    In one of my Selenium test cases, I try to ensure that certain pages can't be accessed. Instead, HTTP return code 403 should be given. However, here Selenium terminates test execution with the following exception: com.thoughtworks.selenium.SeleniumException: XHR ERROR: URL = http://user:[email protected]/admin Response_Code = 403 Error_Message = Forbidden Any way to work around that?

  • Why do the IP addresses randomly change?

    I have a network with the following: Cable modem with static IP address Router Desktop - Win 7 VM Host - VMware ESXi 4.0 A couple of VM Guests - Windows Every now and then my Win 7 PC is unable to access some of the VMs. When I ping the VMs by their domain name their IP address shows up as the IP address of the cable modem. Sometimes I can fix it by running ipconfig /flushdns. The IP address will reset back to what it was supposed to be, but occasionally it wont work. Why does this happen and how can I fix it?

  • Can't connect to wireless router anymore due to data rate problem

    I was playing around with my wireless router, and switched the mode to a fixed mode B. Now< I can no longer assoicate to the AP. Windows does not give any particular error message, but with wireshark I see that the returned error is that the client does not support the necessary data rate. My wireless card is type n, and it is set to mode a/b/g compatible. I tried setting ot to just b, however this made no difference. How can I set the data rate of my card so that I can connect again to my AP? I would prefer not to just reset the device, as there has been some configuration done that would be a pain to redo, and as well I do not have the ISP password handy. Regardless I would like to understand this situation better.

It displays immediately after the synchronous request happens, unfortunatly this is also when it is dismissed. The behaviour displayed to the user is that the app hangs, waits for the synchronous request to finish, quickly flashes the HUB and then becomes responsive again. How can I fix this issue? I want the SVProgressHUB to be displayed during this hang time, how can I do this?

  • Force sharepoint to ask for authentication

    Is there a way to force sharepoint 2010 to popup the dialog to ask the user for a username and password and not use the computers logged in user, if that user doesn't have access. We need an internal sharepoint website to not use the windows credentials, since these are computers used by many people. The windows user doesn't have access to the site, so currently it shows an access denied, click here to log in as another user. We would prefer if it just asked for credentials in a more graceful manner.

  • Oracle JDBC connection exception in Solaris but not Windows?

    I have some Java code that connects to an Oracle database using DriverManager.getConnection(). It works just fine on my Windows XP machine. However, when running the same code on a Solaris machine, I get the following exception. Both machines can reach the database machine on the network. I have included the Oracle trace logs.   • Port forwarding no longer works

    Prior to testing an OpenVPN installation, I setup a basic VPN server using the software already built into Windows 7. Port forwarding on the Linksys router worked as normal and I was able to connect remotely. After doing an install of OpenVPN Access Server on a spare box running Ubuntu, and adding new ports to be forwarded I was unable to access the VPN from an external source as the required ports all indicated that they were closed. (During testing XRDP and VNCSERVER were also installed to facilitate access to the box) Checking back on the Windows 7 VPN resulted in no access to that vpn setup either. All ports are now reporting a being closed despite being previously open even ports that were being used for other services. Adding and removing port forwarding rules seem to have no effect. At this point, in order to troubleshoot, both the firewall and anti-virus software have been disabled on the Windows 7 machine. Could this be just a router issue? Is there any way out of this without having to reset and reconfigure the router?

Now inside Linux I issued: sudo apt-get install python-virtualenv Then created ~/projects folder and python virtual environment: mkdir projects cd projects virtualenv venv Then activated my virtual env: . venv/bin/activate So far no problem. Then tried to install python libraries, for example markupsafe: pip install markupsafe It throws an error: Cannot fetch index base URL https://pypi.python.org/simple/ Could not find any downloads that satisfy the requirement markupsafe No distributions at all found for markupsafe Storing complete log in /home/me/.pip/pip.log Inside pip.log I found: <urlopen error [Errno 104] Connection reset by peer> Installing any other library throws similar error. What's wrong here?

  • IIS 7.5 401.3 Access Denied

    I am having this weird issue with IIS 7.5 on Windows 2008 R2 x64. I created a site in IIS and manually created a test file index.html and everything worked. When I try to do a deployment, I copy all the files from my local PC to the IIS server, try to access index.html (this is the proper deployed file) and getting 401.3 access denied error. I then try to manually recreate index.html and copy content into this newly created file and the page is accessible again... I just can't figure this out. So the issue is that IIS 7.5 can't server files that have been copied from other PCs. I tried to reset/apply permission settings to the copied folders/files but nothing has worked. Please help. Thanks! By the way, the files that I copied are just some html cutups i.e. generic html, css and image files, nothing special.

  • ListView: convertView / holder getting confused

    I'm working with a ListView, trying to get the convertView / referenceHolder optimisation to work properly but it's giving me trouble. (This is the system where you store the R.id.xxx pointers in as a tag for each View to avoid having to call findViewById). I have a ListView populated with simple rows of an ImageView and some text, but the ImageView can be formatted either for portrait-sized images (tall and narrow) or landscape-sized images (short and wide). It's adjusting this formatting for each row which isn't working as I had hoped. The basic system is that to begin with, it inflates the layout for each row and sets the ImageView's settings based on the data, and includes an int denoting the orientation in the tag containing the R.id.xxx values. Then when it starts reusing convertViews, it checks this saved orientation against the orientation of the new row. The theory then is that if the orientation is the same, then the ImageView should already be set up correctly. If it isn't, then it sets the parameters for the ImageView as appropriate and updates the tag. However, I found that it was somehow getting confused; sometimes the tag would get out of sync with the orientation of the ImageView. For example, the tag would still say portrait, but the actual ImageView would still be in landscape layout. I couldn't find a pattern to how or when this happened; it wasn't consistent by orientation, position in the list or speed of scrolling. I can solve the problem by simply removing the check about convertView's orientation and simply always set the ImageView's parameters, but that seems to defeat the purpose of this optimisation.   • How to PERMANENTLY disable touchpad tap-to-click on Dell Inspiron/Windows 7

    Hi all - my first time here, so I hope you can help. I've seen a lot of stuff on various forums (including here) about disabling the annoying "tap" function on a laptop touchpad. I learned the hard way not to de-install the driver (as the software suggests), since you then loose the Synaptic tab in the mouse control settings, and with it all means to modify the touchpad settings ... indicentally, if this happens to you, reboot in safe mode and do a restore, and the synaptic tab comes back. Not ideal, I know, but it works. Anyway, I have the most up-to-date drivers, and I can go to the Synaptics tab and can disable the tap-to-click function no problem. However, next time the machine is booted, tap-to-click is back on. It can alsways be disabled, but it's pain having to reset it every time the mchine is powered up. Is there a way to permanently disable it, once and for all? Thanks in advance, Graham

All of ESX hosts have alert icon. end indicate "not responding" I tried to connect ESX (version 4) hosts to vCenter again. Once they came back normally, but after few seconds ,They turned red again.     Hi, today i tried to get django-piston and ExtJS working. I used the ExtJS restful example and the piston example to create a little restful webapp. Everything works fine except the authentication. Whats the best way to get Basic/Digest/OAuth authentication working with ExtJS? Atm I'm not sure where to set the Username/Password. Thanks
