  • TextMate GetBundle stopped working in Snow Leopard

    It seems that I am no longer able to Get Bundles using TextMate after upgrading to Snow Leopard. I get the following error message. Googling shows no solutions. I have updated to the latest GetBundle via svn to no avail. /Applications/TextMate.app/Contents/SharedSupport/Support/lib/osx/plist.bundle: dlopen(/Applications/TextMate.app/Contents/SharedSupport/Support/lib/osx/plist.bundle, 9): no suitable image found.   • How to compile a gvim from source using the latest version

I performed the following commands in the vim source folder: sudo apt-get build-dep vim ./configure --with-features=huge --enable-gui=gtk2 --enable-rubyinterp=yes --enable-pythoninterp=yes make sudo make install I have found that related posts but fail in Ubuntu 13.04 Update: sorry for not providing enough error msg here is the error after do the .configure checking --enable-gui argument... no GUI support How can i let the system to find the GUI library? I have try to do apt-get build-dep vim the gui lib should be included, but no luck what else can i do? i have also tried --enable-gui=<auto, gtk, gtk2, gnome2> all of them show the same error no GUI support...

  • ReadyNAS issue with Google Apps?

    The power went out (again) in my house today so I decided to set up some alerting. Since I have a ReadyNAS and the latest version of Raidinator seems to have SMTP TLS support, I figured I would try setting things up to email to a domain I have hosted on Google Apps. At this point, I have everything working IF I use a Gmail account but as soon as I switch to a Google Apps email address, it stops working and complains with smtpstatus=535 smtpmsg='535-5.7.1 Username and Password not accepted. Learn more at \n535 5.7.1 http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=14257 30sm16076226wfd.23' errormsg='authentication failed (GNU SASL, method PLAIN)' exitcode=EX_NOPERM I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this. Google's extremely aggressive captcha does not help but I am able to log in now without a captcha from a browser so I'm open to any ideas why the simple switch of a user/password combo that is supposed to work does not. I'm also attaching my config so that others can see how to set things up.

    Sorry that I can't be very specific, only symtoms are provided: Monday morning a CentOS box, 1GB ram, Pentium 4 web server (thin, rails) does not response (too slow) to a browser of another PC ping it, ok ssh into it, ok a few minutes later, the web server is back to normal speed, serving web requests well ping it, ok ssh into it, ok however, top does not run what should I look at, about this 'top does not run' symptom? thx

  • What are "Missing thread recordng" erros when running fsck -fy ?

    There is some error reported when I run Disk Utility and verify the root volume on my OS X MacBook. So I boot and CMD-S into the shell mode and run /sbin/fsck -fy. Errors are like: ** Checking catalog file. Missing thread record (id = ...) In correct number of thread records ** Checking catalog hierarchy. Invalid volume file count (It should be ... instead of ...) ** Repairing Volume Missing directory record (id = ...) I'd like to know what is the cause of the above errors? Hopefully I will be more careful in the future to prevent them from happening again. p.s. I am using a SSD and so I assume mechanical hard disk error is less likely. Thanks!

  • Snow Leopard crashes my Xerox printer

    Just set up 2 brand new iMac 21.5" with OS X 10.6.2 pre-installed in our office. Now whenever we try to print an e-mail out, it re-sets the printer i.e. it switches off, does a POST and prints out a Printer Config page. I can print web pages and from other apps fine, just Apple Mail seems to be suffering. Printer is a Xerox Phaser 7750. I downloaded the drivers it recommended when i first tried printing which didn't help and then also tried downloading from the Xerox site. The latter seemed to install fine but then right at the end, it would say 'Installation Successful', then ask me to choose a printer (it found it fine, both by Bonjour and Raw TCP - i tried both) and then it would give an error message. Any help appreciated.

  • Outlook 2003 won't send mail

    A colleague's e-mail has just started playing up - he's using Outlook/Office 2003 on a Win XP SP3 machine. Yesterday his mail has suddenly stopped being received, although there are no errors of any kind that i can see. It was only noticed because he didn't have any replys all day. His e-mails seem to send fine - no errors come up, the mail goes into Sent Items as usual, but it never arrives at it's destination. However, when mail is sent from Outlook Web Access, e-mails send fine. All connections to the server appear fine and outlook is 'connected' but I've had a look at the message tracking on our Exchange 2003 server and no messages are appearing when sent from outlook, only when sent through OWA. Where should i be looking ? Thanks.

    A colleague has noticed random messages being deleted from her Apple Mailboxes. e.g. Message sent to client - client replies - original message nowhere to be found. Not in sent items/sent messages/junk/trash. No rules set up. Have tried rebuilding mailboxes but message doesn't show up. Quite worrying really as it was only noticed by chance so don't know how long/how widespread it is. Mail is controlled by Exchange 2003 server.     I have the same slideshow in the exact same folder (C:\Images) on two computers which are syncing their settings over the Microsoft account (mail and other settings synced normally), and I have independently configured them to display wallpaper slideshows from that folder.     A lot of PDFs are stored inside MySQL as a BLOB field for each PDF file. The average file size is 500K each. The Rails app will stream the :binary data as file downloads, where there is a user click on the download link. Assume there is a maximum of 5 users downloading 5 PDFs concurrently, what kind of deployment setup parameters I should be aware of? e.g. for the case of thin: thin start --servers 3 whether --servers 3 is good enough (or 5 or more is needed) for the above example? The 2nd question is whether 'thin' a capable solution? Thanks!

    I wrote a prime number generator using Sieve of Eratosthenes and Python 3.1. The code runs correctly and gracefully at 0.32 seconds on ideone.com to generate prime numbers up to 1,000,000. # from bitstring import BitString def prime_numbers(limit=1000000): '''Prime number generator. Yields the series 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29 ... using Sieve of Eratosthenes. ''' yield 2 sub_limit = int(limit**0.5) flags = [False, False] + [True] * (limit - 2) # flags = BitString(limit) # Step through all the odd numbers for i in range(3, limit, 2): if flags[i] is False: # if flags[i] is True: continue yield i # Exclude further multiples of the current prime number if i <= sub_limit: for j in range(i*3, limit, i<<1): flags[j] = False # flags[j] = True The problem is, I run out of memory when I try to generate numbers up to 1,000,000,000. flags = [False, False] + [True] * (limit - 2) MemoryError As you can imagine, allocating 1 billion boolean values (1 byte 4 or 8 bytes (see comment) each in Python) is really not feasible, so I looked into bitstring. I figured, using 1 bit for each flag would be much more memory-efficient. However, the program's performance dropped drastically - 24 seconds runtime, for prime number up to 1,000,000. This is probably due to the internal implementation of bitstring. You can comment/uncomment the three lines to see what I changed to use BitString, as the code snippet above. My question is, is there a way to speed up my program, with or without bitstring?
