  • How to get Remote Processes on Windows 2003 with cpu percentage

    I have a production server with it's cpu's running excessively high. Except in critical circumstances nobody is allowed to logon to servers during non maintenance times. I am looking for an application I can use to look at the processes on the remote server which include CPU % usage. An application like top. Windows native tasklist.exe doesn't show percentage, nor does sysinternals pslist.exe. Suggestions?

    I used to use Getif for poking around inside SNMP results from servers and devices. However it no longer works with Windows 7 and 64bit. I am looking for hopefully an OpenSource bit of software that will allow me add MIB's as required and allow me to browse the MIB tree and send a request/walk off to a server to get results.     I'm trying to do a really simple task - setup a virtual directory in Windows Server 2008. This is what I am doing but it's not working for some reason: Open IIS 7 Create a new virtual directory in Default Web Site and point it to a folder on d:\ drive Browse to folder on d:\ drive and create an .htm file with some test text in it Open a browser and navigate to http://localhost/TestSite/index.htm But I get a 404 - what gives? Edit:I didn't mention at first that this is Server 2008 R2

    Hi, I accidentally formatted my OEM drive of M DELL Inspiron. After that I could not install Windows 7 on my laptop. Because the partitions of my hard disk are not showing to select an install drive. I downloaded the RAID driver from the Dell Support website for my laptop, but the driver is showing and I loaded the driver from a pen drive. But it's still not showing the drives.

    I would appreciate some help debugging my windows 2008 profile service. Any domain account that logs on to my 2008 machine gets a +- 20 second waiting time on "user profile service" I am using roaming profiles, they are around 8mb in size, and most folders are already redirected to a network share. event log registers no errors, there is more than 1 network card installed, but I have the correct card listed as "primary" Is there any way to increase verbosity of logging on specifically the "user profile service" ? I need to create the torrent programmatically, I can't have a window pop-up.   • How to calibrate your mouse's X/Y in Windows Vista

    I've just installed a new Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 5000 and it's X/Y calibration/alignment seems to be off. If I move the mouse from left to right, the cursor will go up and down slightly. If I move the mouse from top to bottom, the cursor will also move from left to right slightly too. I seem to remember in earlier version of Windows or Intelli Point, there was a calibration tool which would fix this issue. Can anyone help? Many Thanks Stephen
