Stacking standard output of `su`

I've got some code that I wrote that uses a combination of bash and PHP command line scripting. The script is ran as root and then uses su to become various uses. I start a session like this: $result = `su SomeUser ./dothis.php` Here ./dothis.php is a script that may generate some output being stored in $result, but the problem is that there is usually output that doesn't get caught and makes it hard for me to read my script output. How can I make sure that the output is being captured within this su stacking?

Paralell development Branches w/ Bazaar

I have two branches (or tags?) where I need to keep the same file structure with different versioned contents. One version contains everything, like development scripts, configuration files, etc. while the other contains only things that get redistributed. How can I accomplish this using Bazaar?

Remove/squash entries in a vertical hash

Let's say [17,3] = Raphael does not have an element in front of if (let's say - no [16,3] exists) then [17,3] should become [16,3] etc. So basically all empty items will be popped off the vertical (row) structure of the hash. Are there functions I should have a look at or is there an easy squash-like method that would just remove blanks and adjust and move other items? Thanks in advance for your help.
