  • Php5-fpm Crash if much visitors

    - by chillah
    I decided to change my OP to Nginx from Litespeed because i read much about the low resource that Nginx would cost. Im running a Wordpress site with 500 users online My www.conf in "/etc/php5/fpm/pool.d" pm.max_children = 200 pm.start_servers = 20 pm.min_spare_servers = 20 pm.max_spare_servers = 60 ;pm.process_idle_timeout = 10s; ;pm.max_requests = 1000 Since i changed that config to higher requests and more children the Site needs longer till it shows me a White blank page. If i restart the php5-fpm prozess then, the site is running fine again. The CPU usage is at 5% if the php5-fpm is crashed and if its running its about 20 to 90%! Heres my Nginx.conf: user www-data; worker_processes 2; pid /var/run/nginx.pid; events { worker_connections 3048; # multi_accept on; } http { ## # Basic Settings ## sendfile on; tcp_nopush on; tcp_nodelay on; keepalive_timeout 65; types_hash_max_size 2048; # server_tokens off; I already tried changing the settings, tryed all variants but nothing worked. The Mashine: Dualcore 4gb ram

  • Nginx order of servers

    - by scrat
    I have 3 sites on my server. All are running on gunicorn and use unix sockets to communicate with nginx which routes requests. I got three records in nginx.conf like: server { listen 80; server_name site1.com; location / { proxy_pass http://unix:/tmp/site1.sock; proxy_redirect off; proxy_set_header Host $host; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; } } For site1, site2, site3. If they are ordered as config for site1 goes first, and then goes config for site2 and site3 everything works good. But when I change the order for example to site2, site1, site3, then site1 becomes routed to site2. What am I doing wrong? Full server nginx.conf before servers configs: user www-data; worker_processes 4; pid /var/run/nginx.pid; events { worker_connections 768; # multi_accept on; } http { ## # Basic Settings ## sendfile on; tcp_nopush on; tcp_nodelay on; keepalive_timeout 65; types_hash_max_size 2048; include /etc/nginx/mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; ## # Logging Settings ## access_log /var/log/nginx/access.log; error_log /var/log/nginx/error.log; ## # Gzip Settings ## gzip on; gzip_types text/css application/x-javascript text/x-component text/richtext image/svg+xml text/plain text/xsd text/xsl text/xml image/x-icon;

  • nginx proxying different servers for different subdomains

    - by The.Anti.9
    i just set up an nginx server. On the same computer as nginx, I have apache running on port 8000 (this was previously set up.) and I want no subdomain and the www. subdomain to go to the local apache instance. But i want the stuff. subdomain to link to my server where i keep all my miscellaneous files (pictures, documents, etc.), which is also listening on port 80 at the ip 192.168.1.102. I tried configuring it, but when i go to my domain, I just get the "Welcome to nginx!". Here's what I have: user www-data; worker_processes 1; error_log /var/log/nginx/error.log; pid /var/run/nginx.pid; events { worker_connections 1024; } http { include /etc/nginx/mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; sendfile on; #tcp_nopush on; #keepalive_timeout 0; keepalive_timeout 65; tcp_nodelay on; gzip on; include /etc/nginx/conf.d/*.conf; server { listen 80; server_name theanti9.com www.theanti9.com; access_log /var/log/nginx/access.log; location / { proxy_pass http://localhost:8000; } } server { listen 80; server_name stuff.theanti9.com; access_log /var/log/nginx/access.log; location / { proxy_pass http://192.168.1.102:80; } } } I'm not really sure what's wrong. Any suggestions?

  • Rails 3 + Nginx + Passenger -- Routing index

    - by Bijan
    I have no index.html file in my public folder. My rails routes file routes this, and it works fine when I run 'rails server' on my machine. I'm trying to deploy the app. I have passenger and nginx running When I run rails server on my local machine, it works fine. But it's just trying to access static file when I try to access it on the production server. Here's my nginx conf: worker_processes 1; #pid logs/nginx.pid; events { worker_connections 1024; } http { passenger_root /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.9.1/gems/passenger-3.0.2; passenger_ruby /usr/bin/ruby; include mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; sendfile on; keepalive_timeout 65; server { listen 80; server_name mmjconsult.com; root /www/mmjs/public; access_log logs/host.access.log; passenger_enabled on; } } Thank you for any help. I really appreciate it.

  • nginx: js file loads indifferently every refresh

    - by poymode
    I have this nginx problem wherein a js file in a rails app loads indifferently. Whenever I try to access the JS file in the browser and refresh the page, the scrollbar changes length meaning sometimes it loads half the js page, sometimes the whole and sometimes just a part of it. the js file size is 71K. my nginx server is on different server,separate from my rails app. when I try to access the js file directly through the app server, lets say 10.48.30.150:3000/javascripts/file.js it works fine and doesnt show any half-loaded page. but when I use the nginx server which upstreams the rails app, it shows the indifferent page loads. here is my nginx http conf error_log /usr/local/nginx/logs/error.log; pid /usr/local/nginx/logs/nginx.pid; events { worker_connections 1024; } http { include mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; server_names_hash_bucket_size 256; access_log /usr/local/nginx/logs/access.log; sendfile on; #tcp_nopush on; keepalive_timeout 0; tcp_nodelay on; #gzip on; #gzip_min_length 4096; #gzip_buffers 16 8k; #gzip_types application/x-javascript text/css text/plain; large_client_header_buffers 4 8k; client_max_body_size 2G; include /usr/local/nginx/conf.d/*.conf; }

  • NGINX: How do I calculate an optimal no. of worker processes and worker connections?

    - by bodacious
    Our web app is running on a Linode 2048 server at the moment (~ 2048 GB of RAM) The MYSQL database is on another linode of it's own so this server is really only handling NGINX and and the Rails application. The application itself uses about 185976 of memory per instance (RSS). Our traffic is < 1000 per day and the pages are mostly cached so there are fewer hits to the rails app itself. My question is - how can I calculate optimal NGINX config settings for my app? Below is the current config: worker_processes 1; # pid of nginx master process pid /var/run/nginx.pid; events { worker_connections 1024; } http { access_log /var/log/nginx/access.log; error_log /var/log/nginx/error.log; passenger_root /home/user/.rvm/gems/ree-1.8.7-2011.01@URTV/gems/passenger-3.0.3; passenger_ruby /home/user/.rvm/rubies/ree-1.8.7-2011.01/bin/ruby; include mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; sendfile on; tcp_nopush on; tcp_nodelay on; # gzip settings gzip on; gzip_http_version 1.0; gzip_comp_level 2; gzip_vary on; gzip_proxied any; gzip_types text/css application/x-javascript text/xml application/xml application/xml+rss text/javascript; # load extra modules from the vhosts directory include /opt/nginx/vhosts/*.conf; } Any advice would be appreciated! :)

  • nginx reverse proxy slows down my throughput by half

    - by Isaac A Mosquera
    I'm currently using nginx to proxy back to gunicorn with 8 workers. I'm using an amazon extra large instance with 4 virtual cores. When I connect to gunicorn directly I get about 10K requests/sec. When I serve a static file from nginx I get about 25 requests/sec. But when I place gunicorn behind nginx on the same physical server I get about 5K requests/sec. I understand there will be some latency from nginx, but I think there might be a problem since it's a 50% drops. Anybody heard of something similar? any help would be great! Here is the relevant nginx conf: worker_processes 4; worker_rlimit_nofile 30000; events { worker_connections 5120; } http { sendfile on; tcp_nopush on; tcp_nodelay on; keepalive_timeout 65; types_hash_max_size 2048; } sites-enabled/default: upstream backend { server 127.0.0.1:8000; } server { server_name api.domain.com ; location / { proxy_pass http://backend; proxy_buffering off; } }

  • Config nginx for slow connection to avoide corrupted doanlowds

    - by user1850273
    We have a Windows 2003 server that nginx 1.3.8 is running. Our problem is users with slow connction about 10K . Our server is serving our program update files and when they download from our server the downloade file is incompleted or crrupted. (Users can not download file with DL manager and the problem is in IE ) for example in slow connection a file with 25mb , after 2Mb downloaded finish . in high speed connections there is no problem. Also when we redirect these slow connection to other port F.e 50005 with the same config they download will be much better but not good as other servers. Which config we must apply to avoide such these download stops or corrupted downloads in slow connection ? this is our server config : worker_processes 1; events { worker_connections 1024; } http { include mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; log_format main '$remote_addr - $remote_user [$time_local] "$request" ' '$status $body_bytes_sent ' '"$http_user_agent"'; access_log logs/access.log main; sendfile off; keepalive_timeout 60; server { listen 80; server_name localhost; location / { root html; deny 127.0.0.3; index index.html index.htm; } } server_tokens off; } Our server use Htaccess password accounting and we can not use IIS on windows , Which soloution you think is better ? IIS with a extention to use apache htaccess ? Or use apache for windows insted of nginx ? Thank You.

  • FreeBSD performance tuning. Sysctls, loader.conf, kernel

    - by SaveTheRbtz
    I wanted to share knowledge of tuning FreeBSD via sysctl.conf/loader.conf/KENCONF. It was initially based on Igor Sysoev's (author of nginx) presentation about FreeBSD tuning up to 100,000-200,000 active connections. Tunings are for FreeBSD-CURRENT. Since 7.2 amd64 some of them are tuned well by default. Prior 7.0 some of them are boot only (set via /boot/loader.conf) or does not exist at all. sysctl.conf: # No zero mapping feature # May break wine # (There are also reports about broken samba3) #security.bsd.map_at_zero=0 # If you have really busy webserver with apache13 you may run out of processes #kern.maxproc=10000 # Same for servers with apache2 / Pound #kern.threads.max_threads_per_proc=4096 # Max. backlog size kern.ipc.somaxconn=4096 # Shared memory // 7.2+ can use shared memory > 2Gb kern.ipc.shmmax=2147483648 # Sockets kern.ipc.maxsockets=204800 # Can cause this on older kernels: # http://old.nabble.com/Significant-performance-regression-for-increased-maxsockbuf-on-8.0-RELEASE-tt26745981.html#a26745981 ) kern.ipc.maxsockbuf=10485760 # Mbuf 2k clusters (on amd64 7.2+ 25600 is default) # For such high value vm.kmem_size must be increased to 3G kern.ipc.nmbclusters=262144 # Jumbo pagesize(_SC_PAGESIZE) clusters # Used as general packet storage for jumbo frames # can be monitored via `netstat -m` #kern.ipc.nmbjumbop=262144 # Jumbo 9k/16k clusters # If you are using them #kern.ipc.nmbjumbo9=65536 #kern.ipc.nmbjumbo16=32768 # For lower latency you can decrease scheduler's maximum time slice # default: stathz/10 (~ 13) #kern.sched.slice=1 # Increase max command-line length showed in `ps` (e.g for Tomcat/Java) # Default is PAGE_SIZE / 16 or 256 on x86 # This avoids commands to be presented as [executable] in `ps` # For more info see: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=120749 kern.ps_arg_cache_limit=4096 # Every socket is a file, so increase them kern.maxfiles=204800 kern.maxfilesperproc=200000 kern.maxvnodes=200000 # On some systems HPET is almost 2 times faster than default ACPI-fast # Useful on systems with lots of clock_gettime / gettimeofday calls # See http://old.nabble.com/ACPI-fast-default-timecounter,-but-HPET-83--faster-td23248172.html # After revision 222222 HPET became default: http://svnweb.freebsd.org/base?view=revision&revision=222222 kern.timecounter.hardware=HPET # Small receive space, only usable on http-server, on file server this # should be increased to 65535 or even more #net.inet.tcp.recvspace=8192 # This is useful on Fat-Long-Pipes #net.inet.tcp.recvbuf_max=10485760 #net.inet.tcp.recvbuf_inc=65535 # Small send space is useful for http servers that serve small files # Autotuned since 7.x net.inet.tcp.sendspace=16384 # This is useful on Fat-Long-Pipes #net.inet.tcp.sendbuf_max=10485760 #net.inet.tcp.sendbuf_inc=65535 # Turn off receive autotuning # You can play with it. #net.inet.tcp.recvbuf_auto=0 #net.inet.tcp.sendbuf_auto=0 # This should be enabled if you going to use big spaces (>64k) # Also timestamp field is useful when using syncookies net.inet.tcp.rfc1323=1 # Turn this off on high-speed, lossless connections (LAN 1Gbit+) # If you set it there is no need in TCP_NODELAY sockopt (see man tcp) net.inet.tcp.delayed_ack=0 # This feature is useful if you are serving data over modems, Gigabit Ethernet, # or even high speed WAN links (or any other link with a high bandwidth delay product), # especially if you are also using window scaling or have configured a large send window. # Automatically disables on small RTT ( http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/src/sys/netinet/tcp_subr.c?#rev1.237 ) # This sysctl was removed in 10-CURRENT: # See: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg06178.html #net.inet.tcp.inflight.enable=0 # TCP slowstart algorithm tunings # We assuming we have very fast clients #net.inet.tcp.slowstart_flightsize=100 #net.inet.tcp.local_slowstart_flightsize=100 # Disable randomizing of ports to avoid false RST # Before usage check SA here www.bsdcan.org/2006/papers/ImprovingTCPIP.pdf # (it's also says that port randomization auto-disables at some conn.rates, but I didn't checked it thou) #net.inet.ip.portrange.randomized=0 # Increase portrange # For outgoing connections only. • Nginx not responding to remote IP

    - by bucabay
    I just installed Nginx listening on 8083 I can get a HTTP response when sending a HTTP request from the local machine. eg: curl -i localhost:8083 However, when I do the same from a remote machine, it just hangs until the ssh times out, or when the browser times out if accessed from the browser. I pretty much have the default config: user apache apache; worker_processes 1; error_log logs/error.log; #error_log logs/error.log notice; #error_log logs/error.log info; pid logs/nginx.pid; events { worker_connections 1024; } http { include mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; log_format main '$remote_addr - $remote_user [$time_local] "$request" ' '$status $body_bytes_sent "$http_referer" ' '"$http_user_agent" "$http_x_forwarded_for"'; access_log logs/access.log main; sendfile on; tcp_nopush on; #keepalive_timeout 0; keepalive_timeout 65; #gzip on; server { listen 8083; server_name _; charset utf-8; #access_log logs/host.access.log main; location / { root html; index index.html index.php; } #error_page 404 /404.html; # redirect server error pages to the static page /50x.html # error_page 500 502 503 504 /50x.html; location = /50x.html { root html; } location ~ /\.ht { deny all; } } } any ideas?

  • programs hangs during socket interaction

    - by herrturtur
    I have two programs, sendfile.py and recvfile.py that are supposed to interact to send a file across the network. They communicate over TCP sockets. The communication is supposed to go something like this: sender =====filename=====> receiver sender <===== 'ok' ======= receiver or sender <===== 'no' ======= receiver if ok: sender ====== file ======> receiver I've got The sender and receiver code is here: Sender: import sys from jmm_sockets import * if len(sys.argv) != 4: print "Usage:", sys.argv[0], "<host> <port> <filename>" sys.exit(1) s = getClientSocket(sys.argv[1], int(sys.argv[2])) try: f = open(sys.argv[3]) except IOError, msg: print "couldn't open file" sys.exit(1) # send filename s.send(sys.argv[3]) # receive 'ok' buffer = None response = str() while 1: buffer = s.recv(1) if buffer == '': break else: response = response + buffer if response == 'ok': print 'receiver acknowledged receipt of filename' # send file s.send(f.read()) elif response == 'no': print "receiver doesn't want the file" # cleanup f.close() s.close() Receiver: from jmm_sockets import * s = getServerSocket(None, 16001) conn, addr = s.accept() buffer = None filename = str() # receive filename while 1: buffer = conn.recv(1) if buffer == '': break else: filename = filename + buffer print "sender wants to send", filename, "is that ok?" user_choice = raw_input("ok/no: ") if user_choice == 'ok': # send ok conn.send('ok') #receive file data = str() while 1: buffer = conn.recv(1) if buffer=='': break else: data = data + buffer print data else: conn.send('no') conn.close() I'm sure I'm missing something here in the sorts of a deadlock, but don't know what it is.

  • Nginx Rails app can't deploy

    I have an issue with my rails application running with passenger and nginx hosted in Ubuntu 12.04. In the nginx.conf file below, my "example.com" (Regular HTML) and "redmine.example.com" (Rails app) are working perfectly, but my "crete.example.com" (Another Rails app) is showing "502 bad gateway". • How to approach socket programming between C# -> Java (Android)

    - by Alex
    I've recently knocked up a server/client app for Windows & Android that allows one to send a file from Windows to an android phone over a socket connection. It works great for a single file but trying to send multiple files over in a single stream is causing me problems. I've also realised that aside from the binary data, I will need to send messages over the socket to indicate error states and other application messages. I have little experience with network programming and and wondering what is the best way forward. Basically the C# server side of the app just goes into a listening state and uses Socket.SendFile to transmit the file. On Android I use the standard Java Socket.getInputStream() to receive the file. That works great for a single file transfer, but how should I handle multiple files and error/messaging information? Do I need to use a different socket for each file? Should I be using a higher level framework to handle this or can I send everything over the single socket? Any other suggestions for frameworks or learning materials?

  • What is a good method to solve cabal install problems?

    - by sp3ctum
    I've used the cabal package manager for Haskell programs to install libraries and new projects that I've cloned from some repositories. More often than not, I keep running into problems. Most projects make installing them seem super easy, but in my case that's not always true - sometimes they are very hard to get running. Some are so hard, in fact, that I've lost interest in the project solely because of not being able to install it. So instead of complaining, I'd like to ask what I should do to better this situation. I'd like to use my most recent problem as an example. I'm interested in trying out the Gitit project. It's a promising looking personal wiki that runs on various version control systems. So here's what I've done: Clone from Github run cabal install in the project directory like I'm told on the project install page: mika@eka:~/git/gitit$ ls BLUETRIP-LICENSE CHANGES HCAR-gitit.tex LICENSE Network README.markdown RELANN-0.6.1 Setup.lhs TANGOICONS YUI-LICENSE data expireGititCache.hs gitit.cabal gitit.hs plugins mika@eka:~/git/gitit$ cabal install Resolving dependencies... cabal: cannot configure happstack-server-7.0.7. It requires base64-bytestring ==1.0.* For the dependency on base64-bytestring ==1.0.* there are these packages: base64-bytestring-1.0.0.0. However none of them are available. base64-bytestring-1.0.0.0 was excluded because gitit-0.10 requires base64-bytestring ==0.1.* mika@eka:~/git/gitit$ So now I'm thinking: well, I'll install happstack-server on its own, maybe that will work: mika@eka:~/git/gitit$ cabal install happstack-server Resolving dependencies... Warning: happstack-server.cabal: Ignoring unknown section type: test-suite Configuring happstack-server-7.0.7... cabal: At least the following dependencies are missing: blaze-html ==0.5.*, hslogger >=1.0.2, monad-control ==0.3.*, network >=2.2.3, sendfile >=0.7.1 && <0.8, system-filepath >=0.3.1, text >=0.10 && <0.12, threads >=0.5, transformers-base ==0.4.* cabal: Error: some packages failed to install: happstack-server-7.0.7 failed during the configure step. The exception was: ExitFailure 1 So looks like there are some dependencies missing. But isn't installing these dependencies the whole point of using cabal in the first place? What should I do? File bug reports (to which project?), install the dependencies manually or something else? Bonus points for explaining what causes these kinds of problems.

  • gunicorn + django + nginx unix://socket failed (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)

    - by user1068118
    Running very high volume traffic on these servers configured with django, gunicorn, supervisor and nginx. But a lot of times I tend to see 502 errors. So I checked the nginx logs to see what error and this is what is recorded: [error] 2388#0: *208027 connect() to unix:/tmp/gunicorn-ourapp.socket failed (11: Resource temporarily unavailable) while connecting to upstream Can anyone help debug what might be causing this to happen? • Configuration issue with HttpRealipModule (CloudFlare) in nginx configuration file

    - by Tyrx
    I've been attempting to use HttpRealipModule with the CloudFlare IP range in my main nginx configuration file but upon restarting nginx I'll just get a standard `"configuration file /etc/nginx/nginx.conf test failed" and my site will go down. This is what I've been attempting to do with my nginx.conf; user www-data; worker_processes 1; error_log /var/log/nginx/error.log warn; pid /var/run/nginx.pid; events { worker_connections 1024; } http { # Basic Settings set_real_ip_from 204.93.240.0/24; set_real_ip_from 204.93.177.0/24; set_real_ip_from 199.27.128.0/21; set_real_ip_from 173.245.48.0/20; set_real_ip_from 103.22.200.0/22; set_real_ip_from 141.101.64.0/18; set_real_ip_from 108.162.192.0/18; set_real_ip_from 190.93.240.0/20; set_real_ip_from 188.114.96.0/20; set_real_ip_from 2400:cb00::/32; set_real_ip_from 2606:4700::/32; set_real_ip_from 2803:f800::/32; real_ip_header CF-Connecting-IP; client_max_body_size 50m; client_header_timeout 5; keepalive_timeout 5; port_in_redirect off; sendfile on; server_tokens off; server_name_in_redirect off; tcp_nopush on; tcp_nodelay on; types_hash_max_size 2048; # MIME include /etc/nginx/mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; # Logging Settings access_log /var/log/nginx/access.log; error_log /var/log/nginx/error.log warn; # Gzip Settings gzip on; gzip_disable "msie6"; gzip_min_length 1400; gzip_types text/plain text/css text/javascript text/xml application/x-javascript application/xml application/xml+rss; include /etc/nginx/conf.d/*.conf; include /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/*; } What's wrong with that configuration file?

  • Nginx + PHP - No input file specified

    - by F21
    I am running Ubuntu Desktop 12.04 with nginx 1.2.6. PHP is PHP-FPM 5.4.9. This is the relevant part of my nginx.conf: http { include mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; sendfile on; root /www keepalive_timeout 65; server { server_name testapp.com; root /www/app/www/; index index.php index.html index.htm; location ~ \.php$ { fastcgi_intercept_errors on; fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000; fastcgi_index index.php; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; } } server { listen 80 default_server; index index.html index.php; location ~ \.php$ { fastcgi_intercept_errors on; fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000; fastcgi_index index.php; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; } } } In my hosts file, I redirect 2 domains: testapp.com and test.com to 127.0.0.1. My web files are all stored in /www. From the above settings, if I visit test.com/phpinfo.php and test.com/app/www, everything works as expected and I get output from PHP. However, if I visit testapp.com, I get the dreaded No input file specified. error. So, at this point, I pull out the log files and have a look: 2012/12/19 16:00:53 [error] 12183#0: *17 FastCGI sent in stderr: "Unable to open primary script: /www/app/www/index.php (No such file or directory)" while reading response header from upstream, client: 127.0.0.1, server: testapp.com, request: "GET / HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://127.0.0.1:9000", host: "testapp.com" This baffles me because I have checked again and again and /www/app/www/index.php definitely exists! This is also validated by the fact that test.com/app/www/index.php works which means the file exists and the permissions are correct. Why is this happening and what are the root causes of things breaking for just the testapp.com v-host?

  • nginx, php-cgi and "No input file specified."

    - by Stephen Belanger
    I'm trying to get nginx to play nice with php-cgi, but it's not quite working how I'd like. I'm using some set variables to allow for dynamic host names--basically anything.local. I know that stuff is working because I can access static files properly, however php files don't work. I get the standard "No input file specified." error which normally occurs when the file doesn't exist, but it definitely does exist and the path is correct because I can access the static files in the same path. It could possibly be a permissions thing, but I'm not sure how that could be an issue. I'm running this on Windows under my own user account, so I think it should have permission unless php-cgi is running under a different user without me telling it to. . Here's my config; worker_processes 1; events { worker_connections 1024; } http { include mime.types; default_type application/octet-stream; sendfile on; keepalive_timeout 65; gzip on; server { # Listen for HTTP listen 80; # Match to local host names. server_name *.local; # We need to store a "cleaned" host. set $no_www $host; set $no_local $host; # Strip out www. if ($host ~* www\.(.*)) { set $no_www $1; rewrite ^(.*)$ $scheme://$no_www$1 permanent; } # Strip local for directory names. if ($no_www ~* (.*)\.local) { set $no_local $1; } # Define default path handler. location / { root ../Users/Stephen/Documents/Work/$no_local.com/hosts/main/docs; index index.php index.html index.htm; # Route non-existent paths through Kohana system router. try_files $uri $uri/ /index.php?kohana_uri=$request_uri; } # pass PHP scripts to FastCGI server listening on 127.0.0.1:9000 location ~ \.php$ { root ../Users/Stephen/Documents/Work/$no_local.com/hosts/main/docs; fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:9000; fastcgi_index index.php; include fastcgi.conf; } # Prevent access to system files. location ~ /\. { return 404; } location ~* ^/(modules|application|system) { return 404; } } }
