  I am trying to install "ia32-libs" After doing google I did following steps. • Google respond differently to two identical nginx setups and 200 codes; any ideas?

  I'm rather confused... I have a linode.com VPS which has been cloned recently, so the settings are the same between nginx servers. One lives on a dev subdomain, one on a www. I'm trying to run a google experiment on my live server, which claims: Web server rejects utm_expid. Your server doesn't support added query arguments in URLs.   We use Postfix on our CentOS 6 machine, having the following configuration. We use PHP's mail() function to send rudimentary password reset emails, but there is a problem. • Windows 7 cannot join samba domain

  I have a 3.5.6 samba server with a LDAP backend (both on Debian 6.0). I've been successfully adding Windows XP machines to the domain for years. I now try to add Windows 7. I have made the recommended registry changes, but I don't have any success so far. Here is what happens: 1. I go to computer name, select "Domain" instead of "Workgroup", type in the domain name, click OK. It asks me for the username and password of an account that can add computers to the domain; I enter them. After about 40 seconds, I get the following message: The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "ITIA": The specified computer account could not be found. Contact an administrator to verify the account is in the domain. If the account has been deleted unjoin, reboot, and rejoin the domain. Despite this, the samba server successfully creates the computer account. 2. Therefore, if I try again a second time, without deleting the already created computer account, I get a different error: The following error occurred attempting to join the domain "ITIA": The specified account already exists. (Note that until a while ago samba wasn't configured to automatically create computer accounts. What I did whenever I wanted an XP to join was to manually create it. When I first attempted to solve the Windows 7 join problem, I setup samba to do this automatically, as this is what most people do, as I understand, and I thought that it might be related. I haven't attempted to add an XP since I made this change, so I don't know if it works, but whether it works or not, the problem remains.) One of the problems I recently faced was that samba was using the latter IP address. I fixed that by adding the "interfaces = 147.102.160.1" statement in smb.conf. The above dump occurs when I click "OK" (to join the domain), until it asks me for the username and password of a user that can join the domain. I don't know why the client is contacting the second IP address. I tried temporarily deactivating it, but I still had some related ARP traffic (though I think not IP traffic).

• Make 2 virtual machines ping in virtual box

  I'm trying to make 2 virtual machines communicate in Virtual Box, but whitout any success. Here are the step I have done: I setted both VMs in Internal networking mode (using VBoxManage modifyvm "VM name" --nic<x> intnet) I setted the DHCP server that is built into VirtualBox to manage IP addresses :VBoxManage dhcpserver add --netname intnet --ip 10.13.13.100 --netmask 255.255.255.0 --lowerip 10.13.13.101 --upperip 10.13.13.254 --enable But then both of the VM have the same IP Adresse (10.13.13.101) and even if set the IP manually, the Virtual Machines are not pinging each other.

  For some reason I do not know, several default packages in my Fedora 12 installation have gone missing, removed or uninstalled. Now, reinstalling fedora 12 is not a good idea in my current situation. Can someone guide on how can I install yum package using rpm? I mean, I can't find the repository for yum. Thank you very much! • EHome IR receiver and Ubuntu 13 - any one have this working?

  I have a "generic" USB IR receiver I purchased off of Ebay to make my life a little easier with XBMC on my Ubuntu box. I am currently running 13.10 and have never tried nor have any knowledge of IR in Ubuntu. I know of lirc, and I know a lot of it is now included in the kernel. My understanding is that lirc in basic terms maps pulses from an remote control to functions - like keyboard or mouse clicks. In Ubuntu, the led is constantly blinking, and nothing happens when I press a remote key. I tried the command line program to test but it never echoes anything back to the terminal window. I believe it must need some sort of driver or something else, but I am completely in the dark on this.   In yesterday’s blog post we learned the importance of the Relational Database and NoSQL database in the Big Data Story. In this article we will understand the role of Key-Value Pair Databases and Document Databases Supporting Big Data Story. Now we will see a few of the examples of the operational databases. Relational Databases (Yesterday’s post) NoSQL Databases (Yesterday’s post) Key-Value Pair Databases (This post) Document Databases (This post) Columnar Databases (Tomorrow’s post) Graph Databases (Tomorrow’s post) Spatial Databases (Tomorrow’s post) Key Value Pair Databases Key Value Pair Databases are also known as KVP databases. A key is a field name and attribute, an identifier. The content of that field is its value, the data that is being identified and stored. They have a very simple implementation of NoSQL database concepts. They do not have schema hence they are very flexible as well as scalable. The disadvantages of Key Value Pair (KVP) database are that they do not follow ACID (Atomicity, Consistency, Isolation, Durability) properties. Additionally, it will require data architects to plan for data placement, replication as well as high availability. In KVP databases the data is stored as strings. As there is no specific schema or rules associated with the database, there are chances that database grows exponentially as well. It is very crucial to select the right Key Value Pair Database which offers an additional set of tools to manage the data and provides finer control over various business aspects of the same. Riak Rick is one of the most popular Key Value Database. It is known for its scalability and performance in high volume and velocity database. Additionally, it implements a mechanism for collection key and values which further helps to build manageable system. We will further discuss Riak in future blog posts. Key Value Databases are a good choice for social media, communities, caching layers for connecting other databases. In simpler words, whenever we required flexibility of the data storage keeping scalability in mind – KVP databases are good options to consider. Document Database There are two different kinds of document databases. 1) Full document Content (web pages, word docs etc) and 2) Storing Document Components for storage. The second types of the document database we are talking about over here. They use Javascript Object Notation (JSON) and Binary JSON for the structure of the documents. JSON is very easy to understand language and it is very easy to write for applications. There are two major structures of JSON used for Document Database – 1) Name Value Pairs and 2) Ordered List. MongoDB and CouchDB are two of the most popular Open Source NonRelational Document Database. MongoDB MongoDB databases are called collections. Each collection is build of documents and each document is composed of fields. MongoDB collections can be indexed for optimal performance. MongoDB ecosystem is highly available, supports query services as well as MapReduce. It is often used in high volume content management system. CouchDB CouchDB databases are composed of documents which consists fields and attachments (known as description). It supports ACID properties. The main attraction points of CouchDB are that it will continue to operate even though network connectivity is sketchy. Due to this nature CouchDB prefers local data storage. Document Database is a good choice of the database when users have to generate dynamic reports from elements which are changing very frequently. A good example of document usages is in real time analytics in social networking or content management system.   Brightness control doesn't work by default in Ubuntu 13.04. Solution for 12.10 doesn't work, also as this Any idea how to fix it? Update: After research I found how to change brightness manually. What need to do is to type in terminal: echo 2000 | sudo tee /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness It will reduce brightness by half, but still would be good to find solution which will allow to use keyboard for changing brightness. • Connecting PS3 dualshock on Ubuntu 14.04 with 3.13.0-34-generic?

  The last entries/queries I can find about PS3 dual shock controller are dealing with older kernel versions. It looks like there may still be a problem with using the PS3 dual shock via USB(or bluetooth) with 14.04? I'm only guessing because I get no sign of detection or input when I plug in the USB. When I run dmesg | grep sony [ 4687.762302] sony 0003:054C:0268.0003: can't set operational mode [ 4687.770639] sony: probe of 0003:054C:0268.0003 failed with error -38 So at this point, I don't know if it's worth running : sudo apt-get install xboxdrv I also found this article LINK but it's dated 01/2013. I was considering installing steam, and checking out some of the games. There are a few in particular I want to check out, but I'm afraid of purchasing them and then my controller does not work. I don't have a ps3, I just have the controller for Sixaxis/emulator/Android set up... I see mentions for QTsixa and xboxdrv, but the posts are at least a year old(older distibution/kernels) Ideally, I'd like to just plug in USB, and play. No Bluetooth.

Rather HLL’s can be best supported by optimizing performance of the most time-consuming features of typical HLL programs. Generally 3 main characteristics came up to improve performance… Use a large number of registers or use a compiler to optimize register usage Careful attention needs to be paid to the design of instruction pipelines A simplified (reduced) instruction set is indicated The use of a large register optimization One of the most important design principles of RISC machines is the use of a large number of registers. The concept of register windows and the use of a large register file versus the use of cache memory are discussed. On the face of it, the use of a large set of registers should decrease the need to access memory. The design task is to organize the registers in such a fashion that this goal is realized.   I have setup a Fedora 13 minimum install inside of a VirtualBox VM, and am following this tutorial to setup Cobbler: PXE virtual network with Virtualbox and Cobbler When I go to run the initial cobbler sync the command seems hang. How long should it take to run this command? Since I did a minimum install of Fedora 13 am I missing a application that would prevent cobbler from executing the sync properly?
