• Dynamically generate XPath expression using XML data

  Hi! I would like to dynamically create XPath expressions in an XSL determined by data in an XML file. (i.e. the XML data is "concatenated" to create an XPath expression). Example of XML data: AAA BBB CCC Example of how I would like the XPath expression to look like: //AAA | //BBB | //CCC And this dynamic generation needs to be done in an XSL file. I am fairly new to XSL (and family) and would appreciate some general direction on how to tackle this problem. Thanks!

• Firefox ignoring padding

  I have this CSS code: #tweet-container{ width: 290px; height: 272px; border: 1px solid #CCC; color: #CCC; font-size: 28px; text-align: center; letter-spacing: -2px; min-height: 10px; display: table-cell; vertical-align: middle; padding: 15px; } But firefox doesn't seem to recognize the top and bottom padding. Safari and Chrome both show it normally, and even in Firebug when I add padding-top: it doesn't work. Its like its not a valid statement or something. Is there something I'm missing?

  Hi all, is it possible to map a string field with a particular format like: aaa,bbb,ccc,ddd into a List having elements [aaa, bbb, ccc, ddd] using iBatis? • Possible to load an Enum based on a string name?

  OK, I don't think the title says it right... but here goes: I have a class with about 40 Enums in it. i.e: Class Hoohoo { public enum aaa : short { a = 0, b = 3 } public enum bbb : short { a = 0, b = 3 } public enum ccc : short { a = 0, b = 3 } } Now say I have a Dictionary of strings and values, and each string is the name of above mentioned enums: Dictionary<string,short>{"aaa":0,"bbb":3,"ccc":0} I need to change "aaa" into HooBoo.aaa to look up 0. Can't seem to find a way to do this since the enum is static. Otherwise I'll have to write a method for each enum to tie the string to it. I can do that but thats mucho code to write. Thanks, Cooter

I'm need to write an stored procedure for SQL Server 2008 for performing some huge select query and I need filter it results with specifying filtering type via procedure's parameters (parameterize where clause). If i am importing in access to get only the data i want out, i have to do a thousands subqueries to get them all in a nice table. Basically i just want to see for one Object all its data (one object - One row) and then just delete/hide the columns i don't need.

• Test For CSS3 Radial Gradient Vendor Syntax

  I'm having an issue where I'm trying to update the background gradient of an element with JavaScript based on values I specify. I tried this route: elem.style.backgroundImage = '-webkit-gradient(radial, '+x+' '+y+', 0, '+x+' '+y+', 800, from(#ccc), to(#333)), -moz-radial-gradient('+x+'px '+y+'px, circle cover, #ccc 0, #333 100%)'; Since Webkit and Gecko have two different syntaxes for CSS3 gradients, I need to specify both. However, the above code doesn't work. It works if I only have just the Gecko syntax or just the Webkit syntax, not both. I think you can check for CSS gradient support, but my question is, is there a way to check which syntax needs to be used without browser sniffing? Keep in mind that I need to set my gradients this way since the x and y coordinates of the gradient change dynamically. Hope this makes sense, thanks.

I tried checking the event log for errors, but found nothing. Or more precisely, I did find local an activation permission error, but this was fixed once I added local launch/activation permission for Network Service to the Machine Debug Manager via the component services tool. • Can a repeated piece of regular expression create multiple groups? Such as this example...

  Hi guys, I'm using RUBY 's regular expression to deal with text such as ${1:aaa|bbbb} ${233:aaa | bbbb | ccc ccccc } ${34: aaa | bbbb | cccccccc |d} ${343: aaa | bbbb | cccccccc |dddddd ddddddddd} ${3443:a aa|bbbb|cccccccc|d} ${353:aa a| b b b b | c c c c c c c c | dddddd} I want to get the trimed text between each pipe line. For example, for the first line of my upper example, I want to get the result aaa and bbbb, for the second line, I want aaa, bbbb and ccc ccccc. Now I have wrote a piece of regular expression and a piece of ruby code to test it: array = "${33:aaa|bbbb|cccccccc}".scan(/\$\{\s*(\d+)\s*:(\s*[^\|]+\s*)(?:\|(\s*[^\|]+\s*))+\}/) puts array Now my problem is the (?:\|(\s*[^\|]+\s*))+ part can't create multiple groups. I don't know how to solve this problem, because the number of text I need in each line is variable. Anyone can help? Great thanks.

• Use LINQ to count the number of combinations existing in two lists

  I'm trying to create a LINQ query (or queries) that count the total number of occurences of a combinations of items in one list that exist in a different list. For example, take the following lists: CartItems DiscountItems ========= ============= AAA AAA AAA BBB AAA BBB BBB CCC CCC DDD The result of the query operation should be 2 since I can find two combinations of AAA and BBB (from DiscountItems) within the contents of CartItems. My thinking in approaching the query is to join the lists together to shorten CartItems to only include items from DiscountItems. The solution would be to find the CartItem in the resulting query that occurs the least amount of times, thus indicating how many combinations of items exist in CartItems. How can this be done? Here's the query I already have, but it's not working. query results in an enumeration with 100 items, far more than I expected. • problem in `delete-directory` with enabled `delete-by-removing-to-trash`

  There is a strange behavior of delete-directory function with enabled flag delete-by-removing-to-trash. It deletes files one by one instead of applying move-file-to-trash to the directory. As a result emacs deletes big directories slowly and there are many files in the trash after deleting, so it is impossible to restore the directory. Example: Directory structure: ddd/ ccc/ 1.txt There are three files in the trash after deleting ddd: trash/ ddd/ ccc/ 1.txt instead of one: trash/ ddd/ It is very slow, because emacs traverse directory recursively. I can't restore deleted directory. What i need is exactly the same behavior as of move-file-to-trash. But it should be transparent (i.e. 'D x' in dired mode). How to solve the problem? As a temporary solution i see the making advice function for `delete-directory'.

• Css menu hovering background color problem

• Windows XP over two monitors, but one of them switches off at boot... how to fix? How to switch bac

  When booting into XP (x64, Athlon II X2 245, 4GB RAM), my main monitor (got two 19" TFTs hooked up, two gfx cards, a 4650 (1GB, the primary monitor's on this) and a 4350 (512MB)) switches off. Logging in blind (cursor down key, typing password) gets me one screen, the secondary. Booted correctly until about two days ago. No clue what's the cause, last change was (if I don't overlook something) installing the ATI 9-12 hotfix. And booting into Windows 7, after returning from 7, it was like this. For some weird reason, I cannot start Catalyst Control Center (I right-click desktop, choose the CCC entry, the pointer changes to hourglass for a half-second... and nothing. Likewise with "Properties"... I think, as all windows open on the primary (off) screen, and no entry appears in the task bar for Properties) Completely stumped. Windows 7, same setup, works w/o a hitch. The primary monitor appears to run in some unknown, but pretty low, resolution, as the mouse pointer only moves onto it at about half-height. But, w/o CCC or display properties, I cannot check. And, obviously, not change anything. Hope this was not too long-winded. And I'm sure I still forgot essential stuff. :P

• How should I configure my Apache Hosts File to serve a different site for localhost than for my domain/publicip?

  I'm trying to test out a LAMP (with PHP5 specifically) setup with Django already serving a website. I want to do the PHP stuff on localhost for now, so that when I do something like this: curl http://localhost/database/script.php?var=1, I get a response from the php server. Right now I'm getting a Django error. I tried something like this in the default file in sites-available: Listen 80 <VirtualHost aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd> ServerName localhost DocumentRoot /home/phpsite </VirtualHost> where aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd is the local ip address, and changing my actual site's settings to specify the public ip, like this: Listen 80 <VirtualHost www.xxx.yyy.zzz> ServerName mysite.com DocumentRoot /srv/www/mysite WSGIScriptAlias / /srv/www/mysite.wsgi </VirtualHost> but then I start getting all kinds of errors when I start apache, such as port ::[80] is already in use or something. I noticed that the hosts file that's located in /etc/apache2/ is apparently pointing everything to mysite.com, including my local ip as well as 127.0.0.1 and 127.0.1.1; Do I need to change the configuration there too?

  In this case, I've developed a CSS code for this web application ..and sometimes the resulting data is too small and the footer of the site appears in the middle of the page and looks odd. I'd like to push that whitespace of the background to the browser's bottom and then followed by a footer. AND if the page is long, that text won't get overlapped by the footer. Can someone help me out with this code right here? • using XSL to replace XML nodes with new nodes

  I need an XSL solution to replace XML nodes with new nodes. Say I have the following existing XML structure: <root> <criteria> <criterion>AAA</criterion> </criteria> </root> And I want to replace the one criterion node with: <criterion>BBB</criterion> <criterion>CCC</criterion> <criterion>DDD</criterion> So that the final XML result is: <root> <criteria> <criterion>BBB</criterion> <criterion>CCC</criterion> <criterion>DDD</criterion> </criteria> </root> I have tried using substring-before and substring-after to just copy the first half of the structure, then just copy the second half (in order to fill in my new nodes in between the two halves) but it appears that the substring functions only recognize text in between the nodes' tags, and not the tags themselves like I want them to. :( :( Any other solutions?
