  • Infinite loop during A* algorithm

    The A* algorithm is used by enemies to have a path to the goal. It's working but when sometimes I placed a tower in a grid (randomly) it produces a stack overflow error. The A* algorithm would iterate the enemy and find its path and pass the list to the enemy's path. I added debug logs and the list that I'm getting it looks like it would arrive from start cell to goal cell.   • Custom Event - invokation list implementation considerations

    I'm looking for some pointers on implementing Custom Events in VB.NET (Visual Studio 2008, .NET 3.5). I know that "regular" (non-custom) Events are actually Delegates, so I was thinking of using Delegates when implementing a Custom Event. On the other hand, Andrew Troelsen's "Pro VB 2008 and the .NET 3.5 Platform" book uses Collection types in all his Custom Events examples, and Microsoft's sample codes match that line of thought. So my question is: what considerations should I have when choosing one design over the other? What are the pros and cons for each design? Which of these resembles the inner-implementation of "regular" events? Below is a sample code demonstrating the two designs.     Here is the scenario: On column A each cell has random text within it (names, address, account numbers, etc). Column A extends down to over 40 thousand rows. On column B I have a list of (account) numbers. Column B extends down to about 5 thousand rows. I need to filter column A to show only the rows that contain the account numbers that are part of column B. Neither column A nor B are in any specific order. I think he above scenario speaks for itself, but I can provide a quick example if needed (don't want to over complicate it).

    I have a Custom Search Engine that I've created with AdSense. I've put that search engine as a site search in my Google Sites page. I've connected both the Custom Search Engine and the Google Site to my Analytics page via their settings pages. Now, I'm trying to get Analytics to show me the AdSense for Search statistics. I've managed to connect the Google Sites page, to the Analytics, and I can see the search statistics in the Analytics as well. But I can't get it to show the actual AdSense for Search statistics from the Custom Search Engine. How can I configure everything so I can get the AdSense for Search statistics of my Custom Search Engine in my Analytics page?

    This is my first question, I hope to do it right! I'm creating a custom report in G.A. because I have implemented the typical custom variable to track logged/anonymous users. To do it I choose the "unique table" type, 2 dimensions values (custom variable key and value) and visits metrics scope. When I generate the report, some strange, unknown variables appears! There is my custom variable: user kind with its 2 possible values, and some unexpected others like: Cuevana Plugin UnderHen Plugin Z Plugin CL and so on... I don't know from where they come (Cuevana plugin had viruses isn't it?) but I know I don't want to see them. Does it exists any way to delete or filter them? Thank you

  • TableViewCell autorelease error

    OK, for two days now i have been trying to solve an error i have inside the cellForRowAtIndex method, let start by saying that i have tracked down the bug to this method, the error is [CFDictionary image] or [Not a Type image] message sent to deallocated instance. I know about the debug flags, NSZombie, MallocStack, and others, they helped me narrow it down to this method and why, but I do not know how to solve besides a redesign of the app UI.     i'm trying to set up a custom search ad, but I am nost sure about the query. On the site it says (https://developers.google.com/custom-search-ads/docs/implementation-guide) 'query' should be dynamic based on your page. This variable targets the ads and therefore should always match what the user on your site has just performed a search for. Now, what I understand is: I have to program my page so that the query variable contains some custom words. Am I right? If a user gets to my site through clicking on an adsense, there is no way to "know" what the user looked for and display my query accordingly, right? Thanks for any help!

  • Table cell in a split-view controller - selected cell becomes deselected when called by reloadData

    I'm working on a universal app that uses a SplitViewController to present a master-detail view. In the iPad HIG on Split Views, Apple states: In general, indicate the current selection in the left pane in a persistent way. This behavior helps people understand the relationship between the item in the left pane and the contents of the right pane. This is important because the contents of the right pane can change, but they should always remain related to the item selected in the left pane. So I'm trying to maintain selection state on the left. Easy enough when the user taps, I just remove the deselectRowAtIndexPath:animated: message from tableView:didSelectRowAtIndexPath: implementation. But, I also want the selection state to show up by default (without a user tap). I wound up putting this in my tableView:cellForRowAtIndexPath: implementation: if (UI_USER_INTERFACE_IDIOM() == UIUserInterfaceIdiomPad) { if (cellShouldBeSelected) cell.selected = YES; else cell.selected = NO; } The behavior I'm seeing, is that when the cells finall appear, for a fraction of a section the cell is indeed selected, but then the selection disappears without any user interaction. Any ideas? I set the new clearsSelectionOnViewWillAppear property to NO, but that doesn't seem to fix it, and it shouldn't really matter because I'm marking the cell as selected long after viewWillAppear is called - I'm actually doing it after some network activity and then sending the table view a reloadData message.

You can download it here. Add the jQuery scripts and css theme to your project and add references to them in your master page. Creating the AutoComplete Custom Attribute The auto complete attribute will derive from the abstract MetadataAttribute created in my previous post. The parameter name will be used for passing the search text within the auto complete text box. The constructor then creates a new RouteValueDictionary which we will use later to construct the url for getting the auto complete results via ajax. The main interesting method is the method override called Process. With the process method, the route value dictionary is added to the modelMetaData AdditionalValues collection. The TemplateHint is also set to AutoComplete, this means that when the view model is parsed for display, the MVC 2 framework will look for a view user control template called AutoComplete, if it finds one, it uses that template to display the property. The View Model To show you how the attribute will look, this is the view model I have used in my example which can be downloaded at the end of this post. The AutoComplete Template Now all of this is in place, it’s time to create the AutoComplete template. Firstly, the property name and property value are retrieved through the model meta data. These are required to ensure that the text box input has the correct name and data to allow for model binding. If you look at line 14 you can see them being used in the text box input creation. The interesting bit is on line 8 and 9, this is the code to retrieve the route value dictionary we added into the model metada via the custom attribute. Line 11 is used to create the url, in order to do this I created a quick helper class which looks like the code below titled RouteHelper. The last bit of script is the code to initialise the jQuery UI AutoComplete control with the correct url for calling back to our controller action.     Okay here's the situation.... I'm working on a my business website. There will be a work/portfolio area. "Work" is a custom post type. "Designer" is a custom user role. "Client" is a custom user role. In creating a new "Work" post I would like to be able to select both a "designer" and "Client" to assign to the piece of work, as I would assign an author to a regular ol' post.   • Custom cell in list in Flash AS3

    I am no expert in Flash, and I need some quick help here, without needing to learn everything from scratch. Short story, I have to make a list where each cell contains an image, two labels, and a button. List/Cell example: img - label - label - button img - label - label - button As a Java-programmer, I have tried to quicly learn the syntax and visualness of Flash and AS3, but with no luck so far. I have fairly understood the basics of movie clips etc. I saw a tutorial on how to add a list, and add some text to it. So I dragged in a list, and in the code went list.addItem({label:"hello"}); , and that worked ofc. So i thought if I double-clicked the MC of the list, i would get to tweak some things. In there I have been wandering around different halls of cell-renderers etc. I have now come to the point that I entered the CellRenderer_skinUp or something, and customized it to my liking. When this was done, I expected i could use list.addItem(); and get an empty "version" of my cell, with the img, labels and the button. But AS3 expects an input in addItem. From my object-oriented view, I am thinking that i have to create an object of the cell i have made, but i have no luck reaching it.. I tried to go var test:CellRenderer = list.listItem; list.addItem(test); ..But with no luck. This is just for funsies, but I really want to make this work, however not so much that I am willing to read up on ALOT of Flash and AS3. I felt that I was closing in on the prize, but the compiler expected a semicolon after the variable (list.addItem({test:something});). Note: If possible, I do NOT want this: list.addItem({image:"src",label:"text",label"text",button:"text"}); Well.. It actually is what I want, but I would really like to custom-draw everything. Does anyone get what I am trying to do, and has any answers for me? Am I approaching this the wrong way? I have searched the interwebs for custom list-cells, but with no luck.   • Starcraft 2 - Third Person Custom Map

    I would like to try my hand at creating a custom map in Starcraft 2 that has a third-person camera follow an individual unit. There are a few custom maps that exist with this feature already, so I do know this is possible. What I'm having trouble wrapping my head around are the features that are new to the SC2 map editor that didn't exist in the Warcraft 3 editor. For instance, to do a third-person map, do I need a custom mods file, or can everything be done in the map file? Regardless, is it worth using a mod file? What map settings do I NEED to edit/implement? Which are not necessary, but recommended?

  • Delete cell content in Libre (Open) Office based on the cell value

    I have a huge csv file (tens of thousands of rows) that I need to filter based on different criteria. After trying to find a proper CSV editor, I decided to use LibreOffice Calc. CSVed is great, but it doesn't support neither UTF-8 nor macros for advanced filtering. So, there are 4 columns, 3 of which contain numbers (with decimal numbers) and 1 of which contains text. I'm trying to find a way to delete rows with a macro code. I can achieve the desired behavior with filters too, but it's annoying to type all of the filtering values over and over again and there doesn't seem to be a way to export the filter and us it repeatedly. These rows should be deleted: The ones that don't contain certain words in textual column (column A). There are a few thousand different words used in that column and I want to keep only the rows that contain one of about 30 words in that column. Additionally, the number is the other columns should be bigger than 3.8 (column B), 4.5 (column C) and smaller than 20 (column C). The row-deletion type is "Shift up". Hopefully I have explained it well. Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

  • Excel: Find a specific cell and paste the value from a control cell into it

    I have two columns one containing the room number, e.g. B-CL102, the other containing a varying integer. I want to enter a different, manually determined, integer in a third column. Whether by macro or native Excel, is there a way to use two control cells at the top of the sheet, type the room number into one and the different integer matching that room into another. I have minimal experience with macros essentially just the basics. I tried to use a V-Lookup formula to look at the two control cells (Range) and then fill in the new column, however I don't know how to then fix that value so that it doesn't change when I change the values in the control cells.

I have a set of generic custom fields that are highly configurable from an end user perspective and the configuration is getting overbearing as there are nearly 100 plus items each custom field allows you to perform in the areas of Server/Client Validation, Server/Client Events/Actions, Server/Client Bindings parent/child, display properties for form/control, etc, etc. Right now I'm storing most of these values as "Text" in my field xml for my propertyschema. I'm very familiar with the multi column value, but this is not a complex custom type in sense it's an array. I also considered creating serilzable objects and stuffing them into the text field and then pulling out and de-serilizing them when editing through the field editor or acting on the rules through the custom spfield.   • updating dojo grid cell values in the server

    I am using dojo datagrid to display my data. When the end user edit the cell values it should be updated in the server using ajax calls(when the focus goes out of the cell). Else, I should have a Edit & update/cancel buttons for each row to handle the same feature. But I don know how to place edit & update buttons inside the grid and capture their events. By default dojo updates only local the store value(client side). how can I save the updated cell values into the server? do we need to write any override methods to do so?? I am new to dojo.
