  • "Add another item" form functionality

    I have a form that lets a user enter their career history - it's a very simple form with only 3 fields - type (dropdown), details (textfield) and year (dropdown). Basically I want to include some dynamic functionality whereby the user can enter multiple items on the same page and then submit them all in one go. I had a search on Google and found some examples but they were all based on tables - my markup is based on DIV tags: <div class="form-fields"> <div class="row"> <label for="type">Type</label> <select id="type" name="type"> <option value="Work">Work</option> </select> </div> <div class="row"> <label for="details">Details</label> <input id="details" type="text" name="details" /> </div> <div class="row"> <label for="year">Year</label> <select id="year" name="year"> <option value="2010">2010</option> </select> </div> </div> So basically the 3 DIV tags with class "row" need to be duplicated, or to simplify things - the div "form-fields" could just be duplicated. I am also aware that the input names would have to converted to array format. Additionally each item will require a "remove" button. There will be a main submit button at the bottom which submits all the data. Anyone got an elegant solution for this?

    Normally all validation methods is connected to a field, radiobuttons, dropdowns etc. In my case I would like to do a general custom validation that depends on many fields in my form. I dont want one field of them to become highlighted like a normal "required", i would rather just show a message in the errorcontainer. Is there a simple way to do this I have overlooked?

The loop is looped 30 times, so I want to have 30 rows and 2 columns ( x and y columns) I have this code : For N=1:30 . . . Binary = bwlabel(blacknwhite); s = regionprops(Binary,'centroid'); centroids = cat(1, s.Centroid); hold(imgca,'on') plot(imgca,centroids(1,1), centroids(1,2),'r*') . . . end I dont think this does what I want ... only the first row is updated in my loop ..   • ggplot2 add legend for each geom_point manually

    I created a plot using 2 separate data sets so that I could create different errorbars. The first data set has error bars that go down only whereas the second data set has error bars that go up only. This prevents unnecessary overlap in the plot. I also used a compound shape for one of the groups. I want to create a legend based on these shapes (not a colour), but I can't seem to figure it out.   • Handling return value from Web Service Call Wrapper

    I created this method below which makes an HTTP call to a 3rd party API. I just want opinions on if I'm handling this the best way. If the call fails, I need to return the ExistsInList bool value only if the response is not null. But in the last return statement, wouldn't I have to essentially do another return selectResponse == null ? false : selectResponse.ExistsInList; to check for null first just like the previous return in the catch?     i'm using the following regular expression to form a basic email validation. var emailRegEx = /^([a-zA-Z0-9])(([a-zA-Z0-9])*([\._\+-])*([a-zA-Z0-9]))*@(([a-zA-Z0-9\-])+(\.))+([a-zA-Z]{2,4})+$/; this works pretty well for what i need but i also need to exclude these specific characters for reasons i won't go into. !,#,$,%,^,&,*,(,),-,+,|,{,},[,],:,>,<,?,/,\,= - (the characters between the "," if that isn't clear) could someone help me with adding the second group to the first? I know the pro's and cons of using javascript to validate email addresses - i have to do it this way. thanks.
