  • tabs on web page and seo

    - by GaVrA
    I know there is a lot of js plugins to do "tabs", but also i can do it my self. Just have some elements with display:none and when you click some other element display changes to block, or something like that. Now, i have a one site i am developing, where i am giving specific users(all within one usergroup) access to edit only one page which i have created. That part is done. Now i have a request to give those users ability to edit 2 more sub pages, but since its all gonna be the same, like text with some pictures, i was thinking to put 3 textarea's so they will have 1 page where they can edit content of all those 3 pages. What i also thought was to only have one page and on it to have 3 tabs. Each tab for each possible page. When i started thinking about that the only concern was seo. How does seo works regarding elements with display:none? What jquery tabs plugin do you recommend that has the ability to access tabs via id of the element in url? I was looking at jquery ui demo but there when you get the url of one of those tabs and try to open it in new window, that tab is not opened. For example this link: http://jqueryui.com/demos/tabs/#tabs-2 It does not open tab #2... Any help is appreciated!

  • Limiting ssh user account only to access his home directory!

    - by EBAGHAKI
    By reading some tutorials online I used these commands: Make a local group: net localgroup CopsshUsers /ADD Deny access to this group at top level: cacls c:\ /c /e /t /d CopsshUsers Open access to the copSSH installation directory: cacls copssh-inst-dir /c /e /t /r CopsshUsers Add Copssh user to the group above: net localgroup CopsshUsers mysshuser /add simply put these commands will try to create a usergroup that has no permission on your computer and it only have access to the copSSH Installation directory. This is not true, since you cannot change the permission on your windows directory, the third command won't remove access to windows folder (it says access denied on his log). Somehow I achieved that by taking ownership of Windows folder and then i execute the third command so CopsshUsers has no permissions on windows folder from now on. Now i tried to SSH to the server and it simply can't login! this is kind of funny because with permission on windows directory you can login and without it you can't!! So if you CAN SSH to the server somehow you know that you have access to the windows directory! (Is this really true??) Simple task: Limiting ssh user account only to access his home directory on WINDOWS and nothing else! Guys please help!

  • Oracle Fusion Applications User Experience Design Patterns: Feeling the Love after Launch

    - by mvaughan
    By Misha Vaughan, Oracle Applications User ExperienceIn the first video by the Oracle Applications User Experience team on the Oracle Partner Network, Vice President Jeremy Ashley said that Oracle is looking to expand the ecosystem of support for Oracle’s applications customers as they begin to assess their investment and adoption of Oracle Fusion Applications. Oracle has made a massive investment to maintain the benefits of the Fusion Applications User Experience. This summer, the Applications User Experience team released the Oracle Fusion Applications user experience design patterns.Design patterns help create consistent experiences across devices.The launch has been very well received:Angelo Santagata, Senior Principal Technologist and Fusion Middleware evangelist for Oracle,  wrote this to the system integrator community: “The web site is the result of many years of Oracle R&D into user interface design for Fusion Applications and features a really cool web app which allows you to visualise the UI components in action.”  Grant Ronald, Director of Product Management, Application Development Framework (ADF) said: “It’s a science I don't understand, but now I don't have to ... Now you can learn from the UX experience of Fusion Applications.”Frank Nimphius, Senior Principal Product Manager, Oracle (ADF) wrote about the launch of the design patterns for the ADF Code Corner, and Jürgen Kress, Senior Manager EMEA Alliances & Channels for Fusion MiddleWare and Service Oriented Architecture, (SOA), shared the news with his Partner Community. Oracle Twitter followers also helped spread the message about the design patterns launch: ?@bex – Brian Huff, founder and Chief Software Architect for Bezzotech, and Oracle ACE Director:“Nifty! The Oracle Fusion UX team just released new ADF design patterns.”@maiko_rocha, Maiko Rocha, Oracle Consulting Solutions Architect and Oracle FMW engineer: “Haven't seen any other vendor offer such comprehensive UX Design Patterns catalog for free!”@zirous_chad, Chad Thompson, Senior Solutions Architect for Zirous, Inc. and ADF Developer:Wow - @ultan and company did a great job with the Fusion UX PatternsWhat is a user experience design pattern?A user experience design pattern is a re-usable, usability tested functional blueprint for a particular user experience.  Some examples are guided processes, shopping carts, and search and search results.  Ultan O’Broin discusses the top design patterns every developer should know.The patterns that were just released are based on thousands of hours of end-user field studies, state-of-the-art user interface assessments, and usability testing.  To be clear, these are functional design patterns, not technical design patterns that developers may be used to working with.  Because we know there is a gap, we are putting together some training that will help close that gap.Who should care?This is an offering targeted primarily at Application Development Framework (ADF) developers. If you are faced with the following questions regarding Fusion Applications, you will want to know and learn more:•    How do I build something that looks like Fusion Applications?•    How do I build a next-generation application?•    How do I extend a Fusion Application and maintain the user experience?•    I don’t want to re-invent the wheel on the user interface, so where do I start?•    I need to build something that will eventually co-exist with Fusion Applications. How do I do that?These questions are relevant to partners with an ADF competency, individual practitioners, or small consultancies with an ADF specialization, and customers who are trying to shift their IT staff over to supporting Fusion Applications.Where you can find out more?OnlineOur Fusion User Experience design patterns maven is Ultan O’Broin. The Oracle Partner Network is helping our team bring this first e-seminar to you in order to go into a more detail on what this means and how to take advantage of it:? • :: Help Needed to parse ksoap response using J2ME ::

    - by Sachin
    Hi Guys, I am developing a mobile application using J2ME, LWUIT and KSOAP. The application makes .net webservice calls and fetches responses. I am able to successfully make calls and receive respone, but not able to parse the response, due to my limited knowledge in java. following is my WSDL file and j2me code snippet used to make calls. The WSDL file has complex and SIMPLETYPE elements, which needs to be mapped to JAVA classes. i request you guys to help me out with any pointers or sample code. • Wordpress Permissions OS X & MAMP

    - by Matt2020
    I have installed several local versions of Wordpress for development purposes. After the install I can create posts, pages and edit admin options. However as soon as try to upload images which would be saved in wp_content/uploads I get an error: Upload Error: Unable to create directory ...../blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/05. Is its parent directory writable by the server? Looks like MAMP server runs as user _www The blog directory is owned by User1 and the group User1 _www is not in the User1 group, should it be? I do not want to chmod 777 or 765 on the directories just to get it going. Googled up a couple of references: http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions in "Permission Scheme for WordPress" All files should be owned by your user (ftp) account on your web server, and should be writable by that account. On shared hosts, files should never be owned by the webserver process itself (sometimes this is www, or apache, or nobody user). Any file that needs write access from WordPress should be owned or group-owned by the user account used by the WordPress (which may be different than the server account). For example, you may have a user account that lets you FTP files back and forth to your server, but your server itself may run using a separate user, in a separate usergroup, such as dhapache or nobody. If WordPress is running as the FTP account, that account needs to have write access, i.e., be the owner of the files, or belong to a group that has write access. In the latter case, that would mean permissions are set more permissively than default (for example, 775 rather than 755 for folders, and 664 instead of 644). User and group are User1 (which is admin). Running "ps aux | grep httpd" is running as _www So I think this means Wordpress is running as user _www. So the advice seems contradictory: "files should never be owned by the webserver process" i.e. _www but then later it says "Any file that needs write access from WordPress should be owned or group-owned by the user account used by the WordPress" So isn't this _www again? Another search found this url http://dancingengineer.com/computing/2009/07/how-to-install-wordpress-on-mac-os-x-leopard States Which says: My preferred way to do this is to change the group of the wordpress directory and its contents to _www and give write permissions to the group. Keep the owner as your "username". $ cd /Users/"username"/Sites $ sudo chown -R username:_www wordpress_directory $ sudo chmod -R g+w wordpress_directory However, when I tried this, it did not work for automatic upgrades to newer versions of WordPress although it worked for automatically updating the .htaccess file for pretty permalinks. It is not entirely clear to me what should be done. This last suggestion seems to be saying change the group from User1 to _www and give the group write access, but Wordpress upgrades won't work. Is this the right solution? I would have thought there would be a clear way to set this up on OS X 10.6? Be great if there was a plugin that could run a script for each of the main OS's that Wordpress runs on.

  • Entity with Guid ID is not inserted by NHibernate

    - by DanK
    I am experimenting with NHibernate (version 2.1.0.4000) with Fluent NHibernate Automapping. My test set of entities persists fine with default integer IDs I am now trying to use Guid IDs with the entities. Unfortunately changing the Id property to a Guid seems to stop NHibernate inserting objects. Here is the entity class: public class User { public virtual int Id { get; private set; } public virtual string FirstName { get; set; } public virtual string LastName { get; set; } public virtual string Email { get; set; } public virtual string Password { get; set; } public virtual List<UserGroup> Groups { get; set; } } And here is the Fluent NHibernate configuration I am using: SessionFactory = Fluently.Configure() //.Database(SQLiteConfiguration.Standard.InMemory) .Database(MsSqlConfiguration.MsSql2008.ConnectionString(@"Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=NHibernateTest;Uid=NHibernateTest;Password=password").ShowSql()) .Mappings(m => m.AutoMappings.Add( AutoMap.AssemblyOf<TestEntities.User>() .UseOverridesFromAssemblyOf<UserGroupMappingOverride>())) .ExposeConfiguration(x => { x.SetProperty("current_session_context_class","web"); }) .ExposeConfiguration(Cfg => _configuration = Cfg) .BuildSessionFactory(); Here is the log output when using an integer ID: 16:23:14.287 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.Event.Default.DefaultSaveOrUpdateEventListener - saving transient instance 16:23:14.291 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.Event.Default.AbstractSaveEventListener - saving [TestEntities.User#<null>] 16:23:14.299 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.Event.Default.AbstractSaveEventListener - executing insertions 16:23:14.309 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.Event.Default.AbstractSaveEventListener - executing identity-insert immediately 16:23:14.313 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.Persister.Entity.AbstractEntityPersister - Inserting entity: TestEntities.User (native id) 16:23:14.321 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.AdoNet.AbstractBatcher - Opened new IDbCommand, open IDbCommands: 1 16:23:14.321 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.AdoNet.AbstractBatcher - Building an IDbCommand object for the SqlString: INSERT INTO [User] (FirstName, LastName, Email, Password) VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?); select SCOPE_IDENTITY() 16:23:14.322 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.Persister.Entity.AbstractEntityPersister - Dehydrating entity: [TestEntities.User#<null>] 16:23:14.323 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.Type.StringType - binding null to parameter: 0 16:23:14.323 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.Type.StringType - binding null to parameter: 1 16:23:14.323 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.Type.StringType - binding 'ertr' to parameter: 2 16:23:14.324 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.Type.StringType - binding 'tretret' to parameter: 3 16:23:14.329 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.SQL - INSERT INTO [User] (FirstName, LastName, Email, Password) VALUES (@p0, @p1, @p2, @p3); select SCOPE_IDENTITY();@p0 = NULL, @p1 = NULL, @p2 = 'ertr', @p3 = 'tretret' and here is the output when using a Guid: 16:50:14.008 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.Event.Default.DefaultSaveOrUpdateEventListener - saving transient instance 16:50:14.012 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.Event.Default.AbstractSaveEventListener - generated identifier: d74e1bd3-1c01-46c8-996c-9d370115780d, using strategy: NHibernate.Id.GuidCombGenerator 16:50:14.013 [4] DEBUG NHibernate.Event.Default.AbstractSaveEventListener - saving [TestEntities.User#d74e1bd3-1c01-46c8-996c-9d370115780d] This is where it silently fails, with no exception thrown or further log entries. It looks like it is generating the Guid ID correctly for the new object, but is just not getting any further than that. Is there something I need to do differently in order to use Guid IDs? Thanks, Dan.

  • How should I model the database for this problem? And which ORM can handle it?

    - by Kristof Claes
    I need to build some sort of a custom CMS for a client of ours. These are some of the functional requirements: Must be able to manage the list of Pages in the site Each Page can contain a number of ColumnGroups A ColumnGroup is nothing more than a list of Columns in a certain ColumnGroupLayout. For example: "one column taking up the entire width of the page", "two columns each taking up half of the width", ... Each Column can contain a number ContentBlocks Examples of a ContentBlock are: TextBlock, NewsBlock, PictureBlock, ... ContentBlocks can be given a certain sorting within a Column A ContentBlock can be put in different Columns so that content can be reused without having to be duplicated. My first quick draft of how this could look like in C# code (we're using ASP.NET 4.0 to develop the CMS) can be found at the bottom of my question. One of the technical requirements is that it must be as easy as possible to add new types of ContentBlocks to the CMS. So I would like model everything as flexible as possible. Unfortunately, I'm already stuck at trying to figure out how the database should look like. One of the problems I'm having has to do with sorting different types of ContentBlocks in a Column. I guess each type of ContentBlock (like TextBlock, NewsBlock, PictureBlock, ...) should have it's own table in the database because each has it's own different fields. A TextBlock might only have a field called Text whereas a NewsBlock might have fields for the Text, the Summary, the PublicationDate, ... Since one Column can have ContentBlocks located in different tables, I guess I'll have to create a many-to-many association for each type of ContentBlock. For example: ColumnTextBlocks, ColumnNewsBlocks and ColumnPictureBlocks. The problem I have with this setup is the sorting of the different ContentBlocks in a column. This could be something like this: TextBlock NewsBlock TextBlock TextBlock PictureBlock Where do I store the sorting number? If I store them in the associaton tables, I'll have to update a lot of tables when changing the sorting order of ContentBlocks in a Column. Is this a good approach to the problem? Basically, my question is: What is the best way to model this keeping in mind that it should be easy to add new types of ContentBlocks? My next question is: What ORM can deal with that kind of modeling? To be honest, we are ORM-virgins at work. I have been reading a bit about Linq-to-SQL and NHibernate, but we have no experience with them. Because of the IList in the Column class (see code below) I think we can rule out Linq-to-SQL, right? Can NHibernate handle the mapping of data from many different tables to one IList? Also keep in mind that this is just a very small portion of the domain. Other parts are Users belonging to a certain UserGroup having certain Permissions on Pages, ColumnGroups, Columns and ContentBlocks. The code (just a quick first draft): public class Page { public int PageID { get; set; } public string Title { get; set; } public string Description { get; set; } public string Keywords { get; set; } public IList<ColumnGroup> ColumnGroups { get; set; } } public class ColumnGroup { public enum ColumnGroupLayout { OneColumn, HalfHalf, NarrowWide, WideNarrow } public int ColumnGroupID { get; set; } public ColumnGroupLayout Layout { get; set; } public IList<Column> Columns { get; set; } } public class Column { public int ColumnID { get; set; } public IList<IContentBlock> ContentBlocks { get; set; } } public interface IContentBlock { string GetSummary(); } public class TextBlock : IContentBlock { public string GetSummary() { return "I am a piece of text."; } } public class NewsBlock : IContentBlock { public string GetSummary() { return "I am a news item."; } }

  • Struts2 Hibernate Login with User table and group table

    - by J2ME NewBiew
    My problem is, i have a table User and Table Group (this table use to authorization for user - it mean when user belong to a group like admin, they can login into admincp and other user belong to group member, they just only read and write and can not login into admincp) each user maybe belong to many groups and each group has been contain many users and they have relationship are many to many I use hibernate for persistence storage. and struts 2 to handle business logic. When i want to implement login action from Struts2 how can i get value of group member belong to ? to compare with value i want to know? Example I get user from username and password then get group from user class but i dont know how to get value of group user belong to it mean if user belong to Groupid is 1 and in group table , at column adminpermission is 1, that user can login into admincp, otherwise he can't my code: User.java /* * To change this template, choose Tools | Templates * and open the template in the editor. */ package org.dejavu.software.model;
