanCheck ? stringCodesTableIfTrue : stringCodesTableIfFalse); Description: if objectBefore AND objectAfter are both from stringCodesTableIfTrue OR from stringCodesTableIfFalse, auditing takes place as expected. The problem is: most of the times, objectBefore is from stringCodesTableIfTrue, and objectAfter is from stringCodesTableIfFalse, or vice-versa. In this scenario auditing fails. How do I go around this? Please assist

• Drupal 7: Create a taxonomy term for each node and use the node title as the term name

  Is there anyway of doing this by using rules or by some custom code? I did try using rules but I can't find a way of adding a new term and set the name as the node title because the [node:title] token is not avilable. I know this is possible using the NAT module but the way this module changes the taxonomy terms hierarchy if you add a term reference field that uses the same taxonomy vocabulary which ruins the whole purpose of what I am trying to do.
