I am confused whether i should buy thermal binder or spiral binder. Money is not any problem but i want the long term use. How reliable is the thermal binder?   • Alternative to setpoint that allows key configuration profiles for multiple mice?

    I have 2 mice: Logitech MX Revolution and Razer DeathAdder. I use my mx revolution for browsing internet (I set up a lot of hotkeys on all my buttons to make browsing really convenient) and the deathadder for gaming (the mouse is a lot more accurate and smooth). The problem is that by having two mice, setpoint randomly forgets its settings once in a while (I'm assuming due to getting confused why theres two input devices), and I constantly have to restart setpoint (every few minutes) to get it to rerecognize that the

  • Need help making site available externally

    I'm trying to open a hole in the firewall (ASA 5505, v8.2) to allow external access to a Web application. Via ASDM (6.3?), I've added the server as a Public Server, which creates a static NAT entry [I'm using the public IP that is assigned to 'dynamic NAT--outgoing' for the LAN, after confirming on the Cisco forums that it wouldn't bring everyone's access crashing down] and an incoming rule "any... public_ip... https... allow" but traffic is still not getting through. When I look at the log viewer, it says it's denied by access-group outside_access_in, implicit rule, which is "any any ip deny" I haven't had much experience with Cisco management. I can't see what I'm missing to allow this connection through, and I'm wondering if there's anything else special I have to add. I tried adding a rule (several variations) within that access-group to allow https to the server, but it never made a difference. Maybe I haven't found the right combination? :P I also made sure the Windows firewall is open on port 443, although I'm pretty sure the current problem is Cisco, because of the logs. :) Any ideas? If you need more information, please let me know. Thanks Edit: First of all, I had this backward.     Hi Guys, How do you generally proceed for your package installations on Linux, for packages that are not part of your distrib's repos? On my side I am used to install in /opt. But since, I saw this doc on the Internet: http://www.pathname.com/fhs/. Now I am confused: apparently /usr/local would be also a possibility. What is the difference between both? If there were a Windows 8 Home Premium midway between those two I would've chosen that... but there are only two Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro, so I'm a bit confused, as I don't want the former to be like Windows 7 Basic.     I was curious and confused that what exactly is the behaviour of CTRl+Z. I know, If a process in running in foreground, and we press ctrl+z, it goes to background. But what exactly happens. Does it keep doing it's job, or does it get suspended, and stopped at the point where it was. Can someone please explain.   • I have problems printing from gedit in windows

    Gedit in linux works like a champ. For me, in two installations Gedit in Windows xp works well except that it will not print properly on HP laser jets or toshibas laser printers. It will make a 90 page project out of two pages of text composed in gedit. It puts one or two confused lines of text at the top of a sheet and then ejects the page. Any suggestions? jac

    I am installing postfix and I am confused what to put for the system mail name. It has an exmaple that sais use "example.org" if a mail address on the system is "[email protected]" but it also sais that the mail name should be the FQDN. my hostname is "mercury" and my FQDN is "mercury.pacificseatheat.org", so should I use "pacificseatheat.org" or "mercury.pacificseatheat.org" for the system mail name?   • Monitor occasionally doesn't display properly

    Hi, I am using dual monitors, and this behavior has occured on 2 different computers (using the same monitors). When I turn the monitors off, and then on again after a while, 1 monitor turns on, displays the Dell logo etc. but doesn't display the windows login. It is just a blank page, and then the green light turns orange. Turning it on/off many times or just waiting a while eventually results in it working again, but I am very confused why!

  • Qemu not installed on ubuntu with xen 4.0.1 ?

I've installed Xen on a fresh/clean ubuntu 10.10 server (x64) using : hg clone xen-4.0-testing.hg make world make install-kernels Trying to launch qemu; first "not found" Then I installed from source (from tarballs at qemu.org) But then qemu complains about not finding /dev/kvm Am I missing something here ? I thought that qemu was part of xen install (at least it was from 3.x series). All i have is qemu-img-xen and qemu-nbd-xen.
