  • Using Python to add/remove Ubuntu login script items

    I have written a Python application and would like to give my users the option of having the app automatically launch itself when the user logs in. It is important that the user is able to toggle this option on/off from within the app itself, rather than having to manually edit login scripts, so this needs to be done from within the Python code rather than from a shell script. The app is deployed on Ubuntu Linux, any suggestions for the best way of doing this?

  • pdfSharp moving items on page

    Hi, I am trying to move content in a pdf document using pdfSharp. We have a number of documents that are the same size i.e. 488x320mm, the content within these documents is always positioned relative to the top right of the document but varies in size i.e. 210x330mm, 240x350mm etc. What i need to do is 'find' the content block and move it from its current position to the centre of the sheet. Please help!

    I'm trying to implement the comboboxfor as follow: @(Html.Telerik().ComboBoxFor(model => model.ProductId) .AutoFill(true) .HighlightFirstMatch(true) .DataBinding(binding => binding.Ajax().Select("GetProductByKeyword", "Product")) I managed to populate the list but does not allow me to select from the list. Also, I need to show the product name but at the same time I need to bind the productId as this is Id will stored in the database. any ideas?

  • Crosstab with multiple items

    In SPSS, it is (relatively) easy to create a cross tab with multiple variables using the factors as the table heading. So, something like the following (made up data, etc.). Q1, Q2, and Q3 each have either a 1, a 2, or a 3 for each person. 1 (very Often) 2 (Rarely) 3 (Never) Q1. Likes it 12 15 13 Q2. Recommends it 22 11 10 Q3. Used it 22 12 9 In SPSS, one can even request row, column, or total percentages. I've tried table(), ftable(), xtab(), CrossTable() from gmodels, and CrossTable() from descr, and none of these can handle (afaik) multiple variables; they mostly seem to handle 1 variable crossed with another variable, and the 3rd creates layers. Is there a package with some good cross tabbing/table examples that I could use to figure this out? I'm sure I'm missing something simple, so I appreciate you pointing out what I missed. Perhaps I have to generate each row as a separate list and then make a dataframe and print the dataframe?

  • Swapping two jQuery draggable list items not working properly (with jsFiddle example)

    The minimalist working example below swaps the two boxes when box 'one' is dragged and dropped on box 'two'. The problem is that when box 'one' is dropped, its style has 'top' & 'left' values causing it to be placed away from where it should drop. Its class includes 'ui-draggable-dragging'. It seems the top & left values are related to the amount the elements were dragged before the drop. And the dragging was 'interrupted' hence the residual 'ui-draggable-dragging' class?     I have a table where I keep all my templates: templates template_id template_name template_price These templates can be purchased by a registered user and then are inserted in the payments table: payments payment_id template_id user_id Is there a way to join these two tables and get not just a list of templates that have been purchased by a certain user, but all the templates? And then figure out from there which ones have already been purchased? I used this SELECT, but only the ones that the user bought showed up. I would like to have all the rows from templates, but empty in case the user_id doesn't match. SELECT * FROM templates LEFT JOIN payments ON templates.template_id = payments.template_id WHERE user_id = 2 GROUP BY templates.template_id

    at the time of this question, if you go here: http://www.facebook.com/realplayer you'll see six posts down, I have posted a photo with a message of "#highfive Cincinnati, OH" but if you to either of these: http://graph.facebook.com/realplayer/feed http://graph.facebook.com/realplayer/tagged the JSON that is returned seemingly includes everything on the wall, except for MY post. there is another photo post from someone else down below mine, and it is showing up (and both my photo and his photo are in the "Fan photos" section) obviously, since I can see everything with these links already, it appears that access_token is not a part of the equation... BUT, some more info: if I use an access_token from a session that isn't me, I can't see the post in the JSON if I use an access_token from MY logged in session, then I DO see the post in the JSON so I'm very confused. if everyone in the world can see those posts on the wall without even authenticating, then I expect all of them to come back in the graph api as well. anyone have thoughts on this? I am aware of the "manage_page" permission... which I can use to get a list of accounts and special offline access tokens for those pages... and that's something I can explore... but it seems like alot of work when my post seemingly SHOULD be there in the graph

Each cell has within it a UILabel and a UITextField, so one cell is: Name <enter name> ^ ^ UILabel UITextField Now, I'm trying to populate the UILabel and the UITextField from a NSDictionary (from a plist), where it's organized like so: Root Type Value Name String Address String City String etc But in order to get the right labels and textfields in the cellForRowAtIndexPath method, I would have to refer to the Dictionary numerically. Is there any way to do that?

    I have a music related ASP.NET web site which caches a lot of static information from the database on the first request. Sometimes, the application is reset and cache is cleared while the application is on heavy load and then all http requests go to the database to retrieve that static data and cache it for other requests. How can I ensure that only one request go to the database and cache the results, so that other request simply read that info from cache and not needlessly retrieve the same info over and over again. Can I use thread locking? For example, can I do something like lock(this) { db access here }?
