    Hi, I'm trying to map a C structure to Java using JNA. I came across something that I've never seen. The struct definition is as follow, struct op { unsigned op_type:9; //---> what does this means? unsigned op_opt:1; unsigned op_latefree:1; unsigned op_latefreed:1; unsigned op_attached:1; unsigned op_spare:3; U8 op_flags; U8 op_private; }; you can see some variable being defined like unsigned op_attached:1 and I'm unsure what would that mean: would that effect number of bytes to be allocated for this particular variable? any help?     Hi, I'm new to the Ruby and Ruby on Rails world. I've read some guides, but i've some trouble with the following syntax. I think that the usage of :condition syntax is used in Ruby to define a class attribute with some kind of accessor, like: class Sample attr_accessor :condition end that implicitly declares the getter and setter for the "condition" property. While i was looking at some Rails sample code, i found the following examples that i don't fully understand. For example: @post = Post.find(params[:id]) Why it's accessing the id attribute with this syntax, instead of: @post = Post.find(params[id]) Or, for example: @posts = Post.find(:all) Is :all a constant here? If not, what does this code really means? If yes, why the following is not used: @posts = Post.find(ALL) Thanks

    I've tried to develop a simple winform utility which is using xml file as its database. I've used VS 2008 express edition, C#. When this utility tries to write into the xml file then this error is displayed on other computer.     I inherited a project (lucky me!) which relies on a static library. Trying to build the static lib, I get this error: /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/libtool: -dynamic not specified the following flags are invalid: -ObjC It is followed by these two lines, which I do understand, but this appears to be a separate problem (missing file.) /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/libtool: can't locate file for: -lFlurryWithLocation /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/libtool: file: -lFlurryWithLocation is not an object file (not allowed in a library) Command /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/usr/bin/libtool failed with exit code 1 Am I wrong, and it's all related? Will the 1st line error go away if I fix the missing file part? Either way, what does the -dynamic not specified part of message mean? Thanks!

  • OpenCV's cvKMeans2 - chosing clusters

    Hi, I'm using cvKMeans2 for clustering, but I'm not sure, how it works in general - the part of choosing clusters. I thought that it set the first positions of clusters from given samples. So it means that in the end of clustering process would every cluster has at least one sample - in the output array of cluster labels will be full range of numbers (for 100 clusters - numbers 0 to 99). But as I checked output labels, I realised that some labels weren't used at all and only some were used. So, does anyone know, how it works? Or how should I use the parameters of cvKMeans2 to do what I want (cause I'm not sure if I use them right)? I'm using cvKMeans2 function also with optional parameters: cvKMeans2(descriptorMat, N_CLUSTERS, clusterLabels, cvTermCriteria( CV_TERMCRIT_EPS+CV_TERMCRIT_ITER, 10, 1.0), 1, 0, 0, clusterCenters, 0) Thanks for any advices!

  • C# best means to store data locally when offline

    I am in the midst of writing a small program (more to experiment with vs 2010 than anything else) Despite being an experiment it has some practical use for our local athletics club. My thought was to access the DB (currently online) to download the current members and store locally on a laptop (this is a MS sql table, used to power the club's website). take the laptop to the event (yes there ARE places that don't have internet coverage), add members to that days race (also a row from a sql table (though no changes would be made to this), record results (new records in 3rd table) Once home, showered and within internet access again, upload/edit the tables as per the race results/member changes etc. So I was thinking i'd do something like write xml files locally with the data, including a field to indicate changes etc? If anyone can point me in a direction i would appreciate it...hell if anyone could tell me if this has a name!!..I'd appreciate it TIA Michael Artz
