  • Html.CheckBoxFor() checked problem in ASP.Net MVC 2

    - by inolen
It doesn't seem that the Html.CheckBoxFor helper adds the correct "checked" attribute when rendering the HTML. I have a bool property rendered like so: <%= Html.CheckBoxFor(m => m.Visible) %> And the outputted HTML is this: <input type="checkbox" value="true" name="Visible" id="Visible"> Is there some particular reason it does not add the "checked" attribute when the value is true?

  • python `IN` module problem (FreeBSD)

    - by Shamanu4
I'm trying to work with sockets and I have such problem In code example: setsockopt(socket.SOL_SOCKET,IN.SO_BINDTODEVICE,self.listen_address+'\0') I have error AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'SO_BINDTODEVICE' On Linux machine this attribute is OK but on FreeBSD trere are no any SO_* attributes in module IN. What port should I install to resolve this problem on FreeBDS machine? Python versions on Linux tested: 2.5.4 and 2.6.4; on FreeBSD: 2.5.5 I can't find anything about this module in my book, and googling keyword IN looks like seamless ...

  • Javascript - proper getAttributeNode on IE6+

    - by Darrow
I have a regular input box (no onchange attribute). <input type="text" id="bar" name="bar" /> For some reason, IE6+ does returns [object], while FF and Chrome returns null. if ((elem.getAttributeNode('onchange')) != null) elem.onchange(); I did also try as: if (typeof(elem.onchange) !== 'undefined') elem.onchange(); What would be the proper cross-browser way to check if the element has the attribute? Thanks

  • What is a Managed Prototype?

    - by Vidar
I just need clarification on what a managed prototype is. I think it is a method that uses the DLLImport attribute and has a method like so: [DllImport("user32.dll")] private static extern int MessageBox(IntPtr hWnd, String text, String caption, uint type); Does it always mean this i.e you must have a DLLImport attribute and then a method signiture which is a private static extern??? Cheers

  • Is is possible to create a factory class in PHP?

    - by user198729
Like the BeanFactory in java: In the much more common case where the BeanFactory itself directly creates the bean by calling its constructor (equivalent to Java code calling new), the class attribute specifies the class of the bean to be constructed. In the less common case where the BeanFactory calls a static, so-called factory method on a class to create the bean, the class attribute specifies the actual class containing the static factory method. Note:it's not the factory method

  • getAttribute cannot return class in IE7?

    - by Nir
I need to find random nodes according to random attribute values. To do that I use getAtrribute on nodes from getElementsByTagName. It seems like when I look for class name as attribute it does not work on IE (works on FF). Anyone know if getAtrribute doesn't work only on 'class' or other attributes as well? (if its only class I'll do a workaround.)

  • How to stop attributes from being pickled in Python

    - by Ries
I am using gnosis.xml.pickle to convert an object of my own class to xml. The object is initialized so that: self.logger = MyLogger() But when I do dump the object to a string I get an exception stating that the pickler encountered an unpickleable type . Is there a way to 'tag' the logger attribute so that pickler will know not to try and pickle that attribute?

  • Issue with TagBuilder.MergeAttribute for parameter null

    - by The Yur
I would like to use Razor's feature not to produce attribute output inside a tag in case when attribute's value is null. So when Razor meets <div class="@var" where @var is null, the output will be mere <div. I've created some Html extension method to write text inside tag. The method takes header text, level (h1..h6), and html attributes as simple object. The code is: public static MvcHtmlString WriteHeader(this HtmlHelper html, string s, int? hLevel = 1, object htmlAttributes = null) { if ((hLevel == null) || (hLevel < 1 || hLevel > 4) || (s.IsNullOrWhiteSpace())) return new MvcHtmlString(""); string cssClass = null, cssId = null, cssStyle = null; if (htmlAttributes != null) { var T = htmlAttributes.GetType(); var propInfo = T.GetProperty("class"); var o = propInfo.GetValue(htmlAttributes); cssClass = o.ToString().IsNullOrWhiteSpace() ? null : o.ToString(); propInfo = T.GetProperty("id"); o = propInfo.GetValue(htmlAttributes); cssId = o.ToString().IsNullOrWhiteSpace() ? null : o.ToString(); propInfo = T.GetProperty("style"); o = propInfo.GetValue(htmlAttributes); cssStyle = o.ToString().IsNullOrWhiteSpace() ? null : o.ToString(); } var hTag = new TagBuilder("h" + hLevel); hTag.MergeAttribute("id", cssId); hTag.MergeAttribute("class", cssClass); hTag.MergeAttribute("style", cssStyle); hTag.InnerHtml = s; return new MvcHtmlString(hTag.ToString()); } I found that in spite of null values for "class" and "style" attributes TagBuilder still puts them as empty strings, like <h1 class="" style="" But for id attribute it surprisingly works, so when id's value is null, there is no id attribute in tag. My question - is such behavior something that should actually happen? How can I achieve absent attributes with null values using TagBuilder? I tried this in VS2013, MVC 5.

  • Is there a straightforward way to have a ThreadStatic instance member?

    - by Dan Tao
With the ThreadStatic attribute I can have a static member of a class with one instance of the object per thread. This is really handy for achieving thread safety using types of objects that don't guarantee thread-safe instance methods (e.g., System.Random). It only works for static members, though. Is there some corresponding attribute that provides the same functionality, but for instance members? In other words, that allows me to have one instance of the object, per thread, per instance of the containing class?

  • Generating the input id with an ActiveRecord model

    - by swilliams

For example, if I have a model of Person with a first_name attribute, the form helper prints out a textbox with this html: <input type="text" id="person_first_name" /> How can I generate that person_first_name from some other place in the code (like in a controller or some place)?

  • without wrapping jQuery search result

    - by uzay95
ASP.NET is changing id, name values according to control's parent control name. That's why i am searching id with JQUERY as below. // $ is looking to the end of "id" attribute of input elements $("input[id$='cbAddToNews']") Only one element is returning by jQuery. But when i want to change the attribute, I'm using this syntax: $($("input[id$='cbAddToNews']")[0]).show() Is there any way to do this without wrapping it with $(...[0]) ?
