Map enum in JPA with fixed values ?

I'm looking for the different ways to map an enum using JPA. Getting Vars to bind properly across multiple files

I am just learning Clojure and am having trouble moving my code into different files. I keep detting this error from the appnrunner.clj - Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Exception: Unable to resolve symbol: -run-application in this context It seems to be finding the namespaces fine, but then not seeing the Vars as being bound... Any idea how to fix this? Trying to use linq to search based on table with hierarchical data.

Duplicate many times over (and also these) I have a table called Types that has the following columns. ID Level Name ParentID (The ID of the parent row) and a table called ParentObject which has the following columns. ID TypeID there are 4 different level (possibly to be expanded to more). So if I had ID: 1 Level: 0 Name: Level0 ParentID: null ID: 2 Level: 1 Name: Level1 ParentID: 1 ID: 3 Level: 2 Name: Level2 ParentID: 2 ID: 4 Level: 3 Name: Level3 ParentID: 3 ID: 5 Level: 4 Name: Level4 ParentID: 4 In the ParentObject table I store the tree by just storing the lowest level ID. So if the ID i have is 4, I know that the tree actually goes Level0 - Level1 - Level2 - Level3 Basically, I need to be able to search all objects for a certain Type, or Type Level 2 for example in a linq statement. Say that the TypeID stored in the ParentObject table is 4, so Level3. But I actually want to search for all ParentObjects where the Level 2 type has an ID of 3. What would be the best way to do this since the id stored could be a level1 or a level2, etc.? Preferably in one linq statement if possible.

Importing Variables from PHP 4 into Flash

I'm trying to get variable importing from a PHP script before I implement it into a larger project. So far all I've gotten is headaches. //this is all thats in test.php other than the open and close brackets. The problem comes in that 'val' is undefined. What are the correct bindings for an NSComboBox for use with Core Data

Imagine if you will a Core Data app with two entities (Employee, and Department). Employees have a to-one relationship with department (department) and the inverse is a to-many relationship (employees). In the UI you can select individual Employee entities and edit the details in a detail area (there are of course other attributes and there is UI for adding and editing Department entities). When using a popup button the bindings are: content = PopUpArrayController.arrangedObjects content values = PopUpArrayController.arrangedObjects.name (name is an NSString) selected object = EmployeeArrayController.selection.department.name This allows for viewing of all departments in the popup menu, correct selection of the current Employee's department, and allows that department to be changed as expected. The goal is to change this for an NSComboBox so that the user can tab to the box and type the department name in without switching to the mouse. I have tried numerous different bindings to accomplish this. I even had it work for one run with these bindings: content = PopUpArrayController.arrangedObjects.name value = EmployeeArrayController.selection.department.name At least once this worked as expected (it even added a new department when the entered text did not match any existing department). Now however it will display the available Departments and auto complete but will not update the model with the correct value when the value is changed in the combo box. If the Department is set or changed with the popup the correct department is shown in the combo box. Does anyone know what I am missing? Thanks.

Collection is empty when it arrives on the client

One of my entities has an EntitySet< property with [Composition], [Include] and [Association] attributes. I populate this collection in my domain service but when I check its contents when it is received on the client, the collection is empty. I am using Silverlight 4 RTM as well as RIA Services 1.0 RTM. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? I'm trying to learn about OLAP and data warehousing, and I'm confused about the difference between relational and dimensional modeling. Is dimensional modeling basically relational modeling, but allowing for redundant/un-normalized data? For example, let's say I have historical sales data on (product, city, # sales). I understand that the following would be a relational point-of-view: Product | City | # Sales Apples, San Francisco, 400 Apples, Boston, 700 Apples, Seattle, 600 Oranges, San Francisco, 550 Oranges, Boston, 500 Oranges, Seattle, 600 While the following is a more dimensional point-of-view: Product | San Francisco | Boston | Seattle Apples, 400, 700, 600 Oranges, 550, 500, 600 But it seems like both points of view would nonetheless be implemented in an identical star schema: Fact table: Product ID, Region ID, # Sales Product dimension: Product ID, Product Name City dimension: City ID, City Name And it's not until you start adding some additional details to each dimension that the differences start popping up. For instance, if you wanted to track regions as well, a relational database would tend to have a separate region table, in order to keep everything normalized: City dimension: City ID, City Name, Region ID Region dimension: Region ID, Region Name, Region Manager, # Regional Stores While a dimensional database would allow for denormalization to keep the region data inside the city dimension, in order to make it easier to slice the data: City dimension: City ID, City Name, Region Name, Region Manager, # Regional Stores Is this correct?

Flash video player doesn't play after rewriting a url

Hi! I recently started a new job working on a content management system. One of the jobs was to implement url rewriting, which i've done, but for some reason the URL rewriting has killed the ability to play flv files through FLVPlayer_Progressive. An example can be seen below: Working if you then follow the link on the menu and go to Campaigns It's a Living Thing you can see how it's not working when the url is being re-written. Anyways i'm outta ideas after a pretty frustrating day of trying to pass the thing absolute urls, relative paths and the like and am hoping a fresh set of eyes may help.

Nhibernate , collections and compositeid

Hi, banging my head here and thought that some one out there might be able to help. Have Tables below. Bucket( bucketId smallint (PK) name varchar(50) ) BucketUser( UserId varchar(10) (PK) bucketId smallint (PK) ) The composite key is not the problem thats ok I know how to get around this but I want my bucket class to contanin a IList of BucketUser. I read the online reference and thought that I had cracked it but havent. Flex - Issues retrieving an XMLList

Hello! I'm having a problem retrieving a XMLList and I don't understand why. I have an application that is running properly. It uses some data from two xml files called division.xml and store.xml. I noticed that I have some data in division.xml that should be in store.xml, so I did a copy/paste of the data from one file to the other. This is the data I copied: <stores> <store> <odeis>101</odeis> <name></name> <password></password> <currency></currency> <currSymbol></currSymbol> </store> <store> <odeis>102</odeis> <name></name> <password></password> <currency></currency> <currSymbol></currSymbol> </store> </stores> In the application, I list all odeis codes and I need to retrieve the block store corresponding to the selected odeis code. Before moving the data into store.xml, this is how I retrieved the block: var node:XMLList = divisionData.division.(@name==HomePageData.instance.divisionName).stores.store.(odeis == HomePageData.instance.storeCodeOdeis) This is how I retrieve it after copying the data into store.xml: var node:XMLList = storeData.stores.(@name==HomePageData.instance.divisionName).store.(odeis == HomePageData.instance.storeCodeOdeis) And I'm currently getting the following error: ReferenceError: Error #1065: The variable odeis is not defined. I am creating a wizard in Struts. It cotains 4 steps. For Each step I have separate ActionClass say:- Step1Action.java Step2Action.java Step3Action.java Step4Action.java and in each class there are 2 methods input() and process(). input() method is for showing the page in input mode process() method is will be use for processing the submitted data (if validation is ok) I am carrying all data upto the last step in a session. And saving all of them in database in the last step Similaly 4 action tags in struts.xml like :- <action name="step1" class="com.mycomp.myapp.action.Step1Action1" method="input"> <result name="success" type="redirectAction">step2</result> <result name="input">/view/step1.jsp</result> </action> <action name="step2" class="com.mycomp.myapp.action.Step1Action2" method="input"> <result name="success" type="redirectAction">step3</result> <result name="input">/view/step2.jsp</result> </action> But I think I am going wrong. Please Tell me How will I handle This case?

Distutils - Where Am I going wrong?

I wanted to learn how to create python packages, so I visited http://docs.python.org/distutils/index.html. For this exercise I'm using Python 2.6.2 on Windows XP. I followed along with the simple example and created a small test project: person/ setup.py person/ __init__.py person.py My person.py file is simple: class Person(object): def __init__(self, name="", age=0): self.name = name self.age = age def sound_off(self): print "%s %d" % (self.name, self.age) And my setup.py file is: from distutils.core import setup setup(name='person', version='0.1', packages=['person'], ) I ran python setup.py sdist and it created MANIFEST, dist/ and build/. Next I ran python setup.py install and it installed it to my site packages directory. I run the python console and can import the person module, but I cannot import the Person class. >>>import person >>>from person import Person Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> ImportError: cannot import name Person I checked the files added to site-packages and checked the sys.path in the console, they seem ok. Why can't I import the Person class. Where did I go wrong?

SMO ManagedComputer.ServiceInstances is empty

I am trying to use SMO (VS 2010, SQL Server 2008) to connect to SQL Server and view the server protocol configuration. I can connect and list the Services and ClientProtocols as well as the account MSSQLSERVER service is running under. However, the ServerInstances collection is empty. The only instance on the target server is the default (MSSQLSERVER), shouldn't that be in the collection? How can I get an instance of it so I can inspect the ServerProtocols collection?
