  • No useful DVB-T card found

    I am using Ubuntu 12.04 3.2.0-26 kernel and I just added a DVB-T card. I did install the media_build as in (http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/How_to_Obtain,_Build_and_Install_V4L-DVB_Device_Drivers) After that the Restricted Drivers appeared on the screen and I installed the Firmware for DVB Cards. lsusb shows Bus 002 Device 005: ID 048d:9005 Integrated Technology Express, Inc. which is my card. lsmod shows these things regarding dvb dvb_usb_it913x 22173 0 dvb_usb 32369 1 dvb_usb_it913x dvb_core 110010 1 dvb_usb rc_core 26343 2 dvb_usb_it913x,dvb_usb Nevertheless there is no /dev/dvb on my linux and Kaffeine does not find the TV turner. Can anybody help me installing my TV Card? Thanks

    I need to develop a programm that is going to read some information from a special USB device and access information via Web Socket (socket.io preferred). My client wants to deploy this app on Mac OS X, Windows, Android and iOS. I was looking for development softwares valid for both: Desktop and Mobile, but it is still not clear for me and that´s what I found. Unity - Looks very good but to create a native plugin for reading from the device it lloks like I need the PRO edition. Adobe Air - Looks good but I´m not sure if I can write Native Plugins for all wanted platforms. LiveCode - Still inmature (lots of bugs) and I don´t know if it is possible to write native plugins for my device. Is there any other good platform for my case? What´s your option?

Im' developing a system to manage documents and I need make an URL like this: routes.MapRoute("Documentos", "{controller}/{documentType}/{documento}/{action}/{id}", new { controller = "Home", documentType = "", documento = "", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional }); and the app working an URL like theses: "Document/Administrative/Contract" - (Index action by default to list documents of type 'Contract') "Document/Administrative/Contract/New" - (new action in controller) "Document/Administrative/Contract/10" - (detail action in controller) "Document/Administrative/Contract/Edit/10" - (edit action in controller) Document would be a Controller, and Administrative would be just a description in url to identify that documents of 'Contract' is Administrative... So, My doubts is about my controllers and actions, How should be the signature of the methods of controller ? Need I make an Area called Documents to do this more easy ? PS: Sorry for my english!   • extract payload from tcpflow output

    Tcpflow outputs a bunch of files, many of which are HTTP responses from a web server. Inside, they contain HTTP headers, including Content-type: , and other important ones. I'm trying to write a script that can extract just the payload data (i.e. image/jpeg; text/html; et al.) and save it to a file [optional: with an appropriate name and file extension]. The EOL chars are \r\n (CRLF) and so this makes it difficult to use in GNU distros (in my experiences). I've been trying something along the lines of: sed /HTTP/,/^$/d To delete all text from the the beginning of HTTP (incl) to the end of \r\n\r\n (incl) but I have found no luck. I'm looking for help from anyone with good experience in sed and/or awk. I have zero experience with Perl, please I'd prefer to use common GNU command line utilities for this Find a sample tcpflow output file here. Thanks, Felipe

  • Tips on creating a "build a bracelet" app

    I have an idea for an app/game which is basically a build your own bracelet. I will give to the user, say, 5 different types of beads, and the user and drag those beads into a line that is previously drawn in the screen and create his/her bracelet. I am now thinking on the best way to approach this. Would be using the android's OpenGL libraries (and therefore, creating the beads and loading its textures) the best and easiest way?   • Network Logon Issues with Group Policy and Network

    I am gravely in need of your help and assistance. We have a problem with our logon and startup to our Windows 7 Enterprise system. We have more than 3000 Windows Desktops situated in roughly 20+ buildings around campus. Almost every computer on campus has the problem that I will be describing. I have spent over one month peering over etl files from Windows Performance Analyzer (A great product) and hundreds of thousands of event logs. I come to you today humbled that I could not figure this out. The problem as simply put our logon times are extremely long. An average first time logon is roughly 2-10 minutes depending on the software installed. All computers are Windows 7, the oldest computers being 5 years old. Startup times on various computers range from good (1-2 minutes) to very bad (5-60). Our second time logons range from 30 seconds to 4 minutes. We have a gigabit connection between each computer on the network. We have 5 domain controllers which also double as our DNS servers. Initial testing led us to believe that this was a software problem. So I spent a few days testing machines only to find inconsistent results from the etl files from xperfview. Each subset of computers on campus had a different subset of software issues, none seeming to interfere with logon just startup. So I started looking at our group policy and located some very interesting event ID’s. Group Policy 1129: The processing of Group Policy failed because of lack of network connectivity to a domain controller. Group Policy 1055: The processing of Group Policy failed. Windows could not resolve the computer name. This could be caused by one of more of the following: a) Name Resolution failure on the current domain controller. b) Active Directory Replication Latency (an account created on another domain controller has not replicated to the current domain controller). NETLOGON 5719 : This computer was not able to set up a secure session with a domain controller in domain OURDOMAIN due to the following: There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request. This may lead to authentication problems. Make sure that this computer is connected to the network. If the problem persists, please contact your domain administrator. E1kexpress 27: Intel®82567LM-3 Gigabit Network Connection – Network link is disconnected. NetBT 4300 – The driver could not be created. WMI 10 - Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected. More or less with timestamps it becomes apparent that the network maybe the issue. 1:25:57 - Group Policy is trying to discover the domain controller information 1:25:57 - The network link has been disconnected 1:25:58 - The processing of Group Policy failed because of lack of network connectivity to a domain controller. This may be a transient condition. A success message would be generated once the machine gets connected to the domain controller and Group Policy has successfully processed. If you do not see a success message for several hours, then contact your administrator. 1:25:58 - Making LDAP calls to connect and bind to active directory.     I have a class Document which consists of Id (int) and Url (String). I would like to have a primary index on Id and secondary index on Url. I would also like to have a sequence for Id auto-incrementation. So I create a SecondaryDatabase and then I create a Sequence. I found a solution for it. $hostname server4.a.b.edu First I do: $ echo $DISPLAY localhost:10.0 then $ xauth list server1.a.b.edu/unix:12 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 6026864294a0e081ac452e8740bcd0fe server4.a.b.edu/unix:10 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 f01fbfe0c0d68e30b45afe3829b27e58 Then I need to do $ sudo xauth add server4.a.b.edu/unix:10 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 f01fbfe0c0d68e30b45afe3829b27e58 for sudo to work, for the cookie with my server name and display. How do I write a bash script to automate this?

  • LDAP installed, running, but can't connect remotely [Ubuntu 10.10]

    Hi all, I installed LDAP on my ubuntu 10.10 system, using the tutorial found here: https://help.ubuntu.com/10.10/serverguide/C/openldap-server.html Everything seems to be working well, when logged into the server via ssh I can run commands like: > ldapsearch -xLLL -b "dc=easydita,dc=com" uid=john sn givenName cn dn: uid=john,ou=people,dc=easydita,dc=com sn: Doe givenName: John cn: John Doe So I think that's a good sign that things are working well. However I have had zero luck connecting to the server remotely via GUI tools or command line. I have tied JXplorer, and LDAP administration tool.     I am trying to setup Wordpress Multisite, using subdirectories, with Nginx, php5-fpm, APC, and Batcache. As many other people, I am getting stuck in the rewrite rules for permalinks. When I try to log in my Github account, I get a "net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE" error. I tried with Chrome, Firefox and Opera. In Firefox, if a clean the cache and offline data, it works for a while. Then I can log in, but I still can't create a Github repository, even if I clear the cache again. My friend, in the same network, with Windows, can do whatever he wants on Github's web site, but I can't. I tried many DNS servers, I tried not to set it (my friend doesn't), but it's still not working. My OS: Ubuntu x64 12.04 Ideas, please. And thanks. Also, I can clone any repo but I can't push. I had to change to https://codeplane.com/ due to this problem, but I want to understand why it happens.     I installed Ubuntu 12.10 on my desktop, and it boot up ok, but I was having some artifacts, so I read somewhere that I needed nvidia drivers, I downloaded them, along with compiz (I enjoy the nice effects), but after that, when I rebooted the computer, the resolution was all messes up, and now I can't access anything because there is no launcher! I inserted Ubuntu CD, booted from the CD, the resolution was fine and eerything was OK, so I repaired the installation, but after restarting the computer it was all messed up again! Please help me! I'm running Ubuntu 12.10 on a Core i7 and a GTX 460 + GTX 280! How Ubuntu looks as soon as I turn on my computer on:

  • How to move an UIView along a curved CGPath according to user dragging the view

    I'm trying to build a interface that the user can move his finger around the screen an a list of images moves along a path. The idea is that the images center nevers leaves de path. Most of the things I found was about how to animate using CGPath and not about actually using the path as the track to a user movement. I need to objects to be tracked on the path even if the user isn't moving his fingers over the path. For example (image bellow), if the object is at the beginning of the path and the user touches anywhere on the screen and moves his fingers from left to right I need that the object moves from left to right but following the path, that is, going up as it goes to the right towards the path's end. This is the path I've draw, imagine that I'll have a view (any image) that the user can touch and drag it along the path, there's no need to move the finger exactly over the path. If the user move from left to right the image should move from left to right but going up if need following the path.   • 2D SAT How to find collision center or point or area?

    I've just implemented collision detection using SAT and this article as reference to my implementation. The detection is working as expected but I need to know where both rectangles are colliding. I need to find the center of the intersection, the black point on the image above. I've found some articles about this but they all involve avoiding the overlap or some kind of velocity, I don't need this. I just need to put a image on top of it. Like two cars crashed so I put an image on top of the collision. Any ideas? ## Update The information I've about the rectangles are the four points that represents them, the upper right, upper left, lower right and lower left coordinates. I'm trying to find an algorithm that can give me the intersection of these points.

  • Xcode Video From UITableView [migrated]

    I have created different UITableViews. Each of these are dynamic tables that contain NSarrays of words. Right now When a cell is tabbed it takes the user to another View (simple view controller) that has a label and a UIImageview that displays a picture. My problem is that I also want to show video. Some of these words need to show pictures, and others need to show video. I have shown video before but I have done it using a button. I need help! I would appreciate if you guys could help here. Again, Im trying to show a video from a UITableView after the user tabs a cell. (I have many videos not just one, so dynamically would be better if possible)
