  • What's the simplest way to call Http GET url using Delphi?

    There's a web services I want to call in my application, I can use it with importing the WSDL or by just use "HTTP GET" with the URL and parameters, so I prefer the later because it's simple thing. I know I can use indy idhttp.get, to do the job, but this is very simple thing and I don't want to add complex indy code to my application. UPDATE: sorry if I was not clear, I meant by "not to add complex indy code", that I don't want add indy components for just this simple task, and prefer more lighter way for that.

    hello I building my project using GWT plugin for eclipse Galileo, after i done from RPC between the server and client, i trying to make a reference from gwt server side to normal java class in non-gwt-project, but every time i make an object from the class (which in non-gwt-project) gives me ClassNotFoundException. i did the buildpath for the gwt project, but still gives me the same exception, is there a way to make that from server side (not from client side). i need help please, i spent a lot of time searching for solution but i did not found anything. i appreciate any suggestions...thanks

    We are team of few Delphi developers who have been using VSS since years (I know it's a pity), but we don't use any of the advanced features of VCS, so it was working fine in many cases (but some times it was driving me crazy :( ). The good thing that we have with VSS that we use third-party plug-ings to integrate VSS with Delphi, which is working great, but now when our projects becomes larger, and we would like to move a way from VSS. I have looked at few other VCS (free and commercial) and found most of them seems be made for Linux guys, and you have to use command line for many admin work(I know I'm windows guy :P). What I'm looking for the new Version control that it should be easy to use and to maintain and Integrated nicely with Delphi IDE (D2007), or at least have a good UI for the Admins an developers.

    Hi Experts, Is it possible to declare multiple static variables of same name in a single C file with different scopes? I wrote a simple programme to check this and in gcc it got compiled and worked fine. code: static int sVar = 44; void myPrint2() { printf("sVar = %d\n", sVar++); } void myPrint() { static int sVar =88; printf("sVar = %d\n", sVar++); } int main(void) { static int sVar = 55; int i = 0; for (i = 0; i < 5; i++) myPrint(); printf("sVar = %d\n", sVar); myPrint2(); return(0); } Now my question is since all "static" variable will reside in same section (.data) then how we can have multiple variable with same name in one section? I used objdump to check the different section and found that all Static variables (sVar) were in .data section but with different names 0804960c l O .data 00000004 sVar 08049610 l O .data 00000004 sVar.1785 08049614 l O .data 00000004 sVar.1792 Why compiler is changing the name of variables (since C doesnt support name mangling)?     I need to find the best solution to make the DB Normalized with large amount of data expected. My site has a Table Tags (contain key word,id) and also 4 types of data related to this tags table like(articles,resources,jobs,...). The big question is:- for the relation with tags what best solution for optimazaion & query speed? make a table for each relation like: table articlesToTags(ArticleID,TagID) table jobsToTags(jobid,tagid) etc. or put it all in one table like table tagsrelation(tagid,itemid,itemtype) I need your help. Please provide me with articles to help me in this design consider that in future the site can conation new section relate to tag Thanks

  • How to compile a C project with more than one main function?

    Hi folks, I am new to C, and now read some textbook and going to apply its examples. The problem is, whenever I creates a new project and try to put more than one file that contains a main function, the linker (as I thougt0 explains saying: /home/mohammed/tmp/abcd/main.c:4: multiple definition of `main' (BTW, I used many IDEs, MonoDevelop, QT creator, VS2010, Codebloks, ...) I am currently uses QT Creator, It seems to be a very nice IDE. So, there's not a workaround to solve such problem??
