• Gui for viewing Apache headers

  Is there any GUI for viewing Apache headers which are being served by a chain of Reverse Proxy Servers. I have a cloud which uses a few Proxy Servers in between the client and actual server which has to serve the original request. All servers are Unix Servers. And if there is a problem which I do not get a clue to then to be able to post them here downloading and doing an ftp of those headers with all the logs , loging in each time to each proxy server and Opening the browser and exporting the X display to some remote server each time from the chain and then observing HTTP_RESPONSES and checking the request from each of those servers and then posting log with configuration and response takes at least 2-3 hours to type an email. Is there a shorter way to do so?

  Problem: I want to make iPhone OS 2.1 apps, but Xcode now always makes automatically an iPhone OS 3.0 project. I forgot about it and now I have an app which I want to test on my iPod touch, but I need to build OS 2.1. Is there a way to get this working? The dropdown from top left in Xcode only offers to build for OS 3.0 device. However, when I open old projects, there I have OS 2.1 available.

I have a simple application that is mostly text and buttons that in theory should be able to run on both professional and standard devices with little if any modification.   I'm curious if anyone still creates icons other than RGB/A (or 32-bit with alpha-channel) for your Windows apps? PS. I know that suggested model is to create 256-color versions of icons, but I always struggle with those. If I automatically convert them in an icon editor they totally decimate the look of my original icons with jagged edges and circa-Windows95 look. So if those are still required, does anyone know the stats on how many people are still using color settings other then 32-bit TrueColor?

• All MySQL Databases lost overnight

  After a call from a customer to say that his website is down, I find that MySQL on our RackSpace Cloud Windows 2008 server was not running. I restarted MySQL but got the 'Access denied for user' error in the browser for all websites with MySQL database. When I look in MySql Server 5.5/data there are no folders other than mysql and performance_schema. It appears all the databases and data have been wiped. Does anyone know what might have happened and where the data has gone? To top that I just found this server is missing from our backup service. ps appears to be after windows update at 4:01 this morning.

• intermittent SSH with ssh_exchange_identification error

  My ssh connection to my server works every 30 min for around 10 min. Things that I figure out that might be the problem: The server is underload (it is a database server), but on those spare moments that I can connect, it is still under the same load, which doesnt make sense. The server is a ubuntu, and the consolekit was using a lot of virtual memory. Restarted the consolekit and it seems to be using a right amount of memory now. It is not the host alows or deny. Those are setup properly. It is not a firewall problem. Those settings were working and the same settings are working for other similar machines. It is on the ec2. Amazon cloud.

I would like to get back into it but I can never justify using C over Perl or Python. What real-world apps are being built with these languages?   phpFox should take care of user login management, add user and edit user. But would like to automatically create a corresponding Wordpress account when user signs up for phpFox. And when user logs into phpFox user is auto logged into Wordpress so user doesn't really even realize Wordpress login or user account exists. What would be the best way to do this? • Is it possible in Android Market to delete an existing FREE app and reupload it again as a PAY app?

  I have an app I am offering for free for now. At some point, I want to be able to change it to a pay app. The market doesn't allow a free app to become for-pay and doesn't allow for-pay apps to be priced at 0$. So is it possible to just delete the original app and then reupload it as a for-pay app ? It's okay in my case if users aren't notified of updates.
