  I would like to put my local OS X wordpress site in my ~users/Sites/public directory, instead of the ~users/Sites so i can properly setup a capistrano deployment. When i try this i can visit the site locally by visiting http://localhost/public and everything looks and works great but if i ever try to go to http://localhost/public/wp-admin to administer my local copy of wordpress it tries to redirect me back to http://localhost/wp-admin which doesn't exist. Do you know how I might be able to work around this problem?

  Hi I have my wordpress in a folder, i updated the url options in the wordpress genereal settings to the root folder, i then copied all the files from the directory to the root. I have not deleted the old directory yet! When i go to log in, i can not do so, in the url it still says redirect to the old directoy. What should i do, do i have to delete the ole directory?

At the moment I am using TDO-Miniforms and wordpress 2.9.2, but TDO-miniforms has stopped development and is broken with wordpress 3.0 that just came out.   I want to use PEAR's HTML_Template_IT in one of my Wordpress page templates so I can separate the HTML from the PHP. I got it working, except I am not sure about one thing. Wordpress's built-in function get_header() actually echo's HTML - so I can't technically set it as a template variable. Is this considered acceptable or is there another way to put the contents of get_header() in a variable? Thanks!

I then found that I am unable to access the DOM. When I tried : document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0].addEventListener('load', function() {}); This error was: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'addEventListener' of undefined This is the first time I have used 'settings api' or inserted scripts into the WordPress admin.
