  • Stable URL of acts_as_taggable plugin in Ruby on Rails

    Hi, In one of my applications on Ruby on Rails, I am using acts_as_taggable plugin. Coding was doing fine and suddenly it started giving following error. RuntimeError (acts_as_taggable_on_steroids has been moved to github: http://github.com/jviney/acts_as_taggable_on_steroids): app/models/post.rb:2 app/controllers/post_controller.rb:324:in post_scoper' app/controllers/post_controller.rb:221:indefault' C:\MyApp\script\server:3 -e:2:in `load' -e:2 Rendered rescues/_trace (94.0ms) Rendered rescues/_request_and_response (15.0ms) Rendering rescues/layout (internal_server_error) When trying installing the plugin from above URL, it says plugin has been moved.   • Extracting a Rails application into a plugin or engine

    I have a Rails 2.3 application which I would like to extract into a plugin, or engine. The application has user authentication, and basic cms capabilities supported by ancestry plugin. I want to extract the logic for the application into a plugin/engine so that I can use this code for future projects, with a different "skin" or "theme" if required. I'm not entirely sure I actually understand the difference between plugin and engine concepts, so that would be a good first point. What is the best approach, are there any good starting points, links, explanations, examples that I should follow. Also, with the release of R3 to consider, is there anything that I should be aware of for that, with regards to plugins etc. I am going to start off by watching Ryan's http://railscasts.com/episodes/149-rails-engines but obviously thats over a year old now, so one of the challenges I'm faced with is finding the most up to date and relevant information on this subject. All tips and help gratefully received.

    This is a tall order, but is there a jQuery or Mootools (or other framework) plugin to wrap text around images and support IE6? I've tried the jQSlickWrap, but unless the browser supports HTML 5, you're out of luck. What's strange is that IE 6 supports the jQuery Background Canvas plugin, which uses the CANVAS object (via excanvas.js) just as this plugin does. Thanks.

Tasks need to have properties which can be easily edited, I think this can be done with Qt's Meta-Object Compiler reflection capabilities (I could be wrong, but I should be able to stick this in a QtPropertyBrowser?) For instance, "FileTasks.dll" could have tasks for deleting files, making files, etc. The only problem with Qt's plugin setup is I want to store X amount of Tasks in one .dll module. As far as I can tell, you can only load one interface per plugin (I could be wrong?). If so, the only possible way to do accomplish what I want is to create a FactoryInterface with string based keys which return the objects (as in Qt's Plug-And-Paint example), which is a terrible boilerplate that I would like to avoid. Anyone know a cleaner C++ plugin architecture than Qt's to do what I want? Also, am I safely assuming Qt's reflection capabilities will do what I want (i.e. able to edit an unknown dynamically loaded tasks' properties with the QtPropertyBrowser before dispatching)?

  • Autoformat pom.xml without using m2eclipse plugin

    I don't use the Eclipse maven plugin while developing in Eclipse. I generate my Eclipse classpath externally using the following command: mvn eclipse:eclipse This has worked fine for quite some time and I am not inclined to add a maven plugin. However, I would like to be able to "autoformat" my pom.xml file. My pom.xml is not showing up as a "Source" file and therefore the contextual "Source" menu doesn't show up. Control-Shift-F doesn't work either. Is there a way to do this without installing the m2eclipse plugin? Is there any other generic "XML Editor" plugin that can help with this?

    When using ECMAScripts typeof on plugin elements (i.e. embed or object), Safari & FireFox return "function": typeof(window.document['myPlugin']) // "function" This can't be influenced on the plugin side, as the browser doesn't call the plugin here. Funny enough, in IE the same line evaluates to "object". Is that simply implementation dependent behaviour as per ECMAScript §11.4.3 or am i missing something here?

    I have a Joomla plugin which takes varying parameters. I need to retrieve one of these parameters from the current session. I've tried using Jumi and a little PHP snipped to retrieve the value and output it in the plugin's parameter list, but the Joomla plugin parser only handles the outter-most set of curly braces. ex. {fabrik view=table id=62 resetfilters=1 fab_tours_ro___tour_id=[tour_id]} [tour_id] I need to retrieve from the current session. I've tried {fabrik view=table id=62 resetfilters=1 fab_tours_ro___tour_id={jumi [scripts/get_tour_id.php]}} In that case the {jumi} tag never gets parsed. I could hack the {fabrik} plugin, but I'd prefer to do this without making any core or component changes, especially since I update Fabrik quite regularly via svn.

    Hi Guys! I've implemented Tiny Scrollbar plugin on a website, for good-looking div scrolling. But weird stuff happens when I refresh the page in Safari or Chrome. It seams to clip some of my content. What happens upon a page refresh, that could make it behave like this? Please have a look at mettestentoft.dk I've tried using the same plugin on a simple test page, where a page refresh would make the plugin add a 'scrollbar disable' class to the div, while clicking a link linking to the same page, would make i show as it should. Tiny Scrollbar plugin demopage doesn't seem to have any problems, unless I'm missing it. So my question is: Do I have to do something jQuery-wise, in order for a page to load equally to a linked page? Thank you in advance :)

    I am using a jquery plugin from [ FilamentGroup ] called DateRangePicker. I have a simple form with two text inputs for the start and end date that I bind the DateRangePicker to using this $('input.tbDate').daterangepicker({ dateFormat: 'mm/dd/yy', earliestDate: new Date(minDate), latestDate: new Date(maxDate), datepickerOptions: { changeMonth: true, changeYear: true, minDate: new Date(minDate), maxDate: new Date(maxDate) } }); I have a collapsible table above this form that when shown, moves the form and the elements that the daterangepicker plugin is bound to, down lower on the page, but the daterangepicker appears to keep the position from when it was actually created. What code could I put in the daterangepicker's onShow Callback to update its position to be next to the element is was initially bound to? Or is there some specific jquery method or plugin that I could chain to the daterangepicker plugin so that it will update its position correctly. This would come in handy for some other plugins that I use that don't seem to keep their position relative to other elements correctly either.

    I've got a wordpress plugin which presets several settings in a wordpress site and creates some default pages which are the same for all my sites. I would like to include an html file in my plugin zip package that is placed into the site's root directory "as is" (same file name, etc) The file is my google verification file, which is the same for all my sites, so I'd like to save a few steps and automate the process of installing it, along with my default setup steps that my plugin handles.   • How can I make a Prism webapp look like Firefox to a website? (user agent spoofing)

    I thought it would be cool to use Mozilla's Prism to create a webapp for min.us, but drag and drop is disallowed because the site doesn't see the program as Firefox, Chrome or Safari, those of which are apparently the only browsers allowed to do drag and drop for fear that something will be horribly broken. I'm pretty sure Prism runs on the same engine as Firefox, yet I wouldn't doubt it if Prism is running on an older version since it's kind of a forgotten beta. Anyways, like the title says, I want to be able to make Prism webapps appear look like Firefox to websites to unlock awesome features. Also, if it can only be done with Fluid, then I answers regarding that will be fine. I'm not sure what engine it's running though.

    I am using Mozilla Firefox with a PDF viewer plug-in. The plug-in has been correctly associated with Adobe Reader files to view them in the browser in the settings. I would like to be able to view PDF files in Firefox rather than downloading them. This already works correctly when a web server indicates that a file has the Content-Type of application/pdf. However, some web servers provide other Content-Types for PDFs, such as application/octet-stream. (See this example of a PDF served with a non-pdf Content-Type.) I have looked at Firefox's MimeTypes.rdf file, and it appears to only support mapping applications based on file types for non-Internet-based files. How can I have Firefox view all PDF documents in-browser rather than only the ones with the application/pdf Content-Type?
