    I've read various sites and tutorials online but I am still confused. If the message is bigger than IP MTU, then send() returns the byte sent. What happens to the rest of the message? Am I to call send() again and attempt to send rest of the message? Or is that something IP layer should take care of automatically?

    Hello I have an extended stored procedure that sends an error message. srv_sendmsg(pSrvProc, SRV_MSG_ERROR, errorNum, SRV_FATAL_SERVER, 1, NULL, 0, (DBUSMALLINT) __LINE__, buff, SRV_NULLTERM); I've set the severity to SVR_FATAL_SERVER just as a test to see if I can cause the message to throw an exception in the sql. In my SQL i'm doing: BEGIN TRY EXEC dbo.xp_somethingCool SET @Error = @@ERROR END TRY BEGIN CATCH PRINT 'AN Error occoured!' SELECT ERROR_NUMBER() AS ErrorNumber ,ERROR_MESSAGE() AS ErrorMessage; END CATCH I would think that when my xp sends the error message the tsql would catch the error and select the error_number and error_message. Instead what ends up happening is that the xp sends the message and the T-SQL continues on its way like nothing happened. The @@Error variable doesn't get set either. So I was wondering if there was any trick to getting SQL to catch an error from an XP ? Thanks, Raul

    I'm trying to find a way to remove zombie locks using the Subversion command line tools. The eventual goal is to do this from a hook script, but I haven't been able to work out the command line to use when you only have a physical repository path. (Using svnadmin rmlocks only seems to work for locks which exist in the HEAD revision.) Ideally, I'd like to do this via the post-commit hook script using the command line tools. (I'm aware of the python script for this purpose, but we'd prefer not to install python on that server for this single use.) We're a .NET shop, so creating a tool with the SharpSVN library is also a possibility, but the only unlock capability there appears to be in the SVNClient class. So it's really two questions: Is there a way to do this with the command line tools? If not, is there a way to do it from SharpSVN? (Or perhaps another library?)

  • System.out.println() does not operate in Akka actor

    I am kind of baffled by this encointer. I am working an akka project that was created as a maven projecct and imported into eclipse using the mvn eclipse:eclipse command. the akka actor has the system println method just to make it easy to do read the functions and methods invoked.   • CAsyncSocket and ThreadPool problem

    I have a server application with such structure: There is one object, call him Server, that in endless cycle listens and accepts connections. I have descendant class from CAsyncSocket, that has overriden event OnReceive, call him ProxySocket. Also I have a thread pool with early created threads. When connection is received by server object he accepts the new connection on the new object ProxySocket. When data arrives to the ProxySocket, he creates a command object and gives it to thread pool. In this command object I giving the socket handle of a ProxySocket. When new object of command is creating - I creating a new Socket in working thread and attach handle to it. My issue is next: When command ends, socket doesn't close, I just detach handle it and set CSocket handle to INVALID_SOCKET value, as planned. But my first ProxySocket object doesn't receives messages of new data receiving after that. How can I solve this?

Here's how the message shows up in the Event Log, with the HTML "markup", doesn't even handle it: Example 2: Please contact us via <a href="mailto:[email protected]">email</a> or <a href="http://example.com">online</a>. This is how I would like the message to show up, but with "email" and "online" as the link texts: Example 3: Please contact us via email or online. I've tried the <a href>...</a> HTML tags with no success.

    I am trying to develop a system in which a user can upload a slideshow (pdf) and it'll export each slide as a png. After some digging around I came across a post on here that suggested using a processor. I've had a go, but I cant get the command to run, if it is running then I don't know what is happening because no errors are being shown.     Hi there, I have a scenario where I need a desktop console app to communicate with a Windows Azure Queue... the most important thing is that the message is received by the server eventually. Also, the desktop app may be disconnected from the Internet sometimes. In the traditional WCF+MSMQ approach you'd be able to send a message which would be cached in MSMQ until MSMQ could reach the Server's MSMQ and send the message. What's the equivalent when Windows Azure is the server-side? Is it possible for the same approach to be used, where MSMQ just communicates with a Windows Azure Queue rather than an MSMQ on a Windows Server? Maybe Windows Azure Queue is the wrong approach? I have heard about something called message buffer, but don't know what this is (yet!). thanks for your help Kris

  • Error using CreateFileMapping - C

    Hello, I am using the tutorial on this MSDN link to implement a way of transferring data from one process to another. Although I was advised in an earlier question to use the Pipe methods, due to certain constraints I have no choice but to use the CreateFileMapping method. Now, i've succesfully managed to make two seperate window form projects within the same solution and by editing some properties both of the forms load at the same time. Furthermore I have managed to implement the code given in the MSDN sample into the first (Producer) and second (Consumer) program without any compilation errors. The problem I am having now is when I run the first program and try to create the handle to the mapped file, I am given an error saying it was unsuccesful and I do not understand why this is happening.     I'm trying to execute a program (convert from ImageMagick, to be specific) whose parent folder exists on the path. Ergo, when I run convert from the command line, it runs the command. The following, however, fails: String command = "convert" CommandLine commandLine = CommandLine.parse(command); commandLine.addArgument(...) ... int exitValue = executor.execute(commandLine); If I specify the full path of the convert executable (C:\Program files\...) then this code works. If I don't do this, I get an exception thrown with exit value 4. How do I get commons-exec to recognize the system path?

  • Spring - disable bind exceptions (for a particular property)

    Hi all, In a web application I'm working on using Spring 2.5.6.SEC01, I essentially have an Integer field that takes a number to determine which page to scroll to. The requirements changed, and we no longer want to display an error message, but simply ignore the user's input if they enter an invalid number, say "adfadf". I was reading that you can do that via: TypeMismatch.property=Some New Error Message However, after having tried that, we are still getting the original error message: java.lang.Integer.TypeMismatch=... I only want to disable this message for that given property. How can I do that? I still want binding to occur automatically, I just don't want to hear about it now. Walter

As I can't see any getRead method in inputStream subclass.

    I have written a program in C# which connects to a POP Server and retrieves raw email message strings from the server using POP3 command RETR. Since the email message being retrieved by the program is in plain text format with all the headers and message body with in the same, its too difficult to extract each header and mail body from the raw string. Could anybody tell me a solution by which I can parse the entire raw text to a System.Net.Mail.MailMessage object?     Hi I'm new to all this. I have been trying to display fetched emails in a JTable using the JavaMail add-on. However when I ask the program to set the value it never does. I have been working in NetBeans if that is any help? the fetchMail class finds all may on a server. The gui class is used to display all emails in a table as well as creating mail.
