  • How do I set libavcodec to use 4:2:2 chroma when encoding MPEG-2 4:2:2 profile?

    - by Mike Pollitt
    I have a project using libavcodec (ffmpeg). I'm using it to encode MPEG-2 video at 4:2:2 Profile, Main Level. I have the pixel format PIX_FMT_YUV422P selected in the AVCodecContext, however the video output I'm getting has all the colours wrong, and looks to me like the encoder is incorrectly reading the buffers as though it thinks it is 4:2:0 chroma rather than 4:2:2. Here's my codec setup: // // AVFormatContext* _avFormatContext previously defined as mpeg2video // // // Set up the video stream for output // AVVideoStream* _avVideoStream = av_new_stream(_avFormatContext, 0); if (!_avVideoStream) { err = ccErrWFFFmpegUnableToAllocateStream; goto bail; } _avCodecContext = _avVideoStream->codec; _avCodecContext->codec_id = CODEC_ID_MPEG2VIDEO; _avCodecContext->codec_type = CODEC_TYPE_VIDEO; // // Set up required parameters // _avCodecContext->rc_max_rate = _avCodecContext->rc_min_rate = _avCodecContext->bit_rate = src->_avCodecContext->bit_rate; _avCodecContext->flags = CODEC_FLAG_INTERLACED_DCT; _avCodecContext->flags2 = CODEC_FLAG2_INTRA_VLC | CODEC_FLAG2_NON_LINEAR_QUANT; _avCodecContext->qmin = 1; _avCodecContext->qmax = 1; _avCodecContext->rc_buffer_size = _avCodecContext->rc_initial_buffer_occupancy = 2000000; _avCodecContext->rc_buffer_aggressivity = 0.25; _avCodecContext->profile = 0; _avCodecContext->level = 5; _avCodecContext->width = f->GetWidth(); // f is a private Frame class with width, height properties etc. _avCodecContext->height = f->GetHeight(); _avCodecContext->time_base.den = 25; _avCodecContext->time_base.num = 1; _avCodecContext->gop_size = 12; _avCodecContext->max_b_frames = 2; _avCodecContext->pix_fmt = PIX_FMT_YUV422P; if (_avFormatContext->oformat->flags & AVFMT_GLOBALHEADER) { _avCodecContext->flags |= CODEC_FLAG_GLOBAL_HEADER; } if (av_set_parameters(_avFormatContext, NULL) < 0) { err = ccErrWFFFmpegUnableToSetParameters; goto bail; } // // Set up video codec for encoding // AVCodec* _avCodec = avcodec_find_encoder(_avCodecContext->codec_id); if (!_avCodec) { err = ccErrWFFFmpegUnableToFindCodecForOutput; goto bail; } if (avcodec_open(_avCodecContext, _avCodec) < 0) { err = ccErrWFFFmpegUnableToOpenCodecForOutput; goto bail; } A screengrab of the resulting video frame can be seen at http://ftp.limeboy.com/images/screen_grab.png (the input was standard colour bars). I've checked by outputting debug frames to TGA format at various points in the process, and I can confirm that it is all fine and dandy up until the point that libavcodec encodes the frame. Any assistance most appreciated! Cheers, Mike.

  • Why second user login redirects me to /accounts/profile/ url?

    - by drupality
I am using Django built in view for user login: url(r'^user/login/$', 'django.contrib.auth.views.login', {'template_name': 'users/templates/login.html'}, name='user-login'), After login when I goto user/login again I can login second time. I submit the form and getting: The current URL, accounts/profile/, didn't match any of these. I haven't declare this url in urls.py. What I am doing wrong? Why framework want to redirect to this url?

  • Why does OpenGL's glDrawArrays() fail with GL_INVALID_OPERATION under Core Profile 3.2, but not 3.3 or 4.2?

    - by metaleap
I have OpenGL rendering code calling glDrawArrays that works flawlessly when the OpenGL context is (automatically / implicitly obtained) 4.2 but fails consistently (GL_INVALID_OPERATION) with an explicitly requested OpenGL core context 3.2. (Shaders are always set to #version 150 in both cases but that's beside the point here I suspect.) According to specs, there are only two instances when glDrawArrays() fails with GL_INVALID_OPERATION: "if a non-zero buffer object name is bound to an enabled array and the buffer object's data store is currently mapped" -- I'm not doing any buffer mapping at this point "if a geometry shader is active and mode? is incompatible with [...]" -- nope, no geometry shaders as of now. Furthermore: I have verified & double-checked that it's only the glDrawArrays() calls failing. Also double-checked that all arguments passed to glDrawArrays() are identical under both GL versions, buffer bindings too. This happens across 3 different nvidia GPUs and 2 different OSes (Win7 and OSX, both 64-bit -- of course, in OSX we have only the 3.2 context, no 4.2 anyway). It does not happen with an integrated "Intel HD" GPU but for that one, I only get an automatic implicit 3.3 context (trying to explicitly force a 3.2 core profile with this GPU via GLFW here fails the window creation but that's an entirely different issue...) For what it's worth, here's the relevant routine excerpted from the render loop, in Golang: func (me *TMesh) render () { curMesh = me curTechnique.OnRenderMesh() gl.BindBuffer(gl.ARRAY_BUFFER, me.glVertBuf) if me.glElemBuf > 0 { gl.BindBuffer(gl.ELEMENT_ARRAY_BUFFER, me.glElemBuf) gl.VertexAttribPointer(curProg.AttrLocs["aPos"], 3, gl.FLOAT, gl.FALSE, 0, gl.Pointer(nil)) gl.DrawElements(me.glMode, me.glNumIndices, gl.UNSIGNED_INT, gl.Pointer(nil)) gl.BindBuffer(gl.ELEMENT_ARRAY_BUFFER, 0) } else { gl.VertexAttribPointer(curProg.AttrLocs["aPos"], 3, gl.FLOAT, gl.FALSE, 0, gl.Pointer(nil)) /* BOOM! */ gl.DrawArrays(me.glMode, 0, me.glNumVerts) } gl.BindBuffer(gl.ARRAY_BUFFER, 0) } So of course this is part of a bigger render-loop, though the whole "*TMesh" construction for now is just two instances, one a simple cube and the other a simple pyramid. What matters is that the entire drawing loop works flawlessly with no errors reported when GL is queried for errors under both 3.3 and 4.2, yet on 3 nvidia GPUs with an explicit 3.2 core profile fails with an error code that according to spec is only invoked in two specific situations, none of which as far as I can tell apply here. What could be wrong here? Have you ever run into this? Any ideas what I have been missing?

    - by korben
i'm trying to run a conditional statement in a class i'm placing in my App_Code folder the condition is whether the person is logged in or not. I normally have two ways to do this in my masterpage and ASPX's if (!User.IsAuthenticated) or if(Profile.username = "anonymous") however neither of these things seem available to me in the .cs i'm making. anyone know what i'm missing? maybe a using namespace up top?

  • Did anyone created the Java Code Formatter Profile for Eclipse IDE that conforms to the Android Code

    - by yvolk
Android Code Style Guide defines "Android Code Style Rules". To conform to these rules one have to change quite a number of settings of the Java Code Formatter (Window-Preferences-Java-Formatter) default profile (in Eclipse IDE). Did anyone managed to configure the formatter to follow the "Android Code Style Rules" already? PS: I've tried to do this myself but I've found that there are too many formatter options available, and most of them are not mentioned in the Code Style Guide :-(

  • Get gprof to profile based on wall-clock time?

    - by jetwolf
My understanding is that by default gprof takes into account CPU time. Is there a way to get it to profile based on wall-clock time? My program does a lot of disk i/o, so the CPU time it uses only represents a fraction of the actual execution time. I need to know which portions of the disk i/o take up the most time.

  • Upload Image with Django Model Form

    - by jmitchel3
I'm having difficulty uploading the following model with model form. I can upload fine in the admin but that's not all that useful for a project that limits admin access. #Models.py class Profile(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=128) user = models.ForeignKey(User) profile_pic = models.ImageField(upload_to='img/profile/%Y/%m/') #views.py def create_profile(request): try: profile = Profile.objects.get(user=request.user) except: pass form = CreateProfileForm(request.POST or None, instance=profile) if form.is_valid(): new = form.save(commit=False) new.user = request.user new.save() return render_to_response('profile.html', locals(), context_instance=RequestContext(request)) #Profile.html <form enctype="multipart/form-data" method="post">{% csrf_token %} <tr><td>{{ form.as_p }}</td></tr> <tr><td><button type="submit" class="btn">Submit</button></td></tr> </form> Note: All the other data in the form saves perfectly well, the photo does not upload at all. Thank you for your help!

  • I can't get areas working in VS2010

    - by devlife
I just upgraded from VS2010 RC to RTM. Now my areas aren't working. I have a Profile area with a Home controller and an Action method Index(). If I try: http://localhost:4951/profile I get a 404 error saying that the resource can't be found. If I try http://localhost:4951/profile/home I get the same error. However, if I try http://localhost:4951/profile/home/index then the view is returned. Here is my ProfileAreaRegistration: public class ProfileAreaRegistration : AreaRegistration { public override string AreaName { get { return "Profile"; } } public override void RegisterArea(AreaRegistrationContext context) { context.MapRoute( "Profile_Unlock", "Profile/Unlock/{userID}/{unlockID}", new { controller = "Unlock", action = "Index" }, new { userID = new GuidRouteConstraint(), unlockID = new GuidRouteConstraint() } ); context.MapRoute( "Profile_default", "Profile/{controller}/{action}/{id}", new { action = "Home", id = UrlParameter.Optional } ); } Does anyone know what is going wrong?

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center : Using Operational Profiles to Install Packages and other Content

    - by LeonShaner
Oracle Enterprise Manager Ops Center provides numerous ways to deploy content, such as through OS Update Profiles, or as part of an OS Provisioning plan or combinations of those and other "Install Software" capabilities of Deployment Plans.  This short "how-to" blog will highlight an alternative way to deploy content using Operational Profiles. Usually we think of Operational Profiles as a way to execute a simple "one-time" script to perform a basic system administration function, which can optionally be based on user input; however, Operational Profiles can be much more powerful than that.  There is often more to performing an action than merely running a script -- sometimes configuration files, packages, binaries, and other scripts, etc. are needed to perform the action, and sometimes the user would like to leave such content on the system for later use. For shell scripts and other content written to be generic enough to work on any flavor of UNIX, converting the same scripts and configuration files into Solaris 10 SVR4 package, Solaris 11 IPS package, and/or a Linux RPM's might be seen as three times the work, for little appreciable gain.   That is where using an Operational Profile to deploy simple scripts and other generic content can be very helpful.  The approach is so powerful, that pretty much any kind of content can be deployed using an Operational Profile, provided the files involved are not overly large, and it is not necessary to convert the content into UNIX variant-specific formats. The basic formula for deploying content with an Operational Profile is as follows: Begin with a traditional script header, which is a UNIX shell script that will be responsible for decoding and extracting content, copying files into the right places, and executing any other scripts and commands needed to install and configure that content. Include steps to make the script platform-aware, to do the right thing for a given UNIX variant, or a "sorry" message if the operator has somehow tried to run the Operational Profile on a system where the script is not designed to run.  Ops Center can constrain execution by target type, so such checks at this level are an added safeguard, but also useful with the generic target type of "Operating System" where the admin wants the script to "do the right thing," whatever the UNIX variant. Include helpful output to show script progress, and any other informational messages that can help the admin determine what has gone wrong in the case of a problem in script execution.  Such messages will be shown in the job execution log. Include necessary "clean up" steps for normal and error exit conditions Set non-zero exit codes when appropriate -- a non-zero exit code will cause an Operational Profile job to be marked failed, which is the admin's cue to look into the job details for diagnostic messages in the output from the script. That first bullet deserves some explanation.  If Operational Profiles are usually simple "one-time" scripts and binary content is not allowed, then how does the actual content, packages, binaries, and other scripts get delivered along with the script?  More specifically, how does one include such content without needing to first create some kind of traditional package?   All that is required is to simply encode the content and append it to the end of the Operational Profile.  The header portion of the Operational Profile will need to contain the commands to decode the embedded content that has been appended to the bottom of the script.  The header code can do whatever else is needed, and finally clean up any intermediate files that were created during the decoding and extraction of the content. One way to encode binary and other content for inclusion in a script is to use the "uuencode" utility to convert the content into simple base64 ASCII text -- a form that is suitable to be appended to an Operational Profile.   The behavior of the "uudecode" utility is such that it will skip over any parts of the input that do not fit the uuencoded "begin" and "end" clauses.  For that reason, your header script will be skipped over, and uudecode will find your embedded content, that you will uuencode and paste at the end of the Operational Profile.  You can have as many "begin" / "end" clauses as you need -- just separate each embedded file by an empty line between "begin" and "end" clauses. Example:  Install SUNWsneep and set the system serial number Script:  deploySUNWsneep.sh ( <- right-click / save to download) Highlights: #!/bin/sh # Required variables: OC_SERIAL="$OC_SERIAL" # The user-supplied serial number for the asset ... Above is a good practice, showing right up front what kind of input the Operational Profile will require.   The right-hand side where $OC_SERIAL appears in this example will be filled in by Ops Center based on the user input at deployment time. The script goes on to restrict the use of the program to the intended OS type (Solaris 10 or older, in this example, but other content might be suitable for Solaris 11, or Linux -- it depends on the content and the script that will handle it). A temporary working directory is created, and then we have the command that decodes the embedded content from "self" which in scripting terms is $0 (a variable that expands to the name of the currently executing script): # Pass myself through uudecode, which will extract content to the current dir uudecode $0 At that point, whatever content was appended in uuencoded form at the end of the script has been written out to the current directory.  In this example that yields a file, SUNWsneep.7.0.zip, which the rest of the script proceeds to unzip, and pkgadd, followed by running "/opt/SUNWsneep/bin/sneep -s $OC_SERIAL" which is the command that stores the system serial for future use by other programs such as Explorer.   Don't get hung up on the example having used a pkgadd command.  The content started as a zip file and it could have been a tar.gz, or any other file.  This approach simply decodes the file.  The header portion of the script has to make sense of the file and do the right thing (e.g. it's up to you). The script goes on to clean up after itself, whether or not the above was successful.  Errors are echo'd by the script and a non-zero exit code is set where appropriate. Second to last, we have: # just in case, exit explicitly, so that uuencoded content will not cause error OPCleanUP exit # The rest of the script is ignored, except by uudecode # # UUencoded content follows # # e.g. for each file needed, #  $ uuencode -m {source} {source} > {target}.uu5 # then paste the {target}.uu5 files below # they will be extracted into the workding dir at $TDIR # The commentary above also describes how to encode the content. Finally we have the uuencoded content: begin-base64 444 SUNWsneep.7.0.zip UEsDBBQAAAAIAPsRy0Di3vnukAAAAMcAAAAKABUAcmVhZG1lLnR4dFVUCQADOqnVT7up ... VXgAAFBLBQYAAAAAAgACAJEAAADTNwEAAAA= ==== That last line of "====" is the base64 uuencode equivalent of a blank line, followed by "end" and as mentioned you can have as many begin/end clauses as you need.  Just separate each embedded file by a blank line after each ==== and before each begin-base64. Deploying the example Operational Profile looks like this (where I have pasted the system serial number into the required field): The job succeeded, but here is an example of the kind of diagnostic messages that the example script produces, and how Ops Center displays them in the job details: This same general approach could be used to deploy Explorer, and other useful utilities and scripts. • Merge only a one remote branch into a local branch with Mercurial

    - by Pepijn
I wan to manage some profiles as XML files in Mercurial repos. The setup I'm thinking of: Each user has a repo with a branch where he manages his own profile, and a number of branches where he can pull and merge other profiles from that branch of another user. So for example I have my own profile branch and a branch labeled friends, in which I want to pull the profile branches of a few remote repos, to collect like a collection of profiles. I figured out that since the repos are unrelated I need to use -f, but I can't figure out how to pull and merge only a single branch into another. So I want like me friend someone profile ---> friends <--- profile \-> family friends <--- profile Is this even possible? Should I use separate repos instead? Is there a better solution?

  • Can't Launch Firefox on OS X 10.6

    - by user61804
When I try to run Firefox 3.6 or 4 beta I get a message saying: Profile Missing Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible. I have tried running the profile manger from the command line using: /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -ProfileManager I get the same message in the popup, but I also get: Error: Access was denied while trying to open files in your profile directory. I have tried deleting firefox and reinstalling it. I have also tried deleting anything related to Firefox or Mozilla in the ~/Library/Application Support directories, but nothing seems to help. In addition I have run the disk utility to fix any permissions issues. If I create a new profile or run the command with sudo it works. It seem that that Firefox is trying to put the profile somewhere it doesn't have access to write, but I can't figure out how to change this location or change the permissions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • "The binary you uploaded was invalid. the file was not a valid zip file" Error message uploading app

    - by Keith Loughnane
Hi, I'm trying to upload an iPhone app binary to iTunesConnect and keep getting the following error message "The binary you upload was invalid. the file was not a valid zip file". I had an app upload ok recently but this app is having problems. So after a while I carefully went through the following steps trying to make sure everything was ok. Any help is appreciated. The steps: renamed the project (Project-Rename... enter name into Rename project to:) to release name making sure the name has no spaces. Cleaned project Make sure references in build setting reflect new app name Create new app ID matching project name in iPhone Provisioning Portal Destroyed old developer and distributer provisioning profiles in Provisioning Portal, in XCode and on iPhone. Create new development provisioning profile using new app name. Install development provisioning profile into XCode 8) Build (Release) for iPhone OS 3.1.3 (highest my phone will upgrade to, I'm assuming current released version) Builds, Installs and Runs on actual iPhone: To me this implys App and developer ID's are OK. Create a distributor provisioning profile using existing Distributer ID. Install distributer ID into XCode Clean Checked that "Code Signing Identity" and "Any iPhone OS Device" lines in Build settings are set to Distributor ID Build for release for OS 3.1.3 Check Build results to make sure code is signed with Distributor Profile Reveal .app file and compress (alt click Compress "appName.app") Upload to iTunes connect Gives "The binary you uploaded was invalid. The file was not a valid zip file"

  • How to profile the execution of an OSGi deployment?

    - by Jaime Soriano
I'm starting the development of an OSGi bundle for an application that will be deployed in a device with some hardware limitations. I'd like to know how could I profile the execution of that bundle to be always sure that it's going to fit with its dependencies in the final device. It would be nice to have a profiler to know how much memory is each bundle using, to localize bottle necks and to compare different implementations of the same service. Is there any profiler for OSGi deployments or should I use a general Java profiler? For developing I'm using Pax runner with Apache felix to run the bundle and maven to manage project dependencies and building.

  • JetBrains dotTrace, is it possible to profile source code line by line? else I need another tool

    - by m3ntat
I am using JetBrains dotTrace, I've profiled my app which is entirely CPU bound. But the results as you walk down the tree don't sum to the level above in the tree, I only see method calls not the body lines of the node in questions method. Is it possible to profile the source code line by line. i.e for one node: SimulatePair() 99.04% --nextUniform() 30.12% --IDCF() 24.08% So the method calls nextUniform + IDCF use 54% of the time in SimulatePair (or 54% total execution time I'm not sure how to read this) regardless what is happening the other 46% of SimulatePair I need some detail on a line by line basis. Any help or alternative tools is much appreciated. Thanks

  • best mysql field setup to have a "couples" member profile data saving.

    - by acctman
Couple database profile entry, which would be the best way to save data. Also the data will be retrieved via php coding and if it could be down with one query code that would be ideal. Within the site_member table create multiple field for each field... ex: m_firstname1, m_firstname2, m_age1, m_age2, etc... Store the couple member data in one field each... and separate with a comma in the data field ex: m_firstname (Mike, Sherry) Create a separate table site_member_c duplicating the same fields that are in site_member table. This is roughly about 10 fields
