  I have a linode instance, I was successfully connecting to it via ssh. But I've decided to rebuild my instance and then I can not connect to that instance via ssh. • Detecting Units on a Grid

  I am making a little turn based strategy game in pygame, that uses a grid system as the main map to hold all the characters and the map layout. (Similar to Fire Emblem, or Advance Wars) I am trying to determine a way to quickly and efficiently (i.e. without too much of a slow down) check if there are any characters within a given range of the currently selected character. So to illustrate: O = currently selected character X = squares within range Range of 1: X X O X X Range of 2: X X X X X X O X X X X X X Range of 3: X X X X X X X X X X X X O X X X X X X X X X X X X Now I have to tell the user who is in range, and I have to let the user choose who to attack if there are multiple enemies in range. If I have a 5x5 grid, filled with " " for empty and numbers for the characters: [ ][ ][ ][ ][4] [ ][1][ ][ ][ ] [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] [ ][ ][2][3][ ] [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ] Depending on which character the user selects, I would like to show the user which other characters are in range. So if they all had a range of 3: 1 can hit 2 2 can hit 1 or 3 3 can hit 2 4 cannot hit anyone. So, How do I quickly and/or efficiently run though my grid and tell the user where the enemies are? • Why is <my site url> not indexed by search engines? [closed]

  was indexed fine until about a year ago. The only thing I can think of is that search engines throw up at using h5 before h4, or that some person (fantasizing now) has reported my site as unsafe to every search engine. However, I'm not here to speculate. The site validates, and has an RSS feed on the front page, for Pat Morita's sake! To me, it looks like the kind of site search engines would feast on. It's got more than a dozen blogs on it, if nothing else. Hah. :) I was thinking you could identify basically what has changed in search engines (currently, google, yahoo, bing which used to work fine) the last year to make them not find news and blog articles on this site. The site was submitted to Google, oh, way back in 2006. With online crawler tests I get mixed results, some crawlers index fine, some go blank. I don't really know which ones are reliable and am looking to you guys for advice on that. Yes, I am prepared to again verify my site with Google and upload a sitemap, but that's not the topic here. I really would first like to know what change on the site last year could make search engines not index it. (Yees, the robots.txt is fine. Should be nothing to discourage bots there.) It's a very intriguing problem. One which I have yet to find the reason for but would like to know the reason for. Any and all input appreciated, but I would heavily enjoy pertinent advice the most. ;) Edit: Some google searches that don't show up include - aca630 All of which are posted in the news and blogs that are on the front page there. Now, these search terms are extremely specific as the term in is almost unique on the web and ACA630 is also a very qualified search term that can't be confused with mainstream search terms.

• Ubuntu server 11.04 recognize only 1 core instead of 4

  I searched for other questions and googled a lot but I don't find a solution for solving this problem. Ubuntu Server 11.04 64bit installed on Dell Poweredge with Intel Xeon X5450. He only recognize 1 of the 4 cores I have. Tried to modify the GRUB config but didn't work. IN the machine BIOS I didn't find anything useful. • Extension GLX missing...on a desktop PC

  I just installed Ubuntu 12.10 on a new PC with an Nvidia GTX 560 graphics card, but after installing the Nvidia proprietary drivers (either -current or -current-updates), Unity won't start. When trying to start it manually I get the message "extension GLX missing". I've searched around and found results like this question which point out it's a problem with Nvidia Optimus laptops. The three most recent programs were recorded during a virtual mini meet-up of architects back in February.  You’ll find more detail here, but in a nutshell, I invited several previous Arch2Arch panelists to join me on Skype to talk about whatever was on their minds.  The resulting conversation yielded the three latest programs. • MKMapView refresh after pin moves

  A custom AnnotationView is updated with new coordinates. But the problem is that it visually updates only after some manipulations with MKMapView, e.g. zooming or moving.   Hi , While validating my CSS on http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ I am getting following errors: 1.Property zoom doesn't exist : 1 1. 2.Property -webkit-transition doesn't exist : all 200ms ease-in all 200ms ease-in 3.Property opacity doesn't exist in CSS level 2.1 4.Property -moz-border-radius doesn't exist 5.Property -webkit-border-radius doesn't exist Is it really required to validate the MarkUp and CSS completely for SEO or these errors which mostly are browser specific can be ignored for now. If these errors have to removed can someone please suggest the way to do so also.

• Creating a tiled map with blender

  I'm looking at creating map tiles based on a 3D model made in blender, The map is 16 x 16 in blender. I've got 4 different zoom levels and each tile is 100 x 100 pixels. The entire map at the most zoomed out level is 4 x 4 tiles constructing an image of 400 x 400. The most zoomed in level is 256 x 256 obviously constructing an image of 25600 x 25600 What I need is a script for blender that can create the tiles from the model. I've never written in python before so I've been trying to adapt a couple of the scripts which are already there. So far I've come up with a script, but it doesn't work very well. I'm having real difficulties getting the tiles to line up seamlessly. I'm not too concerned about changing the height of the camera as I can always create the same zoomed out tiles at 6400 x 6400 images and split the resulting images into the correct tiles.
