  • JQuery not removeing added element

    - by Scott
    What I want to do is add and remove list items. I have got it to add new items to the list and I can remove existing ones but not the ones that have been added. It seem like it would work but it doesn't. Any help would be appreciated! Here the code: JQuery: <script type="text/javascript"> $(function(){ $('a#add').click(function(){ $('<li><a href="#" id="remove">--</a>List item</li>').appendTo('ul#list'); }); $('a#remove').click(function(){ $(this).parent().remove(); }); }); </script> HTML: <a href="#" id="add">Add List Item</a> <ul id="list"> <li><a href="#" id="remove">--</a> List item</li> <li><a href="#" id="remove">--</a> List item</li> <li><a href="#" id="remove">--</a> List item</li> <li><a href="#" id="remove">--</a> List item</li> </ul>

  • jquery problem with toggle event only fireing on the 2nd click...

    - by Ronedog
    Can anyone explain why the following jquery only fires the 2nd toggle event and how to fix it? Specifically, every time I click the nested < a element it brings up the alert "2nd click". I tested the selector to make sure it was selecting the element properly and it does, or at least it inserted a class without any problems. The selector is selecting the very last node in the unordered list that has an anchor tag. $("#nav li:not(:has(li)) a").toggle(function() { //1st click alert("1st Click"); }, function() { //2nd click alert("2nd Click"); }); Nested HTML structure that fails: <ul id="nav"> <li> <span>stuff</span> <a href="#">Cat 1</a> <ul> <li> <span>stuff</span> <a href="#">Subcat1</a> <ul> <li> <span>Stuff</span> <a href="#">Subcat Details</a> </li> </ul> </li> </ul> </li> </ul> However, this works right and fires both click events: <ul id="nav"> <li> <span>stuff</span> <a href="#">Cat 1</a> </li> </ul>

  • jquery help assigning multiple mouse events using a .each() to hide/show icons and show background c

    - by Ronedog
    Need some help assigning a mouseover event to display some icons that start out hidden. For every <li> in the ul, I have icons. When the user mouses over the <li> I want the span tag with a class called "icons" to be displayed. When the mouse out event occurs remove the class and/or just hide the span. The problem for me is how to assign event so just the span tag and its contents appear and disapear when the mouse hovers over the <li>. Heres the HTML: <ul id="nav"> <li>Cat 1 <span class="icons"> <div>stuff here</div> </span> </li> <li>Cat 2 <span class="icons"> <div>stuff here</div> </span> <ul> <li>Sub Cat 2A <span class="icons"> <div>2A stuff here</div> </span> </li> </ul> </li> </ul> Heres my jquery code. $('#nav li').each(function(){ //Add Background Shading o Mouseover to all Rows in the menu $(this).mouseover(function(){ $(this).addClass("background_grey").removeClass("icons"); }) $(this).mouseout(function(){ $(this).removeClass("background_grey").addClass("icons"); }); }); Thanks for the help.

  • Running ASP.NET Webforms and ASP.NET MVC side by side

    - by rajbk
    One of the nice things about ASP.NET MVC and its older brother ASP.NET WebForms is that they are both built on top of the ASP.NET runtime environment. The advantage of this is that, you can still run them side by side even though MVC and WebForms are different frameworks. Another point to note is that with the release of the ASP.NET routing in .NET 3.5 SP1, we are able to create SEO friendly URLs that do not map to specific files on disk. The routing is part of the core runtime environment and therefore can be used by both WebForms and MVC. To run both frameworks side by side, we could easily create a separate folder in your MVC project for all our WebForm files and be good to go. What this post shows you instead, is how to have an MVC application with WebForm pages  that both use a common master page and common routing for SEO friendly URLs.  A sample project that shows WebForms and MVC running side by side is attached at the bottom of this post. So why would we want to run WebForms and MVC in the same project?  WebForms come with a lot of nice server controls that provide a lot of functionality. One example is the ReportViewer control. Using this control and client report definition files (RDLC), we can create rich interactive reports (with charting controls). I show you how to use the ReportViewer control in a WebForm project here :  Creating an ASP.NET report using Visual Studio 2010. We can create even more advanced reports by using SQL reporting services that can also be rendered by the ReportViewer control. Now, consider the sample MVC application I blogged about called ASP.NET MVC Paging/Sorting/Filtering using the MVCContrib Grid and Pager. Assume you were given the requirement to add a UI to the MVC application where users could interact with a report and be given the option to export the report to Excel, PDF or Word. How do you go about doing it?   This is a perfect scenario to use the ReportViewer control and RDLCs. As you saw in the post on creating the ASP.NET report, the ReportViewer control is a Web Control and is designed to be run in a WebForm project with dependencies on, amongst others, a ScriptManager control and the beloved Viewstate.  Since MVC and WebForm both run under the same runtime, the easiest thing to is to add the WebForm application files (index.aspx, rdlc, related class files) into our MVC project. You can copy the files over from the WebForm project into the MVC project. Create a new folder in our MVC application called CommonReports. Add the index.aspx and rdlc file from the Webform project   Right click on the Index.aspx file and convert it to a web application. This will add the index.aspx.designer.cs file (this step is not required if you are manually adding a WebForm aspx file into the MVC project).    Verify that all the type names for the ObjectDataSources in code behind to point to the correct ProductRepository and fix any compiler errors. Right click on Index.aspx and select “View in browser”. You should see a screen like the one below:   There are two issues with our page. It does not use our site master page and the URL is not SEO friendly. Common Master Page The easiest way to use master pages with both MVC and WebForm pages is to have a common master page that each inherits from as shown below. The reason for this is most WebForm controls require them to be inside a Form control and require ControlState or ViewState. ViewMasterPages used in MVC, on the other hand, are designed to be used with content pages that derive from ViewPage with Viewstate turned off. By having a separate master page for MVC and WebForm that inherit from the Root master page,, we can set properties that are specific to each. For example, in the Webform master, we can turn on ViewState, add a form tag etc. Another point worth noting is that if you set a WebForm page to use a MVC site master page, you may run into errors like the following: A ViewMasterPage can be used only with content pages that derive from ViewPage or ViewPage<TViewItem> or Control 'MainContent_MyButton' of type 'Button' must be placed inside a form tag with runat=server. Since the ViewMasterPage inherits from MasterPage as seen below, we make our Root.master inherit from MasterPage, MVC.master inherit from ViewMasterPage and Webform.master inherits from MasterPage. We define the attributes on the master pages like so: Root.master <%@ Master Inherits="System.Web.UI.MasterPage"  … %> MVC.master <%@ Master MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Root.Master" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewMasterPage" … %> WebForm.master <%@ Master MasterPageFile="~/Views/Shared/Root.Master" Inherits="NorthwindSales.Views.Shared.Webform" %> Code behind: public partial class Webform : System.Web.UI.MasterPage {} We make changes to our reports aspx file to use the Webform.master. See the source of the master pages in the sample project for a better understanding of how they are connected. SEO friendly links We want to create SEO friendly links that point to our report. A request to /Reports/Products should render the report located in ~/CommonReports/Products.aspx. Simillarly to support future reports, a request to /Reports/Sales should render a report in ~/CommonReports/Sales.aspx. Lets start by renaming our index.aspx file to Products.aspx to be consistent with our routing criteria above. As mentioned earlier, since routing is part of the core runtime environment, we ca easily create a custom route for our reports by adding an entry in Global.asax. public static void RegisterRoutes(RouteCollection routes) { routes.IgnoreRoute("{resource}.axd/{*pathInfo}");   //Custom route for reports routes.MapPageRoute( "ReportRoute", // Route name "Reports/{reportname}", // URL "~/CommonReports/{reportname}.aspx" // File );     routes.MapRoute( "Default", // Route name "{controller}/{action}/{id}", // URL with parameters new { controller = "Home", action = "Index", id = UrlParameter.Optional } // Parameter defaults ); } With our custom route in place, a request to Reports/Employees will render the page at ~/CommonReports/Employees.aspx. We make this custom route the first entry since the routing system walks the table from top to bottom, and the first route to match wins. Note that it is highly recommended that you write unit tests for your routes to ensure that the mappings you defined are correct. Common Menu Structure The master page in our original MVC project had a menu structure like so: <ul id="menu"> <li> <%=Html.ActionLink("Home", "Index", "Home") %></li> <li> <%=Html.ActionLink("Products", "Index", "Products") %></li> <li> <%=Html.ActionLink("Help", "Help", "Home") %></li> </ul> We want this menu structure to be common to all pages/views and hence should reside in Root.master. Unfortunately the Html.ActionLink helpers will not work since Root.master inherits from MasterPage which does not have the helper methods available. The quickest way to resolve this issue is to use RouteUrl expressions. Using  RouteUrl expressions, we can programmatically generate URLs that are based on route definitions. By specifying parameter values and a route name if required, we get back a URL string that corresponds to a matching route. We move our menu structure to Root.master and change it to use RouteUrl expressions: <ul id="menu"> <li> <asp:HyperLink ID="hypHome" runat="server" NavigateUrl="<%$RouteUrl:routename=default,controller=home,action=index%>">Home</asp:HyperLink></li> <li> <asp:HyperLink ID="hypProducts" runat="server" NavigateUrl="<%$RouteUrl:routename=default,controller=products,action=index%>">Products</asp:HyperLink></li> <li> <asp:HyperLink ID="hypReport" runat="server" NavigateUrl="<%$RouteUrl:routename=ReportRoute,reportname=products%>">Product Report</asp:HyperLink></li> <li> <asp:HyperLink ID="hypHelp" runat="server" NavigateUrl="<%$RouteUrl:routename=default,controller=home,action=help%>">Help</asp:HyperLink></li> </ul> We are done adding the common navigation to our application. The application now uses a common theme, routing and navigation structure. Conclusion We have seen how to do the following through this post Add a WebForm page from a WebForm project to an existing ASP.NET MVC application Use a common master page for both WebForm and MVC pages Use routing for SEO friendly links Use a common menu structure for both WebForm and MVC. The sample project is attached below. Version: VS 2010 RTM Remember to change your connection string to point to your Northwind database NorthwindSalesMVCWebform.zip

What I need is that count goes as 0-1-2-3-4-5-etc, but with divide it goes 0-3-6-etc and jCarousel insert blank li's 1-2, 4-5, 7-8. How I can avoid "x" divide inside the loop? Tnak you!

  • jQuery fade li elemet and cycle it when mouse hovered.

    - by Pennf0lio
    I'm trying to recreate an effect in jQuery, where an element(<li> <img>) will be cycled and has a fading effect when hovered. The '<li>' contains '<img>' (image screenshots). when the mouse is on top of element it will keep cycling all that are in '<ul>' with a fading effect. when the mouse is away it will stop cycling the list. I also want to add a pager where you can navigate to the list. My Existing Code: link text My Problem: The current code has some problem with the pagination, it added all images that can be seen on the code. instead of 1-8 only, it continued to add another 1-8 and another. Second problem is, It also start cycling and fading when the page loads. The cycling and fading should only be working when the mouse is on top of the element. I don't know if the 'Cycle Plugin' is really required on this approach, I wan't it to be minimal as much as possible. I just use 'Cycle Plugin' because it's a quick answer to my problem. The effect i'm trying to achieve: link text (WARNING: Contains some Pornography), Sorry of my example, I tried finding other alternative but no luck. Thanks and merry xmas!

    - by user1669878

Here's the code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title>Farren's Photography</title> <style type="text/css"> html { height: 100%; width: 100%; } body { margin: 0px; } #container { font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 1.2em; color: #000; background-color: #06F; text-align: left; padding: 0px; height: 650px; width: 960px; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; background-image: url(images/background_image.png); background-repeat: no-repeat; margin-top: 45px; } a:link { color: #FFF; } a:visited { color: #FFF; } a:hover { color: #FFF; } #container #logo { } #container #logo #fp-logo { background-image: url(images/logo.png); height: 137px; width: 408px; text-indent: -9999px; display: block; } #logo { height: 137px; width: 408px; position: relative; padding-top: 35px; padding-right: 0px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-left: 35px; } #main { background-color: #FFF; min-height: 383px; width: 707px; position: relative; left: 217px; top: 16px; right: 36px; bottom: 113px; } #container #navbar { font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 14px; color: #FFF; text-align: right; height: 45px; background-color: #CC0000; position: relative; top: 8px; bottom: 0px; left: 0px; right: 0px; } #container #navbar ul li a { text-decoration: none; } #container #navbar ul { list-style-type: none; padding-top: 16px; } #container #navbar ul li { display: inline; background-color: #280803; margin: 0px; height: 0px; width: 0px; position: relative; padding-top: 16px; padding-right: 15px; padding-bottom: 17px; padding-left: 15px; } #container #navbar ul li a:link { text-decoration: none; color: #FFF; } #container #navbar ul li a:visited { text-decoration: none; color: #FFF; } #container #navbar ul li a:hover { text-decoration: none; color: #FFF; background-color: #027e8e; padding-top: 16px; padding-right: 15px; padding-bottom: 17px; padding-left: 15px; margin: 0px; } #footer { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small; height: 28px; position: relative; top: 8px; color: #FFF; font-style: italic; } </style> </head> <body> <div id="container"> <div id="logo"><a href="http://www.farrensphotography.com" title="Farren's Photography" target="_self" id="fp-logo">Farren's Photography</a></div><!-- end logo --> <div id="main"> <div id="content"> </div><!-- end content --> </div><!-- end main --> <div id="navbar"> <ul> <li><a href="index.html" target="_self">Home</a></li> <li><a href="portfolio.html" target="_self">Portfolio</a></li> <li><a href="mystyle.html" target="_self">My Style</a></li> <li><a href="specials.html" target="_self">Specials</a></li> <li><a href="pricing.html" target="_self">Pricing</a></li> <li><a href="contact.html" target="_self">Contact</a></li> </ul> </div> <!-- end navbar --> <div id="footer"> <div id="copyright">All images copyright© Farrens Photography </div><!-- end copyright --> <div id="network">Facebook button </div><!-- end network --> </div><!-- end footer --> </div><!-- end container --> </body> </html>

  • jquery scope issue

    - by matthewb
    I am having issue with the following: I can't seem to keep the link I am selecting in each repeated item. The word "this" is getting lost. the Var event_id works for each element, but the var $something is undefined? Why is that, Ideally I wanted to do a switch statement but same issue, can't seem to get it to know what link I click and the elements around it to do the action. Updated Full Function: function rsvp (selector,function_url) { $(selector).livequery('click',function(){ var $select = $(selector).attr('rel'); var $event_id= $(this).parents('ul.event-options').attr('rel'); if ($select == "attending") { $(this).closest('span.rsvp-status').html("I'm Attending &ndash; <a href='javascript:;' class='remove' rel='remove'>Remove</a>"); var $something = $(this).parents('ul.event-options').attr('rel'); alert($something); } if ($select == "remove") { $(this).closest('span.rsvp-status').html("Not Attending &ndash; <a href='javascript:;' class='rsvp' rel='attending'>RSVP?</a>"); } if ($select == "interested") { $(this).closest('li').addClass('interested'); $(this).closest('li').removeClass('not-interested'); $(this).closest('li').html("You're Interested"); } $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "/events/set_member/"+function_url, data: "event_id="+$event_id, beforeSend: function() { $("<span class='notice'>Updating...</span>").prependTo('body'); }, complete: function() { $('span.notice').fadeOut(500); } }); }); } rsvp ('a.rsvp','rsvp'); rsvp ('a.interests','interested'); rsvp ('a.remove','remove'); HTML <ul class="event-options" rel="<?=$event['event_id']?>"> <?php if($event['rsvp_total'] > 0) { ?> <!-- Show Only When Count is Greater than 0 --> <li class="group"><span class="total"><?= $event['rsvp_total']?></span>Interested </li> <?php } ?> <li class="rsvp"><span class="rsvp-status"> Not Attending &ndash; <a href="javascript:;" class="rsvp" rel="attending">RSVP?</a></span></li> <li class="not-interested"> <a href="javascript:;" class="interests" rel="interested"> Interested? </a> </li> <li class="place"><span><a href="<?=$place_path.$event['place_id']?>"><?=$event['place_name']?></a></span></li> <li class="share" rel="<?=$event['event_name']?>"> <a class="sharethis"></a> </li> </ul>

  • Why isn't my div scrolling horizontally when adding multiple images?

    - by George
    I have an outer div, and inside of that, I have an inner div which contains a list of images. When the images are wider than the outer div, I want to have it scroll horizontally, but instead, it just puts the image on the next line instead of expanding. If I add many rows, the div does scroll vertically, but horizontally, it doesn't do it. This happens on every browser I've tried - Firefox, Chrome, IE, and Safari. Here is the css: #grid-container { left:33px; position:relative; width:300px; } #grid { width:310px; height:400px; overflow:auto; margin-bottom: 15px; } #grid-container ul { width:305px; } #grid-container li { float:left; list-style-type:none; padding:5px 15px 5px 15px; height:88px; text-align:center; } .image-row { float:left; margin-left: 10px; } .grid-image { height:50px; margin-left:-20px; } Here is the html: <div id="grid-container"> <div id="grid"> <div id="row1" class="image-row"> <ul> <li> <img id="img1" class="grid-image" src="images/img1.jpg"> </li> <li> <img id="img2" class="grid-image" src="images/img2.jpg"> </li> <li> <img id="img3" class="grid-image" src="images/img3.jpg"> </li> <li> <img id="img4" class="grid-image" src="images/img4.jpg"> </li> </ul> </div> <div id="row1" class="image-row"> <ul> <li> <img id="img5" class="grid-image" src="images/img5.jpg"> </li> <li> <img id="img6" class="grid-image" src="images/img6.jpg"> </li> </ul> </div> </div> </div> The problem is img4 is showing on the second row (with img5 and img5 on the third row), even though it should on the first row and the grid div should scroll horizontally. It does scroll vertically. Can I force the div to expand? If I remove the width from the grid div, I do get the horizontal scroll bar, but the image is still on the second row.

  • jQuery tabs using radio buttons instead of list navigation

    - by caleb
    I'm following a tutorial to create a simple jquery tabs show/hide content. Wondering if there's a way to re-engineer it to use a list of radio buttons instead of a list? Tutorial here: http://www.sohtanaka.com/web-design/simple-tabs-w-css-jquery/ My js: $(".tab_content").hide(); //Hide all content $("ul.tabs li:first").addClass("active").show(); //Activate first tab $(".tab_content:first").show(); //Show first tab content //On Click Event $("ul.tabs li").click(function() { $("ul.tabs li").removeClass("active"); //Remove any "active" class $(this).addClass("active").children("input[@type=radio]").click(); //Add "active" class to selected tab $(".tab_content").hide(); //Hide all tab content var activeTab = "#" + $(this).children("input").attr("value"); //Find the href attribute value to identify the active tab + content $(activeTab).fadeIn(); //Fade in the active ID content return false; }); My HTML: <ul class="tabs"> <li><input type="radio" name="card" id="one" value="gallery" /> <label for="one">gallery</label></li> <li><input type="radio" name="card" id="two" value="submit" /> <label for="two">submit</label></li> <li><input type="radio" name="card" id="three" value="resources" /> <label for="three">resources</label></li> <li><input type="radio" name="card" id="four" value="contact" /> <label for="four">contact</label></li> </ul> <div class="tab_container"> <div id="gallery" class="tab_content"> <h2>Gallery</h2> </div> <div id="submit" class="tab_content"> <h2>Submit</h2> </div> <div id="resources" class="tab_content"> <h2>Resources</h2> </div> <div id="contact" class="tab_content"> <h2>Contact</h2> </div> </div> I'm able to actively select the radio button within the list, but not activate the actual div.

  • How to get the clicked element in a dynamically built JQuery Treeview?

    - by Alexander
    I have a product database with several product categories. Each category has a number of sub-categories, which has sub-sub-categories, which has... Well, quite some levels deep. The tree is too huge to load at once, so I need to built it dynamically as users select specific product categories. Here's a snapshot of the product tree. Initially, only the first level is loaded. The second level (Cat. 1.1 and cat. 1.2) is added when the user clicks on cat. 1: <ul id="navigation"> <li id="625212">Product cat. 1 <ul> <li id="625213">Product cat. 1.1 <ul></ul> </li> <li id="625109">Product cat. 1.2 <ul></ul> </li> </ul> </li> <li id="624990">Product cat. 2 <ul></ul> </li> </ul> I intend to extend the tree as users click on specific product categories. I can get the list of sub-categories from a URL that takes the parent product category ID as input and outputs HTML in the format needed by treeview. I cannot use PHP and have to make this work with the .click() event. Here's the code that I have: $(document).ready(function(){ function doSomethingWithData(htmldata, id) { var branches = $(htmldata).appendTo("#navigation #"+id+" ul"); $("#navigation").treeview({ add: branches }); } $("#navigation").treeview({ collapsed: true, unique: true, persist: "location" }); $("#navigation li[id]").click(function() { var id=$(this).attr("id"); if ($("#"+$(this).attr("id")+" ul li").size()==0) { $.get('someurl?id='+$(this).attr("id"), function(data) { doSomethingWithData(data, id); } ) } }); }); The problem I'm having is with the click-event. When clicking on cat 1.1. to extend it one level deeper, it still returns the ID of the top level product category. How can I change the click events so that it will return the ID of the clicked <LI> instead of the top one? If the product category does not have any sub-categories, how can I remove the <UL></UL> and thus inidcating that the tree cannot be expanded any further?

  • Troubles with list "dropdowns" and which list item gets the dropdown

    - by Andrew
    I'm working on a project for an MMO "guild" that gives members of the guild randomly generated tasks for the game. They can "block" three tasks from being assigned. The lists will look something like this: <ul> <li class="blocked">Task that is blocked</li> <li class="blocked-open">Click to block a task</li> <li class="blocked-open">Click to block a task</li> </ul> The blocked-open class means they haven't chosen a task to block yet. The blocked task means they've already blocked a task. When they click the list item, I want this to appear: <ul class="tasks-dropdown no-display"> <li><h1>Click a Task to Block</h1></li> <ul class="task-dropdown-inner"> <?php //output all tasks foreach($tasks as $task) { echo '<li class="blocked-option"><span id="'.$task.'">'.$task.'</span></li>'; } ?> <br class="clear" /> </ul> </ul> I don't quite know how, when the user clicks the .blocked-open line-item, to show that dropdown under only the one they clicked. My jQuery looked like this before I became confused. $("li.blocked-open").click(function() { $("ul.no-display").slideToggle("900"); }); $(".blocked-option span").click(function() { var task = $(this).attr('id'); alert("You have blocked: " + task); location.reload(true); }); I tested it by putting the dropdown under a line item in the code, and it worked fine, but when I have more than one dropdown in the code, clicking on one line item toggles all the dropdowns. I'm not sure what to do. :-p.

  • Getting jQuery slideshow animation to stop on click

    - by hollyb
    I have a slide show built with jQuery that pauses on hover. It has a group of thumbnails sitting on top of the image that advances the image when clicked, otherwise the slideshow just auto-rotates through all the images. There is also a +/- to expand and contract a caption related to each image. I want to have the slideshow's automatic advancing to stop if one of the thumbnails is clicked, or the +/-. Basically, just stop whenever a user clicks anywhere within the gallery (div class=".homeImg"). I'm having a major brain fart in getting this working properly and could use some advice. Here's the jQuery: $(document).ready(function() { $(".main_image .desc").show(); //Show image info $(".main_image .block").animate({ opacity: 0.85 }, 1 ); //Set Opacity //Click and Hover events for thumbnail list $(".image_thumb ul li:first").addClass('active'); // * Adds a class 'last' to the last li to let the rotator know when to return to the first $(".image_thumb ul li:last").addClass('last'); $(".image_thumb ul li").click(function(){ //Set Variables var imgAlt = $(this).find('img').attr("alt"); //Get Alt Tag of Image var imgTitle = $(this).find('a').attr("href"); //Get Main Image URL var imgDesc = $(this).find('.block').html(); //Get HTML of block var imgDescHeight = $(".main_image").find('.block').height(); //Calculate height of block if ($(this).is(".active")) { //If it's already active, then… return false; // Don't click through } else { //Animate $(".main_image img").animate({ opacity: 0}, 800 ); $(".main_image .block").animate({ opacity: 0, marginBottom: -imgDescHeight }, 800, function() { $(".main_image .block").html(imgDesc).animate({ opacity: 0.85, marginBottom: "0" }, 250 ); $(".main_image img").attr({ src: imgTitle , alt: imgAlt}).animate({ opacity: 1}, 250 ); }); } $(".image_thumb ul li").removeClass('active'); //Remove class of 'active' on all lists $(this).addClass('active'); //add class of 'active' on this list only return false; }) .hover(function(){ $(this).addClass('hover'); }, function() { $(this).removeClass('hover'); }); //Toggle teaser $("a.collapse").click(function(){ $(".main_image .block").slideToggle(); $("a.collapse").toggleClass("show"); return false; // added to remove # browser jump }); // If we are hovering over the image area, pause the clickNext function pauseClickNext = false; $(".homeImg").hover( function () { pauseClickNext = true; }, function () { pauseClickNext = false; } ); // Define function to click the next li var clickNext = function(){ if(!pauseClickNext) { /// find the next li after .active var $next_li = $("li.active").next("li"); if($("li.active").hasClass("last") ){ $(".image_thumb ul li:first").trigger("click"); } else { $next_li.trigger("click"); } } }; // Time between image transition setInterval(clickNext, 6000); });

  • How can I alter anythingSlider so that it disables the next / previous buttons when only 1 <li> in t

    - by madphill
    I have a page with multiple instances of anythingSlider on it and I'm using PHP to dynamically load pages that swap out the content in them. Reference: http://ceedcreative.com/CEED_2.0/ I would like to edit the anythingSlider to disable the previous / next buttons if the UL it's displaying only has one LI within it. In other words, no buttons, just a clean div that's the same heigh and width (no scrolling) if there's only one image.
