  • How to get raw jpeg data (but no metatags / proprietary markers)

    - by CoolAJ86
I want to get raw jpeg data - no metadata. I'm very confused looking at the jpeg "standards". How correct is my understanding of the marker "tree"? 0xFFD8 - Identifies the file as an image 0xFFE? - EXIF, JFIF, SPIFF, ICC, etc 0x???? - the length of the tag 0xFFD8 - Start of Image 0xFFE0 - should follow SOI as per spec, but often preceded by comments ??? 0x???? - Matrices, tags, random data ??? There are never other markers in-between these markers? Or these include the matrices and such? 0xFFDA - Start of Stream - This is what I want, yes? 0xXXXX - length of stream 0xFFD9 - End of Stream (EOI) 0x???? - Comment tags, extra exif, jfif info??? 0xFFD9 - End of Image 0xFF00 - escaped 0xFF, not to be confused with a marker This has been my reading material: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JPEG http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/TagNames/JPEG.html http://www.media.mit.edu/pia/Research/deepview/exif.html http://www.faqs.org/faqs/jpeg-faq/part1/section-15.html

  • Adding simple marker clusterer to google map

    - by take2
Hi, I'm having problems with adding marker clusterer functionality to my map. What I want is to use custom icon for my markers and every marker has its own info window which I want to be able to edit. I did accomplish that, but now I have problems adding marker clusterer library functionality. I read something about adding markers to array, but I'm not sure what would it exactly mean. Besides, all of the examples with array I have found, don't have info windows and searching through the code I didn't find appropriate way to add them. Here is my code (mostly from Geocodezip.com): <script type="text/javascript" src="http://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?sensor=false"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://google-maps-utility-library-v3.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/markerclusterer/src/markerclusterer.js"></script> <style type="text/css"> html, body { height: 100%; } </style> <script type="text/javascript"> //<![CDATA[ var map = null; function initialize() { var myOptions = { zoom: 8, center: new google.maps.LatLng(43.907787,-79.359741), mapTypeControl: true, mapTypeControlOptions: {style: google.maps.MapTypeControlStyle.DROPDOWN_MENU}, navigationControl: true, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP } map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map_canvas"), myOptions); var mcOptions = {gridSize: 50, maxZoom: 15}; var mc = new MarkerClusterer(map, [], mcOptions); google.maps.event.addListener(map, 'click', function() { infowindow.close(); }); // Add markers to the map // Set up three markers with info windows var point = new google.maps.LatLng(43.65654,-79.90138); var marker1 = createMarker(point,'Abc'); var point = new google.maps.LatLng(43.91892,-78.89231); var marker2 = createMarker(point,'Abc'); var point = new google.maps.LatLng(43.82589,-79.10040); var marker3 = createMarker(point,'Abc'); var markerArray = new Array(marker1, marker2, marker3); mc.addMarkers(markerArray, true); } var infowindow = new google.maps.InfoWindow( { size: new google.maps.Size(150,50) }); function createMarker(latlng, html) { var image = '/321.png'; var contentString = html; var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: latlng, map: map, icon: image, zIndex: Math.round(latlng.lat()*-100000)<<5 }); google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'click', function() { infowindow.setContent(contentString); infowindow.open(map, marker); }); } //]]> </script>

  • Detecting Markers Using OpenCV

    - by Hamza Yerlikaya
I am trying to detect various objects containing colored markers, so a red blue green marker identifies object A, and a red blue red marker identifies object B. My problem is I can't use template matching cause objects can be rotated, currently I am thinking about check for each color then find the object by checking the distance between colors but it seems inefficient, so my question is there a better way to do this?

  • Google maps api v3 refreshing away markers

    - by Paul Peelen
    Hi, I am having problems with the google maps API V3. It seems that every time I load my page the maps load (including the markers) and then it does a quick reload and removes all the markers. Am I missing somehting? What am I doing wrong? Here is an example: http://www.PaulPeelen.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/SafariScreenSnapz001.mov this is my code: <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- var hash = "{{$sHashLocal}}"; var webroot = "{{$webroot}}"; var map; function initialize() { var latlng = new google.maps.LatLng(59.32045, 18.066902); var myOptions = { zoom: 13, center: latlng, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP }; map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map_canvas"), myOptions); return map; } function getMarkerInfo (infowindow, rack_id) { // Get all the racks $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: webroot+"ajax/getRack/"+hash+"/"+rack_id, cache: false, dataType: "html", success: function(html) { $("#rack_"+rack_id).html(); infowindow.setContent(html); } }); } $(document).ready(function () { map = initialize(); function attachSecretMessage(marker, rack_id) { var infowindow = new google.maps.InfoWindow({ size: new google.maps.Size(50,50) }); google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'click', function(){ var ret = '<div id="rack_'+rack_id+'" class="rackDiv"><div class="rackDivLoading"><img src="theme/images/loader-small.gif" border="0"/><span>Hämtar data</span></div></div>'; infowindow.setContent(ret); infowindow.open(map,marker); getMarkerInfo(infowindow,rack_id); }); } function addPlacemark (lat,lng,title, rack_id) { var image = new google.maps.MarkerImage('http://www.google.com/intl/en_us/mapfiles/ms/micons/blue-dot.png', new google.maps.Size(32, 32), new google.maps.Point(0,0), new google.maps.Point(0, 32)); var shadow = new google.maps.MarkerImage('http://maps.google.com/mapfiles/shadow50.png', new google.maps.Size(37, 34), new google.maps.Point(0,0), new google.maps.Point(-4, 34)); var location = new google.maps.LatLng(lat,lng); var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: location, map: map, icon: image, shadow: shadow}); marker.setTitle(title); attachSecretMessage(marker, rack_id); } // Get all the racks $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: webroot+"ajax/getRacks/"+hash, cache: false, dataType: "xml", success: function(xml) { // Add the results $(xml).find("station").each(function () { rack_id = $(this).find("rack_id").text(); title = $(this).find("description").text(); longitute = parseFloat($(this).find("longitute").text()); latitude = parseFloat($(this).find("latitude").text()); addPlacemark(latitude, longitute, title, rack_id); }); } }); $("#addMark").click(function () { addPlacemark (59.32045, 18.066902); }); // Set size setPageSize(); }); //--> </script> I hope somebody can help me.   • Insert string between two markers

    - by user275074
I have a requirement to insert a string between two markers. Initially I get a sting (from a file stored on the server) between #DATA# and #END# using: function getStringBetweenStrings($string,$start,$end){ $startsAt=strpos($string,$start)+strlen($start); $endsAt=strpos($string,$end, $startsAt); return substr($string,$startsAt,$endsAt-$startsAt); } I do some processing and based on the details of the string, query for some records. If there are records I need to be able to append them at the end of the string and then re-insert the string between #DATA# and #END# within the file on the server. How can I best achieve this? Is it possible to insert a record at a time in the file before #END# or is it best to manipulate the string on the server and just re-insert over the existing string in the file on the server?

  • How to use R-Tree for plotting large number of map markers on google maps

    - by Eeyore
After searching SO and multiple articles I haven't found a solution to my problem. What I am trying to achieve is to load 20,000 markers on Google Maps. R-Tree seems like a good approach but it's only helpful when searching for points within the visible part of the map. When the map is zoomed out it will return all of the points and...crash the browser. There is also the problem with dragging the map and at the end of dragging re-running the query. I would like to know how I can use R-Tree and be able to achieve the all of the above.

  • How to use google maps API with multiple markers on the same map

    - by Maen
So, i have the following script to use the google maps API, its all fine, but i need to create a map that has more than one Marker (the balloon shaped icon pointing to something) and i need each of those markers to point on a different area of the map (i.e. different coordinates), how can i do it? <script type="text/javascript"> function load() { var map = new GMap2(document.getElementById("map")); var marker = new GMarker(new GLatLng(<%=coordinates%>)); var html="<img src='simplemap_logo.jpg' width='20' height='20'/> " + "<%=maptitle%><br/>" + "<%=text%>"; map.setCenter(new GLatLng(<%=coordinates%>), <%=zoom%>) map.setMapType(G_HYBRID_MAP); map.addOverlay(marker); map.addControl(new GLargeMapControl()); map.addControl(new GScaleControl()); map.addControl(new GMapTypeControl()); marker.openInfoWindowHtml(html); } //]]> </script> One more question, if i pass the Script text as a variable, lets say something like: <script type="text/javascript"> <%=ScriptText%> </script> and my <%=ScriptText% will be a string which i will build and assign its value to a Friend or Public variable called ScriptText, will it still run and work properly? (i am doing this to make my script dynamic and different based on how i build it as a STRING, due to my illiteracy in javascripting ;P)

  • Looping through Markers with Google Maps API v3 Problem

    - by Oscar Godson
I'm not sure why this isn't working. I don't have any errors, but what happens is, no matter what marker I click on, it clicks the 3rd one (which is the last one out of 4 markers. Array starts at 0, obviously) and shows the number "3", which is correct for THAT one, but I'm not clicking that one. Here is most of my code, just not the array of [place-name, coordinates] (var locations, which you will see): function initialize() { var latlng = new google.maps.LatLng(45.522015,-122.683811); var settings = { zoom: 15, center: latlng, disableDefaultUI:true, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.SATELLITE }; var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map_canvas"), settings); var infowindow = new Array(); var marker = new Array(); for(x in locations){ console.log(x); infowindow[x] = new google.maps.InfoWindow({content: x}); marker[x] = new google.maps.Marker({title:locations[x][0],map:map,position:locations[x][1]}); google.maps.event.addListener(marker[x], 'click', function() {infowindow[x].open(map, marker[x]);}); } } initialize() The console.log output is (its correct, and what i expect): 0 1 2 3 So, any ideas?

  • Pass variable to Info Window in FusionTableLayer

    - by user1030205
I am building a web application that includes a Google Map layered with data from a Google Fusion Table. I have defined the info window for the markers in the Fusion Table and all is rendering as expected, but I have one issue. I need to pass a session variable from my web application to be included in the links that are defined in the info window, but can't seem to find a way to do this. Below is the javascript I am currently using to render the map: var myOptions = { zoom: 10, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP, center: new google.maps.LatLng( 40.4230,-98.7372) } map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map_canvas"), myOptions); // Weather weatherLayer = new google.maps.weather.WeatherLayer({ temperatureUnits: google.maps.weather.TemperatureUnit.FAHRENHEIT }); weatherLayer.setMap(map); //Hobby Stores var storeLayer = new google.maps.FusionTablesLayer({ query: { select: "col2", from: "3991553" }, map: map, supressInfoWindows: true }); //Club Sites var siteLayer = new google.maps.FusionTablesLayer({ query: { select: "col13", from: "3855088" }, styles: [{ markerOptions: { iconName: "airports" }}], map: map, supressInfoWindows: true }); I'd like to be able to pass some type of parameter in the call to google.maps.FusionTableLayer that passes a value to be include in the info window, but can't find a way to do this. To view the actual page, visit www.dualrates.com. Enter your zipcode and select one of the airport markers to see the info window. You may have to zoom the map out to see an airfield.

I have succeeded in loading a Google map using the gMap jQuery plugin and making it display several markers passed to it in a JSON object using the pattern demonstrated here under "Map with marker and info window". So far, so good. Now I want to have a link on the same page which, when clicked, displays the info window for a marker on the map. How is this done?

  • Android & Google Maps - close info window with back button

    - by m4ch3t3
I have an activity that holds a fragment with Google Map view in it. App adds several dozens of markers to the MapView, using MarkerManager and ClusterRenderer to form clusters. The problem is that when I have marker's InfoWindow opened and I press hardware Back button, it closes the app. Instead of that, I would like to have the InfoWindow closed. Is there any straightforward way to achieve this?

  • Get coordinates of google maps markers

    - by App_beginner
I am creating a databse containing the names and coordinates of all bus stops in my local area. I have all the names stored in my database, and now I need to add the coordinates. I am trying to get these of a website that contains them all as placemarks on a google map. It seems to me like they are being generated from a local server, and then added to the map. However I am unable to find exactly where the server is queried for the coordinates. I am hoping to collect these coordinates through the use of a screen scraper. However unless I am able to find where in the source code the coordinates are created this seems to be impossible. I can of course search and collect all these placemarks manually, but that will be very time consuming. So I am hoping that someone in here can help me. This is the website I am trying to scrape. The placemarks are marked by the blue bus sign: http://reiseplanlegger.skyss.no/scripts/travelmagic/TravelMagicWE.dll/?from=Brimnes+ferjekai+%28Eidfjord%29&to= You can also get the coordinates of a single placemark by writing the name of the stop in the search field and pushing the "Vis i kart" button. I hope someone can help me with this.

I have an entity which has some information about places, and I want to show a collection of those places in a single map on a JSF page. I have a Collection of coordinates to be assigned as points on a polyline in Google maps, and I've got this collection as a return of a java function of the jsf page, but I dont know how to get this collection from jsf and then how to make the map work I'll be very greatful if someone can give me some jsf code as an example. (and if someone knows how to set the autoReshape attribute for maps in jsf using javascript, please tell me the secret!!!!) Thanks a lot.

  • Highstock set different colors for different markers

    - by user1651804
I am tryting to develop a chart in Highstock where each marker got an individual color. When i push my Data in an Array like this : series.data.push([ parseInt(Math.round(myDate.getTime())), parseInt(Math.round(myDate.getHours())) ]); The Data is shown correctly, but when i try to set the color within each data-object like this, it doesn't work to show points. series.data.push([ { x: parseInt(Math.round(myDate.getTime())), y: parseInt(Math.round(myDate.getHours())), marker:{fillColor: 'red'}} ]); What am i missing? Update: When i inspect it with firebug i can see that the series is set correctly within the chart object. so why does it now show up? :/

  • Seeing release markers in svn log

    - by chuanose
Whenever we make a release of a project we'll create a tag to capture the snapshot. It will be very helpful to be able to see which revisions in the trunk history were used in certain releases. I know the TortoiseSVN revision graph shows this information, but I'm wondering if there's a way to see it in the command-line svn log? I'm coming from a Clearcase background where we'll be able to see the release labels in the history.

  • Google maps and J-Query: Individual markers?

    - by user351189
Hi there, I have created a Google maps mashup, where with a bit of input, I have managed to have a sidebar that links to a video icon/marker that then opens up an info window showing virtual tours. I would, however, like to put different coloured marker icons on the map depending on the category that the video is in. This would be easy enough to do, but my page is made up of a mixture of J-Query and JavaScript all calling to the individual flash files. Could someone help me with the code for adding extra marker icons for different categories? Here is the code: So, after the intial 'var camera;' point, there comes this: function addMarker(point, title, video, details) { var marker = new GMarker(point, {title: title, icon:camera}); GEvent.addListener(marker, "click", function() { if (details) { marker.openInfoWindowTabsHtml([new GInfoWindowTab("Video", video), new GInfoWindowTab("More", details)]); } else { marker.openInfoWindowHtml(video); } }); Then further down, is the code for calling the individual marker image. I would like to add another image to this list - would I start out by calling the new object 'camera-red.image' or something similar? function initialize() { if (GBrowserIsCompatible()) { map = new GMap2(document.getElementById("mapDiv")); map.setCenter(new GLatLng(51.52484592590448, -0.13345599174499512), 17); map.setUIToDefault(); var uclvtSatMapType = createUclVTSatMapType() map.addMapType(uclvtSatMapType); map.setMapType(uclvtSatMapType); camera = new GIcon(G_DEFAULT_ICON); camera.image = "ucl-video.png"; camera.iconSize = new GSize(32,37); camera.iconAnchor = new GPoint(16,35); camera.infoWindowAnchor = new GPoint(16,2); addMarkersToMap(); } The actual map can be found here: link text Thanks. • Google Maps API - Marker not showing

    I'm trying to add markers for every single row from a table, that sits on the page. The page is http://www.sravanks.com/first/2013ftcmap.php This is the JS code that's loading the markers: $(document).ready(function() { var mapOptions = { center: new google.maps.LatLng(39.740, -89.503), zoom: 7 }; var map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map-canvas"), mapOptions); var infowindow = new google.maps.InfoWindow(); /* City Markers */ var cityCircle = new Array(); var i = 0; $.each($('.events tr'), function(index, value) { var name = $(this).find('td:first()').html(); var address = $(this).find('.address').html(); var linkUrl = "http://www.sravanks.com/first/geocode.php?address=" + address; $.ajax({ url: linkUrl }).done(function(data){ var json = $.parseJSON(data.substring(0, data.length-1)); lat = json.results[0].geometry.location.lat; lng = json.results[0].geometry.location.lng; var latlng = new google.maps.LatLng(lat, lng); var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: latlng, map: map, icon: 'map-pointer-medium.gif' }); google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'click', function() { infowindow.setContent(name); infowindow.open(map, marker); cityCircle[i] = new google.maps.Circle({strokeColor: '#00FF00', strokeOpacity: 0.8, strokeWeight: 2, fillColor: '#00FF00', fillOpacity: 0.35, map: map, center: latlng, radius: 144841}); i++; }); }); }); /*Team Markers*/ var markers = {}; var teamName, teamNumber, lat, lng, content; $.each($('.list tr'), function(index, value) { teamName = $(this).find('td.name').html(); teamNumber = $(this).find('td.number').html(); markers[teamNumber] = {}; lat = parseFloat($(this).find('td.lat').html()); lng = parseFloat($(this).find('td.lng').html()); content = "Name: " + teamName + "<br />Number: " + teamNumber; markers[teamNumber]['latlng'] = new google.maps.LatLng(lat, lng); markers[teamNumber]['marker'] = new google.maps.Marker({ position: markers[teamNumber]['latlng'], map: map }); google.maps.event.addListener(markers[teamNumber]['marker'], 'click', function() { infowindow.setContent(content); infowindow.open(map, markers[teamNumber]['marker']); }); }); google.maps.event.addListener(infowindow, 'closeclick', function() { for(var i=0;i<cityCircle.length;i++){ cityCircle[i].setMap(null); } }); }); I've got no errors, but the Team Markers do not show up. The strange thing is that the City Markers do show up. Some more info, the City Markers ajax call is just to a proxy that calls the google geocoding api. Again the link's at http://www.sravanks.com/first/2013ftcmap.php
